I think it's a good first step to listening to player feedback.
But I have my misgivings particularly the upcoming changes and how it was not mentioned in the survey feedback. Even if you don't play the PTB, everyone knows about the upcoming changes and what a contentious issue it is.
Wondering about everyone else's thoughts on the survey + speculation.
I think it's a good first step to listening to player feedback.

Keep in mind that it's not gonna be a simple number change.

I mean lullaby was only really used in that build i saw since doctors thing is skillchecks so they nerfed it based on a build that shows up very rarely on a specific map that only really punishes new people. Sounds like ruin lol.
It's less about nerfing a specific build but rather for consistency sake.
Like,Lullaby worked with doctors madness skill checks but didn't with jigsaw box skill checks for example

It was so strong one of the devs got pissed off and made up a story about lullaby not specifying all skillchecks to nerf the build. (Btw you can factcheck he was lieing by looking at old lullabys description)
1:29 (i know almo is a like rank 15 lol)
It's just a meme/gimmick kind of build and not really that good.
I'm pretty sure he just got a bit confused at that moment.You can easily see that with any other streamer.They mistake certain things in the game too.

To be fair doc has all these that youve listed as well except for the map mobility and i don't see that many nerf doc threads and that many dcs as doc. Theres also the infamous impossible skillcheck doc build and his ability to counter stealth completly with iron maiden. Id take 5 freddies over a doc on the game. I think its moreso a classic case of bandwagon since as spirit and nurse i get less dcs then as freddy and their stronger then him.
Really the only thing doctor has over freddy is tracking and that's it.
Also,you need a LOT more skill to use doctor well.Wasting your static blast means a 60 second cooldown.
Incorrect use and bad timing on your shocks can even hurt you more than help it could help you.
Also,that impossible skill check doctor build is so insanely rare that i can't even remember when i versed that build.

Well,it's your teammates fault if they give the killer the opportunity to slug.
You have to build pressure in order to get survivors off gens and if they give you an opportunity to gain free pressure then why not take it,right?
-
I used to be a Plagur main back then because i really liked her design but i stopped playing her at some point.
Her power just feels so extremely clunky in comparison to all the other killers we got after her it's awful.
The most annoying thing (except dedicated server BS) is getting your corrupt purge.It's the same issue trapper has with his traps.Most of the time your fontains spawn in corners and edges of the map so that you are wasting a lot of time to even get to them.
Even the free corrupt purge that she got doesn't help her if it spawns in a random corner of the map with 0 gens nearby.
At this point she needs a rework.She's not fun to play as or against her
-
Those are hands down the best matches in the game.
I remember one evening i was playing in a SWF with 3 other decent players (without communication though).We escaped most of the time rather easily but then we played against a P3 Pyramid Head on Suffocation Pit and my god was he good.
Easily the best Pyramid Head player i've ever seen.He was really nailing his shots and put a TON of pressure on us with his cages.We got down to maybe 1 or 2 gens before he killed us all.
Unfortunately he was on PC so we couldn't tell him how good he was and how fun the match was.

So, do you mean being healed 1 health state even if you get downed? Because the issue I see with that is that you gain the broken status effect. So, the killer would know that once you get downed they just need to camp you for a few seconds to smack you back down again once second wind picks you up.
EDIT: no, it doesn't stack with deliverance currently.

Absolutely, could use something like 15 secs.
Personally, I find SB slightly more annoying, bc it allows a surv to run away from a gen and make great distance, when I often do not have the time to invest in a chase. Dead hard is annoying as well, esp. when they misplay and then "press e to outplay". But at least they are not on the other side of the map then.
I actually feel the opposite way.
Sprint burst can be super annoying but at least i can decide whether to take the chase or drop it,forcing their sprint burst and come back later when it's still on cooldown.
Dead hard however is so damn frustrating to deal with because survivors can erase great plays by you with a simple push of a button.It's easily my most hated perk ever
-
It doesn't.
It only affects basic attacks

Yep, the sliding off obstacles with blight is so infuriating! Esp on swamp, where your view is bad as hell too, you are screwed twice there.
And Why TF can you not bump against an opened chest?? I'm can understand it does not work with a closed one, but an opened one? Maybe let it snap shut after bumping into it, so it can only be used once unless survivors open it again (a really nice interaction, don't you think ^^).
But I think the worst punch-in-the-face map for blight remains Rotten fields. Sure there's not so much gliding off objects, but thats only bc there are NO OBJECTS ALLTOGETHER to bump against in the corn. You have sh*t view and cannot use your power at all, since all the corn is so void of objects.
You can at least bump into hooks and generator in this map though

Seriously, survivors reliant on their dead hard wait out the exhaustion timer before touching gens again.
You normally don't leave survivors that used their dead hard like you would with sprint burst users for example.
And waiting out 5 seconds really isn't hard
-
@CaulDrohn said:

It might also work against dead hard, when the surv repairs being injured, which happens often.
5 seconds is too low though.
You should easily be able to get rid of it most of the time

@TheClownIsKing said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/220571/is-mindbreaker-meant-to-do-this
Correct. Either the exhausted survivor needs to wait till they recover before touching a gen, or they need to accept the risk that if the killer comes to the gen you’re working on you can’t use your exhaustion perk.
Let's be honest.Mindbreaker will only be ok against sprint burst maybe lithe and balanced landing too

Don't you worry.
Once the new animations go live the game will be scary again

It happens kinda often as survivor.
I try to loop the killer and accidentally lead them to teammates that were working on a gen ._.

@Aven_Fallen said:
Might come, might not. IMO it is not really needed, there is Corrupt Intervention and it is totally fine to invest a Perk Slot for that.
I can also imagine that it is a pain to balance such a thing, because something that affects all Killers will be hard to balance, considering that something that is helpful for Trapper is completely unneccessary and probably oppressive on Spirit ( for example).
Hmm,i would say that changing the way survivors spawn to make them always spawn together a simple yet extremely effective change.
-
@Yords said:
Think about it, how would you balance keys yourself in a way that is strong, but not too strong? I would be willing to bet that the idea you think of is not great.
A popular idea that I hear quite a bit is that we should allow it to only let one person escape per key and have a 3-second animation of opening the hatch. The problem with this idea is that it would still be incredibly powerful as all survivors would just run a key knowing they could easily escape.
I myself don't know any other rework ideas for the keys, but you get the point. The keys are very complex when you stop and think about it. Moris on the other hand were much more unbalanced and much stronger. Keys at least require the survivors to do generators.
The mori change was good for the game itself. Most killers who ran it only used it against survivors holding a key which created very unfun and unhealthy gameplay. Being tunneled off of the first hook only to be moried is worse because it can happen so much faster.
Was it the best change? Probably not. But it is a good change. If you are complaining about the change, you are probably a killer who relied on moris to kill survivor teams using keys.
They could have at least changed the hatch spwaning rule to let it spawn if either all gens get done or 1 survivor is left and then sometime later they could have looked into changing the broken key and some addons
-
Not really,it's only really used with other obsession related perks like Play With Your Food or Dead Mans Switch.
Same goes for Furtive Chase

Actually it isn't, the devs have given killers blood echo, which applies exhaustion for a full minute. I really don't see why people think that add ons should essentially remove a number if perks from their opposition.
If survivors had a toolbox add on that completely removed all gen slowdown perks from killer, there would be uproar, and rightfully so. I don't see how exhaustion perks are any different, they are used to extend chase, and give teammates more time to do generators. Slowdown perks are used to give killer more time to catch a survivor before generators get done. So figuratively speaking, the counter to exhaustion perks are slowdown perks, and the counter to slowdown perks are exhaustion perks. They simply balance each other out.
Blood Echo is only really reliable on Plague and Legion.
I agree that exhaustion addons are too strong (well,most of them).
If survivors had a toolbox add on that completely removed all gen slowdown perks from killer, there would be uproar
Hmm,if we talk about commodious toolbox with wire spool and BNP then yes they essentially remove your gen slowdown perks.

@Tsulan said:
Back when pips were determined by the amount of bloodpoints per category, the 8.000 point limit per category made sense. But now, with the removal of ranks, the limit is useless.
Why not remove it, so people can focus on specialized builds that give them points without limiting them to 8.000.
If someone wants to do 5 gens alone, then let him do that. Someone wants to go full healer? Let it be.
Or is there a another reason for the limit?
I suppose it's to encourage normal and healthy gameplay.

i may have found an use for the antidote after extensive testing on the ptb. the idea is to throw an antidote bottle into a deadzone to lure the survivor away from loops (because they will want the speed boost) and then throw a purple bottle to cancel that. this is a clever tactic to get an easy hit
Ok,but no survivor would ever leave a loop just to run into a sonic tonic cloud (unless they are moths i guess).

Exhaustion addons are too strong most of the time imo.
I would rather have a good reliable anti exhaustion perk to be honest.That would be more fair

Yeah,i loved playing him when he was released but the fun definetely stopped as soon as i've seen how much better pc blight is.
Also,one super "fun" thing with console blight is trying to pre-turn your next rush,accidentally bumping into something and then spin like crazy because you have to push your analog stick so much to the side ._.

Then there is, for some reason, a difference between Blight on PC with a controller and Blight in console, because I can do all the Blight stuff on a controller. Including lunging striaght around loops.
Well,i have no idea whether pc controller and console controller have the same turn rate if both of them have the same sensitivity settinings (in-game).
What loops are you talking about?Maybe you could show some examples of you using the controller

Because we cannot move pad (if that's what is called) like mouse, did you ever saw how freely they turn the camera when using Blight rush on PC, and how slow it goes on Console?
Yes of course.
The devs should take a look into that though.
I would really love to play blight but man does it kill the motivation if you will never be able to go for cool plays like pc players can (not just talking about the 180 flick but rather how much more and easier you can turn on pc) :(

For a split second as you begin your lunge, Blight's turn restriction doesn't apply. With a high DPI you can spin around before the lunge is locked.
For reference, I just found out about this, replicated it, used I, and am 100% confident that it is an exploit. For further reference, having never used it before I 4k nearly every game and only lose to actual genrushing, ridiculous 16-stack second chances, or my own dumb mistakes. This dumb exploit is not needed and is not what makes Blight strong. I'm never using it again. You don't need it. Blight is insanely strong without it, to the point of being third only to Nurse and Spirit.
With a high DPI you can spin around before the lunge is locked.
My sensitivity is on 100 and even then i can turn maybe like 30-45 degrees with my lunge

@MadLordJack said:

To be fair, the only difference between PC and console is that PC can use an exploit to gain an unfair advantage.
Hard disagree on that.
I've seen gamplay from different PC blight players and you can tell that mouse and keybord + increased sensitivity allows you to turn soo much better within your rush than console could ever do.
On console however,playing blight feels like driving a damn truck.It feels like you have to use turn rate addons just to get to the addonless pc blight level.
It definetely needs adjustment.
Like,everyone talked about how big the gap between console and pc nurse is but even that gap isn't close to the one between console and pc blight
-
@MasterGrit said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1878375#Comment_1878375
It's not an exploit. There is a clip where McLean explain it but i can't find the clip.
It can do by instantly hard flicking the mouse at the start of attack. It's easier with high dpi.
That 180 flick really isn't a bug?Because that looks 100% like not intended gameplay (like nurse being able to look up during fatigue etc).Not that i think it should go or anything
Also,just things like that make me even more sad as a console player.I really love blight but the difference between console and pc is incredibly big.Even Nurse is much better to play on console than blight.Hope the will look into that someday :(

Thank you, yeah I understand the slugging part since by default Victor can’t pick up survivors so that means they need to stay slugged. This is the first time I am going to use Deerstalker as I’ve never used it on any killer, but a friend did recommend it.
I could also recommend sloppy butcher and STBFL.
Sloppy:
-Survivors stay injured for longer (obviously important to have more time to snowball with victor)
-Greatly increases victor tracking abilities
STBFL:
-Avoid losing stacks with victor
-Faster follow up with victor after hitting them as charlotte (works great with the "Tiny Fingernail" addon)
Other tips:
-If survivors try to kidnap victor,let them.Most of the time it's beneficial for you,it turns the game into a 3 vs 1 and their plan can backfire very quickly if you make the right plays.
-Aiming the pounce with victor is similiar to demogorgon or a close range hatchet.Try to aim at a certain point and wait for the survivor to run into that,then pounce.
