Camaraderie should affect the person trying to Unhook

Just saying.

Camaraderie is a perk that could have been good and very useful against the camping meta, but the problem is it puts all of its power either to chance, or in the hands of SWF players. It's a design flaw that should be corrected.

You're on the hook, but since you're playing solo nobody knows you have camaraderie, so nobody is going to stay close to delay your struggle timer. Wasted perk.

But if the perk affects you, the rescuer, in the bushes you can actively make the choice to stay near the hook a killer is camping to punish the killer and help your hooked teammate. The perk will not be wasted.

The design intent is good but it's flawed in execution. Devs should stop widening the gap between SWF and Solos and put more agency in solo players. Changing the activation of this perk from hooked to rescuer is the correct design, and should be done before Tuesday.

  • Or you could run it yourself if you are worried about being camped.

  • Like I said, if you run it yourself there's no way other people know you have the perk, unless you're in SWF. it's better to give the perk proactively to the rescuer.

It's like having Borrowed Time as your perk to activate when you are unhooked, rather than the rescuer.

Which on second thought actually doesn't sound half bad.

  • They could make the timer last forever with this change and I'll still wouldn't even touch it. It's a terrible, niche perk.

  • you can use a chat before the game starts you know, whole 60s

i usually tell my teammates there if i have deliverance for example.

Borrowed time would be much worse like that. No one would go for ballsy saves like they do now in fear of farming.
