It's not designed to deny killer possessions against a killer who just came out especially. I'd be careful using a perk that's bugged in that way as you can get action taken against you for it.

Just be careful incase it is a bug

It's designed to hide hooks and the statues effectively work as hooks and again with two people in exile up to 6 statues activate so it's not like it's impossible to free everyone.

  • Also, again pointing out that there are up to 3 different light up statue and more if you put more than one in exile. Which makes it much more likely and less oppressive than doing the same with cage of torments with pyramidhead.

that's not the issue, the issue is it's good against casual players who NEED the information lmao

Which the perk is designed to deny…that's an hex too which means it can be cleansed

The Shrines not being considered a killer object is reported in Bethahub already.

    https://app.betahub.io/projects/pr-5642738318/issues/6468

They seem to be put in the highlighted aura category when they should be in killer item category.

Still it might be intentional as they do act as hooks and you don't see hooks or hooked survivors when being blind.

I would also point out that it still has a physical tell, the shrine glows when it is a rescue point. And I say rescue points bc one shrine can free multiple survivors (and has up to three location per point) which is not the case with hooks or cage of torment. So I hope it is not treated as a bug.

  • @SpyUA said:

I recommend reporting it to the beta hub, even as a killer main I think this is disgusting, does third seal make you unable to see cages on pyramid head?, if no then this should definitely be fixed.

Yes it does and also prevent seeing regular hooks so I think this is intended.

  • @DodoSwarm said:

I just think people are still playing her wrong. the more obviously decent judgement players I have gone against who are still slinging beams at a 3gen aren't getting kills but people who seem to realize that and are using her Movement Speed Addon while charging power and then closing distance and changing its direction to hit someone other than she's chasing last second have been pretty easily killing people… I will say she is this unique case of all or nothing where se is either snowballing or floundering and sometimes the "snowballing" can happen too late to matter

Again my main issue is that anyone with even average skill can just 360 on the gen and dodge the beam. Even more easily since you're not using the add-on to boost the beam size. It's too small and visible across the map, I feel it could have one of those weakness but having both is kinda wild. I mean time will tell the ways people find to make her work but so far imo she's B tier MAYBE A with a bad survivor group.

  • @Piruluk said:

In general I think blindness is problematic design, it's very good against solo but does nothing against swf

Well I mean even in a swf her statues are around the area you exiled the survivor but not directly where you did it and the person in exile cannot tell you where they were actually put.

  • @100PercentBPMain said:

huh, yeah come to think of it Judgments hooks are red, not white. All hooks are blinded by 3rd Seal but without seeing a body I suppose it would be really hard to find them if you were busy when the hook happened. That sounds diabolical

Yeah most of my wins were using this method. I tested with my bf in custom and he told me you see the bubble pop up but then no aura. So yeah if you weren't looking or far then you'll have a hard time finding where the statue is or if you weren't looking at the Ui for some reason (reading chat lol) you can miss entirely the exile.

  • @100PercentBPMain said:

he's got a sound cue to let you know you're in immediate danger.

Judgment feels a lot like Henry to me with the mind games, so I try to be hard to predict with my shots. Spot auras, pretend to hit a survivor in chase but actually hit somebody in the distance, that kind of thing. Judgment is powerful, but the counter play is predictable. You very much could aim where a survivor will dodge and reasonably get the hit

She also has a sound queue

  • @Yamalive said:

So we now again pretend the killer isnt strong though PTB showed otherwise. Okay. Same procedure as every update.

You do know she was heavily nerfed from PTB to release…

  • Someone brought up a good point, why is her power visible to survivors ? Henry isn't ? He'd be weak af if it did.

  • @Rickprado said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/471653/general-consensus

I've played almost 30 matches on the PTB and playing more now…
Considering i'm playing without Prayer Kneleer, i say Judgement feels inconsistent, specially against good survivors. Even after so many matches i still feel i'm taking the grip on this killer but if you get at least two solid players to go against you will have a hard time no matter what since a lot of the time the power feel like "harder" 50/50 than many other killers like Unknown, Henry and other M2 killers.

There is a snipe playstyle where you almost never commit to chases but i think its far too boring to me to play the killer this way.

Edit → TL;DR: Can't form a solid opinion on this killer yet, but it feels far too weak for the current DBD.

That's what I've been trying (Letahl pursuer, gear head, undying and third seal) and although it was the build used in most of my winning matches, you still run into the problem of good survivors just seeing your beam coming literally just do a 360 around the gen and voila it dodged it. I literally see people do that with gear head.

  • @GeordieKiller said:

yeah i say avoid playing judgement till they give her actual buffs like removing at least survivors seeing where you aiming and reduce the distance that you can see the beam back to ptb 32 meters (my opinion on buffs needed)

basically the devs has 2 choices here to make judgement stronger

If they still want to keep her difficult to play and high skill celling then they need to make it so much harder for survivors to counter it

    or

if they want survivors have it easy to dodge and counter it then they need to make power much easier to use and less skilful

We cant have it where it takes alot of skill to use the power but it to easy to counter it from the other side as people will drop the character and go to Jason ,ghoul, blight etc which as a community created killer will be a shame

I already noted that there are not many Judgement player rn. Most of my matches were against other killers. Played about 5 hours last night after work and only saw 6 Judgement. And escaped every single time.

Imo it would already help if her power was not showed while survivors are blind (like the "bug" with blindness in PTB, it should have remained a feature) this made her much stronger WHILE using specific perks and builds. Fine if they don't want her to be default op but perks should elevate her. "Well she's really good with aura reading perks" Yeah the issue is rn you run into groups with 4 full totem builds, Distortion, self-preservation, etc. Result you are never seeing anyone's aura.

  • @MiseryandCompany said:

I think her strength depends heavily on the survivors skill level. If survivors do look out for beams, she is much weaker than if they dont.

I started to see people literally just side step the beam on gen and during chase. And that's if they don't double back as soon as you charge your power which then is impossible to reverse hit on them and even if you could they can just side step it, a single step to the side is enough to dodge it even with both add-on to increase its size. Like idk…feels weak ngl

  • @100PercentBPMain said:

I've given survivors some good content but I genuinely believe it's due to my own failure as a killer to realize their potential the snowball potential is rather insane. They've got a bit of a Henry thing going on.

Maybe the mmr changes is making me think I'm better than I am but I'm getting 3 minute matches where I 1 hook every survivor. Apparently this killer is good at camping and tunneling but I wouldn't know I hook them too fast sometimes

No you actually cannot camp hooks your beam does not hit near hook and you can't even use your power around one, both trigger the anti camp mechanic cancelling your power and forcing a recharge. I had issues where as I saw someone going for basement I launched a beam and it literally stopped a few meters from the hook making impossible to deny the rescue unless you physically walk there. Which I'm not sure I get the logic.

  • @SpyUA said:

It's a 10 meter radius where this will activate and survivors need to t-bag/taunt 3 times for it to activate.

They were definitely outside of 10 meter radius.

I was just outside the gate, they were inside. Is that more than 10m ? The only time I had it trigger is by a Meg purposely t-bagging and me inches away from her face.

  • @Linkdouken said:

It states within a certain proximity to the killer (I think it's 32m?)

Was definitely in proximity…wow she's weak AND her anti toxic mechanic don't really work…amazing launch

Unless you're in endgame or you're downing multiple people at once (Which from the sound of it you aren't), maintaining Zealous is insanely important to keeping her power potent. The empowered beam is way more threatening both in chase and on gens. Also are you just chucking your beams directly at gens? Just like Artist you should absolutely be trying to aim towards where you think they'll move.

I'm sorry you want me to send them elsewhere ? So in the context of I just exiled or hook someone I shouldn't send my beam to a gen ? This killer wasn't suppose to be good at snipping gens ? I should just slowly walk physically to one ? Wow you sound so smart. After that and not understanding exile + hook I'm starting to think you haven't even played her.

Lol I've had plenty of triple down and stuff but no against any survivor who knows what they're doing it is ridiculously easy to avoid the beam. And again no you should not, every comp player is saying one exile, one hook. Logically so you give two objectives to do to the survivors and not just them spawning everyone for a massive fast heal. Like it is basic knowledge right now XD

  • Also again, are YOU not side stepping the beam of light constantly ? I think I have been hit twice if I combine all of the Judgement I face. Again even with both add on the beam isn't even large enough to engulf a full gen and even with them you can side step the gen WHICH somehow doesn't trigger the killer instinct like it's suppose to when you hit near a survivor.

  • @Lavoonus said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4112010#Comment_4112010

BBQ? On the killer who should rarely ever be hooking normally? If you're not exiling often then yeah the killer will feel very weak.

Are you compeltely dumb ? No you're not suppose to exile constanty unless you want everyone to reset in 30s XD Like wth lol

  • Oh and note that you will also be unable to charge your power to hit someone AWAY from a hook bc it will still trigger the same anti hook mechanic which prevents you from launching it, forcing a reload. I discovered that one while thinking BBQ would be good on them.

  • @Nazzzak said:

The fact that you're complaining about not being able to aim at hooks says alot

I'm sorry the situation I am refering to was that I put someone in basement hook and while going away saw someone running to basement, I tried to snipe them and my beam got stuck in the survivor under the ground. I'm sorry it's my fault I should remember never to deny hook rescue.

  • You can't even use your powers around hooks and literally the beam even with both add on to increase its size doesn't cover the gen XD I think YOU all have been going against players that knew nothing about them. Do you know you can just side step it when it's launched at a gen and it won't even cause the killer instinct to trigger ? I never seen such a weak power with so many restrictions.

Many Survivors don't play like it's a ranked tournament. They are just trying to have fun.

    Shocking!

I don't understand how sabotaging the game within the first 30s is fun ? If you want to save your friend then do what is necessary even a trade is better than a double down and arguably it's just as bad. Like I am all for using weird builds and atypical strats I'm not a "comp" player but double down at 5 gen is literally selling the game right as we start. I played this game for over 2000 hours now and I can tell you recovering from that is extremely hard and doesn't happen reliably. Again, let your friend go down and wait for the right moment to save them if altruism is what you like. But doing a trade or double down literally lose use the match.

  • @Your_Dad_Playing_DbD said:

100%. This happens to me often as well and it’s because there are so many in solo queue who still don’t know the basics of how to play survivor.

I'm the solo queuer…so no it is 100% duos and trios refusing to let their friend go down…which results in a double down like 99% of the time

  • @RedCentipede said:

It might feel that way but not true. Good game sense and perks go a long way. Sure weaker killers will struggle against efficient survivors, it's like that for everybody.

Punish altruism as it's swf's biggest weakness. Some losses are going to be unavoidable no matter what.

I've come in the MMR brackets were I see only "TTV" in my matches…I literally can't play most of the killers if I want to win and have to rotate using the same 3 builds if I want to do anything…this is so lame…and all of this bc I mainly play survivor, win a lot so my matches as killers as ######### excruciating as I am trying to learn how to even play with 4 DS, 3 DH, 1 SB, 4 Shoulder the burden…like that's not even fun anymore. Why aren't mmr ranking separated between "factions" . And forget even TRYING to play on a d tier killer even I find them fun (gaze at my pfp) no gotta go Blight, Wesker, Jason or Nurse.

  • After a little digging around, apparently chase use to not be capped BUT they got mad that people were farming and capped categories to try to prevent that. Which is stupid bc farming still happens no matter what so really ti just hurt the person being tunneled since the killer doesn't have a cap for chases. So they are rewarded for tunneling meanwhile we survivors are punished for being tunneled IN THE ONE OFF CHANCE WE ARE FARMING BP…make absolutely no sense, whoever thought this was a good and fair idea or way to deter farming is an idiot

  • @Mr_K said:

Are you asking for a tunneling bonus? Where are you wanting points from? 17k kind of implies 7k points from other categories. How did you gain those by being tunneled? When I see survivors get tunneled, they typically have 5k or less. 17k means you actually got to play.

I think you don't know how the scoring work so I'll jsut ignore that one.

  • Let me make a WILD guess. Legion, Wesker, Blight or Nurse.

  • Istg the response in here are so disconnected from everywhere else. It's like people just refuse to say 3 pallets in one room is maybe one too many. No ofc bc yall are all playing Nurse, Blight and Ghoul and nothing else XD like the pallet density is so bad half the roster is unplayable we have like 5 killers that do well and they're all fast killers not a single trap killer or zone denial is doing any good. Even insta down killers are hitting pallets after pallets constantly XD I had never seen so many pallets in my entire life on this game.

And to the guy that's like "pallet density didn't affect RCPD" well I never seen 3 pallets spawn in the blue room before. Do you know how long it is to mind game around 3 pallets ?

  • @ArtGueds said:

pallet density right now feels more balanced than ever considering the nerfs they made to loops in general, I dont know if you ever played this game before 2020 but it was way worse

Are you joking ? I been playing since 2016 and it's worst than ever before. 3 pallets in one room ? How is that even a thing ?

  • "When throwing the pebble the survivor gain elusive for 10s (and all the current effect applies)" I feel would already make it more useful as a small pocket elusive.

  • Yes it literally is. With the new patch it seems to be fixed and it gives me the abandon option when dying like it's suppose to so what are you even blabbing about ?

  • @CrypticGirl said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4100515#Comment_4100515

The abandon option doesn't appear during your death animation unless you are the last one. It would appear for the final Survivor as soon as the third Survivor dies, like the screenshot I have from one of my matches this morning… You can see that "flare" effect around Ash's portrait, which was the exact point his sacrifice animation completed, and the abandon option appeared for me as the last Survivor.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/ISSRXBX2854A/deadbydaylight-win64-shipping-071544-as.png

As for your friend, were they downed and not hooked multiple times?

They were still running but I was dying (flying up the sky) and the game wasn't given me "press touch pad to abandon" (ps5) so I left from the menu thinking it would register that I was in the death animation but ig not.

  • Also how the option not appearing during the death animation wouldn't be a bug ? XD

  • @crogers271 said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4100491#Comment_4100491

If you don't have the abandon option, you disconnected, which gives you the DC penalty. That's not a bug.

It might be a bug if it didn't appear or appeared too quickly for your friend, but they'd need more details on the specifics. If your friend was able to show you his side you could post that video here or into the bug reports section.

Or their QA could simply test it as they are paid to do. Like it happened twice today it isn't a rare occurrence and I already said on which platform. I work in QA and I certainly won't do their job for free they can pay me or send their testers to investigate.

  • And it use to but ever since the event ended idk it's the second time it does that and I don't have the option to leave. My friend is on pc.

  • @Wezqu said:

Because you most likely did not use abandon option but exited the match normally. You need to press tab to use the abandon not press esc and leave.

I used the exit bc it didn't give me the abandon option (I'm on ps5) idk if it's a bug but it didn't show me to press the thing to leave

  • Also, I will point out he was given the option as far as when he unhooked me. Meanwhile I am being held hostage even during the death animation ? Why ?

  • How am I abandoning by skipping the animation of being flown up. Like I was dead dead. It happened again today during the mori animation.

  • It happened again today (taking the recording) I left during the mori animation and it gave me a 15m penalty.

  • @CrypticGirl said:

Were your teammates still alive, or were you the last one?

If you got a penalty, that means you had at least one teammate alive. You can only abandon without penalty if you are the last one alive or if everyone is slugged.

No it happened again. I left during the animation of being flown up. When you're dead dead

Behaviour has not published the current MMR expansion intervals or the exact formula used by the matchmaker.

However, during the 2022 matchmaking tests, Behaviour stated that the default system used roughly the following values:

    • Initial search range: approximately ±50 MMR
    • Maximum search range: approximately ±500 MMR
    • Time to reach the maximum range: approximately five minutes

They should not be treated as confirmed values for the current 2026 matchmaking system, since Behaviour has since adjusted factors such as the maximum search range, expansion speed and effective high-MMR cap.

Okay this actually explains a lot bc I had a queue time of 7m so either they or I got put in the max range MMR…that is a crazy flawed system

  • It's the fact I cannot find a single lobby under p90 and without everyone having finesse, lithe, unbreakable and decisive strike. The survivors in my teams are NEVER this prepared…I wish they were….like this is insane…

  • @100PercentBPMain said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4099716#Comment_4099716

it's unfortunate but I remember when bhvr tried to separate the mmr between killers and it made those matches kind of a wash for survivors since I felt like I was clearly above the lobby. I may be a Legion master but switching to Clown/Slinger I was facing yellow perk lobbies

Okay but at the same time I don't understand how being a good survivor means I'm a good killer. Those two mmr should be separated bc they require WILDLY different skills.

  • Idk I don't put points in killers I don't use and to me it means I'm not using them. Idk about you I'm talking about me lol

  • @Your_Dad_Playing_DbD said:

I’ve been complaining a lot about this recently. Short answer: there is no functional matchmaking system. I don’t believe anyone who says that there is for a single second. I’ve had dozens of recent examples of literal brand new players in my solo queue lobbies recently (I have multiple thousands of hours). Just a couple days ago there was someone with 0 hours in the game. I’ve never seen this supposed matchmaking system actually work correctly.

Well I'm not "new" but P4 on Trapper can let you know I'm not really that good or taken much time on him you know. And like it just felt strange that my first match up was against a full swf with fully p100 characters. I don't even think I have a p100 character

  • Oh and I will add…are perks part of the formula ? Bc I had JUST switched my main build to a meme build to get people in basement just for ######### and giggles…and the two people I downed and carry MYSTERIOUSLY had power struggle…firstly I NEVER see anyone using it but the ONE TIME I switch to basement perks half the team has it ? Same thing happened last time when I switched from my exhaustion build and then EVERYONE had sprint burst and lithe. Like it's strange sometimes how it feels it's calculating what best counter what you have equipped.
