I use Spine Chill a lot. I also use a lot of stealth killers.
Spine Chill is fine.

Not exactly. It just tells you when he's teleporting. It doesn't tell you where.
I agree, though, even though that's his only action that has an excuse, I think it shouldn't be there.
If the teleporting was it's ONLY global sound queue, nobody would really complain. If the others were a proxomity thing, let's say 40m (same as Huntress), then it wouldn't be global and also keep that "monster" feel that was originally intended.
I'll admit that I've never played Demo, but with my experience as a Pig main, his kit seems very decent.

Her ability isn't that hard to use, I say that as someone who mained hag before her rework. People really over exaggerate how much skill she takes in my opinion..
It's not about her skill cap, it's more the free hooks because traps and hooks. Same as Spirit standing still and getting free hits.
-
Pig. I enter a trial to test.
Not just myself, but the survivors that I face. I test their resolve and their ability in equal measure. If they die, then they are found wanting.

I put down Hag for the most oppressive, because Spirit is only oppressive in a chase and everyone is going to vote for her.
I foresee that all the strong killer bandwagoners are going to jump straight onto Hag, as a few videos and a small number of games are going to be required to get used to her power unlike Nurse who requires months of dedication. Also, her sheer ability to hook-camp via proxy is just ridiculous. Place 3-5 traps at their feet and wonder why people complain about you!
People can complain all they want, but my frustrations are experienced a lot and especially by newer killers.

He does get Undetectable when entering the Upside Down, and for 2 seconds after leaving it.
Yeah, AFTER a global sound queue to tell you that he's teleported! Kinda cancels out that.

"too oppressive"
isn't the point of having survivors.. to stress them out? is that not the theme of the game?
so how can something be too much of what you're trying to achieve
Do you, when you find out who the killer is feel like there is a chance of escape outside of a hatch?
If yes, then they're probably fine.
If no, they are too oppressive.

I don't understand why people can pillage keys though. Like at least Devour requires you to do something and can be shut off at any time for the mori effect, keys just, they just happen to appear in that chest then if you find the hatch there is 0 counterplay to your escape
The counterplay with keys is that there has to be a significant amount of progress done to their objective, as in [living survivors+1] generators complete. Then finding the hatch with no audio queue.
Also, tunnelling is still tunnelling. Yes, survivors overuse that term, but being legitimately tunnelled out of a game is deeply frustrating.
-
The good one. Cool.
-
I'm just a nice killer. If someone DC's, then I give another the hatch. If I get you ling after hook, I'll will leave you there so you can try again and YOU WILL F*CKING LEARN TO PLAY THIS GAME!
But that's just me. I'm here to test survivors.
-
I've said quite a few times that removing, or lowing them would make Demo quite a strong killer. He has the kit, but those audio queues always tell survivors that they're safe.
In my "Fixing EVERY Killer" discussion, it was the one thing that I said to improve him.
-
Slashstreet is indeed correct. It adds 8m of range to the generator repair audio.
Severely underrated part of the perk.

Depends when trap was put on. If you have a trap and a generator has not been completed then the trap is inactive. An inactive trap is just an ugly cosmetic.
If you have a trap on and a generator is completed, your trap is now active.
You can tell by the clock around your name. White clock = no threat. Red clock = worry.
As far as exit gates, if your trap is active and you try to escape you die. Not sure about hatch though.
If you have an inactive trap, feel free to butt dance and gesture at the piggy befire moonwalking put the exit.
What do you MEAN ugly? The reverse bear trap is a beautiful piece of engineering!

If beeping, no. Only through hatch.
If no beeping, yes. Be free!

Don't strictly use it for vault speed. I run Resilience, Spine Chill, Lithe and Self-Care.
Spine Chill for detection, Resilience for speeds while injured because if you aren't getting hit, the killer is trash or using a chainsaw, Lithe because exhaustion perk and Self-Care to heal up and 99 the heals for Resilience.

Leatherface could be considered OP though, that chainsaw is a one hit and pure BS. yes I know you have to know how to use it but when he can down two people with one attack it's insane. there should be a limit on that.
He's more annoying than scary or OP. Literally nothing outside of the chase and with his saw, which is probably why I hate him.
As a Pig main, Hillbilly and Leatherface are the antithesis of everything I love about Pig: they're loud and obnoxious, base kit instant-down power and all of their special extra functions are tied to said SINGLE power. I have stealth, map pressure through paranoia and anti-loop potential all in different "sub-powers", since Crouch, Ambush and the RBT are basically 3 separate powers.

Well, knowing which of those loops are safe and how to use them. And having 3 other people who will actually sit on a generator, which from experience is harder to find than organising a Destiny 2 Raid Team.

Replace RBT with Jigsaw Boxes seeing that the boxes are where you get the skillchecks on
Newer players (should be) more concerned about hitting skillchecks not overall progress... so the increase missed skillcheck penalty shouldn't matter (as much)
I do agree that the stealth aspect of the perk should've been the thing to be buffed but (whataboutism) then Surveillance should receive the same sort of change
Also from my experience survivors (myself included) run away from a missed skillcheck about 75% of the time for fear of getting the killers attention and getting hooked in the early to mid game... So I feel like Technician would be viable
And everyone misses some sort of skillcheck... so even more good thing the new Technician will do
I'd be perfectly happy with a slight increase to the range for Surveillance and Technician. Not only are they severely underappreciated parts of those perks, but they offer something outside of the norm of just stat increases or auras.
-
Amanda was a junkie. Smart people generally don't do that.
-
Both have their own stresses. Killers it is more prominent, in that you always have to be going 100% all the time, where as in survivor you have to worry about if people will actually help you and limited resource management within items.

Right, right. Remind me how being a holier-than-thou champion of preaching on forums is “pushing back” against “bullying”?
If people saying mean words to you on the Internet because they dislike your opinions on a video game is the type of bullying you feel the need to take a stand against... that’s honestly sad. Take a stand against real bullies, friendo.
You know what? People like you are never going to learn or listen. Just keep going with your own personal bias.

You say I’m usually going to be wrong about stereotypes, but at the same time you’re satisfying my stereotype of Pig players: Sick with a raging superiority complex.
Sorry champ, but every single post from you is either condescending as all hell towards Killers from an obviously Survivor-biased perspective, or annoyingly preaching that everyone should be respectful when you’re not exactly a shining beacon of chivalry yourself.
I’ve had time to develop an opinion of you, and everything I’ve seen from you is something that fosters a lack of respect. Just saying.
Nice cherry picking then.
I call out stuff on both sides. I just come across killers complaining way more on here. And no superiority complex, just an ex-bullying victim who now pushes back just as hard.

I don’t see any civility and respect. All I see is a high horse.
And all I see from you is a snivelling little coward who has to rely on belittling people in order to silence them rather than actually try to promote any sort of meaningful change around here. Every interaction that I have had with you has not done anything to dissuade me from that.
I never tell anyone to be like me, all I say is that I don't want what has happened to me to happen to anyone else. I try to be reasonable, then people like you come along.

See I’d believe you if this weren’t DBD. But in DBD, stereotypes ring truer than in any other medium I’ve ever come across.
Killers who run NOED are always bad. Deathslingers are always sweatier than a 300-pound middle schooler during a gym class fitness test. Bills always have some of the smoothest brains in the game. Survivors who run Soul Guard always love it when the Killer doesn’t have fun. 100% of the time.
And Survivors who would ever willingly run DS+UB are some of the biggest sweatlords, whiny as hell, and have very fragile egos. I have no inclination to think you’re the exception.
Every post, every comment, every IDEA I have shared should have proven otherwise when it comes to me.
Or would you rather hear it directly from my mouth instead?

It’s Behaviour’s game.
They can do whatever they want with it.
Yet, it’s mind-boggling how much they really absolutely DO actually listen to the players, and have given so much, and put forth so much effort to try and cater to everyone, and minimal credit goes their direction, for anything.
Instead, there is comment after comment festering with negativity, pouring from the mouths of some people who sound-off in entitled tones, often abusively demanding they get whatever they want, however they want, whenever they want it, behaving like a bunch of little Veruca Salts.
There’s so much chaos and nonsense in the world that we all have to deal with in some form or another, and people are bickering and complaining about Pop Goes the Weasel and Decisive Strike!? That’s just kinda sad.
Be thankful you get to play games and have the gear to do so on, and a house to game in and people to game with, not to mention the developers you have, who are putting their very souls into creating for you what it is you refuse to stop playing everyday of your lives.
All the whining sounds like a bunch of Hollywood celebrity snobs who have SO much and still grudge about not getting every last morsel from Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory, then the keys to the factory, itself, and every last item on all their childhood lists to Santa.
Life goes pretty fast, it’s not worth it to live shrouded in fussing and toxicity.
We have to snap out of this selfishness and bickering, already.
We’re better than this.
Pro gamers show love and empathy to their fellow gamers and respect each other and the creators who gave them the opportunity to game their fav games.
I can’t be the only one who can play DBD contently, and legit have fun.
I just know I’m not the only one.
You're not.

Atleast get paid to defend the company that makes millions of dollars, don't play yourself man.
I don't personally attack the devs on an individual basis and i don't see it that often besides what's happened with Almo it's not that often that people attack individuals in the company but the company itself is fair game and the nameless higher ups are usually in charge of what takes priority anyway which is what i direct some of my frustrations with the game at.
I get that and I do also have my criticisms with companies like Games Workshop, but I don't belittle every employee who talks to anyone. Games Workshop are deliberately trying to screw people out of their money, where as bHVR are trying to balance two separate games competing against each other at the same time and dealing with the most entitled community I have ever seen.
That and I've been where Almo is right now. It feels horrible, and I never wish it for anyone. I'm just trying to be the support and helping hand I wish I had when I needed it.
I don't expect you, or anyone, to understand. It's not about the company or their decisions. It's about the people behind them that we're dealing with and how we go about them.

There have been many threads and suggestions on how to fix Pyramid head without making him Z tier, but the only thing they looked at was WAAAAAAAH no counterplay and nerfed that without looking at why nobody uses his power outside of animation locks.
We have had hundreds to thousands of posts abut OoO abuse with swf and DS being unfair (it is needed but not as anti momentum) but they nerf a perk that only someone in green ranks would ever complain about.
People are frustrated, and have given up being constructive.

Yeah, I’m sure it’s because all that ever happens is you get tunneled (pronounced “the Killer downed you more than once in a single match”) off the hook and hardcore slugged (pronounced “the Killer didn’t pick you up 0.2 seconds after downing you). I’m sure that’s the only reason you run a Perk combo that gives you 60 seconds of literal invincibility. Totally.
Meanwhile I can’t remember the last time I got hit by Decisive when I was actually tunneling or hadn’t already hooked someone else.
You mind NOT insulting me blindly and assuming I'm like the other people on these forums?
I only re-equip Decisive Strike after I have genuinely been tunnelled. And I do mean that I am the only one hooked for 2-3 hooks in a row.
You do not know me. Do not act like it.

No matter how you rank her as a killer, no one can argue her add-ons need lovin badly. Most do not help her where she needs it most, in chase and traversing the map. A couple outright hurt her, and can teach bad habits which lean towards a tunneling gameplay as well.
Oh, absolutely. And if I was making a tier list based on add-on strength, Pig would be the weakest of the lot.
As it stands though, I am content with using the current pool if Pig's add-ons are a priority. There are still a functional few and I would also like to try an indoor map like The Game with Amanda's Letter and the Video Tape going for a pure ambush set-up.

It also has no counterplay that's why people call it toxic. When certain perks get used in combination it creates toxic effects that can't be countered. I.E Small Pepe build
Some perks are fine by themselves, but get stronger with others, while others are inherently broken or strong. Than get worse with other builds.
DS is a good example of a perk that depending on player skill level can be polarizing and busted or useless. While it's also an example of a toxic perk that needs a rework. Nothing quite like someone spamming locker vaults or doing well as killer and still getting hit by a DS 1 or 2 hooks later. The way its been set up is not a anti tunnel perk, but a get out of jail free card.
Well, it had no counterplay in THAT scenario. If you did that to me, you'd get a "You cheeky little sh*t, well done." and that'd be that.
But the problem with DS and UB is that they counter the two worst aspects of killer gameplay: tunnelling and 4-man slugging as of current. People have just been creative with a situation they were technically forced into. It has now spilled over into killers who are doing nothing "wrong" with their games and that is an issue but I think that looking into the "how did we get here" is more important than the result.
It's like science. Find what causes the situation and work from there. Backtrack until you can't any more.
