Dont yall just get tired of getting matched up with survivors who just hide all game and blend in with the environment instead of doing the objective?

You will love the new Lucky Break! /kappa

  • With Resident Evil I imagine adding a knife that would work as a DS in item form (same rules as current DS). It just fits Resident evil, because you can defend of a zombie with a knife. And yes I am a killer main and still say this.

  • It doesnt matter if the 90 sec reset or not, total of 90 sec being of untrackable means 90 seconds of invulnerability! The person with lucky break can sit on a gen and sprint burst away as soon as the terror radius touches them and the killer will have no clue if they are hidding or sprinted away.

And killers like Nurse and Spirit will be unable to make a second hit on the survivor!

Everyone who thinks that Lucky Break is not a problem is a biased survivor main or is just pretty bad in this game. Every big streamer with 3000-6000h fears of what the perk will become if thats realy how they change it.

  • first of all: yes its not needed. Would be cool if the bonus is only for the object of obession and also only tied to that effect that has a 30 sec cooldown.

Second: The only reason they did is to make the perk have 3 tiers. So bad luck, they will not change it. The best we can do is ask them to make the bonus action speed only go with being an obsession.

  • Why? If you dont want to have contact with the killer why even playing?

    Survivors be like:

Hey dont tunnel or camp the hook!

    But survivor also:

Oh no, he might have BBQ I need to hide so I cant releave my team by being chased for a bit.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Hes hands down the worst killer they’ve ever made. To the point that it had to have been intentional. Gideon meat plant was the writing on the wall, too many survivors complaining so just make it impossible for them to lose now.

Theres no saving this killer. He needs far less recoil considering how many blades it takes, less blades to injure because good luck getting 8 shots in on a map like Lerys, and he needs to move faster while aiming but even then he’s still going to be vastly inferior to Huntress.

They set out what they wanted to do - make a fun killer for the swf bully squads. They seem to be having a blast with this new guy!

changing everything you mentioned at once would just create a busted killer like Freddy who has nearly every mechanic in the game just by him self. I would prefer a few changes at a time and see how he performs

Yep, she was in Saw 1 :) still, I don't think there's a lore-based reason for the roar; I'm pretty sure it's just atmospheric. They do explain the pig mask eventually, at least!

And what is the reason for the mask (if you have time to explain of course)

  • @TapeKnot said:

I'm pretty sure in the first film you heard that roar when Adam or Lawrence got ambushed.

She was in Saw 1? Maybe I watched another movie then...

Killer: man I just... Charlotte, she seems like a kind person who got screwed over by society and I'd take her on a nice date to crawl into her cold, dead heart <3 (and I guess Victor can join but he's eating in a baby chair) Also?? Imagine baking with them and she goes to pick up a spoon and Mr. Gremlin reaches for it instead, that would be fun

Survivor: Definitely Meg!!! She's wifey material, very fast and aggressive we stan. She also seems like she'd be good at braiding my hair which I need because I am awful at braiding my own hair lol

ok... thats enough internet for today.

if you want make it a transfer damage perks, should do it without the wound effect, example

rescuer is injured and the unhooked guy take a hit, the rescuer go down

My guy! did you read the perk? NO! The first sentence answers your complain! Read it again.

i mean if you continually take the bait and hit them and let them go then you're teaching them that it's okay and it's a strat that works. maybe you do what i suggest to a guy and he realizes "oh ######### that was dumb. wont' be doing that again."

also are you incapable of leaving them on the ground if you're scared of eating a ds or what? let me guess what you'll say here:

"b-b-but but but what if they have unbreakable!!!"

okay then they spend time on the ground and use their unbreakable. that's time spent not on a gen. or if they don't have unbreakable then another survivor has to get off of a gen and come get them and that's two people not on gens + the person you're chasing, assuming you're in a chase and all 4 survivors are still alive. this is also assuming they have unbreakable, which is really not THAT common.

What are you talking about? Do you have a monologe with yourself?

By your aggressive and arrogant style of writing I already see that you are a stubborn person who fears that his perk is next that get nerfed and I dont have time or energy to discuss with the kinds of you. Just know this: I am disagree with everything you said and dont want to discuss with you because its wasted time.

you can just follow right behind them for x amount of seconds and then down them again. if someone does that, punish them. it's so simple.

the only change bt needs is to make it range based vs. terror radius.

Not my job to teach the survivors how to behave and downing them after 15seconds does not remove their DS.

The range change is a good change, so killer cant ignore it. But what I suggested is mandatory to prevent a "scummy" way of abusing the invincibility.

  • @Grandpa_Crack_Pipe said:

Count how many times you've seen it: you see someone running to the guy you hooked and you quickly close in, and they pull the dude off. You were already planning on ignoring the dude who just got unhooked, because of BT or DS or ethics or whatever and start running after the unhooker, but the unhooked guy immediately runs into your face and tries to bodyblock you.

Because we can't let that free hit go to waste, can we?

It's dumb. It's real dumb and it makes no sense. I run BT every game because in some situations that's just the only way they're ever going to make it out, even if I have to die for it, but I hate it when I see the guy I just unhooked immediately try to headbutt the killer.

I run that so he won't pay attention to you, dumbass, stop making him wonder if he should just tunnel you to death out of spite.

I say that if the hit counts as a protection hit, it ignores BT and downs them anyway. Maybe with a grace period of a second or two after the unhook, but after that, if you try to bodyblock for your buddy, eat the dirt.

It'll encourage people to split, at least.

Edit: Wowee protection hits are way easier to get than I thought they were. Look down there for some better ideas.

    PERFECT BT REWORK:

Borrowed Time is active as long the survivor is healthy and for 3 sec after being injured, Borrowed Time effect lasts for 10/12/15 sec and transfers the damage done from the unhooked person to the rescuer by applying the Deep Wound status effect to the rescuer.

This will still give BT the true anitunneling effect by protecting the unhooked person but will prevent the unpunished body blocking by alteast transfering the damage. It will prevent the BT train when every unhooked survivor runs to the next hook to unhook the next one because they are injured and their BT deactivates BUT it is still preventing hard camping because BT is active for 3 sec after being injured.

If you're not good, what does that make them exactly for losing to you? I've always found it weird people who rag on their opponents skill level. If you win, and call them trash, so what? That just means you didn't accomplish anything because you only beat 'trash'. If you lose, and call them trash, then you have to be super trash or something. It's poor sportsmanship and kind of dumb imo.

Yes hahaha. When they say "Baby-Killer", then I say: "Then you lost to a baby, what does it make you?"

I don't know how to clip specific pieces of a post to reply to them piecemeal, so I'll just do it sequentially:

Correct. If it's ignorant to play the game as it's intended while being kind to others, then call me the Amazing Ignorant.

True and false, in that order. True, I do want games that are fun for me. In return, I make them fun for others. Reciprocity. False, there are killers who want to play against tryhard teams like that. Granted, they also tend to be those who like to play this game to hurt people, but they exist regardless.

Incorrect. I played killers I was less skilled with repeatedly (probably never going to adept Plague at this rate, smh), without playing killers I was very good with. Unless you count that as "abusing the system," in which case, correct. I also note the fact that you assumed the enjoyable MMR matches were my deranked matches, when I clearly state the deranked matches were against tryhards, and thus deranking did nothing about the level of skill in opponents.

As above, I did, and you misconstrued it somehow, which is hilarious.

I take you, morally, as a quitter. That's why I take you as the kind of person who thinks that abuse that's "out of sight, out of mind" is somehow still okay. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe I'm taking what you're saying the wrong way. I'd still re-open the chat. What you're calling "pride" is having values and standing up for them. I'm allowed to scorn idiots, I fail to see your problem.

Technically this is the only correct answer, tbh. Have an upvote.

I don't know how to clip specific pieces of a post to reply to them piecemeal, so I'll just do it sequentially:

You press on the black symbol on the left side of the window you are typing and then on Quotation mark and then " "Quote ".

You are truly ignorant because you just ignored everything I sayed and exaggerated argument to your favour. Talking to you feels like talking to people in the postgame chat who are just focused on their own point of view and can't accept other opinions. But ok I will try to reply to the mess you wrote. BTW I am a none english speaker, so I dont understand your fancy wording often and dont understand if you called me an idiot, I will slide it for now because I might have missunderstood it, try to write a more simplfied english for people who dont speak it on daily bases.

First, you are just assuming that you know what is fun for others but also want them to make the game fun for you in return. You are very wrong if you think that survivor would ever do anything that harms them and benefits you out of good heart. The correct answer is even: They are not able to do this! Because they cant hold M1 less hard on a gen, they cant just not unhook someone, they cant just not defend themselfs against you. The only thing they can do is not being toxic ingame, thats it.

Second, you are saying that there are killers that want to play against tryhards and that is wrong. I dont say that there are realy ZERO, but take any killer main streamer or me for example, we want to play with skilled survivors with people on our level, but none of us wants to play against sweaty tryhards that would finish the game in 4 min and leaving every teammate on the hook just to escape and make the killer loose. There are 100% not enough crazy-masochistic killers for all those teams that want to ruin the killer.

See! That is your kind of passive aggressive talking, you are like a cobra that twists everything and then tries to poison you. You are speaking so arrogant it pains me to read it. I said originaly:

If I understand correctly you are abusing the current ranking system be deranking on purpose

Like you see I say I am not sure if I understand you correctly, because your style of writing is very strange and difficult to understand. But you go full passiv-aggressive mode and twist it like I am attacking you. All I said: IF you are deranking on purpose just to get easier opponents you are stealing every other killer in the big killer pool the oportunity to play an easier game once in a while. You are not red rank, you think you get often red rank survivor or swf teams, but you dont know how the air smells when you are rank 1! We on rank 1 dont get swfs or tryhards sometimes, we get them all the time! And maybe 1 in 20 games is a game against less skillful survivors and you as experienced killer can tell the rank by seeing the survivor in the chase for 10sec. Thats why red killer dont respect anyone who abuses the derank system just to avoid the tryhard survivors, because if all killers climb down the killer who stay will be forced to catch all those tryhards by them own. Do you know how long queue time for Red Killer is? Its between 5-10sec and I am pretty sure it would be quicker if not the hidden countdown. Do you know how long my queue time on rank 1 survivor is (solo)? 5min before 17o'Clock and 10-20min after 19o'clock. There are not enough killer in red ranks!

As above, I did, and you misconstrued it somehow, which is hilarious.

You are the only person who is misconstructing here! I dont know why you are so aggressive, noone is attacking you, its not the post game chat! But hilarious is how people would project their flawes on other people without seeing them.

Sorry, I dont understand what you are writting at all! Are you calling me a quitter? Like I am DCing? Because from all I told its the most wrong assumption one could ever make about me, and when you watch my post history you would see it very quick. You seem like the guy who would DC the as soon as someone breaks his ruin 30sec into the match.

That's why I take you as the kind of person who thinks that abuse that's "out of sight, out of mind" is somehow still okay. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe I'm taking what you're saying the wrong way.

Also completly wrong. Judging people is not you strong side, I would suggest that you stop doing it in the future, because you are hurting feelings with this. But hey, someone who experienced so much toxicity in the post game chat as you should be better then that? I guess not. From the way you are talking to me you yourself are acting like a bully with no manners.

I'd still re-open the chat. What you're calling "pride" is having values and standing up for them. I'm allowed to scorn idiots, I fail to see your problem.

First: You did not try it. You are just saying stuff with no weight to it. I tell you to try it, then you can return and tell me that you still reopned it. But saying that you still would do it without trying is just showing that you are focused on your own point of view and refuse to broaden your horizon. And the last part, I dont understand if you insulted me or not, but I am bigger then this anyway. If you feel like insulting me go ahead, you are not the first one and for sure not the last one.

    You're misunderstanding something fundamental.

I don't want to be in red ranks, because I don't want to play against red rank players.

The way that people play at red ranks is entirely unappealing--I prefer games where people actually engage with the content, rather than rush past it. It's why I don't give a [BAD WORD] about ranking up besides the achievement.

So why am I still going against players who are above my rank-rated "level in skill"? I don't mind losing, I allowed myself to de-rank to green with no loss of sleep or pride, I just didn't realize that "killer" means "spectator" in five matches of seven regardless of rank.

I notice you ignored the comment about the matchmaking test. You need to validate your opinion, I understand--in return I'll validate mine: Playing against survivors who want fair, challenging games is a beautiful experience. There's nothing wrong with not wanting to drown my chair in sweat for every single win.

By the by, it's not an irrational expectation to think the winning party shouldn't tell the losing party to kill themselves. Closing the chat isn't addressing the problem, it's actively enabling it, and I enjoy talking with the better people of this game far too much to let someone who is clearly in the wrong dictate what I do. That's quitter talk.

You have a very ignorant opinion, you want the game to adapt to your taste without adapting yourself.

don't want to be in red ranks, because I don't want to play against red rank players.

That means you dont want challanging games you want just games that makes fun for you. Every single person playing this game wants to have fun, unfortunatly there are toxic survivors whos fun is to make you not have fun. If every killer can choose noone would want to play against those extremly good survivors, but someone has to.

I don't mind losing, I allowed myself to de-rank to green with no loss of sleep or pride

If I understand correctly you are abusing the current ranking system be deranking on purpose to play in lower ranks where people are less skillful. Did you ever thought about people in lower ranks also dont want a smurfing killer as opponent? You are just focusing what is good for you and you dont think that those "fun" games are very frustrating for the people you are playing against.

I notice you ignored the comment about the matchmaking test.

I did not ignore anything you just did not say anything of value.

I dont know who you think I am, but I am a killer main Rank 1 and I just play any swf team. I have seen more toxic comments, insults, death threats, cheating-accusations and harassment with friend invites and profil spam. What made you think that I think beeing toxic is ok? If you cant handle it just close the chat! The only reason you are not doing it is because of your pride. Just close it for a week and after 1 week think about reopening it or not. The answer will be shocking.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2032843#Comment_2032843

No, No, I tried this myself. At rank twelve I was fairly consistently still going against red ranks who ran toolboxes/Prove Thyself/Streetwise/map offering, finished gens in six minutes or less, and the obligatory "gg ez kill yrslf," at the end from the worst of them.

    Classy.

So, uh when does the OP and I get survivors at our skill level, exactly?

    Never?

Seems like never. S'why I liked the MMR test, personally.

I dont want to hurt your feelings but you and many people here are allergic to losing. Losing a game or 100 games does only one thing it teaches you your mistakes which makes you better in return. By winning games you will not get as many skill as by losing them and recognizing your mistakes. If you are not red rank it means you have room to grow. Just accept it and grow and dont try to secure kills on the hook but try to hunt as much as possible. That is what every good killer main did. If you cant handle the post game chat then turn it off. If someone is toxic to you in the match just hook them when you can and dont hit their body or face camp them just leave them be, show them that you are a bigger person then them.

But again too many people on both sides have egos to big to fit even into Red Forest.

  • I like the idea I read on this forum some time ago:

Iriheads would make you have 5 hatchets, the hatchet dont insta down but every time you hit with a hatchet you get it refunded. Its an amazing concept for good huntress player who dont miss their hatchets.

Jesus Im not saying bring it back to 2017 levels. Just let you replace a brown toolbox with a perk slot. You would NEVER get that off in a chase in red ranks. Especially since you wouldn't have add ons. And a lot of people don't know how or when to heal as is, the primary reason self care is terrible in its current state. How about instead of being a troll trying to poke holes in anything, add something constructive to a discussion about balancing. Theres no need for toxicity rn my guy

Funny. I think you are the troll who tries to balance the game around your own skill instead of play in ranks you belong into or just learn from mistakes and adapt. Perks being baseline is not helpfull at all, you are completly blinded by your own rage from some recent games that you forget what it would do across all ranks and across some of the weaker killers that need any help they can get. So sorry "my guy" you are not seeing the whole picture but just focusing on your own problems.

  • @JasmineDragon said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2024517#Comment_2024517

this was a very old take. If a lot of the more integral perks were basekit (but weak) abilities, it would solve most of the problems. If anyone could 99 themselves to like "stable and ready to be helped up" and then do another bar to then get up, that would solve slugging entirely. Unbreakable would then work for actively wanting to get up, and they could even buff the res increase. Self care is already slow enough that it could almost be basekit. So many people would waste time with it, but it would be an option. The self care perk could then actually be decent again. A lot of people say the same thing about sabo, now that saboing is so weak as is. It would take a long ######### time, and wouldnt last very long, but it would once again, make items feel impactful

Self care was nerfed not to make it basekit and buff it again... you know... It was nerfed because people could heal completly while killer would break 1 pallet. Statements like this make me question how do you even play the game if you need so many supporting wheels!

I recently had a mission to escape as Laurie and I have not spend a single bloodpoint on her and I beat a rank 1 killer, had 31k BP and did better then all other survivor with DS Rank 1 that I did not even use.

Sorry to say, but to the most people here git GUD

you should not need perks to counter toxic behaviour and killers letting 4 survivors bleed out on the ground instead of hooking would be banned in any other game for griefing.

And once again with such a blunt statements you are destroying every credibility. Slugging is not toxic only because you think it is, slugging is a strategy and yes you need a perk to beat it. If you are disliking it take No Mither and you will not be slugged ever again in your life.

I don't DC because for me is encouraging them to do it again to someone else as I feel like they go in hoping someone will DC but I did leave a game with a huntress and a death hatchet addon that slugged all thinking if I DC, she wouldn't get sacrifice points and only points for brutality

    • Killers are now awarded bonus points if a Survivor disconnects (625 Brutality Points)
    • Killers are now awarded sacrifice points if a Survivor leaves the game (1,250 Sacrifice Points)

If you do the same thing, why do you do it?

I do this often. Happened also yesterday to me! There was this Jake who I hooked and people would farm him twice in a row and when I came they stopped healing him and sprint bursted away. So before hooking him the 3rd time I let him get away and continue the game. But at the end I killed all of them. I let him play the game some more and dont lose a pip/ even have some points from my party streamers offering. Being killed by the killer is nothing a survivor should be afraid of when the game was good and I gave that Jake a 4th Hook stage and even tried to go for other people when I had the chance, I do way more nice stuff for random people then random people ever done for me.

People gave up on hooks anyway so no Im not fine for getting to wait few minutes and losing rank not for not my own mistake or my own connection which is great.

    1) Those error happens rarely, if it happenes to you often then its your "great" connection. BTW great internet speed =/= good connection.

    2) You can be a coward and give up on the hook, this alteast wastes about 20sec time of the killer and is more then just DC the moment you are downed the first time

    3) it is unlucky that sometimes innocent people getting falsely screwed by the timeout because of steam/server error, BUT as long as it benefits the community and the game overall its a sacrfice 99% of people with IQ above a brick are willing to make. And like many people said its just 5 min, enough to go to WC and make a tea.

Yea in this game you can get a penalty for steam server crash or just dbd error so yea

SO what? If you are not DCing often its 5 min! If you are DCing often because of your internet connection then get a better one, because you are ruining constantly games for other people and yourself! And if we had no DC penalty people would DC as often as back in the dark ages of DBD. SO I am happy to get a timeout for an error once in a while to that profesional DCer will get their 24h timeouts for being cowards.

Not moaning about the penalty I'm moaning that killers can slug an entire team with no penalty! Oh but as soon as us survivors stop working on gens it ruins everything and devs can ban us!

What are you talking about? With sentences like that you are destroying all credibility in your statements. The killer can do what he wants and if you dont like it take unbreakable, but nooo you want DS and BT and Exhaustion perk and SpineChill, you dont want to killer to slug but without doing something against it.

    SLUGging

Make Unbreakable base, rework unbreakable completely. This isn't unfair, killers shouldn't get rewarded for slugging.

    Camping

This might be really OP and unfair but it's just an idea. Why not make it so where you have a 100% unhook chance if the killer is within 12 meters. This effect will take place after 30 seconds after being hooked.

    Tunnelling

    Borrowed time

    Slugging

No, happenes only to bad players, because they think its a great idea to stack together against a snowball killer. No change needed just time for people who are bad in this game to adapt and get better. Basekit unbreakable is never going to happen, no point even trying. Every slugging is your own fault and 100% avoidable in any case.

    Camping

Briliant idea! What happenes after that? The killer hits you and hooks you? No. Camping during the match is a unvaluable stategy and should be punished by genrushing. The only think that is "ok" being basekit is kindred so solos know that they can do gens in peace.

    Tunnelling

    BT is already a thing.

  • Enjoy your timeout then! There is no DC without penalty and no reason for DC. You could just alt+tab out and watch a 4min clip or do some situps. Being butthurt does nothing, you just gave the killer DC bonus and punished yourself, #bigbrainmove

  • The game is about doing 5 gens or killing 4 people, anything that alters it: maps, moris and map offerings should not be in the game because they are breaking the whole purpose.

I was thinking that it could be interesting to have a survivor perk tied to the killers red stain, but specifically it notifies you when you are within striking range of the killer in a chase (such as the stain changes to yellow) but only on your own screen. I imagine it would also have a cooldown. Thoughts?

I dont know if you knew or not, but if you see the red stain on the back of your survivor you ARE in striking range, so no perk needed.

  • I read "The Gay" first and was a little worried.

  • Remove Mori Offering from the game completly istead allow killer, when he brings the person to the hook at his 3rd stage, to descide if he wants to hook or to mori the person for segnificant boost in BP.

This way we could see moris more often without them affecting the gameplay at all + give some extra BP for wasting time during the animation.

Do I think this is okay? ... A solid maybe.

Do I want to use it? Hell yeah.

Do I want to play against it? That's what Keys are for, yeah? Also, unless the Killer gets 4 unique hooks before EGC, it becomes almost useless.

Also consider how ######### totem spawns tend to be.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2021272#Comment_2021272

The timer functions as normal. Nothing is changed about the EGC timer.

I am Rank 1 killer and 50% of my games with nurse or billy (my mains) are ending with 4-5 gens remaining, 90% of my games are ending with atleast 1 gen remaining. I dont use any totem perks and I dont use any Moris or NOED, I never dodge SWF teams. DO you think that it is fair that someone like me has this perk? Do you think its cool that if people who are playing against me forgot to bring a key will 100% lose? I see that you are trolling or if not you must be just 12(?) years old. I would like to tell you how wrong you are BUT on people like you its wasted time and Devs dont listen to good ideas they sure as hell will not listen to such bs.

It's a-me, Dario, back at it again with another wacky perk concept!

This time, we got a perk that would be really nasty to play against!

"A hex rooting its power on bloodlust.

-For each unique Survivor hooked, Hex: Death Spiral gains a token, to a maximum of 2/3/4 tokens.

-When the Exit Gates are opened, the exits are blocked for 30 seconds for each token on Hex: Death Spiral at the time the gates are opened.

-Cleansing the associated Hex Totem opens the exits, even if the totem is salvaged by another effect."

I know, this perk is ridiculously powerful, but it isn't without counterplay.

Keys, for one, negate the effect entirely, and cleansing it after the gates open is another bit that works.

I don't know how healthy this would be, since the Killer could potentially camp the totem and force an EGC like Blood Warden, but hey. This is a concept, after all.

    Edit: Spelling

so if I hook 4 survivor in the match I can wait for them to open the gates because with 4 tokens I have 2 minutes which is exact Colapse timer so they cant win no matter what? Do you really thing it ok? Do you really want to use it? Or play agaisnt?

1 2 3 4 … 7
