Have you seen footage of skilled “bully squads”? They sure as hell do prevent killers from enjoying or progressing the game.

yeah punish SWF not SoloQ you think we give a sheet, we don't even play duo here lol if we did i wouldn't have to lose rank every other Nurse match.

If your teammates are that bad, are they really going to be able to coordinate with one another to deny the killer first-hook states? That is a way bigger ask than cleansing one totem.

They don't but i can lol, just because they suck doesn't mean i suck we go back to low and mid mmr at some point but NOED keeps us there far longer than necessary,

its practically a free win for the killer if you can't beat 3 objectives at once Avoid the Killer, Cleanse NOED, Open the gates, It's not that easy.

Just putting out some numbers, because I love numbers. Also, since we are having a Circle of Healing nerf, I wanted to go through and just calculate how inefficient each type of healing is, compared to gen speeds.

Every second of time used in the game is 1.25% of a gen that could be worked.

After calculating it out, I'm actually surprised at what I found. If you are an SWF, Booning a Totem is worthless, even pre-nerf. A dedicated "We'll Make It" team member twice as effective as a "pre-nerf Circle of Healing" teammate, while they are about 3 times as effective as a "post-nerf Circle of Healing" teammate.

This is not even including how detrimental blessing boons and looking for totems is to your gen speeds.

After viewing the numbers, I think the Circle of Healing nerf is actually a blessing in disguise for survivors because it will allow survivors to re-evaluate Circle of Healing and actually see that it's not the best single slot healing perk out there.

Anyway, here's the numbers and how inefficient each method of healing is. The CoH nerf will screw solo though.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/H2XHTVRXICVT/image.png

This is what I told them COH is DEAD, Equip bond or aftercare its faster and easier. go ask a teammate to heal you, its far safer than to go alone.

That is a full regression from the point the devs spent many hours getting the perk to its at now.

NOED's original effect used to be just giving a speed boost and it also used to not be a hex perk. After a lot of iterations they finally made it a hex perk that gives exposed because that actually gave the perk a meaningful effect on the game.

Stop trying to change this perk, it's fine. Players need to learn to do totems which isn't even hard to do as countering totems is like the 3 most supported mechanic in the game. You have counterforce, small game, detective's hunch, maps, and boons to work with yet people would rather try and change a perk that is just decent at best to be objectively worse than just play the game and use the tools you have been given.

I don't even use the perk anymore, but these threads straight up make me angry because I'm playing the same game as the rest of y'all under the same conditions, but can not understand why it seems people will not use the tools available to solve an issue that the devs put in specifically to address said issue.

you haven't see low to mid mmr gameplay have you, Wraiths always get a 4k with Noed, no sweat needed, its practically ez baby mode.

...I just can't agree with that statement. I don't see how coordinating to deny the killer hook states is easier and more reliable counterplay than cleansing a single lit totem.

Yikes, this guy haven't played in low to mid mmr soloq survivor, they're playing like bats they need echolocation to find hexes, they'll only see it when its on an extremely bad spot, you'll never see soloq players find totems in good places cause they have no clue about it.

  • @randonly said:

yes, with balance focus high SWF from devs, it's getting harder and harder to have even reasonable matches in SoloQ.

I had already made a similar suggestion, if you want to support:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/314431/guided-voice-system-communication-wheel-system-for-solo-survivors

Thank you! that's a well thought out suggestion, I hope you get a lot support with your idea.

  • I agree cheaters and SWFs are a problem. But a Veteran Nurse can do 2k at best if they atleast try.

  • Just practice Nurse for a couple of weeks and you'll wreck teams in no time.

yea but i dont want to run a build JUST TO NOT BE CAMPED (if we go by that logic we can just tell killers to run a anti heal build and counter CoH) i thought about running deliverance and DS but i need a safe unhook then...

Thanks now that you remind me, I'm off to remake my old legion anti boon/healing build.

Also DS is only as good as your team mates, the best way is to avoid being the first one hooked, Just use sprint burst its for the better lol

You dont know how % work in this game, the heal with the new boon will be 21.333 seconds.

COH gives you the ability to self heal Which is by default -50% from normal healing speed.

Which us 32s but circle if healing gives you 50% bonus speed.

So the og COH was 32:2 = 16

    current 32:1.75 = 18.285

    the new one 32:1.5 = 21.333

Maybe dark theory should also increase status effect recovery, like a weaker vigil?

That's good but probably OP lol

  • Pain Resonance needs a buff, I don't know where that 15% gen regression goes but it sure doesn't stop gen rushers from finishing a gen, Unlike PGTW and Deadlock.

  • @Chilli_man2400 said:

We all know Dark Theory is the worst boon out of the 4. So does it need a buff? This perk is very tricky to change because you can never tamper with survivors MS without making it busted. This perk can either be weak or strong as #########. Heres what I would do

When within the Boons 24 meter radius. Gain 2% Haste status effect. Gain 2% speed to vaulting and dropping pallets. This effect lingers for 2/3/4 seconds when leaving the boons radius.

All this perk needed is a secondary effect. I think this works just fine. But still do you think it needs a buff or no?

It should be Boon: Resilience when you get hurt you get extra 1 percent haste(now 3%) + 5% vaulting speed.

I thought I already put it so the killer is undetectable but I guess I just had the idea in my head but didn't type it, I also made it so Lawyers Prediction only works on generators and other survivors need to be within 8 meters of the survivor to see the killers aura.

Another thing I did was make a rough draft of what the perk icon would be for Broken Man's Wrath.

you need to block their aura reading because they'll see where the other 3 survivor is making you stand out(you're the only one without an aura), meanwhile if 4 of them stick together they'll easily suspect you're the killer.

  • Sprint burst would have wrecked the whole game by then, everyone thinks DH is unfair, they just don't know Sprint Burst + Vigil.

Tell me you don't play the game a lot without saying you don't play the game a lot.

that's still 35 seconds + the threat of being killed while running around like a headless chicken, Bond and Aftercare is still the better option out of Self Care or COH. The worst part is it makes survivors predictable.

Tell me you don't play survivor without saying you don't play survivor.

Such a good point that I went and double-checked my notes.

"Z" Block now applies Hemorrhage for 90 seconds. I need to update the patch notes draft! Thanks for asking and making me double-check!

That's fair but when are you going to let us apply Hemorrhage while using Legion's Ability. :D

Thanks for giving us answers :)

Its still, basically 2/3rds of all Claudette's perks rolled into 1. Botany Knowledge and SELF-CARE. that apply to the whole team, that all you have to do is go to a specific location on the map that's decently sized.. And as an unintended side note, makes survivors look for totems more, so they can cleanse them, which means hexs are also less effective.

It's an uneven exchange, 14 seconds of blessing only amounts to 32 seconds of self healing and only 6 seconds less to healing other and easily snuffed for 1 second. Might as well bring self care and heal on the spot, oh wait Self Care sucks.

That 1 whole gen you could have done in that span of time instead running around trying to get to a boon, which would even get you killed.

why not just bring aftercare or bond so you can atleast know where everyone is and heal faster with them instead of running around looking for bones.

The boon is stationary, Survivors aren't.

That's not even the problem in the first place, it was too spammable to be called fair, but the healing wasn't the problem.

  • You should add a blindness(to aura reading) effect for when you trigger Blend-in. so that your aura won't just pop out of nowhere to anyone who uses Bond or Kindred.

Also add a penalty or debuff to survivors when they try to group up so they have to spread out in order to do anything.

  • It's already dead but Killers are still complaining about it even though its practically Worst Version of Self care.

Who wants to run to the other end of the map just to bless a totem for 14 seconds and heal for 32 seconds. lol

    Killer mains are being overzealous.

  • Yeah its still weak but it's better than nothing, would you rather wait 10 more years just to see Legion rework happen, They're running on with BHVR schedule where one task takes years to be done.

  • @AcelynnBen said:

Yes we got a CoH nerf that's awesome

we still have the fact that gens fly faster than rockets, i played 2 hours, not a single game won as killer the most i get is 1k by facecamping in end game

seriously i don't wanna play nurse, i wanna enjoy my nemsis, my pyramid head, i wanna have something else beside Noed 99% of the time, this is really unfair, and just depression like hell

Either play toxic and get toxicity from survivors or play as u are suppose to play and get bagged at the door

there is just no solution is there

Actually there is a solution, see ya in June, i got my auric cells for the next killer i might as well forget about this game for a while

    Have "Fun" everyone

Bad Maps helps with Gen rushing, couple that with slow m1 killers, There's no real gen defense aside from Corrupt intervention.

  • Great Concept but SWF and Aura Reading perks would spell trouble for the killer.

  • Equip Sprint Burst and Iron Will, if you have Parental guidance then better. Just stick to your team then when the killer arrives run towards the nearest LOS blocker.

It's a guaranteed escape 9/10 times but you'll run out of teammates faster than you do gens.

But if you're smart you'd rather equip Aftercare and take a hit for your team whenever necessary since Sprint Burst can put you in between the killer and your team fastest, and it saved me from a lot of losing games as well as team mates.

I play Heroes of the Storm, when I feel a hankering for a MOBA (although in fairness that's because I like to duo with the missus and it's the MOBA she enjoys most).

That said - if by 'real MOBA', you mean a janky mod for a 20 year old game that nobody but a few weird, crusty vetarans plays anymore then...sure?

If you're talking about DOTA 2, Valve absolutely bans people for being nasty, so I'm not sure what your point is.

    https://youtu.be/eL0q6ft9Tzo

Cause clearly you haven't played DOTA 2

Basically all of them - which is where moderation comes into play.

LoL is my best example - the addition of the Tribunal saw what was, at the time, probably the most unpleasant gaming community in mainstream gaming become actually pretty tolerable - and one of the reasons why LoL will likely always be *the* MOBA.

DOTA is the real MOBA, don't push your anime waifu bs on me, we got tougher than nails competition than your overhyped cartoon smash bros. except the only thing you smash is the recall button.

Weirdly, that 'trash talk is common in sports' thing hasn't been true for a very long time. Mostly, being unsportsmanlike - especially after a match - will get you sanctioned. There are some sports where it happens, but these are at least part show - boxing, MMA and the like - where rivalries are half of the appeal. And even then - you shake hands before and after the bout.

You haven't played Dota and Valorant at all?! Do people even get banned for sheet they say in chat? No one cares when its a competitive game, this isn't a fair sport this is DBD we aren't playing Hockey here.

  • This game is meant to push survivors and killers to their limit and you complain that there is toxicity? what highly competitive multiplayer game does not produce toxicity?

  • Lol I get worst treatment playing Trapper and Hag in high mmr but you don't see me complain. I do tunnel and camp but i think it's just fair since its a no holds barred.

No one's gonna hold your hand in High MMR.

Well actually they are working for some buffs solo-q. Just we don't know when or how. Just "soon".

They should have rolled that first before the PTB changes, The next update is going to have a heavy toll on the health of the game.

  • In a game where time is the most necessary component in balancing, surely running out of time isn't a problem. *sarcasm

As Killers you should all know by now that claudettes that self-care in a corner drags a team down faster than a dwight who never shows up to unhook, the other one is doing gen and the other isn't.

Unless we're talking about SWF COH is already dead.

  • I used to be a Killer Fanatic !00% Killer and 0% Survivor

Now its 50% Killer 50% Survivor

It's already dead, It's practically deadweight now in SoloQ, The only players who can use it are SWF and even then its weighted heavily on the circumstances.

I can already see people complaining about SWF and medkits again, I guess its time to nerf Built to last.

  • This forum often overestimates the intellectual capabilities of my soloq team

It's not because bubba is strong, it's because my 3 soloq survivor teammates collectively has singular neuron that only turns on and off when we're against a bubba.

it goes like "Duhhhh that's a bubba, imma loop it near a gen in progress so my team can rescue me when i get hooked."

or "Oh its a bubba, imma go stay near the hook to see if can unhook" *proceeds to hook bomb while not being able unhook at all

What goes next is a series of F*ck ups that gets the bubba a 4k while still not being able to finish a single gen.

  • camping doesn't increase mmr that much contrary to public opinion, i don't see any camping bubba in high mmr.

Tunneling on the other hand, against weak survivors is very effective but also douchey move, you exhaust weak survivors into submission regardless if they run Meta perks or just playing for fun.

In high mmr I would agree Tunneling and Camping is fair but in low mmr where the killer clearly suck and just wants to get 4k all the time, it's a bad habit that entails a lot of stress and would ruin everyone's day.

Unless you're like me who mains weak killers in high mmr cause i like the challenge, don't act like a douche or you'll regret it in the long run.

You don't tier 3 your perks before playing? why?

  • @renaclock said:

So I started playing DBD last month and playing only nurse when I play survivor.

I lost few match cuz I had no idea how she works but after that I'm winning almost every match.

First 2 week or so most survivors never look behind and just run forward or try to run around pallets while getting chase so I could hit them with a single blink.

Recently I go against survivors prob with high MMR that tries to trick me and do random move but I can still get them within 2~3 blinks so not really a problem.

So I thought playing survivor must be so painful cuz they lose every match.

But in 30~ matches I done as survivor,I've seen only one nurse that looked like her first match and most of the time 2 ppl get to escape.

Why is everyone not playing nurse?

I heard she's the strongest too.

Speak for yourself, in my server there's even more Nurse than Blight and Spirit combined. and I like messing with Spirit players.

Ive been playing dbd for years. When I first started the nurse I didnt quite understand how she was in her gameplay. She was completely different from other killers. Meaning slow chasing, survivors looping around her while she tries to reach them with her blinks n her fatigues interupts in long period of time. I completely stop playing her and after getting bp I was getting using from other characters to complete her teachable perks. But then when things got updated n different I though of myself why not try again. N still surprise that she was still was difficult for me to manage her. No matter which perks i choose or add ons I pick. Im still not getting kills. They all fixed the gens and quad escapes. Even the game it says shes hard character. Ive seen other players in the past having trouble playing as her. So what Im saying that is it possible to change few things about her or rework her? Its been over 9 games n nothing seems to work. Specially on bigger maps like the RPD for example. Ive been trying blink her to the balcony third level where the library is, but she couldnt reach there. Once it kept her same spot and the snd time it transfered me to the dungeon and I was like ######### is this? Not gonna lie I was very anrgy and devasted. Shes like the only Im having problems with. Has anyone have been going through the same situation? Can I make the community any suggestions? Like:

Update her Gameplay to be less difficult?

    Rework the nurse?

Or increase her movement while chasing and put less time she takes on her fatigue problem?

I know these may sound overpowering, but I really really need some help with the killer. And I think in my opinion it would be great if the community come up something more easier n cooler for us to work with the nurse to enjoy better than her original ways. Plz I would really appreciated if u guys can. N yes, she is a great character, but her gameplay is giving me a hard time.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/1O4KTPVFLZVY/the-nurse-dead-by-daylight.jpg

Hardly, BHVR relegated her to the Dark Souls difficulty level so people will have more variation in high mmr killer other than Blight, They're both high skill, high reward gameplay, Spirit was properly nerfed cause it was just too easy to play as and is frustrating to play against.

  • Killer is the power role in SoloQ and anyone who argues is plain bad.

  • I have no way of venting my SoloQ and SBMM frustrations cause i didn't like playing blight and Nurse is my go to Meta pick.

  • Don't show weakness, survivors will put you through hell if they catch you playing as a baby nurse, When i went against my first SWF streak as Nurse, I felt so horrible that I thought of completely quitting DBD all together and wishing I haven't bought this game at all, It was all pain and suffering, and it still makes me think of that to this day.

TLDR; Playing Nurse as a Newbie Killer is PTSD.
