Yes. There's no way have the ability to hold a survivor alive on the hook indefinitely will stay. Not only is it a possible griefing tool, but I don't see it as healthy either since a basekit pause the hook progress was tested years ago and removed for being abused by survivors. This is just that with extra steps.
I think the devs forgot that more than 1 survivor can use reassurance.
To be fair, that was a hot topic when I first started playing DBD.
So much has changed since then and I'd like to see it tested again.
Also, it is not without risk. 6 meters is not a massive distance, you will need to get fairly close to the hooked player in most scenario's.

Soon, I hope.
She's a relic from a different age. She shouldn't get the Billy or Freddy treatment but maybe get something like Doctor. Same powers, just in a different format. Idk.

I would try to launch it again.
See if it gives you anything

Correct.
The Grind is worse for you. Enjoy the 10K BP per game and the grind 'reduction'.

Have you ever went into a lobby that had rare event items with franklins, slapped it out of their hands and immediately dced?
When I was younger, more petty and cared more about DBD; I used to take Legion when Franklin's worked with Feral Frenzy and do that.

Good for you but I will never let anyone get the achievement, I got all day and night.
Then I suppose it's a good thing I got it well over 3 years ago.

Its a meme perk but its a pretty funny meme perk.
Mad Grit is better
-
I think it's on both of you.
You can force a grab but that achievement is notoriously difficult to get.
Back in the day when I got it, I stayed in a match for a couple of hours because someone wouldn't get out of the locker and I was fed up with 3 Tombstone'd Survivors.

But frankies though
Who runs Franklin's other than Pinhead?
It's literally not worth the perk slot. Why would I ever bring Franklin's over Overcharge, Eruption, Call of Brine, Pain Res, STBFL, Surge, Corrupt, No Way Out ect ect ect
-
I don't like the fact that they have Amazon Prime skins in the first place but it is kinda ######### to make it a Rift skin.

Oh, I do not think content should be removed unless it's horrendously bad (RPD) but your statement was also pretty bad in the exact opposite direction.

I personally don't think any survivor perks are OP.
But killer i honestly feel like there is a lot of OP perks.
In alphabetical order...
Deadlock - Allows for camping to be very viable.
Franklin's Demise - I feel like this perk can take way too much away from survivors. It's also more available due to the progression rework so if you prestige bubba and play a random killer and see survivors with items you can always put this perk on whenever you want. I think this perk is the biggest reason why items aren't used that much.
Hex : Devour Hope - Can win you games. Combine it with other hexes like plaything, haunted grounds, retribution, undying, the survivors could have a really hard time finding it before they are killed.
Hex : Noed. - This perk did not get much weaker lets be real.
Hex : Plaything + Hex : Pentimento - Plaything does a lot. It is very debilitating for solo queue on indoor maps. Can make tunnelling very easy. It's devastating on Pig. And the amount of hexes it spawns it can really get in the way of boon perks. Combine it with pentimento and you get very oppressive slowdown.
Infectious Fright - On some slugging capable killers there is just no escape against this perk. Only way to counter it is to use Calm Spirit but nobody wants to use that perk.
Jolt - On Midwich and Game this perk can be very oppressive now.
Make Your Choice - Rusty Shackles Mint Rag Hag.
No Way Out - No Way Out combined with DS and OTR deactivating during endgame means that endgame builds are very strong with no way out. This perk can usually guarantee you at least 1 kill.
Rancor - There's sometimes no escape against rancor. Used against undetectable killers and you have no warning.
STFBL - This perk on demogorgon is ridiculous.
Pain Resonance - Best slowdown perk currently.
Deadlock: I sort of agree, but I think Reassurance makes this a non-issue.
Franklin's: This perk is not OP. This perk isn't even good. It counters med-kits and that's really it. Items are used in most of my matches.
Devour Hope: This perk is the literal definition of high-risk high-reward. It is a complete gamble.
NOED: I do not know if I would call it OP, but I would call it bad design.
Plaything: Obliviousness isn't a huge deal. Most Killers give off sound effects and footsteps, watch your surroundings and you'll be fine.
Infectious: It's only good on two Killers. Oni and Nurse. Literally just keep holding W and you'll be okay.
Surge: It's not even close to OP. It shouldn't have the Basic Attack requirement and I will die on that hill.
Make Your Choice: Is a very healthy perk. Promotes anti-tunnel and anti-camping gameplay. W perk.
No Way Out: Is a healthy perk. Promotes spreading damage and anti-camping gameplay. W perk.
Rancor: You literally have the entire game to prepare for Rancor. You know it's going to proc. Get in a damn locker and wait for a Gate to be opened.
STBFL: Should go back to how it was pre-patch, but other than that it's fine.
Pain Res: Is not the best slowdown perk. It's a fine perk as of right now.
-
I think Eruption is overtuned against non 4-man teams.

Whoever is closest, of course. Why would you run across the entire map? It's not much different from three people swarming a hook. Two of those people knew what they were doing was wrong.
Clearly, you haven't played Solo Q.
You don't know who's closest. That's....kinda the entire idea.
3 people running towards the Box makes sure Pinhead will grab it and that nobody is doing gens. Or, more likely, you think that since you're across the map, surely one of your teammates will grab it. Surely.

It is.
2 Billy games, first game I have 4 Survivors with at least 4k hours each (4k, 5k, 5k, 5k to be precise). And the next game, I have: 1 private profile, 1 Survivor with 300 hours, one with 52 hours and one with 7 hours. I guess the latter group was an SWF, but still. This just shows how lenient the Matchmaking is.
And if it would not be so lenient, Killer queues would probably be longer than 7 minutes.
Had this exact thing yesterday.
First Survivor, 5K hours. Second Survivor, 1K hours. Third Survivor, 12 hours. Fourth one was on PC but they did not play like they knew what a pallet was.
-
Disagree with reasoning, agree with conclusion.
BBQ and WGLF BP bonuses should be made basekit to help with the overwhelming grind.
-
@Man_of_triangles said:
I don't understand the issues with Pinhead. You pick up the box and solve it when he's not close enough to interrupt you. What is the problem?
The Box provides massive passive slowdown that is virtually useless against SWF but it is incredibly punishing to Solo Q Survivors who lack info on who is going for the Box.

Finally, balanced Nemesis.
Not unless he can sprint at Billy speeds and mutates whenever he's stunned.
-
@Lx_malice said:
Why is the answer yes?
Probably because some are bad at the game and refuse to learn to play and get better. That's my guess.
Can't believe people still use this argument.
Shades of "just wait it out"

Removed? No.
Nerfed? Yeah.

Maybe according to our local RE fanatic who insists Nemesis should have a rocket launcher

I just don't understand why it took 6 years to get a counter to camping at gen 5. And it's a perk, so there goes another perk slot.
It doesn't really counter camping for the person on the hook. Their game is still over.
What it does is allow the rest of the team to win, if they play it right.
But yeah, you'll need DS, BT, OTR and Reassurance after this update.

Why don't you think it should come?
Three reasons listed in terms of personal importance.
1) It's fanbase.
No offense to you but FNAF already had a very negative connotation in my mind prior to the Pinhead teaser debacle on the Forums. The fanbase has an awful reputation and seeing the actual insanity and spam they produced was really just the nail in the coffin for my opinion. The fanbase is children and extremely cringy.
2) It's creator. Not going to talk about this one much, since it pertains to politics.
3) The actual content.
FNAF is...not a complicated game. Almost everyone is familiar with the first one and that's the one I'll be referencing. It's simple jumpscares. It might've been cool in 2014 but it doesn't really translate well to DBD. There are better games that would translate better that should come first.
To sum it up, there are better games with better fanbases with better creators that should come to DBD way before FNAF is even considered.

C++ is what my dad learned to code on in the early 90's.

Facecamping is so bad. You would think with all the incentives to not facecamp in this patch, we'd never see it again.
Indeed.
People will usually use the strategy which allows them to win with the least amount of effort.

I did a leveling cost study a while back and recorded bloodweb-by-bloodweb totals for what it takes to get a fresh character from 1 to 50. It has mostly been pretty consistent, though I am curious what the increased item rarities do to those numbers on a fresh prestige cycle.
On a P16 Steve, 2 mil BP got me about 48 levels after being very efficient in the webs.

-
What you are suggesting would be bad for the game.
-
Most DBD lore feels kinda cheesy and weird to me so I can't say I'm interested
-
Yeah, most of my Survivor games have been pretty awful.
A lot of Killers understand that Survivors chase potential got massively nerfed and are taking full advantage of it.
A shame.
-
Steve main has a Steve profile picture.
I'm sure everyone is shocked.

I mean thats true but it isnt that slow i bought dredge last week and im halfway to my next character playing a couple hours a night on average
It takes about 24 hours of gameplay for 9K shards.
Assuming you buy no teachables from the Shrine or skins, it will take you about 550 hours to unlock every "free" character.
This does not account for BP or getting their perks.

I didn't get anything yesterday or today.

Focus on the unlocks in front of you and then worry about the next unlock. Plan it out like a grand strategy game.

You have to prestige a character three times to get their tier 3 perks, to get the tier 1s, you just have to prestige once. Once on the characters you want them on, you can bump them up to tier 3 pretty quickly, a lot more so than running through 100 more levels.
If you're P3ing every character just for their perks, you're being really inefficient about it.
No because it costs like 500K more to GET to P1 than it did to get to Level 40 before.
You still have to go through RNG to get the perks you want AND the Bloodwebs cost more AND you get WAY less per game.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/340995/can-we-talk-about-how-bad-the-grind-is
I think the biggest problem is that the grind is only reduced if you play multiple characters. If you only play a single character/killer, then the grind actually INCREASED for you, and since most survivors only play 1 or 2 characters because they are all just a skin, it is really shown in the survivor side of things.
Even with that, it's only really reduced if you want every perk on every Survivor and Killer.

That's an issue with game design, not the perks, to be perfectly honest.
Regardless, it affects what people are willing to run.
If things aren't going to prevent poor game design from ruining my experience, they probably aren't worth taking the risk to run.
