I have alot of fun with Outlast Trials but it's PVE not PVP. There is a PVP mode thats rumored to be coming but there's no official info, just what people have guessed from looking in files and based on that seems it'll be closer to something like randomly invading other players trials. You can play solo but I personally am not a fan of completing trials by myself so I play in a duo. You can also play with randoms. It has multiple difficulties you can choose from as well as a Trial Maker where you can take a regular trial and add different variants to it that you like.
Ghostbusters Spirits Unleashed I'd say is the most casual for pvp assym. It's not an elimination like DBD. As Ghost your job is to haunt the map, as Ghostbusters you need to capture the Ghost 4 times (or once if you destroyed the 3 rifts that let them respawn) before the building is haunted. Once a map is 100% haunted there is countdown - depending on how many rifts are left determines how much time the Ghostbusters have to find and catch the ghost. Ghost side tends to be the more hide/seek side since you can hide in objects from the Ghostbusters (unless you're playing 1 specific type of ghost but the trade off is they can make new rifts).
Killer Klowns, while I have fun, I don't think it'll be what you're looking for. Stealth really only works at the beginning before the Klowns are able to use the balloon dog to find anyone. It's designed more to be a fight back game than hide and seek.
Omg, wait… that Ghostbusters game sounds like it would be so fun to watch! I’m going to look it up tonight! 😄

I always wanted to try icon packs from Nightlight, i thought they look cool and i want to try them but I'm nervous that i might get banned for using them, can people get banned for using them or is it safe to use?
I would just stick to the popular perk packs if you’re concerned about being banned for using them. I’ve used them for years and have never had issues, nor have I heard of anyone else having issues.

I mean like half year ago getting that flying and scaeming dwight was rare to see and funny, bigger part of cheaters pool the subtle ones tried to hide their cheats but now from fnaf chapter they are on and they dont hide them anymore just speeding and teleporting in your face or doing gens with zero progress in 30 seconds after you checked them no shame.
Tbh, if I were a hacker, this is the kind of hacking I would do. Make a lot of funny actions and such here and then, and then play to game as normal. No gen rushing, instant slugging, etc.
Might-as-well try to have everybody have fun with it if I’m gonna ruin the match for everybody else anyway.

I'm a 2016 veteran, pretty much know the game inside out, but I can't figure out what perk or effect does locked totems?? How does BHVR expect new players to figure it out? I can't even find it through google. Wrong wording maybe, I don't know. It's also super rare, cause I've only seen it happen about twice in a year, so…
Either way, I sometimes get in a situation at endgame where a totem is locked… I always assume its NOED or something, so I leave, cause I dont know any better…
Thanks <3
Is it Hex: Fortune’s Fool? When a survivor is hooked, they become hexed and oblivious until the totem is cleansed. For the first 2 minutes out so, the totem can only be cleansed by the survivor afflicted by it.
Edit: I see someone already answered the question. Never mind! Lol

Dropped a relatively new survivor right beside hatch to crawl in and they crawled away. Picked them up took to hatch, let them wiggle off. They ran away and died to timer.
In a different game took a survivor to exit gate as they had played well doing gens. Instead of opening gate they ran to other open gate, after looping around first gate a few times, and died to timer.
Need a sign that says open here and enter hatch here.
Then you get the toxic ones. On death hook don't stand and t-bag at two pallets and get downed, hooked and dead.
Two games in a row.
Run away your on death hook.
Guess it was more important to give me a t-bag for a nice cup of tea.
Followed by a cheater who disappeared on chases and blinded me with a flashlight even though I had lightborn.
Didn't escape.
For the love of God if you're going to cheat at least be good enough to get out.
I feel sorry for good survivors getting new players or toxic wanna be's.
And love the locker and pallets spamming at open exit gate.
Yes I'm so going to run to the gate to get t-bags and watch you run out like heroes.
I've lost and already waiting on next game not engaging with your nonsense.
And before you bombard with killer behaviour this is ment as a humorous take on survivor behaviour in recent games not a rant because winning doesn't matter to me.
Give me 9 hooks and 3 escapes over 4 hooks 4k game all day long.
From what I’ve gathered is not all players like being “given the win”. It is generous of you, but if anyone crawls away from you giving them an escape, they most likely are one of those players and they want you to take your deserved kill.
For me personally, I feel like I’m being disrespectful if a killer tries to offer me hatch and I refuse. I might be a little cute like bag with you, drop my item and nod or something, but I’ll leave. I feel like it’s kind of like refusing a gift someone is trying to offer you. Plus, I don’t want to waste anybody’s time, spectators or killer.
I’m sorry you’re dealing with a lot of toxic players. :( the events seem to bring out some excessive toxicity, sadly.

I dont really see those Perks a lot. The most common one out of your list is Resurgence, but nothing has changed that it would be used more often. And it also gets somewhat destroyed by Hemorrhage, since it only takes like three seconds until the healing progress is gone.
I have not seen Botany Knowledge since the Buff. And Duty of Care is obviously just a Joke of a Perk - just the usual, a Perk which was called "problematic" or "scary" and in the end it does barely anything.

I've been noticing a huge Difficulty Spike in my matches lately sense the Go Next Pervention System. I might know why it's much harder for 3 reasons
"Reason 1: sense now players are now forced to stay in matches it's now showing not only the Killers Real Skill but also Survivors. I find this good because it will show actual Kill Rates for Killers and give them the Nerfs or Buffs they need to make them better.:"
"Reason 2: The Spawning System is Spawning Survivors much closer together making finding Survivors take longer and by the time you find someone they already done two Gens. Honestly I think this maybe a good thing for survivors but not for Killer because this add another reason and that's Killers are kinda made to play much harsher to Keep up:"
"Reason 3: the game is massively unbalanced on both sides at the moment. Survivors can just Heal in 2 secs after unhooking a survivor and stuff becoming basekit for survivors and nothing Basekit for Killers will make it much much harder for Killers who need Injures to be Functional. Killers are having new Abilities without much counter play making playing Survivor harder. But once we get used to the new Systems I'm sure it will be fine once stuff Settles:"
I don't see these reasons bad if I had to blame anything for the game being harder it was the Go Next Epidemic and those who started it. I know this will be hated but I as a Killer main this made me mad for Survivors who did actually Tried and now they suffered from the rath of the bugged Go Next Pervention System when it was released.
Reason #1 does not hold up the way you think it does. If someone wants to go next, they will not play in that match. I had a Renato go into 2nd state yesterday because I was on hook, someone was injured, and the healthy person was hit on the way to save. He ended up going into 2nd from it and ran around the map throwing every single pallet and then running in circles. The killer ignored him and he was the last alive and could’ve gotten hatch. :))))))))) thankfully he didn’t.

5… million… and only 80 cakes…

To address tunneling they must address killers without travel power who are forced to tunnel because they cant patrol the whole map effectively. Many maps are simply too large.
This has been a BIG problem with a lot of the older killers. There’s no way to solve this without outright reworking many of the killers into something completely different than who they were.
For example: how do you fix Ghostface…? There’s nothing lore-wise (or license-wise that would be acceptable by the license holder) that allows him to traverse the map quickly.
I guess maybe make him another Houndmaster and allow him to do mini stalks through cameras near survivors and while he follows a path to the found survivor, he goes X faster? Idk. But then you also have to solve every other M1 killer, like Myers, etc.

The heart VFX (terror radius visualization) isn’t for people who are deaf.
It was made purely to make the game easier for regular survivors with perfectly good hearing.
Here’s why:Pretend you're deaf and try playing the game for just a few seconds.
The match starts and you begin repairing the generator right in front of you.
A skill check pops up!
But wait—you can’t hear the skill check sound.Oh wow. Just 15 seconds into the game as a deaf player, and it’s painfully obvious:
You can’t hear the skill check warning sound. So logically, there should be a visual indicator when a skill check appears, right?
But there's nothing. How hard would it have been to add that? The reason is simple:
The terror radius visualization was never truly meant for accessibility.
It was created so regular survivors could more easily react to even the faintest sounds from the killer. And now you have the nerve to say it was made for deaf players?
What a joke.I don’t have any hearing issues, but I still use the heart beat visualizer. I use it because I can’t tell the freaking distance of a terror radius anymore… I could easily tell when TRAPPER is coming because the basic heart beat is VERY clear how far away the killer is.
Tell me, without playing this game much, how far away Spirit is… her terror radius sounds exactly the same, whether she’s 32 meters or 12 meters, just louder… for someone who doesn’t play much anymore, I quite literally just can’t tell how far away killers are anymore because their music stays the same. There is no tone shift for how far away they are.
NOW throw me against a very well made terror radius, like Deathslinger, and I can tell he’s coming any day of the week. It actually sounds like he’s getting closer. I can easily hear the terror radius theme shift as he gets closer. Same with the basic heart beat. Nearly all newer killer releases have this Spirit issue these days. Generic radius that has no defining features how far away the killer is.

Is the game autofilling addons and perks? shouldnt it be blank?
Ive seen the login in my steam acc and there is no strange logins, so im having a dangerous case of alzheimer or the game is autofilling blank spaces in builds, also i've noticed that sometimes the game just wont save the loadout anymore when you reboot it the old loadout saved replaces the new one you made.
OH! Have you locked your game files in “read only” mode at any point?? I did that and kept trying to turn the heart beat visualizer on EVERY time I booted up the game. It was annoying me. I forgot I did that so the 120 FPS trick wouldn’t change settings in my file, which stopped the game from officially saving my changes after logging off.

Actually not a bad idea. A2M should hire you.
Literally the entity. The god of the game is telling you. If the game was “kill by any means,” the entity wouldn’t be displeased in you for playing like a jerk (entity displeased ending). This is a GAME. It’s meant to be FUN. YOU as a person (I hope…) are not a murderer, so don’t put yourself into the mindset of one in a GAME. Have FUN, encourage others to have fun. That’s how you make the game grow and continue to be challenged as it flourishes. Not killing the game like the community, survivors and killers, as a whole have been doing for years.

Survivors ragequit way more often than killers, because they have a quick and easy way to bypass the DC penalties. A killer going AFK is not quick, which is why it isn't done as much.
The real solution is to take away self unhook attempts unless there is a 100% chance to succeed, and take away the hook struggle skill checks. This removes the quick and easy way for survivors to bypass the DC penalty.
If killers had a quick and easy way to bypass the DC penalties, then there would be a lot more killers ragequitting.
if I’m going against a 4 gen slow, 3 gen patrolling Skull Merchant, NOTHING is keeping me in that match. I WILL just boot up another game and alternate between looking to see if I was hooked and killed and go back to my other game if I don’t.
The miserable matches aren’t worth playing, and I also refuse to give the killer player with that nasty build, awful to play against killer AND playstyle any form of fun for themselves either. I’m good.
Nothing about removing ways to get out of miserable matches faster will stop anybody from not participating. It just makes it worse for everybody involved, including the killer who will receive nonstop bird notifications until they hook me.The actual fix is make matches not so miserable to play, especially for survivors, since there’s 4 people to consider over 1. “Greater good” quote and all that to support that comment. Do what helps the many, and if you can, THEN help the few. Killers control their play style and whether they want to be a tunnel sweat or try to play more fairly.

I'm very casual so here's how I define winning: I had fun. That's it. I just had fun and wasn't bullied or hardcore shat all over today, that's a win. It is WILD to me that some people define not only a 4k, but a 4k and the gates never open as the only way you win.
If you really want further definition, then any of these also count as a win to me.
As Survivor:- I Escape
- I help someone else Escape
- I pip
- I got value out of a weird perk
- I got the Killer to do something silly with me, tamed them, etc.
- I got a lot of BP
- I progressed a daily or tome challenge
As Killer:
- I get anywhere from 1-4k (To me 1 kill = 1 win, and you can thus win up to 4 times a round)
- I scared the hell out of you guys and you tell me so
- I did something really cool
- I pip
- I get at least one Mori, if I brought something to Mori with
- I got value out of a perk, such as Rancor or a weird pick like IDK… Shattered Hope or something
- I got the Survivors to be silly with me, tamed them, etc.
- I got a lot of BP
- I progressed a daily or tome challenge
Becoming friends with the enemy is always a hardcore win in my book, regardless of outcome. 😂 That or when I point to a baby survivor who has hidden all game, upsetting ALL parties, and the killer realizes and/or goes after them. Huge win in my book. Take me away to the entity after for all I care, we got the Claudette who is terrified of the terror radius with 8k points when the next lowest is 15k.

Because survivors believe they have already won, so they start to waste time and farm points other than gen repair.
I've lost count of the number of games thrown for this reason, I would rather lose a game after 2 minutes instead of in this way.I personally do this to give the killer more pressure and to allow them more hooks, but I guess that is the answer instead… (not everybody is malicious)
I have accidentally thrown doing that, causing a 4k, but I also feel bad that they have no gens left and barely any hooks. They deserve points too, especially during the event. Idc if I accidentally give a 4k because the killer takes advantage of my kindness. It’s a game, we’re here to have fun, and I want to make sure each person gets a fair amount of points if possible.

The game has an amazing and eerie presence. AoD Lara is absolutely my favorite iteration of our heroine. Dark, serious, truly concerned she murdered one of friends. The story could’ve also been phenomenal and compelling for the time, especially if it got the trilogy it was supposed to. Basically 50% of the game was scrapped after asking for two extensions and being forced to release it because it was supposed to release WITH the PS2.
If it has proper mechanics and was able to be fully completed, AoD could’ve easily been the best Tomb Raider. Sadly, we will never know and that arch of Lara’s life will never be closed. 😭

Or I can play the game normally how I want to because I bought the game and it’s an option.
Sass aside, I don’t typically give up against anybody unless it’s 4 gen slows or a 3-gender Merchant. If she doesn’t play the 3-gen style, I’ll go against her. If she plays the vile way obviously nobody likes with her insanely high kill rate, then I will die on hook. No thank you, I’ll join the 80% kill rate she has, and I’m clearly not in the minority.

I generally don't care about survivor-only chapters, as they don't add to gameplay. They're just skins with occasionally pithy voice lines. Nick Cage was an exception because that was a wild meme and loading into Dead By Daylight only to see four No Mither Nicolas Cages plot twist themselves in front of me lives on in my heart forever. But for the most part, licensed survivor chapters are nothingburgers unless you're a fan of their IP. And I'm not into Tomb Raider, and the novelty factor of getting all these recognizable characters into DBD has long worn off for me, so... shrug.
Should they have hyped her more? Oh, sure. But it wouldn't have changed my reaction. Get me a full Tomb Raider chapter and we can talk.
Sadly, we technically do have a full Tomb Raider chapter outside of a map. One of her biggest obstacles in Tomb Raider 2013 at the end is an Oni. I wouldn’t be surprised if Oni gets a Tomb Raider Oni skin to match.
This is all technicality. They obviously could’ve made a Stormguard killer or took one of the human enemies and amplified them a bit, but I get why it’s survivor only. The only killer they could’ve REALLY used from the reboot series is already in the game.

https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/418486/i-never-got-the-point-of-tunneling
The reasons why people tunnel are manifold. The most widespread one is that it kinda works and not too complicated and that turning the game into a 3v1 massively increases the killers chances of winning.
I usually don't tunnel during the early stages of the game, but its a bit more nuanced than what you are describing. The gens being done is just half of the equation. You might only see one gen being done and a survivor getting tunneled, the killer on the other hand might have seen 3 gens that were worked on seperately while chasing that survivor and knows that the situation is much closer to "2 gens remaining", so even if they tunnel that one survivor out, the other threes only need to finish two gens, once they finish the tiny bits that are remaining on theirs.
"Skill issues" and "just go and pressure survivors off gens" is easier said then done in this day and age, where gen-efficiency is bred into the survivor mind set and most groups hit gens every second that the killers back is turned towards them. Most of the time the killer has to keep up an insane amount of pressure, just not to drown in an instant, and cute games of the past where you could chase and hook one survivor, one gens pops, then chase and hook another one, then a second gen pops, while slowly decreasing the patrol area, just games are not happening anymore.
If the killer is even a little bit unlucky and makes even a small mistake during the first chase, or Entity helps them, chose the god-looper as their first target, then nearly inevitable 2-3 gens will pop before that chase is concluded. And then the killer is REALLY backed against the wall with 2 gens to be done, but 11 hook stages waiting.
EDIT: Also, being nice and fair just leads to missery as the killer. Disregarding one or two outliers, every single match this event where I showed mercy on a dumb survivor that was on deathhool and who rounded the wrong corner, I paid for that kindness with losing the match. The games pace is just too fast nowadays and survivors prioritising gens will always outpace the killing. Kindness never pays out in the killers face, but gets repaid with redicule, t-bags and BMing. After the tens or so time of this happening during this event I decided to not give an F anymore about the survivors fun. No one is giving any about me apparently.
The exact opposite can be said, though. I’ve ran into sweating killers that I feel bad they haven’t gotten hooks, so I try to give them hooks or help them find survivors who need hook states. Some killers appreciate it and play along, some don’t care and take advantage of me being a free kill, and some don’t realize and think I’m just an idiot. It just depends on who you run into. Not all matches are crazy sweaty, and especially during the event, I’m trying to make sure the killer also gets a fair amount of points if they’re getting gen rushed. I’ll try to wave them over to kick my gen or drop a pallet for them to break, etc.
The event has been so refreshing for me. Yes, there are plenty of super sweats, but a lot of people who are willing to farm, 12 hook, try not to tunnel, etc. Just try to remember those good matches and don’t let those bad, sweaty ones discourage you. People out there also want you to have a good match too! ❤️

BHVR just needs to remove the ability for survivors to kill themselves on hook. The downsides of it existing far exceed any benefits.
Any time I am unhooked when I don’t want to play the match, I just Alt+Tab away. If people don’t want to play a match, they won’t. Better to let them move on unless they haven’t fully given up.
-
I tend to do this when I’m not trying or memeing. It’s to show the killer I’m just trying to be silly and not chase/escape, so w/e happens to me happens. Whether you kill me, meme with me, or flat out ignore my existence is up to you.
I’m just being silly and stupid so you’re aware and can respond how you would like. I usually do this when people are giving up, I’ve given up, or matches are going WAY too slow and I’m getting bored.

But this perk just dumps on the weaker killers then they play the stronger killers and everyone wonders why they see 6 killers
It's like people have said this exact thing for YEARS. No, Made for This is not what is causing some killers "not to be played". They're just weaker and not played as often and it has been that way for years. This did nothing to change that because this is said EVERY patch, whether it's buffs or nerfs.
Wesker has been one of the most played killers since his release. Made for This is also NOT inflating his pick rate. He has always been one of the most played since his release. People just like playing him.

DbD mobile has an unranked and ranked mode and it seems to do the job pretty well overall. Unranked makes it to where to do not pip or depip under any circumstances. You're pretty much just playing the match.
It's a pretty okay mechanic. I only ran into one absolute sweat, which was a clown who slugged for the 4k while my friend and I picked each other up 4 different times before he finally got us both.
The incentive for a million BPs is pretty good to want to try ranked, I would say, but it definitely could do a bit better.

Thats weird, because last time I used FTP/wglaf together it did work, and I know they didn't have soul guard or anything
I wonder if that was a bug then. I tried using it many many times and it never gave endurance to my targets whenever I picked them up from dying state. I eventually gave up on it and haven't tried it for probably 6 months or so.
-
I would assume FtP and MfT will not work together. I can't confirm this, but I know for a fact that FtP and We're Gonna Live Forever (WGLF) do NOT synergize. FtP is considered using an action ability, NOT a heal, so survivors healed from dying with FtP do not get Endurance from WGLF.
Again, I can't confirm if it truly does or does not synergize, but if it is like WGLF, it will not.
-
@Caiman said:
90 seconds is really enough. The problem is all the ways survivors circumvent those 90 seconds. Though since they can't heal so quickly anymore, those 90 seconds might be more valuable now.
This may also enforce gen rushing even more, though. If survivors aren't running perks to make healing easier to provide, such as Empathy, Empathic Connection, Botany, etc., players just *won't heal*. They will instead be an M1 sl**, making the game even more unbearable for both killers and survivors alike.

It’s like they didn’t notice the nerfs to PR, COB, and OC. Substantial game play changes for both sides.
This also did stealth buff Sloppy and mangled add-ons, while nerfing Self-Care as well.
While I absolutely HATED gen kick/gen rush meta, this patch also sucks a lot of fun and soul of our DbD... Again...
I personally really dislike them removing the burn mechanic, as it was a unique mechanic that allowed you to change your play style versus a killer if you brought/found a certain item. I understand it is frustrating to go against, especially as Wraith (who is one of the top killers affected by this), but it was also something that shook up how you might chase/loop. They're making the game an M1 simulator for survivors and tunneling simulator for killers. They somehow manage to make matches feel awful for EVERYBODY these days.
I think 6.1.0 and on has been a very big mistake and needs to be reworked. While the game before that was miserable for killers, at least survivors had some enjoyment (not saying that's right to exclude killers), but now NOBODY is having fun. It's a chore for all 5 players these days, and I'm surprised how Behavior even managed that.

Has everyone saying 'just use a headset and turn up the volume' ever actually tried that? Yes, you can hear muffled grunts of pain if you're looking out for them. You also hear every bit of ambient noise, the crackling of this flaming barrels over literally anything, and every loud noise is really loud. Including pallet stuns.
This isn't even getting into how overbearing the chase music gets. Especially Wesker's (appropriate, but holy ######### that's close to maxed out).
(And no, these aren't cheap headphones, they were actually quite pricey and picked for audio quality. If I turned my PC output over 1/3 at best, it'd actually be dangerous)
I was honestly thinking this. While even I joke around saying someone has a million dollar headset, this game is SO FREAKING LOUD FOR NO REASON. Every little thing you do is ridiculously loud. If you tried playing with Mac volume in headphones, you would probably go deaf, especially with how Behavior apparently thinks extremely loud chase music is good chase music.
Just look at all the new chase music effects they've released recently and tell me how many of them haven't been ear drum erupting. Even Nurse and Hag's are just constant loud banging of random crap that makes it impossible to hear anything else in chase on BOTH sides.

Big note that it's not a license chapter is that there is only one copyright on the teaser....with other past ones the copyright was a hint to what's coming.
Ohhhhh, I didn't even think of that... Good point! I hope it'll be both someone fun to play and play against. Wesker was very refreshing. While he has an *awful* amount of bugs, he never really feels oppressive on the survivor side and is fun and not too weak to play on the killer side.
-
I'm not against having it removed. This could be a bit *too much* information to survivors. If they really want something for solo, why not make a perk for it? Similar to Wraith or Legion add-ons, why not release a survivor perks that allows the survivor to see the intensity of a gen's progress within X meters as long as a survivor is working on it.
Something kind of like Better Together, but the survivor with the perk can see a color intensity on the gen? It could be a weak or too niche if a perk, but they do need to be careful how much information survivors are given.

From the teaser it looks like a Skull that will be used on that small device (on the blueprint). It could be a drone as some people suggesting (Skull drones around the map). It could be a Female Engineer from future who designed some tracking device drones or some kind of traps. Maybe Its not flying drone since that would be hard to make and on some maps it would be very hard to make real and work. It could be like a driving mini car drone and maybe you can make it explode or something when you get close to a Survivor.
Anyway I just hope if it's really a drone type of power, hopefully there is more to it rather than scouting a map. What do you think? What type of power it could be?
My first thought was Terminator. The skull looks and moves VERY similar to how the cyborgs do in the movie. We just got an original chapter and they usually release original>licensed>original>licensed.
I think this will be a licensed Terminator chapter, but we'll see!

Bro, it's DbD... Wesker will be Stopped by Pallets, will stop chasing cause of strong windows.
He's a superpowered Character already, how will the Entity empower him more? It makes no sense for Wesker to need any more power.
Wesker was ridiculously powerful due to how he bonded with the virus, so odds are, like the Doctor, the Entity will probably try to forcefully limit his power or fear Wesker like Myers.

I seriously hope they do not revert the gen times. That would be so stupid, making killers more dependent on slowdown perks again.
Instead, they simply need to nerf the problematic slowdown perk, especially thana. But I also honestly doubt they will revert such a baseline change after a few weeks.
Camping and tunneling nerf is a must. And I definitely want to see those solo queue buffs. But reverting the most impactful buff that killers got as well? Then you'll also just revert the queue times, and survivors would have to deal with really long queue times.
The problem with this patch was that only killers got nice buffs to help with their frustrations. Survivors didn't. There is no reason to change it so it's the other way around.
One thing I've been saying for a while is they should not allow slow down perks to stack, but increase gen speeds and super buff the slow down perks since they no longer stack. They would obviously have to be careful how they do this to not make one feel required and super easy, but this is just a suggestion. It would also free up A LOT of killer builds and allow for so much more variety.
Or adversely, they could slow gen speeds even more than than above, keep slow down stacking, and absolutely gut the heck out of slow downs to be a lot more niche, which also opens up more killer perk variety, as killers no longer want to run slow down together after they're gutted, but also no longer need to with gens also being adjusted more heavily at the same time.

I generally agree with this. I think you'd have to be careful with a desperation bonus though. If I, as the killer, two hook everyone and then knock someone out, they're probably at 1 or 2 gens left. If they suddenly get a desperation bonus, even if it's small, I'm really getting punished for playing "fair". It'll end up being more profitable to tunnel someone because I need to finish the game before there are 1-2 gens left. If the bonus isn't high enough or the generators take even more time to counteract this boost, then it might make it effectively impossible for 4 survivors to escape for any match that's within a certain range of evenness.
I generally like the idea that DS stun is at 3/4 seconds and causes powers with charges to go to zero charges. It would prevent Nurse/Blight/Spirit from basically ignoring DS and it would allow M1 killers to not be so affected by it at a higher number. I imagine it's similar to Ghostface getting knocked out of his power.
Still might not help much against Huntress but you should be able to find a wall. If you're going down in a complete dead zone against Huntress or Demo, not even DS is going to save you. Just... don't do that.
And some killers this wouldn't necessarily apply to. Billy and Oni are killers where this wouldn't really make sense.
For a more permanent solution to tunneling, I think they need to add more options for your teammates to interfere with it. Anti-tunneling shouldn't necessarily be a perk you bring or a thing you do by yourself. But, if I see a teammate getting tunneled, what are my actual options? I can body block. That gives the killer a free hit and maybe even a free down. And a lot of killers will just hit and then continue chasing the person getting tunneled anyway. So now I have to have a teammate heal me for 16 seconds and the person is still being tunneled. Did I actually help or just hurt the team?
Another option is to just make all of the effects of Guardian basekit. It suppresses scratch marks and pools of blood for a certain amount of time after being unhooked. Or buffing Guardian so it shows both you and the teammate you unhooked the killer's aura.
I think I resolve that issue in my post if you would like to read it. I'm also thinking instead of time based, maybe gens remaining based. Like, 2 gens remaining and getting a kill, no desperation buff will be provided. 3 gens, 10% bonus, 4 gens, 15%, 5 gens, 20%. Random numbers, nothing is set in stone. Just a visual example of what it could look like.

I don't think that making perks to hardcounter tunneling is the way to go. That just means you have to have those perks at all times.
I would rather go for the reason tunneling is happening. Turning the game into a 3v1 assap is just way to benificial.
Give survivors a desperation bonus to repair speed for every survivor killed will make killers think twice before killing a survivor without even hooking the others once.
It will still be a option but atleast the remaining survivors will still have a fighting chance
This is actually an incredibly innovative way to discourage tunneling that I never thought of... Good on you. I actually really like this idea! Maybe allow diminishing returns so it doesn't punish late game? So within the first 3 minutes (give or take, random number) if a survivor is 3-hooked or takes an entire 2-hook state and then dies (to prevent abusing killing yourself on hook by attempting), this bonus is given to other survivors. Let's say an extra 20% bonus (another random number), but if the match goes past 3 minutes without a single kill, it diminishes and becomes weaker until there is no bonus provided at all if it goes on long enough.

There is nothing horribly wrong with camping and tunneling to apply pressure; however doing it at 5 generators at the start can force smart Survivors to just do 3, maybe 4 generators in the time you camp them, especially if they're on comms.
Use strong perks to encourage getting away from the hook and getting more hooks, such as any of the Scourge Hook perks, No Way Out, Grim Embrace.
Camping and tunneling when there's only 1 or no gens left however is a completely valid and understandable strategy, especially if you're losing.
Hope this helps a little bit.
For me personally, even if it shoots me in the foot, I like chase perks. It also encourages me to get into chases with others or why use the perks? STBFL (before the update) was one of my favorite perks on most killers. It just feels really good and makes me want to try to get 8 stacks and keep them as much as I can.

I mean it is so funny seeing survivors stare at me after I am done healing them because they saw their healing progress go down a ton at first use. But if you play altruistically, it makes for some very quick heal times from mid to late game. It'd be nice if the perk increased the rate of healing skill checks when not using a medkit, but I understand it is supposed to be an rng luck perk. It has helped me overall and quite fun in my healing build.
I really enjoy running Autodidact, but way too many times it has bit me and my teammates in the butt if I can't get stacks really early.
I wish they would revisit Autodidact and just give it a 10-15% additional chance at skill checks. 10% definitely would not be game changing, but would help the perk so much! Especially with it being such a fun perk to use when it does actually work.

If you mostly play surv, then set B is clear the choice, imo.
Problem is that Dredge cosmetic is really cool, and I must have it.
See, I pretty much only play survivor and love set A much more than most of set B. They're all nice, but that set A Kate outfit... 😍
Also, not David being revealed as gay and promptly getting a nutcracker skin to follow up. Lmao

The biggest issue I have is I was running into 3-4 gen slow perks pretty consistently, but BBQ was keeping it less than the entire build. Now that there's basically no incentive to run BBQ compared to before, I'm seeing A LOT more 4 perk gen protection build, which is INCREDIBLY boring and stale to go against, especially now that gens take even longer and perks like Thana actually got *buffed* from it. There's even less diversity than before, I think.
It's partially why I hate going against Huntress so much. 90% of huntresses run the EXACT SAME 6 PERKS (obviously 2 being interchanged with each other since 4 is cap per match. I mean you only ever really see them use 6 total perks). They're all exactly. The. Same. It's EXTREMELY boring.

I have all chars p3, so i got all cosmetics and perks with the change but i have lvl 4,5,6 and get nothing until 7 because i already got. But my real problem is bbq and wglf. If the bloodpoints would still be on that perks i can deal with the grind to p9 on all. I don´t say they should delet to share perks on p1,2,3. I need bbq and wglf to reach p9. I can life without the aura reading on bbq and without the healspeed on wglf but not without the bp.
If you're already P3 fully perked, it might put you at prestige 6+. They stated that it will be based off the progress already spent on the characters.

There's a TLDR at the end of his video about his concerns.
But a quick summary:
- Some perks still need buffs (such as Dying Light, Furtive Chase, Autodidact etc)
- Some perks still need nerfs (Mainly CoH, Prove Thyself, and Deadlock)
- Basic M1 killers are buffed but there now is less incentive to use M2 attacks such as Shred
- Hook trading is easier
- Medkits are stronger now because of the Botany Knowledge buff
- Off the Record is broken and is going to encourage bodyblocking more
- Maps, items and offerings still need to be addressed
- Nurse and Blight are even stronger now
- Camping needs more counterplay
I would like to touch on one point that is completely incorrect. Hook trading is not easier. With this update, it's potentially impossible. The unhook action takes 3 seconds to perform, same as a standard M1.
The only reason a survivor can get the unhook currently is because the action bar can be filled and completed at the same time the killer can attack again, meaning the rest of the unhook animation is performed, even though they're in dying state.
Now that an M1 takes LESS time than an unhook, which used to take the SAME amount of time, it makes him trading next to impossible unless the killer messes up or gets outplayed somehow.
So no, it doesn't make hook trading easier. It's next to impossible. The opposite. But we will just have to see how it actually performs in-game if it prioritizes the unhook animation over an M1, which I don't think it will. I think it'll be impossible to trade against a camper.

well, i really hate this change for iron will. i use it on every survivor because i just cant stand the grunts of pain. esp. with certain female survs. really annoying change. at least address the hook scream it serves no purpose and its extremely annoying too (give us an option to disable it and no i'm not gonna use a perk for that)
LITERALLY THIS. This right here is the single *only* reason I run Iron Will. I can't stand the grunts of pain and they're SO FREAKING LOUD, especially on Jane, Bill, Feng, and a few others.
Give me an option to mute myself, and I will no longer use any perks for it.

I hope it's optional. I preferred the struggle change on hook, but I would rather do the same wiggling that I always have.
Agreed. As someone else said earlier, it also feels more interactive, like you're legitimately trying to struggle away from the killer. Skill checks don't feel that way. I also prefer the skill checks on second hook state, but not for wiggling, personally.
On top of that, I've been testing how fast you have to "spam" and it isn't fast at all. You can take about 0.7s before you hit the next key to keep wiggling. I would assume skill checks are going to be around the same speed, if not about every second instead, being only slightly slower than you actually have to go currently.
I REALLY hope they read the feedback on this and make it a menu option which you would prefer. Allow accessibility, but don't have away the option from players who don't want/need it if it is only really for accessibility.

isn't this thread talking about unfair things people do in this game?
people using map offerings to tilt the game in their favour is and it's gross as hell
Also to answer your question, yeah - a Killer sent to a bad map is more likely to do things you mentioned if you ask me. Personally I have no mercy on map offering users.
Not all people try to be toxic with map offerings. I usually bring one if I get terrible maps like Hawkins into RPD into Midwich into Hawkins again, and then I'm like, "okay... I want to go to Coldwind or MacMillian..." I never do the really bad maps like Red Forest, RPD, Haddonfield, etc.
But I get when people get upset by map offerings, because many times it isn't just to get off all the bad maps.

It's actually why I hated Stridor so much as survivor. It was SO annoying heading my character actually SCREAMING in my ears if I wasn't running Iron Will. Even then, I would still hear the whining before the nerf.
