Most games will apply a filter over the entire game. This is more or less like moving the hue slider in Photoshop. Everything is discolored, but if you're colorblind, they may at least be able to see what's going on.
You can already somewhat do this in Dead by Daylight by using Freestyle, but that highlights why this isn't a solution. Things like blood and scratch marks blend into the ground, and shifting the hue can only do so much. Similar things are always going to look similar.
Changing the colours outright also isn't a great solution. Maybe blood blue instead of red would make it far easier to see, since red can often blend into the ground while blue stands out no matter where you are. There's no blue tinted dirt.
We are still looking into ways we can improve accessibility options, but it's not quite as simple as it seems. Cosmetics are unrelated. Artists cannot make shaders or program new options.
I know changing the color of blood can ruin the games balance if non-colorblind people use the colorblind filter but a good first step would be to give scratch marks a different color than red.

Bamboozle is much more useful. You can get early pallet drops and shutdown really good windows like iron works or coal tower.
-
It's kinda sad that new survivor experience gets ruined because they play against high rank killers and vice versa for new killers.
-
They're just upset you took away their perk. I wouldn't take it personally.

Did you poll the entire community? I'd love to see that data
No but there weren't constant threads about it so if there we're people they weren't voicing their opinion.

no it was pretty justified. following someone until they trip isn't interactive or fun
No one had a problem with it back then. Now that it's become a norm it's a problem.
-
When dedicated servers come out and they can track dcs better hopefully then this problem will be fixed.
-
Fixated isn't competing with meta perks. It's not even competing with decent perks. It wouldn't harm anyone if it worked while injured.

People get so salty about BT timer going down against certain killers. People, you remember the BT before Legion patch which would go down no matter what killer do you were playing against ?
This.
You always used to go down unless you had self care or someone healed you. The only reason BT got buffed was Legion. It wasn't even a justified buff.

The entity is the realm (afaik).

Why I love dbd is because it's a one of a kind game. I think dbd out of all asymmetrical games I know of, has the best balance, roster and devs.
If any dev/mod/cm wanders here I just wanna say thanks for keeping this game alive for at least another 4+ years.

Isn't it 40/50/60 already?

A: I am going to be the killjoy here... no for the moment.
The reason why we are not doing Bunny Feng is because of the way the cosmetics are technically set up. Having a full hoodie would require to lock up a head and a torso cosmetic together and we cannot do this for the moment. But, I am not totally a killjoy... we are still looking into ways to make it happen. Just... dont hold your breath.
Q: So why not a compromise? I've seen concepts and designs from fans who have been able to make it work. I'm curious as to why it absolutely has to be a full hoodie.
A: That's something our art team considered but we decided we wanted to stay true to the original design and figure out a technical solution to the problem, even if it takes longer. Once we add the feature to answer our technical problem, it will also allow us to do more of this type of cosmetics instead of going for a workaround for a one time thing."
This is from the reddit AMA from the year 3 anniversary.

The lack of info probably means something is off.
-
My thoughts exactly, @Mat_Sella
-
Yes, this is generally how online games work.
-
The perk is very underwhelming as it is now so I would not be opposed to this buff. Perhaps it could work in tiers (Hit a survivor once, they get blindness and on the second hit they get oblivious as well)?
-
If they are not even trying to complete an objective then it (iirc) is considered holding the game hostage.

Like I said, if you run it yourself there's no way other people know you have the perk, unless you're in SWF. it's better to give the perk proactively to the rescuer.
It's like having Borrowed Time as your perk to activate when you are unhooked, rather than the rescuer.
Which on second thought actually doesn't sound half bad.
Borrowed time would be much worse like that. No one would go for ballsy saves like they do now in fear of farming.
-
This all just comes down to latency. When you play, other players can not see your character the same as you do. They see what you did a few moments before, based on your ping.
iirc, if your ping is 100ms then it will take a 0.1 seconds for the server (aka the killer) to receive your input so in actuality your character is always lagging 0.1 seconds behind you. This is the main cause why hits sometimes look like they shouldn't connect from the survivor side.
-
Perks are used to cover your weaknesses and help with your gameplay. If you know you sometimes make mistakes you can take dead hard to help mitigate those mistakes. It's nothing new.

I'll let you speculate away, but just to clarify, we've never said that there won't be a new survivor with the next chapter.
You've also never said that there will be.

Uh, no. Being in the dying state means you ARE helpless. You literally can't do anything but slowly crawl without help without perks, and even then it's fairly limited.
Well getting your torso pierced by a meathook seems to barely leave a scratch on survivors so they probably aren't completely helpless while lying on the floor. Besides they do have some fight left in them, even during The Shape's mori the survivor is hitting back at the killer albeit in vein as they are already dead at that point.

If they jump in a locker right in front of you, then you could NOT OPEN THE LOCKER.
Just because you get baited doesn’t make it an exploit. There is a counter. It’s not opening the locker.
That isn't a counter. It's just running away from the problem. It's like saying the counter to ruin is to not do generators.
-
Wraith's power can only be used for bodyblocking and even for that you need add-ons to even have a chance of getting to a window faster than a survivor.
Wraith needs something more in his basekit but I don't think attacks out of cloak would be that something.
-
Rather than make it a cooldown, I'd want the exhaustion cooldown halved on Head On. Otherwise some nasty combos like Head On, Sprint Burst and Dance with Me can enable a survivor to just escape a situation completely without leaving a trace.
With QnQ, Lithe and Dance with Me, the killer at least has the possibility to see where the survivor is running but with the stun from Head On you can only rely on your sound and depending on which killer you're playing, you might not even hear the survivor over the yelling/screaming of the killer.

The entity is not the one planting their foot on their backs and shoving a chainsaw through their body. The killer is.
Imagine how stupid it would look if Michael Myers for example, can't just pick up and strangle a weak, dying survivor, but has to take multiple attempts to even do it. Yeah, that totally screams being a "bad ass, evil killer", when you can't even kill off a dying survivor.
Of course the killer won't have trouble, unless the survivor is fighting back. It's not like they're paralyzed or can't act while the killer is attempting to kill them.

Would love to live in the Entity's realm.
"You're about to die? Oh, here's another chance at survival."
Set up for success. ;)
The entity does not want to kill the survivors, he feeds off their hope so escaping from the jaws of death (aka from a mori) would probably give hope to the survivor that they might yet escape.
-
Survivors who complain are always the same type of survivors who go to the hook the second you turn your back and then you come back to the hook because you have no clue where other survivors are (because you had no time to look for them) and then they call you a tunneler and complain that you keep coming back to the hook.
-
His mori add-ons might be a target. At least the very rare one.
-
I'd rather not. One good thing about infectious fright is that it reveals locker survivors.

Yes, they are the equivalents of each other.
I’m not arguing for or against either, just saying that if genrush exists, as many killers say, then killrush certainly does as well.
No, neither exist. It's just how fast matches go if everyone is doing what they're supposed to do.

“Kill rush” is generally in reference to tunneling.
So the killer doing his objective? Just like genrush is just survivors doing their objective?

Didnt realize I wasnt allowed to make a human mistake
I'm positive you won't do that mistake again next time. Waiting for official information is always a better alternative to creating rant threads on baseless rumours.

Just like how only bnps can be considered gen rush
Would've been before they were nerfed. If you can't avoid the killer in a chase maybe a more stealthy play style would suit you?
-
I stopped reading after "rumours".
-
Bruh, the only thing that can even be considered a "kill rush" is a mori.

1. You can see when she's phasing, the sharp glass in her body glows. You can see moving grass around you too. You can hear her footsteps. What more do dou want dude?
2.There are multiple mindgames to mess her up as survivor. When she's phasing drop a pallet and then Q&Q into a locker for example. Or walk back the way you ran before.
3. There are actually two perks that work wonders against spirit: "Iron Will" and "Spine Chill".
Don't cry about her being unfair, learn to adapt.
The glass isn't supposed to glow, it's a bug and she does not move grass while phasing.

I think the bloodpoint cap is fine how it is. A nice round number.

@Judgement said:
I should have added to the original post, but could anybody please test this and post the video here, to see whether Unrelenting and Save affect the special lunge?
It shouldn't because those perks only affect the basic attack of killers. Shred is not a basic attack just like Huntress' hatchets are not.
-
It also doesn't affect the shred attack recovery so you won't get use out of it if you decide to lunge at non-obsession survivors.
-
@Jimsalabim @Snapshot Most likely because you mash m1, idk. I just know that's how it happens.

What exactly do you mean?
After you begin the shred you can't press m1 or it will disable the damage hitbox.
-
Yeah, if you press m1 again after attacking you won't do damage with shred.
-
If bbq didn't give 2x bp I'd use thrilling tremors over it 90% of the time.
-
Seems fair, why not.
-
Maybe survivors leave/give up because, oh idk, moris are not balanced?
I don't blame them.
-
I wouldn't mind if moris took 30 seconds each to complete. At least with an offering.
After all... You are taking a survivor out of the game very early.
-
Honestly, just give a 12h suspension to anyone who dcs.
These 12h suspensions wouldn't affect regular bans that come from breaking other rules of the game.
