For Playstation players they are off, I guess they're still on for PC players?
They're on for everybody else.
I assume they aren't on because of, you know, Playstation players aren't able to play.
-
More evidence to move forward with my idea for a bot system, it'd make everyone happy.
Turn off DC penalties. Have a bot replace the player who DC'd. Survivors aren't completely screwed over, people aren't held in games that they don't want to be in and Killers aren't screwed out of BP. Everybody's happy. Except for toxic people who try to get people to DC.
-
@GenJockeyNance said:
The DC penalties are confirmed off? That would certainly explain the slew of DCs today as both killer and survivor.
No, they aren't off.
OP is just unhappy about the length of the penalties.
-
People asking other players to not be a dick.

the amount of my posts say nothing about how good or bad i am as a killer player. It could even be i never touched killer, only playing survivor and just act as if. You'd have no way to know.
The average DBD player doesn't boot up the Forums. They don't engage that way.
They load into a couple of matches every few days and it never goes further than that. It's a casual fun party game, it doesn't necessarily need to go any further.
I'm pretty mediocre at Survivor too. And you're right, I have no way of knowing, so I choose to trust people and assume they are acting in good faith until proven otherwise.

so that makes trapper a strong killer? The player that played him called trapper trash, this was the response. 57% killrate. So that player was just bad?
also who is the average dbd player? i see myself as a casual too. What are those numbers based off? just sacrifices?
Most likely, yes, he wasn't quite up to par. It's not unusual for someone to play a new Killer and be outmatched.
If you're on the Forums and have more than 50 posts, that's WAY more than the average player.
-
As I settle more and more into my grumpy veteran role, I've come to appreciate the bugs as the real content of the Chapter.
How will the game break horrifically this time? Which platform will be forbidden to play because of issues? What Killers will be broken?
It's all so exciting
-
He fun and stronk
also he shittalks Survivors and yeets them

pig is op? you litteraly just said pig is op did you XD
But yes, it IS more nuanced than that. So just going off numbers isnt the way to go, thats what im saying. Either go by simply numbers and sadako, pinhead and i forgot who the third is, are top 1 killers and freddy is second best or we dont and then we all agree there is more to it than just the numbers.
the example i provided was someone talking smug about how trapper has whopping 57%.
I gave an explanation of why Pig has historically had high kill rates despite being considered weak on the Forums.
It's because she's a noob stomper and is very good against the average DBD player. To them, she's OP. To us? Not so much.
And they are completely correct. Trapper does have a 57% Kill Rate. He averages a 2K.

so you dont think trapper is outdated and you agree sadako is stronger than nurse? I assume they just picked up trapper, but saying because he has 57% killrate he is a 'strong' killer aint true at all. I just try to figure out what people actually think. Either we go by killrates and so nurse is not the strongest killer or we dont and then we can take a look at the killers individually and measure how strong they are.
It's more nuanced than that.
Nurse is not a strong Killer...for most of the playerbase. I'd estimate there's about 200K players on DBD on any given day across all platforms. If 10% (high estimate) of those players are "high mmr", that's only 20,000 players.
The vast majority of this playerbase is casual. Every Killer is viable at a casual level, some are even considered OP. That's why they're called noobstompers and have had historically high kill rates. Pig comes to mind.

I haven't been counting pallets, but I have noticed that in every map with obstacles, there's now almost no straight lines anywhere without running into something.
See now that I have seen.
I got a Shack that had a box spawn on one side on Father Campbell's chapel that lead into a jungle gym with another box blocking it.
-
I wasn't aware of this affecting other maps.
I, personally, haven't noticed anything too far out of the ordinary. Granted, I'm usually taken to maps that are already unfavorable, so perhaps I just haven't noticed.

Ah yes, because then the perk that is supposed to incapacitate people working on the wrong gens now can't do that because the survivors working on the gen get told when they need to let go. Oh, and also where the Killer is, for free extra safe info.
Like, whatever the problems are with the perk, "Survivors with no other information source can't avoid its effect" is not it. That is, in fact, probably the baseline assumption of perks in general.
Incapacitated is too strong of an effect for how easy the perk is to proc and use effectively.
However, if we remove Incapacitated from the perk, it kills it. If we remove the 10% regression, it kills it.
The perk should be completely redesigned. Maybe you could give it some regression (and a scream) and have it have a Blood Favor effect around the affected generators. Still provides slowdown and it promotes the Killer leaving the hook to chase someone new but it gives essentially zero value if you just camp it out.

Same.
I am console and never camp or tunnel. What’s the point?!
I don’t actually care if everyone escapes, I just want to enjoy the game.
I would really love it if more people would play for fun over the (mostly) toxic masculinity you see in the game.
I just want to win.

Don't we all.

This is kinda funny.
-
It's the Banner.
When a Guard starts Hunting you, the Banner will slowly materialize. If you can manage to grab it, you get a Sprint Burst, Endurance and the Hunt instantly ends.

That one playstyle does kinda need ALOT of dedication and practice, also map awareness, shutting down loops fast etc.. nothing i would try with her, when playing sadako i like simply the no TR and teleport, simmilar to freddy.
but the argument was because trapper had a 57% killrate he is not that bad, so if we go by that logic sadako beats nurse i guess XD
And my argument is that the average DBD player isn't that good.
Trapper may not be super good at high ranks but he's going to be fine for 90% of players.
-
With both him and Wesker (Knight has it way worse) their powers can't be used too close to objects...for some reason.
With Knight's, I'd guess it's because they're worried about clipping issues with spawning Guards inside of objects.
-
The average DBD player isn't that good.
Also, Sadako has one extremely lethal playstyle that even comp-level teams struggle to counter.
-
Oh good, this will surely buff the very bad underused Eruption into meta status.

Then this thread might help :)
I am very close to just saying don't play him at all.
So far, the best thing I've been able to use his Guards for is to deny unhooks and force bad situations around the hook.
And other than getting some horrific messages and some nasty TTV's saying some appalling #########, he really hasn't done much well.
-
I can't give many tips yet.
He's extremely difficult and not very rewarding.
I'm still trying to learn him myself.
-
I was saying it was a problem prior to those changes going live.
Hook stages remaining the same whilst gens being longer was not going to end well.
People are going to camp regardless. It's too easy and you get far too much of a reward for doing so.
-
No, they are not.
-
OK
Weird flex. "I beat Survivors with Nurse" like yeah bro you were supposed to

Take how ######### the FOV is and then multiply the suffering by at least 2 to get to the experience of the console killer. Getting FOV teched and spun and people Dead Harding when you can't even see them or missing hits due to autoaim. You have to work twice as hard to perform even close to a PC killer while on console
Imagine our power if we swapped over.
Eh, on second thought, I don't wanna play comp.
-
Idk.
Nurse and Pinhead? Secondary objective plus Nurse.
Nemesis and Wesker. Twice the Infection, double the pain.
Legion and Nurse. Legion keeps people injured, Nurse gets easy downs.

@Veinslay said:
Ruin/Undying lasted like a month lol. Old MoM, Circle of Healing which is STILL OP as hell, Dead Hard lasted 5 years, old Decisive Strike where you could work on gens in the killer's face and have immortality lasted for years. GTFO lol
Old MoM lasted a couple weeks.
CoH is almost okay now.
Why do people have such trouble with the concept of BAD THINGS ARE BAD NO MATTER WHOSE SIDE THEY ARE BAD FOR
-
@WesCravenFan said:
Going for hooks over kills would require chases to end faster and to gut looping. Which would cause Survivor mains to throw an unholy fit. They demand "counterplay" for everything. If he can't loop you for three minutes, game must be broken. As long as Survivors have that mentality, Killer mentality is going to be to camp and tunnel to remove people from the game.
Respectfully my man, if you're getting looped for 3 minutes that MAY be a skill issue.
Unless it's BURGER KING

Probably an unpopular opinion, but i think Undying Ruin was a healthy combo for the game, since survivors didn´t have to cleanse Ruin at all and could just ignore it. Unlike Eruption.
Ruin Undying was fine.
OLD Undying and Ruin was not.
-
Eh, it's one of my most controversial opinions but I do think you should be able to DC without penalty.
I'd like to see a bot replacement system implemented first though
-
I will not look.
-
On God every Killer runs Eruption. Including me.
It's just a little too good right now.
-
Trust me, it could be worse.
You could've played against me. I'm a Console Killer AND I'm perfectly capable of destroying most teams.

Probably because he is new and most players will play him once get a 0k and give up
Not saying he’s good but killers like dredge and sadako have high kill rates so it’s more than just how strong the killer is
Sadako has one extremely lethal playstyle and Dredge isn't bad per se.
