Seriously wondering where all these awful TTV's are
Pretty much all of the ones Ive versed have been chill af. I usually try to play in a way thats either funny or entertaining tho because I wanna try to get a few good clips if possible. Like this one I got just a few nights ago!
https://clips.twitch.tv/PatientImpossibleTermiteCopyThis-IdWmOTlYE6lj_jtJ
I've met a lot of them, but to be fair, I'm also awful so it's deserved.
-
It has certainly lost the horror aesthetic that I originally fell in love with.
The gameplay is more fair. The new player experience is probably the best it's ever been. There's less bullshit mechanics in the game.
Feels more commercialized though. More corporate. Feels like everything is about monetization, maybe it always was and I was just blind to it.

Demogorgon is a bit unique in that he can adopt multiple playstyles. You can look up his OP builds here. He excels at basement builds thanks to his portal. He also handles the Devour build better than other Killers for the same reason. But I think STBFL is the must-have perk for him in most of his builds. He can preserve stacks really well with shred and gets a lot of value from it.
My brother in Christ this post is 3 years old.
It's so old that it's from when Demo was first released.
Now, he is gone.

Some people never really get over it. I didn't. I still feel nervous queueing up for Killer, even after all this time.
The best thing I'd recommend is to never ever take it serious. Always keep it light and funny. As soon as you make the outcome matter (other than just goofing around and having fun) you add stakes to every match.
For me, all I cared about was getting better and winning. Where has that gotten me? Now I'm good at DBD but I haven't had fun with it in a long time. I'd trade all my skill for the enjoyment I had in my first year in a heartbeat.

I just think it's funny that they nerfed Legion.

Can't say that I do. With these chases, it's not as if you being higher skilled or having more game knowledge changes anything. There are loops where if the survivor runs it right and doesn't give you an opportunity to make a read on them, you don't get the hit. This isn't about killers being put in skill brackets too high for them, because as I've explained many times survivors that are your same level should always beat you. You have to play so much better than them for it to be an even playing field.
Not sure how anyone ever gets tunneled out at 4 or 5 gens, since the first chase should cost the killer 2 or 3. At that point, it's 100% the survivors' fault, not the killer doing anything special. You're telling me that a team who absolutely crumbles the moment someone is out of the game or is currently being tunneled out of the game, that they're the killer's equals and that he shouldn't be getting those kills? It's nonsense. And yet they sometimes will beat him, not because they're good but because the killer physically didn't have enough time to kill them, since he didn't camp or tunnel.
But that's just at the lower end of high level. Unlike @Pulsar claims, there is a caliber of survivor that you will cease to beat if you go for 12 hooks. It's not about punching above you weight. The math simply doesn't add up. 5 gens can be done by those survivors in a little over 3 minutes. What can you possibly do against them that will change that result? It would take you playing Nurse or Blight, making zero mistakes (which means making the correct read 100% of the time, which is near impossible), running full meta, and also hope that the survivors are inefficient or make mistakes. Under those circumstances, maybe you can get the draw or the 3k IF they screw up near the end. What I'm mostly concerned about is what every other killer can do, because not every killer is Nurse or Blight. What can Wraith or Freddy or Clown do against those teams? There's nothing. And I don't care how uncommon strong teams supposedly are, because as the survivor playerbase gets better, they will become those teams. The killers, on the other hand, are kind of stuck in this limbo where they can't really get better but they're still forced to play for the draw.
I love being drawn into discussions I had nothing to do with!
Those Survivors certainly exist. Anyone who claims to get them every game is immediately extremely suspicious to me. MMR is anything but consistent.

So having to hit the survivor an extra time isn't impactful?
Ironically enough, OTR works best against Killers who are nice and don't tunnel.
If you hit someone straight off of hook like I do, you never have to deal with OTR. If you wait, you do.

The entire time the killer is in chase with 1 person, the other 3 people are only limited by their circumstances. If all 3 are up, that 1 person can throw every pallet at every loop and still have a chance of lasting more than 180 seconds. Remember that needing to break a pallet or landing a hit both reset bloodlust, so proper cadences of god pallets can prevent the killer from maintaining (or even achieving) T3 bloodlust the entire chase. Being able to rationalize if a chase is going to be a time sink early is extremely important to prioritization, which is why its always best to focus on weaker loopers (and recognize them as such as early as possible, of course)
not only that, but the point of actions isn't always to escape, sometimes its just to undo or minimize the killer's pressure. If someone on a fresh hook goes down to prevent someone on death hook from being removed from the game, its generally considered a net positive for the survivors, even if they get hooked instead. The whole comp corner meme is specifically because it makes it take longer for the killer to walk to the hook (not to have a better chance of wiggling free, but to give teammates more time to do anything from gens to saboing.)
Basically the important part is to last long enough to do more damage to the killer's momentum than he does to the survivors by eventually catching you. Its the best defense against LCD strats, since they rely on efficiency to make them work time-wise.
And this is completely irrelevant in Solo Q.
I could drop every pallet in the map and have a 5 minute chase. 2 gens will pop. Is that my fault? Yes. I queue'd up without a 4-man.

Actually it's 2022 and killers are getting outplayed harder than ever as long as the survivor team has coordination of some kind.
As my friend said above, a bad killer doesn't 4k most of the time even with his tunneling and camping methods but when he does, put the blame on the stupid mistakes of the survivor team for the free kills.
So you are telling me, in good faith, that it's the Survivors fault for getting facecamped by Bubba
-
@[Deleted User] said:

Logically thinking a killer needs to down the survivor that is across the map knowing the spawn points on the map.
A face camping Bubba is also needs to find the prey, down the prey and hook the prey aka you.
You cannot face camp something you don't have, so to down someone you must get found and outplayed. That is only on you mate.
Complaining that you cannot do anything about a face camping Bubba is only your fault for getting caught first of all and saying again "You will go down at some point" is a false statement as there are factors such as: stealth play, playing selfish, not getting in any chase or getting the hatch.
The frustration that comes from face camping is legitimate but stating that it requires no skill is just spitting bullshit. You need to down before you camp
This isn't 2017. If you get looped for 5 gens, that's on you.
You cannot run forever unless there is a HUGE mismatch of skill.
That's just bullshit.

but he needs the skill to catch you.
You only need a few elements, be it Spine Chill as a detection perk, be it awareness and trying to hide more than looping a killer or playing risky.
The moment you got down, he did outplay you with skill... what comes after is called his reward that is you on the hook. He wouldn't get you without being near you... to down. Even if you go with a take of "A killer will down me at some point, that's the way" and my reply: No, that's not quite right. A killer can end up easily with not a single hook if survivors play well... even if soloq or you play selfish have the power to not even be seen.
It's the way you play, giving the killer a hook or not.
This is not a serious answer.
Surely.

I hope 0,5 second cast time is bug and get fixed in hotfix 2. Half of my patrols are missing now due to the change. the assassin and carnifex cannot get into chase anymore. It also sucks that map of realm got nerfed. its his best add-on and yet they had to nerf it. I am just playing blight and wesker for now until they fix it.
I figure if I can learn him now than imagine how good I could be when they buff him.
They're gonna buff him....right? Surely.

I spent around 10 hours on him, I gave up after I realized that every game I just hold W across the map. It's unfun to me and disappointing because the killer mori/skin was nice. :(
I am not willing to learn a power that promotes a playstyle I just hate
I think I've put about a day or so into him.
I think he's bad but generally usable. He relies on addons to get value out of his power though. Extra chase time and map of the realm are must runs after his nerf in the hot fix patch.

depends on what account your asking about.
In total I think I've got close to 6K hours on Killer and MAYBE 1K on Survivor.
-
I haven't seen a Knight in a couple days.
Although, on NightLight he has the highest pick rate and the 2nd lowest Kill Rate. Take that with a massive grain of salt.
I've been doing well with him, personally. Whether that's because I've put far too much time into Killer or because Knight isn't actually that bad is difficult to say.

As such I am all in for a nerf to the slug+condemn strat when they buff her regular condemn as well as her TVs a bit. I mean, come on: If I turn off a TV it is 60 seconds, but if Onryo teleports it is 100? That just seems wrong...
Sometimes it feels like killer base-kit is balanced by the most bias survivor main the world. The add-on on the other hand feel like they're designed by a killer player.
whoever designs the add-on in killer saves the killer so much suffering. the add-on are complete blessing.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3284157#Comment_3284157
sounds like non-sense list of pointless stuff, most of it is also untrue.
You get a lot of emblem points in everything and blood-point in everything as Sadako. your split injure pressure everywhere because of hit & run play-style like legion feral frenzy which is large build-up to chaser emblem and malicious emblem though i believe malicious emblem or devout emblem(killing emblem) has 9 hook condition somewhere for iri which is punishing killer(from old bad design), you also get punished for survivors healing which is more bad design. your getting bloodpoints for killing survivors with mori, You can max almost all bloodpoint categories and get 3/4 iri with 1 gold. there is nothing ordinary for the killer besides the badly designed emblems.
Its the same for the survivor, they can get bloodpoints everywhere. the hardest one is healing because well.. it kills you but you still get bloodpoint for healing survivors that slugged. Its little ironic but autodidact is actually pretty funny vs that build. Sadako's is m1 killer at the chase, so chaser is arguably easiest thing to max. Gens points are gen points. Survival escaping is escaping. Emblem wise its also easier for survivor. One of emblems for altruism is that you lose points every time a teammate get hooked but nobody get hooked so no point lost. Obviously gens/chaser are easy iri vs her if you win.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3284122#Comment_3284122
Don't worry, they will put unlimited base-kit unbreakable for more survivor hand-holding. Nothing for killer will change though.
Uh.....okay?
-
It's horrific
Even when they fix the pallet issues, I may just go sit in the basement. It genuinely hurts my eyes, feels like Nightfall. The strain of trying to see clearly is just not worth it.
So that sucks.

Haven't had that happen.
I have had Shattered Square 3 times in a row. Can't DC this time so I've been sitting and waiting for the Survivors to leave, it's been about 45 minutes.
This definitely isn't the buggiest release I've been a part of. Trickster and Twins were both worse. Legion was bad after people discovered Infinite Mend.

This is one of my favorite DBD phenomena. The more lazy, boring or low skill the killer tactic is, the worse it makes you look for dying to it. And yet in post game, you see the killer getting lambasted for being "trash".
It's like losing to in Street Fighter to kid spamming one button but then ripping on them for being bad.
Or my absolute fave, survs saying GGEZ after getting 4K'd. Priceless. Just quietly leave, you're just making yourself look ridiculous.
To be fair, if I die to a facecamping Bubba, that's not on me or my team. I am physically unable to stop him from facecamping me, no matter my skill. Likewise, he doesn't exactly need a lot of skill to sit in front of the hook and look pretty.
-
It wasn't always the strongest Exhaustion perk, I see no reason to assume it will always be the strongest.
It's pretty fair now, imo. Maybe it could still use a little work, but it actually takes skill to use now and it can be reasonably countered.
-
Never do gens.
If you don't touch a gen, the Killer can't kick it and apply Eruption. Likewise, you can't be hit by Eruption if you never touch a gen.
Therefore, play for hatch.
-
It would appear that way.
It seems to take a half second longer, by my estimation.

Are you sure you really believe that second statement, because you're not exactly empathizing with killers who feel they need to tunnel, are you? It's always "easy" and "something casuals do," as well as hyperfocusing on how the survivors feels.
It's easy at lower ranks, it works at higher ranks and it stays meta all the way up and into competitive levels of play.
I'd rather encourage people to go for fresh Hooks and make that the optimal play over decimating one Survivor who can't really do anything about it.

I don't take pretty much anything they say seriously, I got better than them a long time ago.
Camping and tunneling is easy. Sitting on gens is easy. People will always go for the easiest path to victory.
There is literally nothing easier than kicking a gen and getting value. Not everything is against Killers. This isn't some sort of tactical scheme from Survivors. Take off the glasses and join the realists.

I still have yet to find eruption not a waste of a perk slot. The killer just doesn't have time to stop chase, and kick gens constantly - not when you have to down survivors in under 20 seconds. Call of Brine is only useful in combination with other regression perks, and honestly I don't find that reliable or should be necessary that Killers should have to stack regression perks to balance the game. Overcharge is an easy skill check, I rarely see Survivors at my mmr bothered by overcharge or oppression.
Yes Pop requires you to hook a survivor, but that's your objective your going to complete anyways, and it lasts long enough to get consistent use from. Compared to eruption, you are sacrificing all your time kicking gens that the survivors are just going to let go just before you down them anyways.
Okay.
