Why the does everyone hates hag? Is it just me or doesn't it seem that everyone has an unclear bias against hag? She isn't even in high mmr and she's my most played killer since I've started.

I addressed these points in my initial post.
Of course you have to actually do stuff to consistently run through the exit gate, and some of that stuff takes skill, the most skill intensive of which is looping the killer for a long time. The least skilful part is the actual escaping. You literally just run towards a loading screen.
don't feed the trolls, they won't contribute to the discussion either way, they just want to argue.

I always thought the older rank system was way better, just had to make it a tad harder to pip as survivor. Problem solved...at least I think? It worked for many years.
They should also make it harder to depip so i don't lose as much mmr as i do whenever i get hit by a barrage of Nurse and blight all hacing the same Meta build and add ons, I just want to play this game without thinking of winning sometimes.

Lol I kinda get it and I support OP for it, "THIS GAME IS PAY TO WIN", is how i see the competitive scene in this game.

Are you really complaining about getting facecamped at the endgame? What, is the killer supposed to hold your hand to the exit?
no after all i helped my team get a 4 man escape and that's why t-bagging and taunting works, and i'm not ashamed to call it a strat.

You're right, and survivors should be replaced with bots and killers should get a juicebox at the end of each round with a pat on the back.
actually i agree with that, ngl we need bots in this game, atleast they'll know to do gens instead of urban evasioning in the bush.

Thank God they are reworking him. I'm hoping it as to do with his reveal mechanic and his power because he is TRASH.
I get revealed constantly and everywhere. You are in first-person you can't see survivors half the time when they are revealing you. Unless survivors are completely blind to your presence you get revealed from seemingly everywhere. I can be crouched in corn far from a survivor, revealed. What the hell is that. It's not even enough time to 99 a survivor half the time which is how you are ideally supposed to play him. Then you play survivor and you can be in his face 5 meters from him and you get exposed. It feels so broken on both sides but when I play killer I cannot play him the way he was int3nded to be played. The reveal mechanic is ridiculous and make a ridiculously weak m1 killer.
I hope they make his power more like Myers. I seriously have no idea how anyone thinks GF is better then Myers I see people say it quite a bit in tier lists. Myers can stalk WHENEVER HE WANTS and insta down on command, GF can be revealed before getting enough stalk to do it half the time. I hate playing this KILLER because of the reveal mechanic. You feel like the survivors are stalking you and not the other way around half the time.
Git gud, but sometimes awful maps tends to screw with ghostface. Myers is bad what do you mean.

it happens on legion, but what's crazier is a nurse using enduring. like why?

Again, it feels like I'm trying to dig holes in water here - because you keep changing your story.
Which is it? Are you leading them for a 5 gen chase, or are you getting facecamped? Or are you getting tunneled?

I'm saying that your story keeps changing.
First it was 'I act like a toxic little gremlin then lead the killer on a chase for 5 gens, winning the game for my team - which is how I got out of low MMR'.
Now it's 'Well, it makes them facecamp me'.
You need to pick one and stick with it, perhaps? Because this is getting silly.
Killers generally facecamp for two reasons.
- They aren't confident of winning the game playing standard.
- A survivor irritated them and it always feels good to take a bully down a peg.
cause bt and ds is a thing and they're super effective in extending chases and helping survivors escape.
-
I didn't know what bm'ing means until i searched it, but sadly my chat is mostly disabled so i don't do it either.

All you've proven is that, yes, teabagging and strobing people makes them more likely to engage in the same behavior that you not only complain about, but use as justification for teabagging and strobing people.
Why are you boasting about causing the same behavior you complained about?
then you do admit teabagging wins games. facecamping is equal to forfeiting chases to killers right? then why facecamp?

Firstly, those terms are so incredibly nebulous that they are essentially meaningless.
I know I get told off for 'tunneling' because some chumbawumba unhooked in front of my face, mid chase. I get accused of 'camping' if I so much as chase someone past a hook.
Secondly, facecamping is something the devs have confirmed is not intended to be as effective as it is. Their mechanical fix was at the internal testing phase, last we heard.
There is a world of difference between using an ingame mechanic to gain an ingame advantage, and trying to rattle people IRL in the hopes that it makes them play worse.
It's like...back in the day, I used to do a fair amount of Kendo. If I knew my opponent had a weak left eye, I'd attempt to stick to his left. That's a legitimate strategy. Calling him a racial slur and making comments about his kids before the match to try and distract him isn't.
It's so odd that I have to explain this.
then clearly you haven't played dota, Spamming Loud obnoxious callouts wins games like "Lakad Matatag", distracting people get their attention off of things, screaming at a bear and acting obnoxiously lends their attention to me, away from things the I deem vulnerable unlike killers hitting people on hook, survivors don't get distracted by getting hate it only makes them gen rush faster. It's not the same.

It's known as the fallacy of false equivalency, with just a smidgeon of whataboutism.
Nothing more than ye olde 'I want to act the fool in a videogame and take out my frustrations on other players, so I'll use the actions of someone else to justify it'.
or i get to distract the killer for 5 gens and he won't touch my teammates, i get to win the game and not lose my mmr in soloq. it's a valid strategy.

...
Huh?
Tunneling and camping aren't BM. You aren't trying to shake someone up IRL to make them tilt. You're just being cheesy.
Facecamping at high MMR generally means you're okay with getting 1, maybe 2 killers max. At high MMR, camping is usually less rigid.
Tunneling is just...how this game works. Trying to 2 hook everyone before you kill them and not chasing someone because you haven't 2 hooked someone else yet is basically going to lose you the game.
Strobing and BMing the killer is the equivalent of the killer hitting you on hook, or deliberately bleeding you out. It's just being nasty.
killer hitting you on hook is a good sign for survivors less time for you to start chases, and do you think that survivors like getting tunneled and camped? It's a valid strategy of course, but it doesn't mean its playing fair, no one think its fun to get tunneled and camped, but everyone thinks its a good strategy,
so is bm'ing the more time killers chases you the less time they're chasing weaker survivors who would absolutely die in the first minute. it lets them extend the game by distracting killers.
It's how i get out of low mmr, looping killers for 5 gens, and do you think I'm happy getting chased all the time? No, but it saves my teammates, it wins me games, so don't tell me its not the same, I got more to lose by doing so, but i lose everytime if i don't.

You said 'it's about winning by any means necessary'.
I'm saying you're wrong.
There are plenty of restrictions on what you can and can't do to win in this game.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2858508#Comment_2858508
I think you vastly overestimate how much this works on people.
For me, all it does is irritate me, and I'll go from my usual chill 'yeah these were fun survivors, I'll probably give the last one or two hatch or gate' to 'okay, you all die now'.
I'll wait till I catch you in a better spot, whittling down your team in the meanwhile. Then I'll down you, hook you, probably proxy and then tunnel you out of the game. If I can, I'll probably bleed you out too.
And best of all, I'll remember you - so the next time I see you, you're getting the strongest addons and offerings I have.
Then you'll make a post on the forums complaining about being tunneled and camped and using it as a weaselly justification for continuing to be obnoxious ingame. Much as you did in this thread.
if tunneling and camping is your way of showing hate then survivors aren't unjustified if they tbag you at the gate. killers shouldn't be excused either from receiving hate. everyone gets hate in this game no exceptions.

So you're not interested or invested at all in what you're playing? How could you just not care?
Sportsmanship is always relevant when you get to the competitive level of a multiplayer game. If you're not there, party game away. But at this level of skill and experience, we expect good old respect by default, not disrespect.
sportsmanship is dead in this game, this game have and will always have toxic sweaty players even if you say otherwise, and FYI hitting a survivor on hook gives survivors more time to do gens and hurts the killer even more. If tunneling and camping is a viable strategy then so is tbagging. do you often see killers letting go of survivors after they get hooked in high mmr?
-
it should add a 5% vaulting speed then its balanced. it's not that big unless you're playing sloppy either as killer or survivor.

What you said about Plague is a very general consensus for most killers. You should always know when to drop chase and when to be aggressive and have map awareness (like managing a three gen and not leaving to go chase in an area with no gens). That is with all killers, not just Plague.
Spirit has a sound cue but it’s not super predictable. It’s directional but she’s moving so fast that at certain pallet loops you’re just dead. Can’t outplay a killer that is moving nearly double your speed that you can’t see. Plus she can use that to her advantage and put her phasing sound on one side of the pallet and do a quick double back and you have no reaction time for that. And why Sprint Burst and Fixated? Dead Hard is way stronger and you don’t know Fixated to help with scratches because most good survivors know when to stop running and where their scratch marks are going.
yeah but her kit makes her better in tile management than others, it's practically what makes or breaks every plague game.
a good pair of headphones can fix that, and just like with nurse you loop (Spirit) differently with a pallet, and you can trick a good spirit in a corner using self aware and 99'd sprint burst, unlike dead hard on which you can only use it when injured and it's mostly 50-50 if you're on a good tile or the Spirit catches you off guard before you can use it.
Deadhard isn't the answer for everything unlike sprint burst.

Sprint Burst...yeah, I could see that. But generally you don't approach phased - you close, try to get a hit then phase.
Almost nobody runs Self Aware. IW is more likely (and more annoying).

I’m so glad Plague is getting recognition of being a great killer. I’ve always loved playing as her and she’s been a main killer of mine since her release.
But ahead of Spirit? Eh, I just can’t see that. Those are my two main killers and I’ve never thought to myself that Plague was better. In a lot of scenarios, Plague can’t do much at pallet loops with teams who stay injured and all have Dead Hard. Sure you have at least one pool but you have to make a good use out of it and hope it isn’t all the way in Antarctica.
Spirit is still borderline uncounterable without Iron Will and even if you do have Iron Will she can still hear grass rustling and short phasing bursts are key to playing against Iron Will. You can definitely confuse her and throw her off but I really don’t see any difference in facing a Spirit now compared to pre-nerf other than it feeling more fair when I get downed and knowing that she is coming in my direction rather than her just popping up. And this is coming from someone who never takes off Iron Will.
Artist is good. Really good. Top tier good. But her counterplay is predictable and boring. Survivors do the only thing they can do and that is leave every loop. Leading to a hold W meta and stale gameplay. She is great at shutting down loops and is the single best killer to do that other than Nurse. But most of the time she isn’t able to do that because competent survivors are not staying at loops with her.
Not really, as a plague main its more of maintaining momentum and micro-management in which case a good plague knows when to drop a chase and when to be extremely aggressive, It's all boils down to map awareness and capitalizing survivor's mistakes, if you can down 2 people with just one pool inside a deadzone you practically won the game.
Spirit on the otherhand is just much easier to control but harder to play as in high mmr, aside from your predictable sound cue, good survivors tend to not let themselves get hit in the first place, they'll drag it on for a long time and it basically a game of pin the tail on the dunky until one of you messes up and a healthy survivor with a pallet is practically untouchable until he drops the pallet. also sprint burst and self-aware is a thing too.
Artist is just meh, unpredictable survivors are hard to catch as they'll do everything to avoid getting hit by the birds which are also easy to predict. get in the locker or just press w.
-
@GannTM said:
In what universe is Spirit B tier???
In the no add-on meta. It's more predictable now more than ever before. Sprint burst and Self-aware is the bane of a good spirit main.

This is always what "Toxic" Wraith players does, they act like a douche and bully new players low mmr, but once they get to higher mmr against flashlight carrying survivors they start hiding in corners.
and Yes I've met a lot of Sub 500 hours Toxic Wraith in low mmr who's trash when pitted against decent Team of Survivors and gets mad when their Noed get cleansed in the first second. Sadly it's extremely rare to find decent teams in SoloQ

Every killers are literally visible, so directional phasing is nothing.
She is so fast even the strong pallets will be unsafe.
If you consider spirit is balanced, so is nurse, there is as much as downside and mindgame as spirit, pallets and windows doesn't need to be resources because every one of walls will be resource against her, You can still chase nurse as they are unable to play perfectly.
If you consider nurse as fundamentally broken, so is spirit and blight, pallets or windows will not help survivors if those killers are perfect and never make a mistake, it doesn't matter what survivors do, they will get them, kill them, no counter, and yes, billy is broken too if you expect killer to make no mistake.
"fundamentally broken" is such a stupid argument when every one of powers are made to circumvent something survivors do, range, pallet/windows, movement speed, health state, and such.
Current Spirit without add-ons is completely balanced, Spirit is only A tier because her add-ons are very hard to counter, Nurse even without Add-ons is already a nightmare, Spirit needs useful Perks to be viable in high mmr, Nurse only needs slow down to take out a full SWF team in record speed.
Spirit can't phase through walls and pallets.
what are you even talking about?
-
The ones at the top are the Sweatiest Gameplay I've ever had in DBD and somehow manage to get 4ks with in high MMR.

You forgot latency, She dropped it while the nurse was blinking already. and look what 2 seconds of fatigue get her, only 2 seconds of running, the nurse can practically down anyone in less than 10 seconds.

there an example on how to use pallets vs nurse, faked double back twice so nurse would hesitate to instant charge 2nd blink, so i know they can't blink to the other side, so their only option is to short blink or fatigue, so play it patiently and reaction stun them or if they fatigue there was another pallet nearby i could run to and do something similar
How about you check this as well, Stunning a nurse on a pallet is a stroke of luck, it's like 1 in a million chances.

No killers have counter play in close range, they really shouldn't.
How do you use a pallet then, what's the use of a window, how good are you in juking a nurse in mid to short range when there's practically nothing stopping the nurse from killing you?
Whenever i play nurse all i need to do is get close enough to practically unleash my second blink to obtain a free hit and survivors have practically no counterplay for it.

The problem is with matchmaking. There are going to be times when a skilled nurse player goes up against less skilled survivors.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2843866#Comment_2843866
If she lands her blinks correctly then you already screwed up your counterplay. You counterplay needs to happen while she is blinking, or anticipating where she will blink beforehand. If she lands it, that took skill, and you failed to counter it. That's like saying that if the Huntress lands her hatchets correctly there is no counterplay. Once they have already hit there is no counter play. You need to avoid them before they "land correctly". If you get hit, you were outplayed.
The problem is the MMR system. Good nurse players are going to be very skilled, and likely will get matched against players that simply don't have the skill to counter her.
That's where latency and short range blinks come in, there's no anticipation if she can charge her blink for a half second and wreck you then next.
Nurse has no counter play in Mid to short distance ranges, cause she can blink twice faster than you can juke, not to mention the small latency on both sides that makes the nurse blink faster than what you can see on your screen.
All the Nurse has to do is catch up to you in mid to close range in order to land a SURE AND EXACT PINPOINT HIT.
The only way a nurse can mess up is if she always swings in the first blink trying to overreach or doesn't see where she's going.
-
They're racing for that Cold Hard CASH, they know the playerbase isn't getting any bigger and it's not going to stay like this for long, their key motivation here is if even more player leave the less money they'll get from selling dlc so might as well make more and fix the problems later.

What on earth are you talking about? LOL.
With or without Plaid Flannel, the blink is still the same range and something an experienced Nurse player can do themselves via muscle memory. Plaid Flannel is literally distracting for anyone except brand-new/inexperienced players, and leads to reliance on vision instead of on muscle memory.
Also the survivors seeing the indicator would make it drastically worse. The entire point is you mindgame it. Seeing it defeats the whole point.
It should be Basekit.
You'll never know if your blink is bugged or not until you get there or not.
As a Nurse Player I never even knew there was a Plaid Flannel in her Add-ons until I've played her for 200-300 hours. I never used add-ons for most of my killer matches cause I'm greedy and I think they're all crutches until I've hit my peak playing in High MMR for a month as Killer.
Do you even need to mind game while playing Nurse at all? all you need to do is get close hit your 2nd blink reliably, i think it's extremely one sided for "Veteran" Nurse mains to practically hit a single charge blink and down survivors 10 seconds later.
What we need to do is to prevent the first blink from become a good clean hit without any resistance at all, Unlike Nurse mains Survivor's don't get to master playing against the Nurse's blink timing. making it extremely difficult to play effectively against a Good Nurse
This will also help with the Latency Problem when playing against a Good Nurse.
Latency is the Nurse's best friend, She can hit you before you can react cause in the Nurse side of the game she already landed the blink even before you see her clearly appear on your screen. that makes it even worse when practicing timing against Good Nurses.
This would lessen the hate for Nurse Mains and it would makes it less stressful for newbie players to play as the Nurse.
-
NURSE SHOULDN'T BE STEALTHY AT ALL.
It should be basekit along with allowing survivor to see it as well so we can introduce her to newbies and balance the Nurse much better.
Think of it as a tool to prevent Nurse mains from sniping you from afar, it won't stop them from catching up to you and downing you, but it would give you a split second to run and extend the chase for a little bit more time.
Nurse with Hex: Plaything is BROKEN.

The best thing you can do is, when they are about to shock, just dodge it, if you dodge it they have a slight cooldown so you can unhook, or get really close to him when he's shocking, since the cone is smaller there and very unlikely to hit you.
Or you can just power through gens and leave, the same strat against every facecamper.
does calm spirit works?
-
They should really fix the "LACK OF COMMUNICATIONS" in this game, I'm forced to carry most of my games because either none of them are doing gens and I have to gen rush for 3 people or if someone gets hooked or they always end up exchanging places with the hooked survivor.
-
WRAITH IS BROKEN AND OP IN THE LOW MMR AND SHOULD BE DISABLED IN LOW MMR
There i said it and I'm not backing down, that ######### killer has claimed me more matches than a good nurse or a blight did, NO SKILL INVOLVED.
"Toxic" wraiths are your Average Tunnel Lords and HOOK CAMPERS, They might not be able to defeat a good team in high mmr but they sure can do a lot of damage against average players and by average players I mean bumbling noobs who just pre drops all pallets and dies on the first 10-20 seconds of a chase.
He's such a menace in the low mmr even if i loop him for 5 gens I ALWAYS EXPECT HE HAS NOED CHILLING IN HIS BACK POCKET. Cause we all know Wraith + Instadown = Free kills against bad players.
I don't care if a Wraith tunnels me cause I expect him to atleast lose 3-5 gens doing so, but if he tunnels my teammates and facecamps them i already know its a lost game and i'm just gonna wait till the hatch spawns cause I'm not gonna finish 5 gens alone with 2 bots in my team.
He's the reason I know SBMM is BUSTED, I get paired with bad players so much that even if I unhook them with BT, Guardian and use For the people while they have active DS and me bodyblocking, I only need to do is wait 30 seconds just to see them get hooked back up again.
-
When I'm playing killer i get matched against 1000+ hours survivors day and night, but when I'm playing survivor all i get are crouching players who doesn't know how to loop and dies in the first 10 seconds of chase.
-
Spirit is only top tier because of the Add-ons, Blight is broken due to his add-ons and it should be nerfed, Nurse is just boring to play and deal with due to little to no counterplay other than gen rushing and splitting up.
(If you don't know how to deal with post-nerf Spirit by now then you don't have enough hours in the game.)
