like i get that they are one of like 3 good add-ons in the game because they actually are useful
but to claim no skill is a weak argument you still need to use the same talent throwing regular hatchets as you do modified ones they just have extra effects of dealing more damage.

To argue for nerfs agaisnt yourself is... just wow. I dont even wanna touch that self depression
Irr hatchets should not only stay but every killer should have addons like it that are as powerful.
An instant down point blank like your argument stats with is the basekit of like 4 other killers... you gonna nerf the basekits of them? No? Then it's not really that strong is it.
Its instant down hatchets with already stupid hitboxes. That fact you could get to most to any loop and you can just get instant down is the definition of no skill and broken. Even to hit from afar is fine. Close up, YOU CANNOT MISS unless you are just bad. Seriously. Any good Huntress player with 3 Iri heads will dominate. It does need a rework, no question. Hell, if they just made it that you have to hit from 24+, let her keep 3. Just make it that she cant hit you for free every time you get to a window or pallet when she's on your ass.

I’m proud of you guys. 👍🏻
LETS CELEBERATE!!
It's about time. Unless facing a 4 man really strong SWF or he's just bad. Billy obliterated. Unlimited instantdowns with easy map traverse is ridiculous. At least Oni has to work to get that but he has free tracking. Billy needed some punish to the action cause the bump stun was nothing at most points.

Survivor: No, you can't use a second chance perk like Noed. It is unfair and you can't use a perk that punishes me after I complete my objective.
Also Survivors: Borrowed-Time, Unbreakable, Decisive Strike and Dead Heart and fair and balanced perks that stops Tunneling and Camping Killers. They allow me to punish the killer after they completed their objective of hunting me.
Sounds like a you problem tbh.

Is it Huntress or Hag?
I'm betting my money on Hag, as she destroys potato solo survivors.
We were right about Billy after Nurse guys, let's see if we can get the next nerf, I mean "add-on pass".
Haha, like I understand some people are upset over changes. But like seriously, at least wait and see what the change brings before complaining about who will get needed next. For all you know the change might actually boost performance. But hey, pre judge all you like.

It's just the fact my bro only just started and although he enjoyed playing as the Spirit, he was upset cause he thought he did bad cause survivors were grieving him. Its upsetting cause he just wants a game he can play with the family on seeing as how we all play it

Truetalent is (in my opinion) the best player in dbd along with otzdarva. True streams dbd for 8 hours a day,and plays every killer to a very high level (besides the hag). Some months ago he did 2 experiments. 1: He did a full day of playing ghostface and claimed he was the third best killer in the game after spirit and nurse. 2: He did a full day of wraith and claimed he was the fourth best killer. When true did these experiments, a lot of people did a complete 180 on these killers and their mind was changed by him. True says that he is going to do a full day of leatherface soon because he thinks he is underrated. True's playstyle with leatherface is to brute force every pallet with pwyf and nemesis and not go for any basic attacks. Whenever he reaches a pallet, he doesn't respect it and revs up the chainsaw and the survivor goes down, because they wouldn't expect it. However if the survivor drops the pallet on him, he gets a pwyf stack, which will benefit him a lot. I am very curious for what he is going to say, when he does a full day of leatherface. You can find a video of his playstyle here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eM_LfcW3YL8
Every killer has strengths and better than people make them out to be. And if they need a streamer to tell them otherwise, something is drastically wrong. I personally dont care for Tru out of all cause he is an ignorant killer main that pretty much whines about everything against him while being hypocritical in his approach as he will exploit every perk to the full I.e dodge DS, dodge BT.
Seriously, watched him play Bubba at an Autohaven garage where the whole the game was that garage. Not cause he locked them down, because the survivors were stupid to keep coming back. And proceeds to call them sweaty toxic survivor mains. They got 2 gens and all died.

I'm disappointed to see that on the 3rd day of the event the cakes have not been fixed. Could the devs possibly give us some sort of eta to when they expect them to be fixed by, and if they're thinking of extending the event by a couple days?
And it wont be fixed till next Tuesday.
Like, how... how do they not know how to fix it? xD as my brother in programming said, "Its like they dont even know what their job is in there as this was an easy thing to avoid and/or fix". Aware of it from the beginning yet still launched anyhow ("cause why tf not" in their head).

Go apply for a job at BHVR if the code is so easy and you can so clearly fix it. If you can easily sort out their problems I'm sure they'd love to hire you.
Never said I can do code, but thanks for assuming. No, my older brother who has a career in coding for a company said that this is basically baby code to fix compared to others he has to work with and he's been doing that for 5 years now. But hey if youd like a job at having a go and being a smart#ss at someone for no apparent reason, go right ahead ^^ WE... SUPPORT YOU.
-
They will probably fix it when the event is over knowing them xD they had a 500mb update the day the event came out but apparently didnt include it in fix. It's easy code that they cant even get right for their 4th year (pretty good start so far). And all I can think about is how much worse is it going to be from here. 🤣
Theres no point playing killer to get cakes cause 9 out of my 10 games has some or all sound issues. And playing survivor is either NOED, mori, tunnel and camp or some killer saying "Let's farm" then immediately facecamps you on first hook. So yeah. For me right now, I have no incentive of being able to enjoy myself in this game right now so I'm not too bothered. Even their game loading screen is cringy asf with the devs trolling their own game.
-
@Orion said:
Yeah, when I play killer I'm gonna get my crown, then farm with everyone else and let them go. I see no reason why I'd actively deny people the crown, especially given how much of a pain in the ass it's going to be to get them on all survivors, compared to how easy it will be to get them on all killers.
It's fine if killers just want to play the game and dont farm. I just hate it when they text farm, then just kill you when they've gotten free hooks from you. I have to laugh though. Even on their YouTube video, comments are disabled XD so people cant say their event doesnt even work properly 🤣

I really wanna discuss this, as I think there is no such thing as genrushing. But i wanna hear other opinions as well.
As survivor the only objective is to do gens. So what am I supposed to do if I am not getting chased? Totems? Yes or I risk getting hit by NOED, but I cannot complain afterwards then. Chests? Maybe running around healing others?
What is your take on genrushing?
The answer is no. Genrushing doesnt exist. It was a term made up by killers to explain why the objective was going too quickly and so they can use it as a term in an argument. Bottom line anyways. Genrushing doesnt exist, never did. But people still find ways of using it still.

I don't pay attention to fallout in nearly any capacity, but I have heard something about it being really bad or something. Borderline the game wasn't functional or operational, which is very clearly not an apt description for Dead By Daylight. A few bugs don't equal a game that doesn't operate. Just because sound is a critical aspect of killer gameplay doesn't mean that the game itself is not in a functioning playable state, because it objectively is. Your own experience is entirely subjective
As for those "others who have suffered through 4 years of the same problems", I'M one of those others. I've been playing this game since 2016, my first achievement is dated in early July of that year, the game came out in June. So you can talk down to somebody else who's actually inexperienced with what Dead By Daylight has gone through.
I was just pointing out it wasn't a long text. Your response to my comment is already longer than OPs thread to begin with, that's proof enough. I'm not "having a go" at anything, it was a passing comment, something I would've thought most people would brush past.
I like the game, through thick and thin I enjoy the horror fantasy of Dead By Daylight - it's characters both licensed and original creations, the cosmetics which tell their own stories, the lore, asymmetrical gameplay, etc. and I'll continue to play it for as long as I enjoy it. You have a problem with that? Or is that not "sensible" to you?
It's been 4 years and my excitement for every new update and chapter release has never ceased or waned, and much like my fellow veterans I've seen the highs and lows. But I've also seen a general upward trajectory in quality, content, and balance in the game that gives me enough of a reason to stick around and have faith that whatever goes wrong will eventually be fixed, and what goes right will become increasingly more frequent.
And yes, my point still stands, refunds aren't deserved for most of us. Steam's own refund policy is very clear and concise, if you have owned a game for less than two weeks and played it for less than two hours, your full refund is automatically approved no questions asked. That's understandable and reasonable and to be honest a lot more forgiving than many other refund policies, asking for one 4 years later, is not.
Sensing alot of hostility from someone who I was just pointing out something wrong. But hey you defend this terrible game if you wish. May have not played for 4 years but I played for 3. And being a veteran player means nothing. So I'd appreciate you stop waving the title about like it does. I've seen most of the issues with this throughout the years too and although some balance was implemented, it was really balance that should have been there since start. Others were sceptical.

First off, that's what you consider a "long text"? That's almost nothing.
Second off, the idea of a petition for a "mass refund" is absolutely laughable and would never realistically happen especially for those of us who are veterans, play on a consistent, or even semi-consistent basis, which is many. Most of us have far too many hours clocked and our initial purchase was probably made far too long ago to make a refund anywhere near reasonable.
Not to mention, DBD is a product bought and paid for through different live services, like Steam, the windows store, the playstation store, the nintendo eShop, or hell even buying a physical copy from an actual retail location for a console like PS4 or Xbox. So I don't think that's how that works, and I don't think these companies are just gonna give you money for free.
Especially for the latter. Imagine walking up to the customer service desk of your local target or whatever, slapping down your 2 year old copy of Dead By Daylight saying: "I hate how this game is balanced, and a lot of new bugs came out in the latest update. I want a refund!!"
As bad as issues with DBD can be, the community has ridden out these waves as they come and go and this is nothing new. It's specifically worse point in DBD history considering how well they had been doing especially recently, but in the grand scheme of things, things both have been and could be a lot worse. So I'm not going anywhere, anytime soon.
Meanwhile, Fallout 76 XD
Look, all I was saying is that a game (No matter how long out) should be refundable worthy if it gets to such a drastic state that its unplayable by any means. Not being able to hear survivors at all is a basic function and objective of a game that is restricting you. Sure you can see them but only for so long. Consider games with quick and quiet, dance with me, lithe.
Add these to already mute survivors, Blendettes. It makes for an impossible game scenario for most ranks, it would be especially miserable for really low and really high ranked as their either sweaty survivors that know how to play the game or it's a noob killer not finding anyone throughout the whole game.
I understand it may seem funny to you and you want to believe in whats left of this sorry excuse of a game. But for others that have suffered through 4 years of the same problems either coming back up after being said fixed or just never fixed. We are tired of it. Sure refunds may not ever happen. But honestly, it's not like they arent deserved.
And why tf are you having a go a "Long text?" XD seems silly. Even if I thought it wasnt long, I would have brushed passed it.
Bottom line, unless you're sadly devoted to this game regardless of how bad it gets, most sensible people just leave this for a month and see if it's gotten better. Sure there are sensible ones still devoted to this game, but what will it take to see? Game pulls your character back due to poor latency in the game. And they want to cross platform? Spinning in circles mess with hitbox due to automatic aim assist. Grabs are broken, can stick you in place. I can be blinded forever or have a half blind screen for the remainder.
Like, how much before enough is enough?

You're one of the lucky ones I guess. I've encountered the sound bug ONCE so far, and that was it.
It must be worse for those who run into it daily and more frequently
Between that and your character not being correctly on hook AND every time I got to pick someone off hook, me character starts shaking back and forth frantically. This game is a joke at this stage. It's bad enough camp and tunnels with NOED and ebony moris are a possible game but to have all this too. Like why bother xD

You're not wrong but at the same time basekit no perks should be viable to play. If 4 survivors can go perkless/itemless and stomp killers the reverse should only be true too as long as the killer is sufficiently skilled.
But they took that away with Nurse.
Only some killers get that right. Billy, Spirit. Oni maybe but nobody else really.

its doesnt take much to tell if a map is poorly designed
heres a tip, if you can "outplay" the killer by holding W and just run laps around the map, theres a serious issue
Not to mention exit gate placements are garbage that if you lost hatch, you're definitely losing gate as a survivor. And is it me but I got a loud, like really bloody loud church bell every time a gen got done. So much so I lost progress on heal stopping and gen guarding sometimes due to the bell ringing for like 15-20 seconds. I couldnt hear anything. So yeah, amazing design, love it. But poor implementation of special effects and just ill considered map balance design.

She doesn't even recognized as a different character AT ALL? In a killer lobby she's named as Cheryl and she doesn't have her own voice. That's for 1480 auric cells!!!! It makes sense why Alessa shares the same model and voice as Cheryl, maybe even the fact that she's recognized as Cheryl. But with the price you ask for Lisa it's unacceptable to treat her like that. You could ask more money for the Silent Hill chapter because the map looks complicated and beautiful. But it's pure audacity for you to even suggest an incomplete character with this amount of money.
Yeah, the whole €50 SH edition is a joke. They were banking on die hard fans to waste money for the sake of having classic skins. Keep in mind €8 for SH, €42 for cosmetics (4 of them are copy and paste different colour and are offered individually XD), if you have Clown and Spirit already.

That ship sailed long ago with the Nurse, whose lore explicitly mentions a husband. The only difference now is that the devs won't restrict themselves by only mentioning straight relationships. Nothing will change about the gameplay, nothing will be shoved in your face (which is what a cosmetic would do, just FYI), you will notice no difference whatsoever because there will be no difference whatsoever. It's just lore. It only matters if you read it.
No I get that. What I mean is for those that have nothing specific mentioned yet can be meddled with. Yes it wont effect gameplay, but itll effect the integrity and respect for this game.

That’s not true. They always were defined characters and not blank husks. They have defined backstories and families and relations. BHVR stated they don’t want to confirm their sexuality but they contradicted themselves and reveals some relationships - only heterosexuals. They have already stated that at least one char is in fact LGBT, but they never said who and didn’t want to reveal it - now they could do that with the tomes.
that said, if you play Nea and she is stated to be lesbian, that shouldn’t affect your gameplay at all. Nothing stops you from having your head canon.
If they made an LGBT character, why not state who? It's a game. I'd like to know when this was said as if it was said when the character was created rather than when this discussion came up would be interesting.
-
@Actionjacksn said:
What do you think guys, why LGBT is so important for the devs, because of the equality what it represents or because of the profit? If it would not be a trend right now, the devs would make stand for it?
As much as this is something to celebrate and support in real life. If treated incorrectly this could kill the game. All I've been hearing of lately is "Who is the most LGBT character?", "Should we get LGBT cosmetics?", "Should we be able to switch genders of certain characters?"
Just think for a moment, say they do make a LGBT character. Next argument will be, 'Not enough representation of it in game'. That will only encourage them to start making the next few survivors LGBT. So no. Dont introduce LGBT characters as YOU are the survivor. I play Nea and I'm straight, so Nea is straight. If you play Nea and you're gay. Then Nea is gay. The character can be what you want them to be as it's you playing them. And just cause they dont have a 'LGBT backstory' doesnt make them any less. Make a few cosmetics in game FOR FREE like a shirt, a hoodie so people (if they want to) can show their support. That is all that should be done with this.

I really dont like fire it up because you get "rewarded" for losing.
You say it would save 2 seconds, thats 24 seconds total and IMO thats a huge deal at times of 5 minute games. I also recommended that it wouldnt stack (like shadowborn and M&A)
There are counters in the game. Calm spirit counters doctors abillity for example.
This perk would "counter" pallet stuns and flashlight saves. And IMO it wouldnt even do this that hard, flashlight saves and pallet saves fail because of timing more often then because of time to get there.
You say it would save a second, then it only takes away a second for survivors running for a save.
As you've said, pallet saves and flashlight saves are hard enough already with timing. So you want to make it harder if not impossible to save. It's not countering anything except the only means to save. If you dont like Fire Up, that's your problem. If the game goes in 5 minutes. Then you arent using a good synergistic perk combo, you're not applying enough pressure or yes, they're doing the objective too fast. The maps were made to hand loops to killers, you want to make saves bad too. Fire Up is a "High Risk, High Reward" perk. The issue is, smart killers are aware survivors are around so they make sure they can get clean pick ups.
Look, the idea is fine and all. It just wont work and in this current game it wont ever work without more problems. Cause all thatll happen is people will want it needed, make flashlights blind from further or quicker. Then what?
Consider the outcome, pros and cons of this idea. Killers have plenty of anti gen perks already to make games longer. And most of them very strong.
-

you didnt get the point, its not about flashlight saves or something like that, its about time.
I dont see how a faster pickup has anything to do with basement
I think you are missing the point tbh. This idea, whether added as a new perk or already active perk would not end well. You do realise that picking up survivors quicker leaves little to no time for flashlight saves or pallet saves. Right now you're thinking of only killer benefits. It's not a matter of playtime. You can still have 20 minute games without fast pickup time times. If someone is sabotaging a hook, a quick drop or Save The Best For Last will destroy them. Makeing the third and only other form of save useless. As a perk on it's own, it is pointless as why would you need to pickup survivors faster if you have no one around? Save an extra second or 2 sure but really. If you haven't thought about the negatives with how basement can be abused more with this, you have ill considered this whole idea.
Think about the effect for both sides. Honestly, pickup and drop times are fine. As a killer player, I have no problem with them. If I was, I'd just use Fire Up. That's what it's there for. To make a new perk would just make Fire Up pointless.
What you can argue instead is to slightly increase numbers on Fire Up.

you do realize that they shortened the pickup animation by a ton right? any more and flashlights/pallet/sabo saves would be physically impossible
Exactly. Honestly, it just feels like they really want a basement build. Cause that's all Iron Grasp and Agitation are combined for. This guy wants an easier time of bringing them to basement if you ask me 😅

I dont want it on both of them^^ As i suggested, i only want a perk that picks up survivors faster. however iron grasp and agitation are no super good perks, but i think this addition could fit one of them. I would like it on agitation so you can safe alot of time by using these perk.
No I mean if you have a 3rd perk that makes pickups faster. It just makes it for a basement build and that's it. Agitation and Iron Grasp are enough to deal with as survivors cant even wiggle with normal speed out of grasp unless hits or or sabo are taken. The pickup and drop speeds are fine, just face a wall and check pallets. You will always get to a hook.
-
@RayrafLPP said:
Hey guys, so there are no perks that make survivor pickups faster except for the freddie perk.
How about Agitation or Iron grasp would be buffed and also grant a 20% faster pickup (not stackable)
Or just another Perk that does that.
picking up and hooking survivors is sooo extremely slow and time expensive and these two perks are not extremely strong.
What do you think?
So, basically. You want to bring people to the basement easier? XD cause that's the only reason you would ever have those two together unless you're new to the game or just dont have alot of teachables. Cause if this goes through, just run those 3 perks with Mad Grit and every game will be a basement game. And if you're someone like Trapper or an easy camp killer, where is the skill and fun in that. If you're able to pick up and drop quicker, it just makes any sort of save impossible. Just use Fire Up. It's what it is there for and it does other actions too. May not be what you'd like but it's the way it is.

Honestly I was really hyped up when I saw the reveal trailer and played the ptb, but now I feel disillusioned.
Other than the Silent Hill name this chapter has really nothing to offer. The map is too closed up to legitimately navigate and we got more of those breakable walls that are absolutely necessary to break to play the game. Pyramid head is laughably bad as when going through the process of trying to get survivors tormented due to the fact that it not only gives survivors a free save most of the time; but also clears the torment of other survivors. Playing him feels more like playing Demogorgon but not being able to use the shred. It's just a fancy zoning tool at this point which basically makes him a M1 killer with flashy filler. The AOE attack is extremely easy to dodge and he has zero map pressure. The idea of the cages make sense because you'd think that "Hey now they have to go to the other side of the map to get the save" but most survivors are already far from the killer when doing gens and barely have to waste any time to save from cages. The only legitimately useful part of his kit is Final Judgement because of the time it saves. His AOE is stuck in one place so there's not a lot of skill you can use to land a hit. Prediction can only go so far, especially when survivors know you're going to be trying to land a hit. Some people may say that since it's able to go through walls that it can be used with skill but that is entirely guessing. Realistically, too, you'll miss a majority of those shots OR be on an open map where that opportunity isn't avaliable. On top of that the huge wind up gives survivors a lot of time to react. Missing the attack makes you lose so much distance it's not worth the risk of using and playing against him I was never hit unless I made a dumb mistake. So if the killers power is utterly useless and more of a gimmick than it is a threat, then what about the perks?
I will be going over both Cheryl's perks and Pyramid head's perks here. I don't have anything to say about Heather mostly because survivors are just different skins.
Pyramid Head Perks
Forced Penance: Apply "Broken" to a survivor who takes a protection hit for 20/25/30 seconds.
this perk is just pathetic as you will either chase the survivor and down them or they'll just do something else while waiting for the broken effect to go away. Also far too situational and underwhelming for said situation.
Trail of Torment: Kick a gen and become undetectable for 15 seconds, the gen is highlighted yellow and has a 120/100/80 second cool down.
This one must've not had more than 3 seconds of thought put into it. There's no point in being undetectable if you leave a giant sign saying "I'M OVER HERE BUT YOU CANT SEE ME :)". It's the same thing with Demogorgons portals and old Ghostface. The whole point of stealth is that people DON'T know where you are. Especially if you're a giant buff dude with a long pointy piece of metal on his head and dragging a large knife that people can hear. On top of this the cool down makes it only usable like 3 times a match. Adding a large cool-down to already terrible perks IS NOT balance. It's just lazy and hurts snowball potential which is what killers desperately need in order to have the match not end in 6 minutes.
Death-Bound: Survivors who heal from 32 meters away or more will scream and the healer will become oblivious for 45 seconds when 16/12/8 meters away from the healed survivors.
I like the idea of this one, it's probably the most creative and actually usable one in the bunch. It isn't strong but it's a fun perk to play around with. In practicality it's sort of trash but good enough. You probably wont find the survivors after they finish healing as you're probably doing something else in the moment like hooking, chasing or interrupting gens. I really enjoy perks that mess with survivors abilities to track the killer because the terror radius is such a huge mechanic in the game.
Cheryl's Perks
Soul Guard: When recovering from the dying state gain the endurance status effect for 8 seconds. While cursed with a hex you can full recover from the dying state.
This is literally just a NOED counter. All it really does is punish killers for using hex perks, which are already weak considering they can be disabled at any time. In the current game state I can see this being a problematic perk. Personally I haven't tested to see if you can pick yourself up more than once but it means if you're still trying to use the new Hex: Ruin for some reason then you just lose pressure with a perk that encourages you to keep up pressure. I do really hope that Soul Guard is only a one time use because it would be worse than unbreakable since the only counter is for you to LOSE YOUR PERK. Second chance perks should not be in the game period. Many of the problems people have with the game come from these second chances. DS and Unbreakable are a prime example of survivors getting 4000 tries while killers have a noose around their neck that gets tighter every second. As someone who still uses hexes I am at an extreme disadvantage over something I cannot physically control. All this perk does is potentially remove desperately needed pressure and band-aid fix an already terrible but annoying perk.
Blood-Pact: If you or the obsession are injured you see each others auras. Disables if you're the obsession.
I genuinely thought this was a joke when I saw it. A perk that kills itself based on rng? You can get much better results and more information with Empathy. Your perk also wont choose to stop existing when using empathy.
Repressed Alliance: After working on a gen for 80/70/60 seconds you can call the entity to block a gen for 30 seconds.
It's just a Pop Goes the Weasel counter that can be used for memes and trolling. It's creative but that doesn't make it good. The only purpose it serves is to prevent gen progress loss which could be strong but we'll have to find out when it goes live.
Overall the whole chapter is just a disaster. Sometimes it seems like we get 6 perks because BHVR feels like they have to crank out something. The only thing these perks are going to do is inflate the bloodweb even more. Sure you could say that it adds build variety but most people will just stick to the meta anyways. There's no point in running a different build if you're just putting yourself in a considerable disadvantage. Very disappointed in this one, especially since it's something as big as Silent Hill. Maybe these things will be changed but I honestly doubt it. We're just going to be stuck with another killer who looks cool but is really just frustrating to play as, along with perks that will just spend the rest of their days collecting dust.
I laugh at this. Mainly because he doesnt seem bad at all. His ability does require an element of skill do both perform and evade. But it's not meant to be just whipped out willy nilly. Same as torment trail. Lay it in spots you know they'll HAVE to walk through. Yes, 2 out of his 3 perks are ill considered but I think Deathbound is good for certain build ideas. But all in all, PH is a strong solid killer. Defeats Sabos, DS, Unbreakable, Flashlight, Pallet saves. And an ability like Doc but hurts them. I'd say he's fine. Just dont buy it if you dont like it. No killer should snowball. Just as survivors shouldnt be able to snowball gens. It's a problem where snowball in general needs to be fixed for both sides. Killers shouldnt win in 5 minutes just like survivors shouldnt either. Cheryl (Heather) perks are strong. Blocks Pop but can be used to troll if using Red Herring, Diversion and whatnot. Unlimited Unbreakables are silly. Dont know what their idea was with that. But honestly, I'd say he's strong. High risk high reward killer.

A killer main that just admitted they cant get past r3 is lecturing us on how bloodlust is no longer needed because the games killer sided now and how camping is sad? It sounds to me like you dont understand the game as well as you think you do. Im not trying to be mean its just a weird thing to say all those things in a single post.
That said I agree with you on swf not being that big of an issue, gen speeds in and of themselves I think are actually OK, the problem is thats all thats required. There NEEDS to be a non optional secondary objective. Kind of like pigs rbts but more consistent.
I was referring to bloodlust staying after an action is performed which is what this person wants which would be honestly stupid as it rewards for free with no punishment. You just misunderstood. But that's fine, just the read the post a bit more next time. All's cool.
Honestly, this kid wanting even smaller maps, substantial gen degression, free infinite bloodlust until hit... he just wants a free game and threatens to insidious Bubba if he doesnt get a resolve. It just sounds like a child made that post.

Hello everyone,
I am new to this forum, and I love this game. I play it as a survivor rank 1 and a killer the highest I got was rank 4. I watch many top streamers who play this game and do not have corrupt intervention to help slow the game down.
First of all I'd like to say that I have been trying to get rank 1 as a killer, but I admit I am not as good as the streamers who play this game, but it shouldn't be that hard to get to rank 1 as a killer. The amount of points you need to rank up as a killer with the way this current emblem system is... It's nearly impossible unless you are a professional streaming killer, and even they lose to SWF groups.
Now here are some suggestions I have for the devs about how we can make things fairer.
The first one makes the most sense to me to balance out the game, make a ranked, and a casual mode, and within both these modes, make one Playlist where partying up with your friends is disabled, and one Playlist where you can join with friends.
If this feature is never implemented then new players will always have a bad experience in my opinion. The main issue with this game is that it was intended originally to have no communication on mics with direct call-outs that hugely help the survivors. I have noticed I can win as a killer even against top ranked survivors, as long as they weren't SWF. So thats one huge problem.
To help out killers against SWF groups, there should be some changes such as: killer movement speed increase, bloodlust is obtained faster, bloodlust doesn't go away when breaking pallets, generators spawn closer, maps are cut in half in size, get rid of the injured state to eliminate tiers of killers based off M1 vs 1 shot down killers, have pop goes the weasel be a default result of kicking any generator, bring back the old hex ruin.
These buffs to killers would make it fairer to fight against SWF groups, but make the game impossible for new players who aren't SWF.
There is clearly a bias war dividing this community between survivor mains, and killer mains. At the games current state I have little incentive to want to play as killer, because I feel I have no power, and that I am the victim getting bullied by 4 people on communications. This is why you see so many killers farming and trying to derank so the games can be fun again.
But since Gen Rushing is the current meta and strategy, I think to really get the devs attention, as killers, who are required to even play this game, I suggest to all the killers who feel my pain to start a new movement. I do not know what the hashtag should be, but the movement involves fighting fire with fire. Gen rushing does nothing but make the game not fun. No one really pips from a true gen rush, and it deranks killers like me who are trying to get to rank 1. So I suggest we all start Bubba insidious face camping survivors to give them a taste of their own medicine. You want boring games? Bring it on. You want to hold the game hostage as retaliation to my protest? Bring it on. Eventually people will stop playing this game, which will FORCE the devs to do something about it. At least just change the way the emblem system works, and give killers 2-4 times the amount of blood points for having to deal with this Gen rush meta and give us incentive to play killer again.
Thank you for your time,
#FixThisGame
Look, having these fix ideas are fine and all but no. None of this works. Consider an actual new SWF group for one, all rank 20-15 and consider the always broken rank pairings. I've found I'm 15 getting reds and purples then when I'm 12 I'm getting reds, yellows and browns. To make bloodlust stay after action, its killers choice to perform action. If you dont want to bloodlust a pallet that's on you.
There are still other gen degression perks I.e Pop, Overcharge, Surge etc. SWF are strong sure but it's not swf that needs the nurfing in a sense. The game needs what Rainbow Siege did with Operation Health. No new content, spend a few months overhauling fixes and patches.
And SWF are much rarer than some make it to be. Trust me, you'll know if they are. Just saying every team that beats you is a four man is not a four man half the time, they just played well.
If you "Want" to resort to sad Insidious Bubba, again... all on you. You'll probably get one-two free pity kills and you'll be no better for it, you'll only safety pip at best. Cause guess what Red rank IS hard, that's the point. No matter how good I play I cant get passed 3 but I dont care cause for me 1 doesnt mean anything.
They've changed maps for killer, changed loops. If you still need to bloodlust then damn you're doing something wrong. And this comes from a killer main. The argument is gen speed. Nothing else. Fix gen speed, swf wont be so bad. Hell half the time they're so altruistic it works better for killer.

IDK with borrowed time because some killers and perks can lower their terror radius to non existent so that might remove the borrowed time
On the ds part i have never experienced with this issue.
With BT, he had the symbol. Still had half a timer on it but when he got hit with some seconds to spare, it didnt work. Against Doctor btw

The only Quinten perk I use is pharmacy. I farm green medkits and bring one of those to heal myself. That was before Inner Str got here. I still do it sometimes to give myself another perk.
Fine enough. I just haven't seen anyone use any of the perks. Like Wake Up? Never had a game at all ranks where people use it. So it's apparently a 1 in a million thing I guess

There are valid complaints about ds i can name a couple if you'd like Locker invisibility,Rewards Terrible Play.
Justifying someone dcing because they didnt find something fun is not a valid argument slugging is a valid strategy that has counters if a killer slugs in the end game that other survivor can simply let the one on the ground bleed out it's not that serious also if the killer finds the hatch said survivor can just tempt luck with a door and with wake up almost 80% of the time the door is open before a heartbeat is even heard.
Regardless of points and a 3k what should have been a 4k but a survivor abused a broken mechanic stop justifying it you are basically saying thats acceptable that the survivor did that which if you are you may need to re read the rules of the game feller.
Dude, who tf uses Wake Up?! XD in fact, who uses any of Quintens perks. The only time anyone used Wake Up was when it was bugged and worked on everything. And I'm not sure what games you're getting but at all ranks. The only time some has escaped through gate after hatch close is if they're on opposite sides of the match which is fair.
Yes, the setup for that game was brutal bit he still got 2k, a disconnect and lots of points. The only reason he lost 1 was cause the other disconnected which sucks but that quit survivor gets nothing.

Yeah I agree it's pretty sad when you go and there's nothing at all (and so many empty levels for anything!), but I guess they want you to feel like that in a way. I agree that even adding +100 shards per empty level could work, it would add incentive while also making the characters / perks more accessible if not yet bought by newer players.
I think it's funny people defending them for it though. Like yeah free stuff, I'll be sure to remember what charm my killer/survivor is using in game while I've got to sweat my ass off so I don't lose 😅 cosmetics would be cool if they were for characters I play. If I could sell them in game for some shards, at least thatd be fine. I get it, pay money gives rewards cause you bought them. But at least have the tree for the others have something more than a brown or yellow charm for like 50 levels. Every 4th block.

You get some free cosmetics and blood points from the challenges themselves. That seems pretty generous.
Also,
" I'm sure others can relate when they dont bother paying 10 quid everytime a new tome pass comes"
If you play even a decent amount the tome more than pays for itself. IE you pay one time and get all future premium tomes FREE with extra auric cells left over even. It is a one time fee, not over and over.
Half the challenges are made to be toxic I.e Basement bounties, NOED bounties, kill two people at EGC. Free cosmetics are fine to an extent, if it was for characters that I would be interested in playing. And saying that that's on the person for not playing the character is bs. Players shouldnt feel forced to play a character they have no interest in. At least if we could sell those cosmetics for shards thatd be good. Means we're getting something out of it. It's not generous at all 😅 but if that's your opinion, that's your opinion. Your entitled to it.

Looking at his gameplay, he counters so much. No more pallet save, blind save, DS, Unbrakeable. More difficult to loop. And if that wasnt enough, he gets a free mori. So yeah, he needs some punishment before made live. Cause right now, he has too much on his side when considering which killer to play
That and I'm sure if you use Unnerving Presence while they're in the cage, that skill check will be ridiculous

In my opinion the cage will only be useful against altruistic survivors and if you know that most of them are more or less near, because using the cage can backfire if one survivor is near that cage which would result in much less map pressure
Monitor and Infectious would help in making that decision maybe.
