That would be cool. Like I mentioned in my post, if we went the Stephen King route, I would much have Jack Torrance. He's by no means anything like Rose The Hat in terms of actual power, but man do I find him scarier. If they did do a Shining Chapter though, it'd probably include Wendy rather than Danny.

That is kind of why the Springtrap hype even happened in the first place. PH opened the floodgates (more so than Bill did) and allowed for any concept to be added as a license. If they can get any killer from any franchise, why not this one?
I can see why people are worried, but honestly, with the way this game is being handled, BHVR is going to need the players.
True enough. I really thought Bill was the most we would ever get in terms of video game representation.

Minecraft Steve. If they can add it into smash, why not DbD?
The New Killer for Dead By Daylight is... The Craftsman.
A walking visage of terror, Minecraft Steve uses his twisted creativity to torment and torture.
On a serious note, if Minecraft Steve got into this game it would 100% make this game ten times funnier.

Some might be, but I will admit I am looking forward to Security Breach when it is released. It looks great and seems like it will actually start moving the story along again...
I shoulda specified - Some people are tired of it, and are gonna whine if they see it anything. I won't admit that for a while, I was real tired of it too - but I can recognize why people love it. I think when people say Springtrap wouldn't fit is that he's designed really differently compared to everyone. For the most part, a lot of the killers are more "grounded". Compared to Michael Myers and Ghostface, a rotting corpse in a bunny animatronic is out there. Then again, god damn Pyramid Head is in this game, so I think any horror icon could get into this game.

Tank from L4D.
His punch packs way too much power to only make them be Injured, but an M1 that insta-downs all the time is just bad.
His size is troublesome for tight spaces & vaults.
His rock-throw would be a worse version of Hunting Hatchets, as it'd take way too long in this game.
Love the guy and really wanted him in for a while, but now, if they put him in, he'd be so much smaller and so much weaker, i would find it disrespectful.
Never actually played L4D, but hey I could see it. On the issue of him being smaller, I'm pretty sure something similar happened to Oni. In his reveal trailer, Oni was absolutely massive but in game he's pretty much just a regular buff tall dude. Pyramid Head is bigger, but then again he has a really pointy hat.

The problem is, that the people who played it have grown up. I was fifteen when FNaF 3 came out (my first FNaF game), and now here I am at 20. Plenty of people are like me in that regard. I think many who are like you describe may have grown up and out of their zealous nature, idk.
I was not a part of the FNaF community, but just a fan of the series. So I don't really know how they acted.
I was never a huge fan of the series, but I'm in the same boat - I was 14 when the first game came out, and now I'm 20 myself. Sometimes a game just can't lose it's stereotypes, no matter how old it gets. Minecraft get's called a Kids game a lot too, despite being eleven years old. It's just how it works.
The community was... Eesh, pretty bad. Well, at least a vocal part of it was. Just... A lot of stuff. FNaF was huge and for a few years, the marker was oversaturated with fangames or just straight up clones - I think people might be tired of it.
-
@Raven014 said:
As much as it would fit, Springtrap. The community is too hostile to him as a character and doesn't bother to see the possibilities... that and they complain that they would bring the wrong kind of people.
FNaF has been around longer than DBD, and is still going strong, hell, Security Breach was announced not too long ago as a PS5 flagship title... it should not be too hard to see that it is way more popular than DBD. But no, some people still hold out on bias because of the title alone.
That, and Scott is one of the most ethical indie devs out there...
Sorry for the rant, but it just makes me get mad when I reflect on how the concept was treated when Candyman, another franchise with less memorability to FNaF, is regarded with higher esteem. It just makes no sense to me, but maybe it is a generational thing.
I think it's more or less that FNaF is seen as more of a "kids" game, despite being six years old now. Back in the day, it was known for having one of those communities, one where it just had to breach everything even if it wasn't remotely related. Kinda like Undertale - I feel like the communities kinda ruined a lot of peoples viewpoints on the game. Personally, I don't really care if Springtrap made it in - I'm not a huge fan of FNaF, but it's not like I would despise it. I would be more or less indifferent. From everything I've seen, Scott seems like a pretty chill dude though.

As far as I understand, The Demogorgon is more if an "it" than a he. I don't think it has a gender - it's a monster from another dimension. That's why we got a male and female survivor with the Stranger Things chapter, as we *normally* get a male surv with female killers and vice versa. The Blight and Felix kinda changed that though. Not saying your wrong or anything, it has been awhile since we've got a female killer.

As long as the Rift is up, you'll get fragments for any mission you complete, and yes - you can go back to any page of the current tome and complete the challenges there. Hope that helps!

And I think this is a fair, moving post. I think if we really want to be a community, rather than a weird gathering of angry Trolls and misfits, we have to learn to reign in our more angry or just petty natures. I also love this game, and I've not been around as long as you. I see the issues, but I suspect I am just naturally an optimistic person. I think for the community and the company to move forward, it has to be Win-Win. I've often suggested that they take this Forum down. All it does is spread bad PR, and on the company dime. If people are that passionate that they want to keep up the rants, let them pay for it.
The company, however, is more progressive than I am. I think that says a lot about them that we should not take for granted. I think they need a little appreciation now and then, and that it might be more reciprocated in the way people want, rather than just how the company guesses. I just think we catch more flies with honey than with vinegar.
I used to be an optimistic person, the literal day before the event I made a post about how we should at least be able to appreciate somewhat that the game has brought so many horror icons together, and I still believe that. But I've also waited, and waited for issues like this to be fixed, and it's never come. If they shut down the forums, as toxic as this place can be sometimes, I'm afraid that'd only get a ton more hate thrown towards them. Feedback, positive or negative, is important for a games lifespan. I don't know, I just want to see BHVR respond more. I understand why they don't, no matter what they do they get complaints - a unfortunate side effect to anonymity on the internet, but their responses are so often, "We've heard you, we're talking about it, we can't tell you anything more." That's not a great look. My biggest fear right now is when the new consoles roll around, the old versions will be left in the dust and ignored. I don't know. I just want this game to succeed, it's so unique. If it seemed like they were doing something for all the issues, I would probably settle back in that optimistic point of view. But as it is now, I can't see it coming.

I thought long and hard about making this post. Over the last few days I've been called a shill (by someone who doesn't understand the definition of the word), a "suck up", and apologist, and a White Knight. My crime was to have the audacity to say that I wasn't upset at the company, and that I think it is a bit unrealistic to always expect free things. I think they are a business, and already seem to give an enormous number of things away compared to other game companies I'd dealt with. It suffices to say I was not keeping to the party line. I want to put in context my own personal interactions with the company since I started playing (rather recently):
- The game didn't cost much. I bought in during a sale, and every time I've bought something there was another sale, so this may be the least expensive online game I've every bought into.
- They gave me a lot of free stuff right from the start. I came in during the last Rift, and while I didn't pay for the upgrade, I got a lot of free cosmetics just for playing the game. I thought that was pretty cool.
- I had a melt down when I had a very bad sport of a Ghostface dropped me right next to the hook when I was the last Survivor. Instead of hooking me (or waiting 60 seconds to hook me), he proceeded to dance around me and tea-bag me for the entire time until I slowly bled out. I had video of it posted it forgetting to hide the offensive guy's name at the end of the video. I got a warning (and rightly so). It was delivered to me politely and in a professional way. I was still angry, white hot as we used to say in the day. But they didn't take offense to me in private and clearly understood my concerns. I give them big ups for that. The Moderators have to put out a lot of fires and I think they are extremely even-handed when they do so.
- They kept giving me Blood Points. Over the last 1-2 months I have been given over 2.5 Million Blood Points via a direct gift from the company for inconveniences, as well as a large number of Codes. I can certainly say I was happy to get them.
- I'm a bit of a "pot-stirrer" on the Forum and the Moderators have leapt into action and fixed some of my oversights (I do TRY to abide by the rules but we all fail from time to time) and have reached out to me in a polite manner every time. They really don't get enough credit.
- I had a problem when I bought Monitor & Abuse on the Shrine when it appeared a several cycles back. While unlocked it was not showing up in my Blood Web. I reached out to a couple of different places, and the Moderators sent me to the correct one. The issue was clearly a bug and they have, as of TODAY, fixed it. Monitor & Abuse has showed up in my Blood Web! But on top of that they still gave me some more BP and refunded some of my Shards for the long delay and trouble. I didn't even ask for that.
- Not a day goes by that I don't watch this company, that has done nothing but treat me and mine extremely well, get savaged, defamed, called liars, cheats, and greedy. They do this without taking public offense, and are quite professional about it. The only bans I've witnessed were people who clearly broke the rules and were unapologetic about it. It seems you have to do a lot to actually get banned. I should know; remember I told you how I broke the rules earlier and was educated. So I give the company a lot of credit for taking far more crap than I would. They seem superhuman when it comes to patience.
- Then this event started and all hell broke loose. I'm not going to rehash it because it is still going on and we all know that the company took a few days and addressed it. We didn't express our concerns politely. We did it in a rude, obnoxious way. If it had been me, I wouldn't have given us anything. They still went back and gave me MORE free stuff. They addressed it. Again, I was impressed. I base this on a frame of reference that includes dealing with a lot of "actual" bad, greedy companies.
- And in response, what did they get from a fair number of posters here? NOT ENOUGH! WE CAN'T LET THEM GET AWAY WITH THIS! Yadda... Yadda... Yadda. Me? I would have just changed my mind and taken it back. Not them. Again with the patience.
- So I sit here, with my new Dwight-Crow that I just got from a a Streamer code and feel lucky. I know not everyone gets one, but I'm SURE.... POSITIVE in fact... that within a few weeks they will find a way to let everyone have one. That is just how they are wired. Hell, they might just give them away at the end of the darn thing. So judging by all the upcoming free stuff already announced... just for me playing the game... that I would have been doing anyway.... BHVR seems like Sandy Claws (if you get the Nightmare Before Xmas nod).
That is my context. So with this in mind, do you see why I am puzzled, annoyed, and well embarrassed by all the ruckus and noise? Thank you BHVR for being generous and far more patient than I would have been. I suspect there are more people like me than you know; many of them probably just don't frequent the Forum or simply don't want to get tarred and feathered virtually (or called Shills) for saying, "hey... I'm having a good time... thanks for the stuff."
Alright, so first I will admit freely - my post was probably undeserved. I was pissed about the event, along with a multitude of real life things, and I took it out on BHVR on the forums. I can see all the points you made, and for any backlash you got over my post, I'm sorry. That wasn't really my intention at all, I just needed to vent.
My problem with BHVR right now is the multitude of other problems that have been completely ignored. No free skins, whatever - I don't care. At least it's not a loot box system or something like that. The free skins was my main point because of how it felt like, to me, BHVR wasn't doing anything for their consumers. In the end, the game is nothing without their community, and this didn't really prove to me and a lot of other people that they care about their community.
Because other than the event, the skins, whatever - this patch actively broke the game on PS4, introduced a torrent of new bugs, and bugs that are well over a year old now still remain in the game. This patch was a huge step in the wrong direction, at least to me. BHVR has addressed the PS4 problem, I'll give them that, but that doesn't change the fact that the console versions are incredibly poorly optimized, and they have been for a long, long time despite promises to fix it. There are still so, so many bugs in this game that have been there for months. Sound is always a huge one, as it seems they somehow manage to break sound more and more with each passing patch. There's a bug where some survivors will be completely silent on the ground. And it has been there for more than a year at this point. Patches like this, and events like this where the whole theme is "buy, buy, buy!" when there are still so many broken things, yes, seem greedy to me. I don't care about free stuff nearly as much as I just want them to fix their game. From my point a view, these patches focus on quantity rather than quality.
I completely understand why, at the end of the day they are a company and they need to make money, but with every patch they make that introduced new bugs and new problems to an already huge array? They need to do something, and none of their responses have been super great. So, yeah, BHVR does give us stuff like BP, and even as I am thankful for the current login rewards, the game is broken, and they're not making big enough strides to fix it. Free currency doesn't change that. I love this game, and what it's managed to do, and I don't want to see it fail, but in the current way it's headed I don't see it lasting much longer. I don't know.

@NomiNomad Don't respond to this guy's bait. It's blatantly obvious he's arguing in bad faith.
At this point, I just don't care. I didn't mean to start some war about whether the community is entitled or not. I just don't wanna see this game fail, and I don't see it lasting if so much of the community feels like BHVR doesn't care, or that they're greedy. Who knows though, I'm no psychic.

I would point out that negative feedback loops like this don't benefit the community at all. They divide it and give bad press to anyone new coming in here. It sets up a notion that it is an us versus them. If you cared one bit about the community you would be creating a positive feedback loop. :)
People have tried to provide positive feedback - but lately there is none? Wow, devs, congrats on bringing back infinites with the excuse of 'bReAkAbLe WaLl'. Wow devs, congrats for making some versions of your game literally unplayable. Wow devs, congrats for making another non event. This last patch has done nothing to convince me BHVR cares about us. The amounts of negative feedback are important for a game and it's life cycle. And as others, and myself, have said - just because you see the realism behind their decision doesn't give you the right to call others entitled for wanting something so trivial. 'Pathetic' as I saw you put it. Nobody wants to see this game fail, but when it feels like the game devs barely care about their community, the very thing keeping them afloat, yeah - I feel like people have a right to complain. Negative feedback is just as important as positive, and when there is this much negative feedback they should take notice.

I want to start by saying I am not employed by BHVR, nor is any member of my family (or any of my friends for that matter). I want to remind everyone that they are a business. Selling us the game, DLC, and cosmetics is their only revenue stream. The fact that they give us anything free at all is a net loss to them. They give free stuff out frequently enough. I play a lot of video games. This one is probably the least expensive one. I have to wonder about the entitlement I hear in posts like these. The ironic thing is BHVR is also paying for this very Forum which you are complaining about them on. Crazy right?
I want to remind everyone that you do not pay a subscription fee. You bought the game but pay nothing for the upkeep of the servers, the site, etc. Once you buy in you can play for as long as the game exists. Nothing requires you to buy new Killers, new Survivors, or all these cosmetics. Do you want to know how many cosmetics I've bought? Well, you probably don't care, but I've bought zero. I don't buy make-believe outfits. I'll take and use the free stuff. I'm not, however, going to complain about them not giving me enough free stuff.
Take a step back, take a deep breath, and think about this situation and your expectations. They are not reasonable.
So let me get this straight. Two free skins, that you have to grind for, is unreasonable? Sound the alarms everyone, TWO free skins are gonna drive BHVR down. I'm not denying the fact that buying everything is their main source of revenue stream - that's not what I'm asking for at all. I am fine with buying new DLC's, new killers, new survivors, whatever. That is fine. I don't buy skins because I personally don't care about them - the skins aren't the problem.
True, we don't have to pay for a subscription or anything of the like. But there are far more games where you don't have to do that either, and you can still get plenty of things for free. The problem is a decision like this, especially compared to past events, makes BHVR come across as greedy. Is BHVR as big a company as Blizzard, EA, whatever - No, not by a long shot. Just because BHVR made the game, pays for it, does not mean we can't complain about the nutty decisions they make. If this game was a F2P then yes, I could understand this, but it isn't. I've seen F2P's give more free items than BHVR ever has.
If we look at how much DbD is, and how much it would cost to get all the DLC's this game already costs more than typical AAA games. With all the people that also pay for skins, and also pay for the Rift's, I somehow seriously doubt two free skins that not everyone would get would break their bank. The biggest problem I have is this event feels like such a gigantic middle finger to the community, the very people who keep the game alive. We get some charms, a lot of which are still exclusive, and a barren free track filled with recolors. People have a right to be disappointed. The reasoning of "Oh, they have to make money!" Doesn't mean anything when they already make money on everything else the game has done. Even if you're not disappointed, or you're alright with the even doesn't mean you can call the people who are, who have completely valid reasoning unreasonable because they want a couple free skins. Per year. This event added with all the bugs, the terrible optimization - it leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I don't feel like BHVR cares about the community.
-

Well small correction, you don't HAVE to buy cosmetics or the battlepass
Do agree with the rest though. It's a double shame as the new blighted skins are the best ones yet. Even being able to get one for free without having to clock 500 ingame hours would have been nice
I'm not sure if all the budget is going into updating the new maps but there seems to be a pretty obvious decrease in effort as far as events go since they started with it
That's completely true, I didn't really mean to phrase it like that. What I really mean is that if you want a skin, you have to buy it - which is fine, but for an event like this, where we've gotten skins for free in the past before? No.

Nah the case is about to end as they already announced merch and there is a new movie coming out.
I didn't know that actually. Still, I don't think Jason is a very likely candidate. If the legal battle stops, I figure the game might actually get some more updates. If F13 the game like officially dies, then maybe - but as Jason already has his own game, however dead it may be, I don't see it happening.
-
No, I don't really think so. Those are two fan films. The intellectual property of Jason, and Friday the Thirteenth in general is still in legal hell, and probably will be for a long time. I'm no lawyer, but I don't think that DbD could take from a Fan Film at all.

Well, the problem with this is that it won't make completing all 70 tiers of the rift faster -- you'll get the challenges done much faster sure and that'll boost you super fast for the first half of the rift, but then you're left having to grind the rest of the tiers by playing hundreds of games.
That said, only being able to select one challenge is still dumb. Shouldn't have to select challenges period, imo.
That's fair. I just feel like it might make it a little less grindy, at least for the rift shards in the tome. Who knows though.

I'm not sure about the not-leaving scratchmarks exhaustion perk, though. It would just be a much better version of Dance with Me or Poised
That's a completely fair thought, but I thought it may be a good idea - it'd be better than those perks, sure, but at cooldown and using it would eliminate any chance of using things like Dead Hard, Sprint Burst, which means it should be better. Just a perk for stupid meme builds really, but still fun.

I've never thought that survivors should have so much power over a killer that they could prevent the use of their ability entirely.
Disarming Trapper's traps
Lightburning shrouded Wraith
Destroying Hag's traps
To a lesser degree...
Breaking Ghost out of stealth
Not cleansing versus the Plague before her buff.
There are probably good arguments why the first 3 examples work, and the other 2 examples are less impactful, but I've always thought that it would be much healthier if survivors could only react and avoid those particular killer powers much like the other killers rather than being able to actively disable them.
The Ghost's might not be so bad if a survivor couldn't break him out of stealth while they were completely obstructed by an object preventing the Ghost from being able to see the survivor who revealed him.
But I digress.
I can understand the disarming of Trapper's traps, if he traps a building with only a few entraces - like the Killer Shack, or even the basement in the game, the Survivor is straight screwed if they can't disarm it. It's certainly a very irritating mechanic sometimes, but I understand why it's there.
The same could be said about Hag traps, but I don't know. I don't play enough Hag or play against Hag enough to weigh in on this conversation enough.
I do however play a lot of Wraith, and lemme tell you - back when there was that bug that allowed Surv's to chain stun Wraith by burning him, it was hell. I don't understand why Wraith, who is already one of the weaker killers in the game, is countered even more than others with such a common item.
As for the other two, I feel Plague is probably in a good spot with her buff. Nobody plays her, so no clue.
Ghostie is another killer I play a lot, and I just wish they'd fix his Reveal mechanic on both ends. Nothing like staring at a Ghostface for 10 seconds and not getting the reveal, for some reason, or playing Ghostface and being revealed by a person literally behind a wall, that shouldn't be able to see you.
-
Straight up, no matter how often I play every single time I'm the last alive, the killer has NOED, and I'm trying to open the exit gate my heart is pounding.

It depends on the cosmetic. Play with Meyers wearing a hospital gown and you will easily kill me. Those legs are hard to resist.

Worse, the devs say that...
Ooof. I did not know that. Haven't they also said they want this game to have E-Sports presence? That can't really happen without competitive mode.

What killer would be like "Yeah, I'm going to line up in the Competitive Queue!" There'd be no killers there. So competitive mode would be a survivor lobby simulator.
I think it's unfair to assume every killer wants to play casually. I would enjoy a competitive queue as long as I knew what I was getting into. Besides, as long as there were incentives - maybe exclusive 'competitive' skins, or even auric cells I think more people would play.

Do you feel like releasing new content quarterly is doing more harm than good for DBD, especially within the past few DLC's? I've been saying this since before they released the Plague, that they should slow down due to the fact that more bugs seem to come with every DLC. However, it has gotten to the point where so much new content is being released that game-breaking bugs are everywhere and seem to become more prevalent. IMHO, they should work on fixing bugs/improving game performance and maybe release more cosmetics / a new map rather than rushing new DLC's. It's not working for them.
I do support the idea of them taking time to fix bugs, balancing updates, but at the end of they day BHVR is a company, and a company needs to make money. Other then cosmetics and tomes, chapters are the main way they make money - other than the game just being bought. Maybe with the introduction of the tomes they could make it work. Another issue is if they stop pumping out new characters and perks, the game could get stale pretty quickly. No matter what they do, they'll probably get complaints and get called lazy, or greedy. It's tough.

That would never fly, literally over half the games have a 2-, 3- or 4-person swf. Being able to play with your friends is a huge part of the game.
I think as long as the new matchmaking system properly increases the ratings of groups that include swfs that would help keep them facing relativelu tougher killers than the all solo groups face. No need for a separate queue that would introduce a bunch of other problems like splitting the playerbase and balancing differently for the different queues, etc.
That's a good point. It's not just in this game, in any game a team of friends are probably gonna have an advantage, but DbD is so unique that I feel it's probably harder to balance.

Seeing all those JUMPER HACKERS I noticed how fun and cool would be having a killer with such power
Some of you already enjoyed jumping with the HillBillie glitch tho...
Support? Maybe Jeeper Creepers ep would be a candidate?

As far as I understand, a Jeepers Creepers chapter probably won't happen due to the director (or some other important part of the movie, I can't really remember) is a utter piece of human garbage, and the Dev's don't wanna support him. Unfortunate, but true.

I´d be all for it! Everyone that plays DBD a lot knows the feeling...you wanna have some chill matches only to be faced by the most tryhard opposition imaginable (nothing wrong with that per se) or you´re all hyped up to do some serious slashing only to down a whole team in 2 minutes because they´re more casual.
Splitting to 2 qeues with certain adjustments would be really great. I´m worried that the notorious bullying BM SWF squads would hijack the casual qeue to have even easier prey, though.
Yeah, that's a big thing so I made a bit of an edit to specify that SWF would either be limited or completely disabled in a casual gamemode. That's probably way too harsh, but SWF is a really tough thing to balance, so I have no idea. If that happens, it get's rid of the people who want to play casually but with friends.

Disabling swf in casual mode maybe?
That was something I probably shoulda specified, yeah. In a 'casual' queue, SWF would be disabled. Might be too harsh, I don't know. SWF is a really hard thing to balance.

Because the most successful and popular games have only ONE game mode and only ONE queue of course!
For real, I would love this. You can practice weird builds or new killers, mess around with your friends and not worry about de-pipping because they brought a mori.
I haven't been on the forums that long, do people actually say that? Weird.

I once had a game as Ghostface where a player DC'ed the second I hit them. I was trying to get a daily done, so after I got my daily done I simply let the remaining survivors farm and escape. At one point I hid behind a generator with Nightshroud and grabbed one of the surv's that started working on it. After the game was done, I was just expecting to move on but the survivor I grabbed messaged me asking why I let them live, and that I was really good. It was really heartwarming, and is a huge reason I try not to be toxic even when I get facecamped to death.

I know it's a bit off topic, but it really irks me that he's called THE DEATHSLINGER
That name is so cheesy. They should have just called him THE OUTLAW and that would have been 10x better
I 100% agree. Even The Gunslinger would've been better, like I know it's not an actual gun but The DEATHSlinger comes off really dumb, at least in my opinion.

Well then she needs to be The Spirit Face
To match better, all Killer's now have "Face" on the end of their name.
The Hillbilly Face
The Demogorgon Face
The Deathslinger Face

I was actually just thinking about this the other day. But, I believe it's because we already have "The Spirit". Spirit and Ghost are basically the same thing. And calling it "Ghost Face" is referencing the Mask he is wearing. Not necessarily calling them a "ghost".
I guess, but I remember way, waaaay back when he was first leaked the images just showed him being called "The Ghost", and i think it fits. He's sneaky, invisible if he tries to be - watching from the shadows.

I think this was answered canonically, that the Killers can't meet each other outside of the trials, except for the Legion, who are always together (I like to imagine them all back in the Ormond Resort).
But on that note its always fun to imagine. Ghostface would probably be really comfortable around the Legion and Amanda, thinking about it they're all still pretty human, and they don't have these superpowered abilities. Pig literally just crouches, and her traps are the ones she designed and used herself. Hillbilly and Bubba, the chainsaw brothers, they'd get along well too. They're similar in their lore, and they can probably connect on a level of both feeling like outsiders from the rest of the world. It would make sense that they would seek each other out. I feel like some of the Killers physically aren't in the same grasp of the entity as the others, like Demo. I feel like they spend a lot of their time in the Upside Down, hunting and breeding. He is a wild animal, technically, and he can access the other world in the trial, so it's not out of the question that he could go there outside of the trials too. Would you think this is the same with PH? I've never played silent Hill, so honestly I have no clue how anything works in relation to that
I know I'm a bit late to this, but in regards to Pyramid Head - probably nothing. I'm by no means an expert on Silent Hill, and Konami hasn't really stayed true to the lore of the first three games, but as far as Silent Hill 2 goes, all the monsters are made from the psyche of the people within. Pyramid Head in specific represents the main character's, James Sunderland, desire to be punished for his guilt - along with being a dark, twisted version of his psyche.. There's a lot more to Pyramid Head (he does some pretty messed up stuff in Silent Hill, I'd say darker than pretty much the rest of the cast aside from Freddy), but his main purpose is to punish James. That is literally it. He is the judge, jury, and executioner. (Ba-dum tiss) So, within in the lore of DbD, James has moved on from Silent Hill so I imagine all Pyramid Head does is wait for new victims to judge, dragging his great knife through the halls of Midwich. If there are any Silent Hill experts out there though, I'd be glad to hear if I'm wrong.
