Survivors are "gen rushing" every game because of the event. They rather do gens to get the BPS than heal or save teammates. So killers need to play scummy.
Playing survivors is a messa cause of the hitboxes, and playing killer is always 2-3 gens popping during first chase

I thought at least after this horrendous update they would have discounted the new cosmetics for 9000 shards again, like Halloween event. Like some kind of peace offering.
But nope, a half baked event, no earnable cosmetics, just "log-in no need to play" rewards, are all we got. You guys really don't give any incentives to play anymore, you realize that right?
There are earnable cosmetics, you just need to stop playing the game and watch other people play the game 🤪

He sat there and damaged the gens while we worked on it. And for some reason my teammate kept healing me when he downed me. I didn’t heal her with she went down to try to end the game but she rose right back up. I guess with that unbreakable perk or something. Then the cycle started all over again.
If you hold shift and move you can't be healed by another survivor
-
He was not holding the game hostage, you could do gens or bleed out

Alright so I just played my first match with the new clown and here are my thoughts he needs work. Here’s some problems
1.Antidote takes to long to activate.
I hate how I have to fully charge the antidote just to get it to work it should activate shorter
2.Invigorated is not fast enough
i like how they wanted to give clown map pressure but it’s to weak you only get a little speed and it lasts to short it should be 10 seconds in lingers and the speed should be 195% when invigorated.
thats pretty much it the only great things in this patch is I found no bugs so far and clown now has built in Agitation overall that’s my feeling of clown he needs work
Holy #########, 195% is too much. It would be Fat Barry Allen with a knife after your ass.

Why BHVR can't let us have good things?😥

wat?

For heaven's sake, just do the bones

No, this "rework" is so meh that i'm not going to even try

Youd be surprised by the amount that would add up and save being able to get more in a bloodweb, plus the mystery boxes can give a chance too would increase them odds. But like I said getting all perks on everyone is a choice, you arent forced to do it. Game is far less grindy than looters shooters where you have to worry about the items, extra effects and rolls etc. Dbd has guaranteed grind, not luck and rng. If you want everything you need to work for it. Besides my time is me still playing with plenty of extra bps. Have like 300+ event cakes etc. So you can do it in less if you really wanted to "grind"
It's not really a choice getting all perks on everyone. This may be true to survivors, but for killers you have to get all perks with all killers if you play with all of them
-
3 perks per bloodweb is still too few for the amount of perks we already have, 5 perks per bloodweb and maybe don't take a thousand hours for a new player unlock all perks with all characters
-
How come you guys didn't dig him out by tbagging his head? Are you sure you were pressing "Ctrl" fast and repeatedly?

I don’t know how the devs will take the stance of “do bones” when they are gutting undying because “doing the same hex 2-3 times in a row is too much” even though NOED is effectively the same thing because all 5 totems need to be cleansed for it to not come into play.
There’s still nothing more annoying than playing the entire match, the killer is getting dumped on, then you take your first hit of the entire game and hey it’s NOED and you are in solo Q so you die on first hook from one attack.
If the killer is "getting dumped on", there's no excuse for you to not do bones

Yes there are some perks that will become a crutch if you use them too much
Survivor examples would be: Dead hard and spine chill
Kilker examples: Noed and tinkerer
How is tinkerer a crutch?
-
I've been thinking the same, but @Lexilogo has a point. Let's see how it turns out when the change is here
-
I think it will be pretty good against nurses calling
-
Corn maps with nurse, makes an already miserable experience even worse. Survivors zig zag and you can't see #########, and if you miss a blink there, you can start patrol gens again, cause you're not gonna find that survivor anymore

Please I beg for y'all's help. How do I play this killer? My Plague gameplay is atrocious to watch as I can't land vomit to save my life. So, if there are any Plague mains that can give tips that would be great.
Don't bother trying. Even if you're not screwed by dedicated (survivor scream and coughs but it's perfectly health) and play well, it's up to the survivors if you're gonna do good or not
-
Nerf pig

That sounds just like the nurse experience to me. This bugs will not be fixed, btw

Wow, you bully green rank killers with OoO, big man you are

You almost understood what I meant, and by that I mean not at all.
For the first part: it's not my job to hold the killer's hand. If you can't apply pressure and allow the survivor to get 1% of heal now and then, that's on you. The survivor shouldn't be punished because you are playing poorly.
The second part did not imply you use DS to get away. The second part meant this:
1.Chase ends up being near a hooked survivor.
2.You confuse the killer with your movement, get a tiny bit of time while he is figuring out where you are -> unhook survivor.
3.You both run. You do not get away because you used DS, you get away because you outplayed the killer with smart movement.
Then 2 things can happen:
a.With my change: you still have DS.
b.With the original change: you do not have DS anymore.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1918918#Comment_1918918
Read above. It is outplayed and not outperked. With dev's proposed change, I get penalised for outplaying the killer by having my DS removed. With the change I proposed I still have my DS after unhooking and safely running away BECAUSE I CONFUSED THE KILLER, not because of DS.
Again: the second scenario does not imply you use DS to get away. You get away by being smart and then you have your DS removed. I am talking about not having DS after you unhook & run away, the rest of the chase.
As @Pulsar said, if you really outplayed the killer you don't need your DS anymore. What you're saying is what actually is being done: hook bombing with the killer on your tail just cause you're invincible cause your DS is active. You should get punished for playing poorly, not the killer.
-
It's all about zoning with Victor. Get ready to jump if they vault and jump if they don't, and try to not do fancy long pounces, unless you're absolutely sure you you land the hit. Using charlotte to block some part of loops also works wonder

@Artick said:
The change is fine with the exception of these 2 things:
1. It shouldn't deactivate if you heal. It is possible to bring a very fast medkit or a medkit with a borrowed-time bottle or insta heal. You can be chased, drop a pallet, heal a tiny bit, loop some more, heal a tiny bit etc. This DOES NOT MEAN that you aren't being tunneled and it's a risky play by itself because you trade distance for a tiny bit of heal progress.
Please make it so healing yourself DOES NOT deactivate DS, but healing others do.es I believe this is pretty sensible and anyone who is not biased can agree: healing yourself does not rule out tunneling.
2.Less important, but unhooking someone should not deactivate DS either. It's again possible that the chase happens to go near a hooked survivor and while it may not be ideal, you can pull off some plays like dropping a pallet or confusing the killer by having unpredictable movement around obstacles and give you the tiny bit amount of time you need to unhook the survivor with BT and you both make it out. Deactivating your DS for being smart and outplaying the tunneling killer doesn't sound quite right for an anti tunneling perk(that really wasn't an anti tunneling perk at the beginning but magically turned into one).
- Agree
- If you really are smart and outplayed the killer to rescue, then you don't need DS. If you need DS tho, you're confusing "outplayed" with "outperked"
-
Yeah, 0.25 charges per second is not worth the time to kick
-
Zzzzzzzz another post of people who like to think they're special just cause they have X skin on a video game. Just let people get cool stuff and get over it
-
Well, i don't think that the "nerf" to the animations is needed, but the reduced chainsaw recharge time would be too much for a compensation. Both Bubba and Billy are in a good place right know, reliable but with enough counterplay

Then what would you recommend? I just thought having a choice in a matter would be Fun.
I honestly don't know in the current state, I don't think hatch is needed anymore. If it was for me, as soon as there's one survivor left EGC should start, no free escapes, then it wouldn't matter if the slugged one chose to die or not.

I play both sides and I think it's fine. If I wanted it to be stupidly overpowered then I would have NO timer on it they could just press the bleed out button as soon as they hit the ground.
I too play both sides, and I know it sucks to be left to bleed. But it sucks even more when one survivor kill themselves on hook just so you find the hatch with the remaining survivor butt dancing there before jumping in. Slug is the only option so this doesn't happen.
If they rework the hatch mechanic, then I'm all for it. But for now, I disagree with you
-
No, if a SWF wants to give the hatch to their buddy, let them take de DC penalty. Killers shouldn't be punished by doing well
-
If you don't use corrupt, by the time you got a decent set up 2 to 3 gens will pop. You can snowball from there, but if survivors are aware or if you make some mistakes, you're gonna have a bad time
-
Got it on the first try by farming with survivors

Yes, I was goofing around yesterday with insidious bubba NOED and I got 4k 6 times in a row, against red rank survivors. To be fair they killed themselves on the hook the moment I got undetectable, but still

Don't worry man, in 12 to 15 months it will be ready

Holding game hostage by camping? ######### are you talking about?

@jester20k said:
Yeah there's a lot of unskilled killers that apparently have never ever played survivor and don't know or care what it feels like to get singled out just so they can have a better game.
I'm assuming that you stop doing gens if the killer is doing poorly and go sandbag your teammates to give him a better chance. If you don't do that, you're a hypocrite

More often than straight up camping, there are the killers who IMMEDIATELY book it back to the hook as soon as they get the unhook notification, even if they have something better to do (like check up on gens or even chase someone else). That has absolutely nothing to do with whether you or your teammates play it well, since there is nothing they can do to stop a killer from getting notified of an unhook, obviously. My boyfriend and I both will get camped or tunneled literally just for looping well relatively often. I've had plenty of matches where the killer would even drop a chase to immediately head back to hook as soon as he heard the notification.
DS and BT aren't a guarantee that you'll survive if they decide they want you dead, but it definitely gives you a fighting chance when you don't have the actual fair playing field (being allowed to heal, pick a better position to have a chase started, etc.) available to you.
Your point isn't wrong, obviously, as there are plenty of times the team screws you over by playing poorly or you make a mistake yourself, but in MY own personal experience... I've definitely gotten the "I am gonna make sure this survivor gets deleted while I have them weak" situation just as often, if not more often, than any other scenarios and I think it's at least a little more common than you are currently giving it credit for, even though you do point out that you're speaking generally.
(As a side note, I haven't run DS in a HOT minute, and I usually don't run into any issues not running it, but within the past few weeks I've had a LOT of matches where I wish I had it equipped due to killer behavior that was completely out of my control)
Checking gens don't need to be a priority when you play killer, if you are not chasing anyone and someone got unhooked, going back there is the smart thing to do. You know for sure that there are 2 survivors there and they're probably healing under the hook (or doing a gen nearby if the unhooked has DS)

The Bloodweb system is no longer fit for purpose due to the amount of perks now in the game.
Don't worry, maybe in just 4 years they will let you get 3 perks per bloodweb
-
The ridiculous amount of time that they take to do anything
-
12 to 16 months, and it will come with some more bugs that will take twice to fix

Survivors need to do gen in order do escape. However killers need to hook 3 times survivors in order to kill. Camping and tunneling only feed your ego
Killers don't need to hook survivors 3 times in order to kill them. Just need to hook once and keep them there for 2 minutes

Finally a bug/glitch that has only positive sides, and probably will be patched ASAP. Shame that this company has this kind of mentality

-The doctor can use schock therapy without losing Insidious. That can help you to farm points while camping, denying BT or refusing the unhook when you have certain addons (hit-schock-hit with some distance), or whatever that can be used for and comes to your mind. Static blast doesn´t work.
-The Twins can bodyblock the basement stairs together, making it unable to unhook the survivors you trapped in the basement. There are a few hooks outside of the basement (Thompson house upstairs) where it can be useful too, just keep looking for it. Don´t t trap somebody that is not on the hook. It may lead to a ban.
-The Trapper gets +200 BP for every trap he sets when using the perk disstressing. This way you can farm 8000 points very quickly (fastening addons recommended) without interacting with survivors which forces them to come to you to gain BP and pips. I recommend Noed+Bloodwarden to get the rest of your points later. Its a good strategie if you dont want to chase and also good way to farm without having survivors profiting from it aswell, but forcing them to jump on your hooks for free. If they simply genrush you, everybody goes home empty.
On Thompson House, after you hook someone up there, you can block the stairs with Charllote and send Victor to spread mayhem throughout the map, thus killing the person on the hook
-
Corrupt, Pop, Opression (For gen regression and info) and BBQ for the juicy bps

It's another feature of the fifth perk called "discord". Best perk in the game

Ironically totems in the open are often missed for quite a while because people expect them to be around generators and don't look at the places where they're most visible
That's definitely not true. You don't need to look for this, you will most likely stumbles on it while you go from A to B

That was a bit abrupt... lmao. do you get stunned often or something? Not me being rude I'm just kinda taken aback but the ferocity, lol.
Just the enough amount of stuns, with some killers you can't respect pallets, and 15% extra stun time it is a lot for a perk that in the right hands already do a lot.
I still remember the Cheryl squad who had tenacity, flip-flop and power struggle and were always buzzing me around with flashlights when someone got downed...

Leave this game and get Battlefront II on Epic, that's what I did
