Abandon feature bug ?
Hi. I would like to know why I got hit with a 15m penalty for leaving while being flown up (idk how to say but once you are hooked the third time and actually die) meanwhile my friend was given the abandon option before I was even on the hook ?
I made another post before and I think people misunderstood that I was on my first or second hook. No I was dead dead. And now that my friend showed me his side…why did HE have the option to abandon while I was STILL ALIVE ?! Like I am not understanding the logic here ?

Also, I will point out he was given the option as far as when he unhooked me. Meanwhile I am being held hostage even during the death animation ? Why ?
Because you most likely did not use abandon option but exited the match normally. You need to press tab to use the abandon not press esc and leave.
I used the exit bc it didn't give me the abandon option (I'm on ps5) idk if it's a bug but it didn't show me to press the thing to leave
And it use to but ever since the event ended idk it's the second time it does that and I don't have the option to leave. My friend is on pc.
If you don't have the abandon option, you disconnected, which gives you the DC penalty. That's not a bug.
It might be a bug if it didn't appear or appeared too quickly for your friend, but they'd need more details on the specifics. If your friend was able to show you his side you could post that video here or into the bug reports section.
Or their QA could simply test it as they are paid to do. Like it happened twice today it isn't a rare occurrence and I already said on which platform. I work in QA and I certainly won't do their job for free they can pay me or send their testers to investigate.
Also how the option not appearing during the death animation wouldn't be a bug ? XD
The abandon option doesn't appear during your death animation unless you are the last one. It would appear for the final Survivor as soon as the third Survivor dies, like the screenshot I have from one of my matches this morning… You can see that "flare" effect around Ash's portrait, which was the exact point his sacrifice animation completed, and the abandon option appeared for me as the last Survivor.
As for your friend, were they downed and not hooked multiple times?
I work in QA and I certainly won't do their job for free they can pay me or send their testers to investigate.So you're going to take the time to post about it, but not the time to do a little more than that? Posting the video would be even less time than what you have done so far.
Why would it? That's not an abandon condition.
They were still running but I was dying (flying up the sky) and the game wasn't given me "press touch pad to abandon" (ps5) so I left from the menu thinking it would register that I was in the death animation but ig not.
Yes it literally is. With the new patch it seems to be fixed and it gives me the abandon option when dying like it's suppose to so what are you even blabbing about ?
You must have been the last one to die then.
