What about the aspect of denying info perks?
Not everyone runs info perks. If everyone did then maybe it'd be an ok perk, but most games I don't see any.
-
Against solos its mediocre at best. They still know where survivors are hooked, where generators have been completed and where exit gates are. This doesn't even take into account that swf exists that can deny all this and that not a lot of people use aura related perks.
-
Scrapping or disabling them would be impossible as there are both archive challenges and achievements related to them. While the former is mostly fine, the latter isn't as Steam, Microsoft and Sony aren't too fond of achievements having to be changed and I doubt the devs would want to make one of them impossible.
Regarding the moris being changed before keys, it's because moris are much easier to change. The only values related to them are amount of hooks and the amount of people that die to them. Keys on the other hand, are a lot harder to balance due to them having a lot more variables.
-
One thing that would make him much more tactical imo is making it so that laceration doesn't decrease. If that's too confusing or too strong, just make him 115 as he isnt strong enough to be a 110 killer.
-
I find it fine for the most part. Usually the brown and yellow ones are just recolours, and we don't have enough green or purple ones to judge too much.
Even if they aren't varied too much, I'm happy with how they look and how easy they are to mix and match.
-
I'd reccomend reporting this in the bug section.
Additionally, I can confirm this does not occur on Xbox Series X.
-
Crowd Control, or, if you can get it, Bamboozle. He needs the blocked windows to be anyway decent.
-
Any killer that can one hit down at base is fine as they all have obvious counters.
-
Series X runs fine for me.

oh man, you must be pretty bad at survivor, i just gave you counters and you dismiss them and stick with drop pallet hold w, it's fools like you who inflate freddys kill rate, easy prey
Killer main here (before you say I'm also part of the reason he has high kill rates), I agree with everything @MadLordJack had to say.
Even an average Freddy will spam snares to start of with and if they placed one that you deactivate then not only have you given him info that not only you're at that part of the map, but also that you're doing jack ######### at the moment. He can just place that snare right back without any slowdown.
Continuing on, the only ways to wake up from his power are:
- Being hooked
- Failing a skill check
- Going to an alarm clock
- Having another survivor wake you up
And there are problems with all of these. The hooked one should be obvious as you don't want to get hooked, failing a skill check let's him know where you are and its it on a gen then he could be reporting right over, going to an alarm clock wastes a lot of time and if another survivor wake you up then they're after doing one of those three things themselves. And all for being passively put back to sleep again.
The only thing listed that can somewhat count as counterplay is stealth, but he can see survivors much easier due to everything appearing brighter to him. Additionally, if not getting into a chase in the first place is the only good counter to him (so he has none in the chase) then the killer is OP if you like it or not. And if you don't like it then just remain biased or inexperienced. I'm not sure which one it is but I won't guess.
-
He has the highest kill rate out of all killers and is one of the easiest killers to play as he gets everything either passively (Survivors sleeping) or gets them really easily (Spammable dnares).
Additionally, he has everything. A good chase power, good map mobility, good slowdown and he hides his TR. He's not the best at anything, but he's a great killer regardless that does need a nerf.
-
This is some extremely flawed logic...
-
It's ok I guess. Problem is survivors tend to hide up until the doors are unblocked and if the doors are spaced out too far then usually they'll get a door open before you can make use of it.
I much prefer Agitation, Iron Grasp, Mad Grit and Starstruck with Bubba if we are looking at perks from Trickster that work well in meme builds.
-
From what I'm aware, no changes up until the mid chapter patch.
-
One of the most fair perks in the game. It displays it well to the survivors that it's in use, while it also can only block one window at a time.
Overall an extremely balanced perk that's great on many killers.
-
Originally it was directional if I recall correctly. It was made non directional as it greatly countered her.
-
I wonder if that could count as holding the game hostage...
-
Aight I'll start off with his power. Although it would be extremely fun, swf would completely ruin it as you can just say to your friend "Hey, is that you coming to me or is that the killer disguised as you?". His traps however seem great, and his head on like ability also seems fun, although it could promote camping. I'm not a fan of Frail Body either, a killer shouldn't have a hindrance to them other than their height, movement speed and TR (which for some killers isn't a hindrance) OR that their power is strong but restricted (Hillbillys restricted turning, Slingers restricted range, Nurses fatigue).
Onto the killer perks
Sick and Tired seems way too strong, and I fear that it would pair too well with Thanataphobia even if it didn't have the skill check part, although I do like the concept of survivors being hindered while a team mate is being chased.
Hex: Obsessions Honor seems too weak. Even if it wasn't a hex I don't think it would be worthwhile running simply because it'll usually only be one survivor, and possibly no survivors depending if the obsession has a med kit or is hooked first.
Finally, Endangered Experience. It's a decent perk. Although it's kind of niche, its effect is powerful once you get it and I wouldn't change it any way due to such. Quick question however, what happens if a key is used and multiple survs are left?
Aight onto the survivor perks.
Just Business is similar to a perk concept I've thought of a lot, however, my opinion has always stayed the same on it, in that you shouldn't be able to be healed while progressing the game majorly. It would simply increase gen rushing. The haste status effect is fine IF it doesn't apply to healing yourself, and maybe the healed survivor must be below 50% while you start healing them for it to take effect.
Spoiled is a great idea. A perk that rewards you for doing totems. We truly do need more perks that reward totems being cleansed, and the perk does so much to help. Definitely the best of the three survivor perks balance wise.
Rush hour seems mostly fine, 12% isn't too major so it should be balanced for the most part.
Next, lore.
Webster Harvs lore is great. The concept of a survivor gone killer is something I've always liked the idea of, and this lore executes it perfectly.
Jeremy Gates lore is also good, and it's nice to see his relations to Evan Macmillan, additionally we don't really have a "rude" survivor yet (Nea could be rude but her archives makes her out that she isn't).
Onto the add ons, if I don't mention it presume the add on is fine.
Broken Syringe completely removes the point of his power tbh. He needs to be slower otherwise survivors will recognise that it's the killer instantly.
David's scull add on qoute is great. That's all I had to say.
For Claudettes Skull, when you say "Instantly kill" do you mean mori? Or just exposed?
Iridescent DS picture is a no, now you have a situation where you want to be disguised at all times because you're faster than you are at base.
Last but not least, pull the plug seems weak.
Overall this was an interesting chapter concept to read and I hope to see more soon!
-
Unfortunately the devs have said they won't do this as it's too much work having to change it for every new killer that has a chase power.
-
Even though I'm not a PC player, this feature is one that I'd love to be added to the game, as I know how it can feel to receive that ######### after matches.
-
My view on it is that although it should remain the way it is, it should atleast give you a hit if the grab doesn't register.
-
Huntress due to her practically having an infinite range while only needing one shot to do so and being able to have multiple shots (hatchets) at once.
-
Although I used to be 50/50, now I only really play survivor for Archive challenges or dailys. I do have the odd game in the morning when queues are long for killer too.
-
This looks really good! Much better than most of the survivor cosmetic submissions I've seen so far!
-
When you're done it can you @ me?
-
I'm definitely one of the luckier people here, I'm yet to run into a hacker since starting dbd.

I would disagree, but okey gimme a 1 killer perk which will counter 100% impove healing time
Sloppy butcher is the closest, but that activates on hit, while we'll make it only activates on unhook.
Sloppy Butcher is much more comparable to Botany Knowledge, as we'll make it has restrictions to it.

Iron Will nerfed for what? You can use stridor.
It's one of the strongest perks in the game that removes a bit of knowledge that the killer has in a chase, if it were to be nerfed however it wouldn't need a major one, not something that made you louder though.
-
From my experience, we are in the most balanced state we have been in a long time. Yes survivors are still the power role, but being gen rushed is a rare occurrence. Looping the killer for multiple gens is also a rare occurrence.
The only perk that really needs a nerf now on the survivor side would probably be Dead Hard and maybe Iron Will, while a ton of them need buffs. Killers do need alot more changes then just that but they'll come eventually.
Also comparing Sloppy and We'll make it is a poor choice.
-
There are loads of people on all consoles and on PCs who are toxic or just play like this. I've seen loads of stuff similar to such regardless of console.
Also, I'm going to shoot down the cross-platform chat idea unless there's an option to turn it off, as I can barely take toxicity without getting told that I'm ######### at the game and all that so I can't imagine me being able to deal with that.
-
I get slugged every few games, not a common occurrence I'll admit.
-
Either this or make it so that you can use a fourth perk of your choice.
-
Although I like the concept of a game where we could fight the killers, it unfortunately wouldn't be canon to the lore as the entity makes the killers invincible as fair as I'm aware.

That is exactly my point why we need suicide while downed feature implemented. Your solution is not a real solution. Not everyone wants to go "make a sandwich" or "watch YouTube" - when I am gaming, I want to game, not do something else because someone is abusing the game.
If its abusing the game then why are there perks based around being slugged?
-
If the cosmetic team is working on the pallet bugs then we are really in a ######### state.
-
If you really want to, you can use technician to reduce the noises of the generators, your call though.
-
I've actually had four since the release of Trickster (all of which were games that I played poor on) which was really nice of those survivors that did such.
Previously however, no, although I never really got curb stomped in the first place if I'm being honest.

If we are going off this list, then yes.
However, anyone who plays DBD even a bit knows Jeff is the best survivor.

Sometimes you get really lucky
Really lucky, although one tip is you need to tunnel someone out of the game as early as possible. Once you do that it's all about how good or bad the survivors are.

tbh at least with J flick there is counterplay. Worst part is in the same video there is a clip of ayrun(guy who does it here) complaining about killers complaining about exploits. I find it so ironic he is like "oh killers always blame survivors for exploits survivors just blame the devs" while he is actively exploiting. I lowkey wonder if he said those thing in the same stream. I already disliked ayrun but this ######### is next level irony.
What I also hate is he goes on about how the killer just got "kek teched" almost making it out as if the killer was bad for it happening to him despite it not being in his power.
And although J Flick does have some counter play, he's strong enough that he doesn't need the J Flick, and to add onto it, it does actually reduce his overall counter play.
-
I'm not exactly sure how, but I got it in two matches...

It honestly just looks like windowtech to me and I searched it up found an old post and apparently the diffrence is kek tech you need to fastvault for
Thanks for sending me that dude.
Aight after seeing it, yeh that can go. There's literally nothing a killer can do against that from what I can tell. Similar to the J Flick, that's not a tech, that's an outright exploit.
-
Apologies for asking, but does anyone have a clip of this "kek tech" as I'll admit I've no idea what it is.

The game would be more fun for killers if we could also have the advantages of perks without bringing them. Survivors use items all the time, and I can't make them drop items without Franklin's. How do I get my name on the list of players that want advantages but don't want the "unfun" requirement of using a perk slot?
Other than keys, most items are fine. Gens going too fast is a bigger problem, which also needs something like an early game start up where gens are slower for the first while or something like that.
Basically, many things need changes to make them more fun for both sides without perks being required.
-
This looks really good! If this won the contest I think I'd have to switch to being a Feng main.
-
@SilentPill said:
All you need to know is that it gets completely bypassed with a key and is worthless half the time because of that
How much keys do you face if its "half the time"?
Do you dodge lobbies up until you find someone with a key in it?

Not gonna stop me from playing him though.

Otz or Scott I can't remember who, stated once that DS was so overpowered that it wasn't being used for anti-tunneling just as a shield.
You could notice there was a problem since survivors could use DS against you even if you weren't tunnelling...
This was a MAJOR red flag.
Survivors had basically 4 minutes of immortality in total if they all run DS.
Almost all gens can pop in 5 minutes, this is an interesting comparison.
If you didn't get DSed they had a full minute god shield AFTER EACH UNHOOK. This was completely crazy.
This meant that one survivor could be unhook and after 40 seconds, which is a long time, if I come across this survivor which I clearly wasn't tunnelling, I'd get DSed.... So #########?
On top of that, during those 40 seconds they were chilling on gens.
For real, people who stopped using this perks, those weren't using DS for specifically anti-tunnelling reasons.
I'm not denying any of that, all of that is true and it did need a nerf, but something does need to be done to reduce tunneling without making DS an overpowered perk again.
-
Although more people should use DS with the issues of tunneling, something does have to be done to make tunneling less common. If it be DS working like Nemesis, an obsession being base game regardless or something else, but something does need to be done.
Old DS was overpowered, and this change is a step in the right direction, but its undeniable that the game for survivors is a lot less fun especially in solo queue where you can't just tell your friend "Hey, we should all run DS so tunneling doesn't work."
