She is strong, not OP.
Otherwise you would only see nurses everywhere.
Sure she can ignore basic loops, but when you use line of sights you'll make it harder for her.
You have to finally work to be able to escape instead of mindlessly loop a killer in the same way again, and again, and again, and again.
Now you really need to get in the head of the killer and force her to make mistakes.
Your reasoning sounds good but in reality it is pretty flawed.
You base your findings on what you've seen from someone else.
Someone who play a lot of nurse (from my understanding as I don't know that person), so yeah you can expect him to have only a 3% escape rate with nurse.
What do you think when you face me for example when I play wraith?
You get about the same percentage of escape rate.
Why?
Because I play that killer a lot and understand how to play him optimale and how to use his powers in the best way.
Even deathsquads have a very very hard time against me and most of the time don't even escape.
Does that make wraith also OP?
Nope not close, just because a person spent time learning a certain killer to use optimale, doesn't mean that that killer is suddenly OP.
It is normal that you have a very small chance to escape when you face a person who plays that killer a lot and is actually really good with that killer.
So getting to the point of it all, nurse doesn't need a rework of her powers or need a nerf.
Difference is a good survivor can loop a good wraith. Same does not apply to nurse

Hasn't been changed much? Let's see here...she doesn't have 3 blinks basekit anymore does she? She's not 115% speed anymore is she? She has two cooldowns now doesn't she? How has she barely been changed? She's had the most changes out of every killer.
I meant more How she went from being the best killer in the game to the best killer in the game after her nerfs.
she still breaks the game and has no effective counterplay
-
Complaining about gen rush is like complaining about a killer slugging. Both are necessary to win in high ranks

I also never use them. I fell into the trap of wanting them every trial and panic-quit before it became an addiction and I started genuinely crutching on them.
Only perk I crutch on is bond. Can’t play solo without it

Yeah, that is pretty much it. That is why going against an intermediate / casual Nurse is one of the best things in the game, imo. She gets her blinks, you get your jukes, and everyone is happy :)
I still hate it personally since I loving looping tiles while nurse just says nope and goes through it

I mean, she used to have 3 blinks base and through addons she could get 6 blinks. And there was no recharge. And she used to be a little faster than the survivors when walking. She's not nearly as strong as she used to be.
I can understand wanting her reworked, but as it stands, Nurse is still the only killer that can win no regardless of how well survivors play. Taking away the one killer that can do that, would cause a riot.
Tbf nurse has went from being S tier to being S tier after all those nerfs
-
That is the major issue with spirit. But her difficulty is also an issue since you’re getting all the reward of an S tier killer without having to learn her.
Most people want her to have a tell so they can actually react and try some form of counterplay before they just die.

You do realize Nurse wasn't designed around current dbd, right? Nurse was made when we still had insta-heals, instant generators, pallet vacuum, no entity blockers, infinite loops (which are returning with breakable walls), double pallet tiles, fast vaulting from any angle, amongst other issues. If you look at how ridiculous the game was when she was created, her design is fine because there was a stupid amount of resources for survivors. Is she unbalanced for current dbd, maybe. But considering how strong swf is, I don't think she should be changed until swf is addressed.
That’s why I want her reworked. She’s a relic of the past like insta heals or old toolboxes but unlike those two she hasn’t really been changed too much
-

Or they could rework the unecessary and extremely strong mechanic that kind of ######### up the balance of the game by providing free distance and basically making survivors shoot themselves in the foot by not bringing them because they're so ######### ridiculous.
As someone who never uses exhaustion perks you’re pretty much right.
Ill be hit by pig toxin, huntress toxin, blood echo and mindbreaker and it doesn’t matter
-
Tbh most the challenges specific to one killer aren’t very difficult. The only one I had issue with was the 20m hatchet hit
-
Nurse is the single worst designed killer in the game. Not even twins or spirit can compare because they still have to play the basic pallet/ window looping game
Nurse just ignores everything
-
Nurse. Every nurse match I have played in the past 2 months has been a 4k
-
And remove one of his most fun aspects? Body blocking with wraith is great

Then you haven't been looking very hard. Otzdarva finally opened his communities eyes to how strong she is. I was so happy when everyone came in a few weeks (months?) back and started asking for Plague advice because they saw what she could do.
And no, tracking perks don't help more than, say, Ruin/Undying. It doesn't matter how good you are, strong perks are strong perks and no perks are banned, so... Nurse is pretty damn easy compared to Blight, Oni, Huntress, Plague, Bubba, Billy, even Hag...
Tbf tracking is one of nurses “weaknesses” so having 1 tracking perk never hurts.
I know from my experience in solo and SWF that the few good plagues I’ve fought have absolutely decimated the team. Same applies to nurse but plague does still have to play the game normally
-
Yeah they could do with more focus on the balance. These visual map reworks are the perfect time to balance these maps better too

Which is exactly why he was bullied by even rank 20s, and why the average player steered away from him.
Do you need to see videos of old Freddy struggling to get anything done to remind you why this rework was praised originally?
Yeah but now he’s just a boring jack of all trades killer. He had more unique aspects before and it’s clear the devs are struggling to balance new Freddy anyway

A shame survivor mains are not constantly making points crying about the issue and instead choose to swarm the forum in "WAHH I GOT CAMPED" threads.
If something is broken then people should be crying for it to be fixed, but i guess infinites and keys are not a priority and Spirit and Camping are.
Both are issues and most people want both fixed

Its Killer dependent at best. A Nurse, Legion, Blight, Twins or Spirit literally wouldn’t care if all four Survivors ran Spirit Burst.
They’d be crying if it was four Dead Hard though
Legion has more an issue with sprint burst since he can’t even catch up to it
-
Main her anyway because she’s the best female survivor hands down

It usually doesn’t work that way.
If you’re working on a gen with someone else, Sprint Burst encourages the Killer to chase someone else instead of you, which is bad if you have lower hook states then them.
If you’re working on a gen solo and the Killer got multiple people with BBQ they’ll just Pop your gen and leave to bother another gen that they know is being worked on. It wastes your exhaustion and time. It’s especially bad if its someone like Blight, Twins, Nurse, Freddy or Spirit because they can get to the next gen with little time lost.
What if all 4 people have it? Or even 2 tbh but that’s where it starts to get really strong
-
It was because his power was and still is fundamentally flawed
He needs a Freddy style rework (Except it’s actually good unlike his)
-
@gatsby said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2196868#Comment_2196868
why would anyone want that?
it’s beneficial for the team if the killer is hooking and chasing everyone. if you’re discouraging chases then other people are taking them instead and dying early
If a killer walks 30 seconds to a gen and you sprint burst away he gets no value and has to start patrolling again.
If he chases you that’s even more time wasted
-
Tbh we all know haddonfield is broken this isn’t a new idea
-
It’s a person pressing the ctrl key over and over
-
Sprint burst is still better IMO since it can end the chase before it even starts
-
Wraith is finally in a good spot now. He can mindgame short loops but if you go to a safer area looping him is easy.
I will say though his add ons could use a touch up
-
I’d recommend wraith. He’s quite simple but actually very strong now. He also has synergy with the starting perk sloppy butcher.

Nurse. Her teleport just needs to go away and be replaced with something else. Her kit has always been a problem. A player that takes time to learn the Nurse is unbeatable. Sure it's hard to learn the nurse, but once you do, the survivors have no counter play. Teleport totally negates any counter play.
Couldn’t agree more
-
An add on for clown.
Iridescent robin
When the clown is invigorated by his antidote he gains undetectable. This effect persists 5 seconds after the invigoration expires
This could be used for mindgames at loops and general stealth plays. Could be combined with makeup kit for extended duration
”The clown’s first robin that lead him down a bad path”

Sounds interesting, especially when going against people who actually played against him back in the day, as I suppose they would recall a few tricks. New Ruin and Oppression are also good choices, imo.
Oppression could be counter productive if they fail on purpose. There is no extra regression and they could be quite far away.
Im interested about surge though since the gen blow up animation plays when it activates. Would that wake them up?
-
@MadLordJack said:
Spirit. I think she would be quite fun to play if she wasn't so awful to play against.
That makes sense. I feel the same way playing deathslinger where I feel bad for survivors a lot of the time
-
MMR is going to fix this. When there’s too many survivors queuing the match making needs to find people
-
@CashelP14 said:
Hag: Give her some better counterplay.
That’s understandable. Having her one counterplay option being an item is kinda dumb

Now this needs the devs attention!

Tough to keep the list small, but here are some of my favorites lately:
Beartooth, Avatar, August Burns Red, Ice Nine Kills, Whitechapel, Carnifex, Dying Fetus, Bloodbath, Decapitated, Fit For A King, Gojira, Killswitch Engage, Light The Torch, Kublai Khan, Motionless In White, Shadow of Intent, Synthetic Torture...
I'm gonna stop there because that's just a lot lol
Gojira are great! Good choices
-
It’s probably because his knives don’t actually interrupt actions like repairing
-
Both sides should probably have a forfeit options. Slugged survivors should be able to make themselves bleed out faster and killers should be able to forfeit after enough time has passed
-
Teleportation would be interesting on plague but since she already has great snowball and can injure map wide I wouldn’t go with it.
As for corrupting her own fountain it could work. Plague is rendered an M1 killer if they refuse to cleanse but that’s what your base fountain/ apples are for.
She’s fine right now imo
-
You can try your best to dodge it since unlike PH he suffers a decently long cooldown for missing.
Shack is terrible against a good demo so try using rock loops or more circular structures to force him to m1
-

I dont like to agree with bait players but ruin was nerfed because 87% of the killer base used it. Undying was nerfed because a large amount of players used it.
I wonder what the % of survivor perks are used
There were some other reasons that ruin was nerfed mainly it’s randomness and how it effected newer players
-
I love it on her since you get value no matter what. If the stay broken you get exhausted and if they cleanse because of it that’s good too!

Sprint burst is better but harder to use

I’d recommend either waiting for rank reset to play against worse people or get better through facing them

You mean buffs they desperately need because their basekit is weak as hell like trickster?
and these buffs don't even really move them up the tier list by much either.
What about bubba and doc? They both became like A tier killers after their reworks.
-
Is that why killers get constant buffs?
