I got used to it, I'm currently gold 1 now...

Kind of over my build.
Are there any builds that people run that are not typically ran on the average Survivor?
If so, what do you run it for? (Healing, Searching Boxes, Running Loops, etc)
Thanks in advance.
Windows of Opportunity, Spine Chill, Resilience and Lithe.
Great in Solo Q since Windows of Opportunity has no cooldown, you can also loop a killer twice in an unsafe pallet if done correctly.

You're still doing the community a service by reporting it nonetheless.

How many escapes do you have out of 4 games?
From experience there is a significant change after at least 3 escapes.
I would say change your build according to the last games you had. use a perk to help you with something you are struggling with.
To get into high MMR i used second chances perks and end game perks to help me get out of there if no one is alive.
3 not gonna lie i'm getting a lot of value from left behind right now, Even if i equp bt they always die, after a minute maximum, and if i have kindred they just all start slowly crouching towards me, this is infuriating, worst part is my legion gameplay is so boring right now, i always get players who doesn't know how to mend, they just hide in lockers. and then they flop after that.

I thought you said you did it without perks, i was wrong. i should have read more.

The let them escape were I acted like they earn the escape, by look at the gate they were opening at range and phase to them at the last moment to hit them. Then they success went through the gate when I was on cool down.
Many matches the first guy died on first hook because other 3 didnt dare to unhook them. Eventhough I stayed afk in an opposite corner for 2min. Crazier thing that other 3 didnt able to heal each other in those 2min.
No match finish more than 3 Gen.
I cant tell if I hate my Trapper being at high MMR and stressful, or Spirit at low MMR and boring. But I really afraid to put other Killers to high MMR like Trapper.
Stop bullying kids dude, that's terrible, i can 4k with legion in that rank without breaking a sweat, and i always win with 4-5 gens left.

I mean, have you ever seen a killer ask for a change to the default gen mechanics, that it should be locked for a set time every time after the survivor progresses 33% on it?
Asking for mechanics to hinder the killer's main objective by forcing them to change their target before completion every time they make a progress (hooking 4 different survivors to death) seems comparable to asking for mechanics to hinder the survivor's main objective(repairing 5 different generators to completion).
And there are perks to achieve somewhat similar results. Killers have Deadlock, and survivors have DS. I don't see why people aren't satisfied just by using those perks to counter opponents' play.
Depends, if you're in SoloQ and are just trying to survive with baby survivors and baby perks its HORRIBLE, but if you're an SWF that has full meta perks, its fine.

How many did you encounter today? Got 3 encounters back to back
Played with a friend from epic games so his MMR is fresh and the matches were just cheaters left and right it's bizarre. That's the new player experience apparently.
i caught a subtle hacker yesterday playing from steam though, he slipped when his hack started to show while he was downed, he could still run away while crawling.
-
its pretty annoying for underwhelming killers though, i was playing against 4 SWF and damn it so hard not to tunnel, they'll juggle the killer the whole map and pressure is near impossible unless you kill 1 or 2 of them early on. Great thing there was the basement though and i was running NOED, never clicky clicky on me ever again.
I got paired with 4 Iridescent player that are atleast higher rank than me, and I'm Iridescent 4...
I still can't understand why would you t-bag in front of pallet in shack when your at the top of the basement.
(it was funnier when they all try to body block me and I get 3 kills for it, the last guy was hilarious had to chase him halfway through the map and as all his friends were dying in basement, he thought he could escape but I WAS RUNNING NO WAY OUT TOO.)
SBMM IS WACK AFTER ONLY 3 MATCHES(THE LAST MATCH ONLY HAD 2 KILLS) I GET PAIRED WITH 4 IRIDESCENT SWF.
-
Thank you everyone, I learned a lot from this.

Never. It is intentional.
DBD is not truly a game and is in fact mind control software created by The Order of the Atlantan Oysters, a black budget secret society founded in the 14th century upon rediscovery of Atlantis and its subterranean kingdoms.
BHVR themselves are all of the order, descendants of the spawn birthed from ancient sex rituals within the bowels of Atlantis itself.
Their goal is to pit survivor and killer gamers against one another, consuming their data and offering it to a wretched monolith they name “The Salty One.”
Why? Well, it’s complicated. As they say in Atlantis:
“Wuh mish-vel e'shua avon-telik na' ish-veh faik”
or crudely translated
”{The} {machine} ðyrs {hungers} hwæðre êower {data}”
The emperor of Atlantis craves Oysters, but it has consumed them all. What we know to be Oysters in our world are in fact flawed genetic replications created by the CIA to prevent total destruction of space time.
This worked…for a time, but the emperor is not so easily fooled.
Long story short, a deal was made. The many secret societies of the world now work in tandem to collect the data of every human. This data is offered to The Salty One, and if accepted, is fed into the Large Hardon Collider, which is actually an A.I. codenamed The Mind-Brain. From there, our data is transformed into pure, genetically perfect Oysters for the Emperor itself.
In exchange, we may all live. What happens once our data is fully assimilated? I do not know. But what I do know is, we must continue to play DBD, no matter how torturous the “devs” make it, no matter how insidious, for the sake of the universe itself, we must soldier on.
That’s what I tell myself anyways.
+1 for creativity

First off, I don't run spine chill, so the only benefit that I might have because of it, is if it saves randoms that I get matched with from dying as fast.
I don't see why spine chill should be nerfed against the one type of killers it's actually good for? Everyone else has a terror radius, so you can tell how far away they are, and if they're getting closer without having spine chill at all. I'd argue that the one thing that spine chill is actually useful for, is exactly stealth killers. If we wanna continue with the same argument, then tinkerer should also block spine chill, no? At that point, the perk does pretty much nothing useful that other perks doesn't do better, and the perk is just completely dead.
I'd argue that it's a somewhat useful perk for newer players, and that it's not even close to OP in any way, and mostly not that great at all for a survivor with a little bit of experience and skill... The focus should never be to nerf advantages that newer/less skilled players may have, it can help them while they're learning the game. The repair speed is never going to have a match-winning impact, and the only other useful part is vault speed that might be able to extend the time that you can loop a killer. With the recent trend of only releasing anti-loop killers, that value is quickly diminishing as well.
And all of this is without even mentioning the fact that as a stealth killer, you can just strafe to survivors so that their spine chills doesn't even go off, and completely negates the one thing you're all complaining about. Honestly, spine chill is used fairly rarily, is super easy to avoid triggering, isn't that great and mostly used by newer/less skilled players. If you can't take 3 seconds to figure out how to avoid triggering spine chill to begin with, don't blame the fact that you are losing games on the perk. The issue is you. Watch some tutorial vids, learn new tricks, learn how to mindgame, how to predict where a player will run, and spend 3 seconds on realizing that you can just turn your view slightly to the side as you're getting close to a survivor and their spine chills won't even activate until you're close enough to get a hit on them.
New players shouldn't rely on crutch perks and shift + w playstyle, they need to learn to play the game just like everyone else, play smart and always be on alert, it only becomes a bad habit in the long run if you teach newbies to rely on perks that supports Shift + W gameplay, like running 36 meters earlier than the killer isn't a crutch,
No spine chill shouldn't be nerfed to the ground just because you think it's wouldn't work against few non meta killer with a very visible white mask, its basically the fault of your team they can't look farther than 10 meters or spot a stalking ghostface in the corner, they're people not headless chickens.
Only few maps are viable for stalking killers, you wouldn't be able to spot a survivor hiding behind a tree on a very huge map without whispers or other aura reading perks and with Spine chill they have a 36 meter heads up much farther than whispers' 32 meters radius and survivor will always spot the killer before the killer can spot them.
and even if the killer doesn't use stealth, the base terror radius is 32 meters, much bigger than Spine Chill's 36 meter, so yes its still viable against most killers. not even accounting for the killer's narrow FOV. they could always run to the next gen on the other side of the map before a killer gets to the gen or hide in the corner and stare at spine chill all day.
No spine chill isn't only for noobs, its abusable in high mmr too, even if it isn't called a meta perk it still is powerful against most killers who uses stealth perks that applies Undetectable, Blindness and Oblivious. worst case scenario is if a killer who only relies on stealth and has a very weak map pressure gets spotted 36 meters away by a random survivor whose spine chill proc for only 1 sec, now the killer has to be on cooldown for 24 sec.
and no Crab walking and slowly turning a corner is very clunky and takes so much time and effort than Shift + W that survivors can do in a split second, not to mention it's extremely high risks and low rewards for killers to stalk on high mmr specially on tight maps, where m1 killers gets crucified on a loop or a safe pallet with little to no line of sights.
what is ghostface supposed to do, slowly and menacingly turn at every corner of the map expecting a survivor to be in there without triggering spine chill? "ooooooh i'm going to have to face this corner i hope there isn't someone who has spine chill, oops too late they already run away from the other side of the wall."
thanks for telling me, now i'm going to teach my Ghostface how to stalk while moon walking, wish me luck, Hee hee.

its technically due to my weak modem security with lowered firewall, i was doing that to lower my ping but now i've changed it, i know it wasn't from the game directly, but i still suspect it might have something to do with ip addresses being leaked lately.
or probably some sort of malware, but my laptop is always up to date so i doubt it.
both of my keyboards are doing fine in the past few hours, and i'm still playing dbd even now.

I would just keep using your second keyboard and see if that issue comes back. If it does then it could be malfunctioning or have keys that are stuck. Especially if you like to grub on or near your laptop... grime can and will build up in places you don't think they would.
no I don't think you got hacked
this never happened with my second keyboard before, and when i unplugged it, it stayed. i haven't done anything with my keyboard though.
and i even had to reset my laptop for it to be fixed, no its not a hardware problem.

Some people gets off on it, so.... as a decent person i pretend not to see it. but imo its weird.

Thanks you very much for giving me feedback, i guess it isn't that great of a suggestion for dbd. 😄

Not gonna lie not very good changes.
1. You mean the time where survs cannot unhook? That's really terrible if so.
2. Caught as in hooked? I usually down and search anyways. Hatch was reworked for a reason.
3. I see no reason for save bps or not or whatever.
- yes and also the hook doesn't have a kill timer so you also can't wait for someone to just die in the hook.
- yes
- but it would have been fun.
-
@lavars said:
I dont really understand by "it doesn't kill them, it's an unhook timer"
@Jeromy137 said:
1. Borrowed time is basically the unhooking timer that you are suggesting
2. The hatch system already got a rework to prevent this kind of game play from happening
3. There shouldn't be a timer on the game because a match can go anywhere between 1minute to 30minutes and it would be unfair to the survivor side especially during a match when a team gets 3 gens side by side
Sorry i miswrote that, i meant that you can't unhook someone for 30/15/5 sec once they've been hooked. and the hook shouldn't have a kill timer. so the killer should have to chase somebody else, its a way of securing someone in the hook for a certain period of time ie. 30/15/5 and also stopping them from being camped. this will also force survivors to not be greedy and going for 4 man escape since there is a cooldown on unhooking someone.
-
there should be atleast one hook per gen, its so hard to run around the map just to get DS'ed or DH and the same trick that got a down won't work twice, there's also too many safe pallets that i tend to waste time destroying just to get a hit, and then there's the COH. worst part is if they already have perfected the loop you'll take an extremely long time just to get a down. worst case scenario they have a flashlight and it will instantly go nowhere.
Preventing gen rushing is impossible, and hooking 1 or 2 survivor without camping = instant loss. it just takes too much time to chase one survivor and there isn't really a way to put pressure now that they can heal twice the speed with COH.
I say if they want to gen rush and still have a fair game without camping or tunneling, eliminate hook timer and implement BT as a survivor passive, but in exchange set the kill switch on the second hook. since everyone and their mothers run DS AND DH, there are too many second chances for survivors to avoid the 3rd hook meanwhile killers can only mess up once to lose all 5 gens.
(perspective of an m1 based killer)
-
I say buff killers first then we'll talk, cause right now this will only make a killer's game way worse than it already is.

Not just killers experience bad behaviour. I got plenty of toxic killers. Also i dont get what behaviour has to do with BP.
Survivors wouldnt get OP just because they get more BP. I mean if killers and Survivors would have sepperate BP, then that statement would be true. Otherwise, you can farm on killer and still be "OP".
Most guys here only see one side. I also presented the overall, the BP system is for both sides not good. Also i said that we should put the categories for everyone (both sides) to 10k, so we have 40k Limit instead of 32k.
I understand too that a power role maybe needs more bp in compensate, but game wise it doesnt make much sense, but for playing killer maybe. But only getting 3k, versus 15k (in the worst case) is just a joke.
Also again, why do killer have a way better BP perk (BBQ) with a much better effect, while survivors dont?
It wouldnt hurt if ALL could get more BP, maybe double BP weekends or just rework the system. I mean why perks have tiers anyway?
Really? like medkits, boon totems and toolboxes aren't enough to make gen rushing a killer's nightmare? do you think chasing only takes a minute and all the killers have to do is hit a survivor and comeback to the gen and pop it? all it takes are decent enough survivor with only few OP perks, tools, and add-ons to end a game in less than 8 minutes, meanwhile killers needs to rank other killers bloodweb, master each different killer abilities while having to deal with a steep learning curve or practice weak killers into viability and having little to no guiding hand to save them from losses since killers have to learn to play the game ALONE against SWF.
if all of that isn't as fun or rewarding i rather play as survivor and do gens cause its less stressful and not as complex.
and right now most weak killers are not good enough to have fun with or be viable for farming and when i'm not having fun i always play The Nurse, with a vengeance. and it will only make the toxicity go full circle. so pay the killer proper bp or you'll only see toxic killers.
-

Sure, but the following perks need the same change:
- A Nurse's Calling
- Barbecue & Chili (the aura reading part)
- Bitter Murmur
- Blood Warden (the aura reading part)
- Claustrophobia
- Coulrophobia
- Deerstalker
- Hex: Blood Favor
- Hex: Retribution (the aura reading part)
- Hex: Undying (the aura reading part)
- I'm All Ears
- Jolt
- Lethal Pursuer
- Nemesis (the aura reading part)
- Overwhelming Presence
- Starstruck
- Unnerving Presence
i'm not seeing any survivor perks in there, are you per chance a tryhard survivor main? just asking...
-
Because BPs isn't worth the pain and stress that killers has to endure every game, and if killers doesn't get paid properly for playing against 4 man team(who has just to press shift+w the whole match and do gens) who also tbags at the gate while their only contribution is spamming the pallets the whole game, Killers would abandon the role and play something else.
I'm not getting paid enough to babysit 4 survivors who doesn't know how to play the game while giving them free exits or having to deal with toxic SWF who tbags at every pallet drop.
Also Survivors will become op if they can bring red add ons every game and it would be heck of unbalance more than it already is.
-

It takes you two seconds to snuff out a totem, while survivors waste 15/25. Just do bones and use the time they wasted on them, nothing hard about that.
it would have been fine if it weren't for the 100% boost towards healing, by the time you find that boon, it would have given survivors enough time to heal the whole team and they'll do it over and over and over and over again. worst thing is there can be 4 of those on the same map. SWF are having a field day at it.

Survivors also have to deal with running around like headless chickens looking for Undying Ruin, can waste 5 minutes not finding it then getting killed by Devour Hope.
Both sides have to deal with problems. If Boons don't fit the way the game works, Hex totems definitely don't, either.
Dude have you seen my post? Survivors don't have to look hard for hex totems they're in plain sight and also has audio cues, and its easier for survivors since there's 4 of you, my hex ruin got instantly cleanse 20 seconds into the match and its not coming back.
meanwhile boon totems can be hard to snuff since you have to chase survivor in 5 different gens and also worry that they'll be able to hide in a corner and heal faster than you can chase them, and if you snuff 1 boon totem, rest assured there's atleast 3 of them waiting for you.

95% of survivors and killers… source?
Boons are fair to me because it prevents me from touching gens or unhooking my teammates while i have to spend time looking for a totem, blessing the totem and then healing. All of that takes time, time off objectives. Time the killer could capitalize on. And if it gets snuffed, i will have to go bless it again, or either not heal/spend more time finding my teammates to heal up if injured. AKA more time off objectives.
You seem to think only killers spend extra time on snuffing, but don’t take into account how survivors also have to go through a series of time consuming notions to get a boon up.
As for why i commented on maybe changing your play style? A survivor in chase can not reliably heal up even with a boon. A bad killer is not gonna end a chase any faster pre-boon implementation and neither will they post-boon. It’s irrelevant.
Will it prolong their chase with IW and DH? sure. But that survivor is sacrificing perk slots to get that added benefit. That to me, is fair.
If your concern is you not being able to capitalize on keeping more survivors injured for snowballing because of boons. That in itself is a play style and strategy. Consider changing it, or don’t.
and that once again results in extreme tunneling and face camping. if you are so insistent towards forcing all killer towards that certain playstyle then i would like you to meet my good ol' friend "Basement Bubba".
also you forgot the amount of time that Killers risk chasing each individual survivor away from gens just to lose all that to a single boon totem. worst case scenario you're playing an m1 killer that capitalizes on survivor's injury ie. Legion, Hag, Wraith.

Even though I think Boons will work with stack or time features.
I Just can feel it like CoH will be like 2/3/4 heals, between all survivors per totem blessed and then you need to bless it again. And to balance for survs they just will add more radius for totens.
lol like having un-snuffable boons on multi-level maps aren't enough.
