No it isn't. You're trying to brag in order to give your opinion some fictional weight.
It's important to have information about certain topics before passing judgement. Different ranks also have different metas, surprisingly. People have also had different experiences, as I for one have versed more Hillbilly players than people have actual SWF hit-squads, or claim to have on these forums anyway.

Do you want to hear opinions on game balance from people playing at rank 10, or rank 1? When the developers themselves have stated rank 1 is easy to get.
And hearing from all ranks is important to me on this issue, because my killer rank has slipped quite far lately and kicking a generator for me helps a lot. But like I said, I also run Surveillance.
Different ranks have different issues and I wanted to see how they all felt about this topic.

I actually find it to be fine as a map. Even if it is harder to blend in.
Blendettes hate the map, as they can't just crouch in a corner and be undetected. The jungle gyms aren't that bad and it's still a smaller map than Mother's Dwelling. Cover is also pretty scarce on a good portion of the map, so running isn't a permanent option unless I'm missing something major.
I've also never seen snow IRL, so I can't say as a visual, but the fact that it isn't blanketed like some snow settings would have is nice.
-
.......... Make it harder for me to identify the killer at the start of the match. The scariest matches for me are the ones where it's been 5 minutes, two generators are complete and I have ZERO CLUE as to who the killer is.
So, I guess buff Stealth killers?
-
The only time a key has helped anyone in MY matches is when I've already closed hatch!

That's fair if you don't like Billy. And Idk, people enjoy killers that want to interact with the game more, despite ones like Spirit and Hag being really strong. Not very fun to win every game for free with Spirit all the time.
And when you say the killer who "genuinely needs a nerf" are you talking about Spirit or Hag or do you think that Billy still needs another one?
I am actually talking about Spirit this time. If you want, I can make an in-depth look into how Survivor is largely an information game and how Spirit's entire power is "remove information, minimal downsides", but is both a lot of effort and hate to receive. My Hillbilly one proved that.
Hag is more of a QoL change, and a wish list. Things like adding a hook-distance requirement so she can't trap-camp or adding a delay between teleports and attacks. I can live without, but I won't cry if I don't.
As for Billy, he's fine. My only problem ever with him was people using the saw more than I use expletives in general speech. And as an Australian, all I can say is that it's a fark'n sheitload.

If you're planning on chasing somebody with a reverse bear trap whilst crouched just to get a kill you're really inefficient.
Even with tampered timer it is legitimately more efficient to just camp them on hook and tunnel them if they get off it than it is for you to follow them around with a reverse bear trap crouching
Oh, please. If I WANTED to get RBT kills, I'd use a Red Forest offering with Timer and Gears/Plan.
I just know of people who have done it before, and had it happen to one of my brothers once.

@KingOfBadRNG I don't think PC players are superior. I have consoles and a PC and I like playing on both. I'm saying that in Dead by Daylight, which I happen to play on the PC, I have noticed that since crossplay has been introduced disconnects on FIRST HOOK have increased and on ALMOST EVERY SINGLE ONE of those instances (I am not exaggerating) the little crossplay symbol has been next to the d/cer's name. I have no reason to make this up.
@PigMainClaudette yeah I wouldn't mind if it seemed to be random, but I can't see it being a coincidence that it's when the player is first hooked by the killer, especially when it's early on in the game.
Well, I've had crashes 3 seconds into the game, so on hook or after a down is more obvious than an Imposter accusation in Among Us.

Trap Time pauses in chase .... you start a chase by running while pig looks at you just sayin.
Not if she crouched! Can't trigger a chase while she's Undetectable.
-
Yeah, so, as an Xbox player I've seen nothing by DC's from every other platform since Cross-play. It isn't a console exclusive thing.
There also might be an issue with the game actually crashing, like I am experiencing currently.

And sometimes its my blendette ass sitting on the gen while a killer loops a survivor 2 meters away and not looking.
I wouldn't be surprised if some of the complaints are killers inflicted with oblivious themselves, though i may be a bit skewed being someone who tracks survivors by their breathing when they're hiding.
Been there. Generator repair noises: Exist.
Killers: "Imma ignore that!"
-
Playing for fun.............?
I thought that was illegal!
In all seriousness though, it's good to see more people just taking a breather and just remembering that games are about enjoyment. Yes, I want to get pips and rank up, but I won't loose any sleep at night if I don't.
-
Nobody does anything with an active trap, except try to remove it. Even an overwhelming majority of INACTIVE traps basically ignore everything!
And RS.2 is one of what I call the "Detrimental" add-ons for Pig. Good survivors will gravitate towards a generator to reveal the box auras or the generator will finish before they are unhooked.

Hillbilly hasn't been fun since all the garbage they did to him. The new animations and camera, the stupid roar that drowns out every other noise at a point where you might actually need to hear footsteps of you're curving around a corner for example, and it's just plain annoying now anyway...yea Billy isn't fun at all now, he's a joke and feels like he's a new killer in beta with features that are unpolished.
Spirit and hag are kind of self-explanatory. One dimensional strategies, neither care about actually interacting with the game and with survivors and would rather do their own thing etc...
Well, Hillbilly has NEVER been fun for me. Accidental cross-map snipes aside, of course. There is nothing funnier than having a Kate randomly run right in front of you, or a Dwight in a bush be in the middle of your chainsaw path.
I thought it was just interesting that 2 of my 3 most hated killers, and the only one that I think genuinely needs a nerf are actually amongst the lowest rated in terms of "fun" according to the community. And have been since the start of this thread when I made my first remark about the absence of particular killers.
-
PIPS highest priority
Healing (self above others)
Saves/Gens equal
Totems/Distraction are lower priority.
I tend to play a bit selfishly, but often go for saves where possible. Stealth is my go-to strategy. I'll do a totem if I see one, but I won't go out of my way to hunt them anymore since over and over people have proven how unwilling they are to do them.
-
Surveillance on stealth killers. Never underestimate the power of the kick in the slow game.

The problem is, the ones who are the loudest usually drown out the voices of reasons. There have been many times I've had an opinion on something, and instantly get called a survivor/killer main because of it. I play both sides pretty much equally, but when your opinion doesn't match their own, you're a main of some sort. I just try avoid going near those kinds of posts now. You can't just have a civil discussion with some people anymore.
Haven't had a thread like that before.......

Humanity is a disease
As a liquor retailer, all I can say is this:
"Individually, humanity is quite smart. When put into larger groups, this disappears almost immediately where the loudest are usually the dumbest."
-
I do what I can, but we are talking about humanity here.
-
Spine Chill helps prevent a chase from occurring and gives you vault speed.
Iron Will helps escapes IF you have LoS blocking terrain.
I personally prefer Spine Chill as it also helps deal with stealth killers.

@MusicNerd_TC said:
Also, can we stopped invalidating someones opinion if they main one side? I've seen people get shut down just for being a survivor main, it's dumb.
Maining one side isn't the issue. It's more when you basically exclusively play one side and don't consider the other side in opinions and posts.
I play way more survivor than killer lately, but I at least understand their plights.

Both sides complain like they're small children. Both sides need to grow up, ad quickly.

Tunneling a surv with a hat is a terrible strat imo, but the vast majority of her add-ons are partly to blame as those do not help her track, move, or in looping, but only affect the hats and boxes, and poorly might I add.
Anyone playing Pig long enough should outgrow this tactic, however she soooooo needs an overhaul of most of her add-ons.
Agreed. I could actually make a list if how a portion of them actively HARM the Pig using them.

Yeah, I don't have this issue. Instead the game crashed until I bought the Descend Beyond bundle (on Xbox btdubbs). And I always get put up against RANK 1 KILLERS when I'm here trying to "maintain" my low-red/high-purple rating with survivors all purple or even green.
WELL NFM THEN, MY GAME CRASHED AGAIN!

Wouldn't know. Nobody has used him against me yet.
My guess though is that you have to play him differently to PC. Mainly using the power for map traversal rather than a chase tool.

Old Freddy was hot garbage, and as an Australian I know a thing or two about hot.
New Freddy is FINE.
As for the BT change, I'm all for it as rhe killers it needs to be used on, it can't be currently. Low-ranking camper Wraiths need SOMETHING to stop them.

Yeah I see that a lot in my survivor games aswell. I'm a rank three surv so low red and I get teamed with yellows, greens or purples. With a rank 1 killer.
It's why I'm now on a smurf until my main's rank drops back down to about green. I hate it in red now. Rank 1 killers are just disgusting to go against as a casual player.
Before cross-play was implemented, I was getting relatively good games. About what you'd expect, even if the killer wasn't red ranks. Now? PC tryhard sweats all around! Nothing but god-aim Huntresses and Infectious Fright Instant-down slug killers as far as the eye can see!
-

It's a combination of things for the RBT tunnelling.
- Specific add-ond give penalties to trapped survivors, encouraging the Pig to go after said weak links.
- They are almost always in a predictable location. There are usually only four boxes on the map, so that's where the survivor will tend to go towards.
- Majority of the time, these players will be INJURED and therefore easy to pick off.
GOOD Pig players will realise that, while yes these things are true, they will not work on a generator. They are effectively now removed from the match for all purposes of who to target.
-
I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO THINKS THIS WAY!

Well its obvious when you look at it I bet people will still try to prove my observation wrong.
Yes swf games can go extremely fast that's why my swf and I dont really do gens we die alot because of that but it's mostly us trying to get chased. This helps our bp and emblems significantly so that's cool.
Yeah that swf straw man is annoying like I get it sometimes swf can be strong but it doesnt mean that's the reason you lost.
Trapper and pig dont have 4v1 chase powers that's why they aren't optimal. Pig has a game slow power but it isnt good enough to do much while trapper technically has somewhat of a chase power it's still more of a waiting game type of thing and hope they fall in.
Well, "chase" powet is a subjective term in this instance. My point t was that they have powers that take the attention of multiple survivors.
Trapper does this with careful placement, and it CAN be incredibly helpful in a chase. You can also lead people into trapped areas. Hag is in a similar boat, yet is amongst the top of people's power ratings.
Pig, for the purpose of my comparison here, has 3 powers. Ambush can be interpreted as a chase power, but is more of a 1v1. Pig's 4v1 comes from an RBT effectively removing a survivor from the game and them now dedicating themselves to removing the RBT applied to them.
Just because a power isn't strictly useful in a chase, it doesn't make it necessarily a bad power.
-
You can actually bait the shock and ditch the Doctor. He is slowed a bit while shocking.
-
You're right. And that's weird for me to say because I normally disagree with you.
Something that I have personally experienced in SWF though is that the generators go faster, which means I can't get invested into a match but I also do far worse according to the Emblem system because I don't have time to get my hands into every part if the game as I normally do as a solo.
Killers do also straw-man the "SWF squad" as how they got completely smashed. Sometimes a group of random is just efficient! I have done it myself, but all 4 of them being 11-12 was kind of a good indication.
By the logic of the 4v1, Trapper should be somewhat optimal as he can occupy multiple survivors at once. Same with Pig. Yet they are commonly seen at the bottom of people's power ratings.

Scummy is designed by the community. Not the devs.
Killers have one role - please the entity by killing the survivors. That is their entire objective and purpose for existing. It's even in their name. "Killer". Doing their objective is scummy.
Just like survivors have one objective - survive by repairing generators. Then they get called "toxic" for "genrushing" - aka doing their objective.
These community definitions for "scummy" are a joke.
You can still appease the Entity enough to rank up with zero kills.
Can you do it at Red Ranks? Probably not

"Behavior said Billy was the most balanced killer"
They never said this. This was said by the community, but since 2017. A lot has changed since then.
They did say it, but they never stated WHY that was the case.
They would have been going off emblems more than kills. With as many Billy players over-relying on his saw for downs, his Chaser emblem would have been far lower resulting in high kills, but average emblems. "Balance".

That'd be pretty weak for an Ultra Rare.
I think they should make Tampered Timer an Ultra Rare.
Tampered Timer increases the time by 30 seconds (instead of decreasing it)
But then the survivor must search ALL four boxes to find the key.
The point if it being a TAMPERED TIMER is that it ticks down faster. And is just the timer.
I'm also not a fan of having the RBT's apply status effects, and while these changes are nice, I still don't like effects like Exhausted or Mangled on the RBT's.
Shotgun Collars and Death Masks also seem a bit off to me. One note of contention that I have is "What if BOTH add-ons are equipped at the same time?
