If the last survivor could still attempt escape the killer would just camp the hook and down them if they succeed in jumping off the hook, so that would just be a waste of time.
-
I don't want to copy others' ideas, so I'd just like to see which hook-state each survivor is on in the HUD.
-
It's boring for both sides:
As killer I have to wait for the second survivor to take the bait which just takes forever, but this is unfortunately the only option to get my last BBQ stack.
As survivor I don't like being slugged, but I don't like being the other survivor even more. If I see my teammate is being slugged for the 4k I'm finding a safe locker to hide in for four minutes until hatch spawns.
-
You mention that good survivor streamers win most of their games, but many killer streamers win most of their games. Take for example OhTofu, Scott Jund, ZubatLEL, and a relatively unknown streamer Otzdarva.
In your experiment you used the sweatiest things that a survivor can bring and won most matches, but you fail to remember that killers have things that are just as sweaty: Mories, certain iridescent addons, the entirety of Spirit, and tunneling. Anyone should be able to win with these things, and if the killer player is even just decent it leaves ZERO chance for the survivors.
Besides, your experiment had you using the sweatiest things possible, but most survivors aren't bringing purple flashlights, every meta perk, and a Haddonfield offering. But obviously, if either side brought their strongest things then that side would win.
-
Depends on queue time
-
Even if they don't fix Ormond's loops, at least a graphics update will probably fix scratches being invisibly and the awful collision on every object.

Or...dont tunnel? Really its not that hard.
DS used to work after being downed, THE FIRST DOWN, nothing to do with hooks. It was ALREADY NERFED. Stop moaning for once. Stop tunneling and you want experience it. Simple.
I disagree with the "whole DS is nerfed stop moaning," Mories used to be able to be used without hooking, but they were nerfed so that you have to hook first, and they're still undeniably overpowered.
Just because DS was nerfed does not mean that it is fair (even if it is basically a requirement if tunneling is an issue).

I'm like 90% sure that blocking a player only keeps you from getting friend requests from them.
-
They've already confirmed that they're adding Garfield in the dev stream about licenses.

I do think updating the tutorial would also help with this, although it explains the basics, there's still a lot more to learn that would help with the new player experience...a lot of us forget this I guess because we've been playing for such a long time now.
Not to mention that the tutorial is off to the side and has a really small button. I didn't even realize there even was a tutorial after 100 hours.
-
If they play well, if it's a baby Dwight, or if I find hatch before I find a hook, I let the last survivor go. But if it's swamp you're going on a hook.
-
A jumping killer would be cool but indoor maps.
-
Because the survivor can't do anything about mori spamming. You can just walk away from flashlight clicks, or even take comfort in the fact that they are one less player doing gens and ignore them.

No I'm just really into science π
It's really funny if that's that case, what you said is literally word for word a quote from Outer Wilds

You do make some good points here, I'll say that.

Your density rivals that of a neutron star.
Is that an Outer Wilds reference?
-
Definitely not every single killer
-
After playing killer for ~1k hours I rarely get stressed playing. Solo Queue on the other hand is a nightmare, since relying on randoms will almost never turn out fine. I do understand the frustrations of playing killer though.
-
Watch Scott Jund, OhTofu, or ZubatLEL play him, they're pretty good at the Blight.
-
I only slug for the 4k if I don't have all of my bbq stacks. There is no price too great for bloodpoints.

I also thought he was bad, but yeah he's pretty strong.
There is one problem though...survivors are learning to dodge when he is using his lethal rush and since he can barely turn, sooner or later most survivors will be easily able to completely ignore his offensive part of the power.
You don't even need to predict survivors when attacking out of a lethal rush, if you swing early it's really hard to dodge because of its wide hitbox.
-
As survivor, I main Jake
As killer, I main Blight, but and I also play Demo and Huntress.
-
You could watch Bronx' Demogorgon guide:
-
I only ever camp if:
A: I see a survivor by the hook.
B: Survivors do gens instead of saving, so I punish that decision by proxying until next hook stage.
C (If you count this as camping): I'll chase someone if I see them going for the save, and I'm not winning a chase already.

The generators are broken, not just unpowered.
The gene lights aren't broken, since you see them blinking, they could be connected to the power grid as well.
-
I literally lunged at an injured survivor, then rubber banded backwards.
Luckily the survivor got stuck on a wall, so I lunged at them again, and then got rubber banded back again.
yay
-
The five generators could be providing enough power to light the other two unfinished generators.

Yeah, the only advantage it gives other than being different is that it might make you harder to spot. Thought it makes the survivors harder to spot as well so I think they need to change something to make it better. Like being able to do something like ghostfaces lean. Though that's also something unique ghostface has.
Blight isn't actually as short as his camera, his actual height is around the height of ghost face, but his camera is around the height of hag.
He's also kinda thick and glows pretty bright, so he can't really work as a semi-stealth killer.
-
@Rubyinsomniac said:
I think it gives him something unique. There's not many short killers, their all tall.
I guess it makes him unique, but he also can't see over most filler tiles like every other killer can, which can make him really annoying to play.
On the up side, playing my first Huntress match since Blight was released last night made me feel like a GIANT.

Canβt stop moaning can you people. One thing gets fixed then straight to the next. What about the killer sided maps? Whatβs that? You donβt care about those ones do you.
As soon as you get your way and survivors are all dead in 5mins or less youβll be back here crying about queue times as they all stop playing
There's like, one killer sided map in the game, which is Azarovs Resting Place, and that's still depended on survivors 3 genning themselves.
What killer sided maps are you talking about?
I guess I can understand why Shelter Woods could be survivor sided, but that's dependent on the jungle gyms that spawn.
-
You better change your name then.
-
Because I realized that I started treating dead hard as an extra health state, even though a smart killer would just wait out the dead hard. I had to stop using it to make me stop relying on it for stupid plays (even if they usually worked)

So nerfing stealth for everyone else is fair, right?
No, it's not fair that they have to nerf everyone because of blendettes, but the devs can't change every outfit claudette ever had to make them brighter. And even if they did do that, most of the blendette mains wouldn't be very happy about it.
-
Because Claudettes literally becoming near invisible isn't very fair to the killers.
-
Iron Will isn't supposed to affect you while downed, it's not a bug.
-
That's a rather bold statement you made there.
-
Yeah, his camera is super broken. He even spontaneously grows taller after picking up a downed survivor.
Not gonna stop me from maining him, but his height makes it so hard to see.
-
I know right? He even grows taller when he's holding someone
-
unlucky
-
Actually, the Spotlight trailer shows the blight able to move faster after smashing into a wall.
-
The Blight
-
Looks like ptb Dead Dawg Salloon.
-
Lucky for you, the devs are updating the visuals for every map in the game. The updates are coming out a few maps at a time.
Currently, only Yamaoka Estate and Badham Preschool are the only realms to have finished updates, and the graphic updates are coming out with the next chapter.
-
There needs to be video evidence for someone to get banned for hacking, so unless you really were hacking I wouldn't worry too much.
-
Mettle
-
Objectively, Blight is the most fun killer. I can't pinpoint exactly why I find him so fun, but I would've been willing to main him even in his PTB state.

@Orion said:
Why should a killer's offering benefit survivors?
Ask that to shroud of separation
-
Seeing someone crouching to gens as we load into a match.
-
It's not worth it: you waste the five second stun from DS to head on the killer, which stuns them for three seconds. People do it because it's funny.
