For me, what pisses me of the most, its mainly that I can't just choose to run a meme ghostface, cause the chances that I will get a sweat lobby is insanely high :(
So yeh… I don't even understand why the MMR link protection between killers is so strict, cause… it only takes a few matches to get to mid-high mmr, depending on your caliber… Therefor even if you are a sweat nurse main on a new killer you won't ruin that many survivors matches.
If I were to change mains to Ghostface right now, it would take me a stupid amount of matches to get my MMR in an acceptable range. (I've done many MMR experiments over the years, so I know how hard it is to drop brackets)
-
The most obvious answer that comes to mind: 1 or more survivor(s) leaving the lobby… this causes a wreckingball of leavers, cause anyone who understands how the game/mmr works will not want to play that lobby anymore.
Comp players: cause they are an absolute joke and a blight on public matches. Go "practice" in customs with proper rules and opponents that match the sweat. These ppl should have a bit more humility and awareness. I've played against some of the most well known comp players in this game over the years and every time I just ask "whats the point?". They got clock callouts and if someone is on a gen within view distance of a chase, they will even callout the mindgames… whats the point playing such a match?
After that: comp skins piss me of a lot too. Cause obviously they are in it for the sweat and humiliation on the other end. Some skins have such incredibly low audio that you might aswell have ironwill as basekit… Same goes for killer side btw, like Elk huntress… maybe its my old age but I literally cant hear that skin until they are literally hugging me. I hope the price of that skin was worth all the dc's.

I would also agree that if a game takes less than 5 minutes to reach end-game, that would be actual gen-rushing.
But there are many factors to consider here as well.
- Was the killer camping a hooked survivor, thus having zero pressure on the gens? - If so, the gens are uncontested.
- Was the killer hyperfocusing on one survivor, i.e. chasing them for too long? - If so, the gens are also uncontested.
- Did it happen even if the killer was able to provide adequate pressure on the gens? - If so, the killer did not check the surroundings well enough.
- Was the killer afk during the game at any point? - If so, the gens are uncontested.
- Did the MMR system mis-match you with a comp team? - If so, good luck getting any pressure.
Im downing ppl in 30secs back to back and still lose to genrushers mate, most ppl have no idea how stupidly unbalanced the game is at the top ;) High MMR lobbies know how to split gens and which ones to do. Low tier killers have no chance against it, no matter how good they are at the game. A low tier killer at high MMR is more often than not relying on mistakes from their opponents, not relying on their own skill. Trapper and ghostface are good examples in this, but also Bubba whom is the the topic.
personally I cant even imagine going down to a bubba, so the idea of getting camped by one does not phaze me at all :D If they down you, they earned it.
-
Survivors slugged for an entire match is not the killers fault tho, why does nobody pick you up? Take the loss and move on. You just had a bad team, don't blame your opponent for that.
Let me change your title a bit to accomodate to the average killer: "Killer gameplay is becoming unplayable due to the 4min genrushes that force them into unfun playstyles such as camping, tunneling and slugging"
-
Survivors completing gens in the killers face, even when injured… How do you argue that is not genrushing? 2 things could be true here tho. 1) Survivor is throwing for a 'finish repairing' mission or 2) its a swf and they know they can trade hooks for gens… cause gens require less states than hooks.
If we are talking about time tho, the average match in my MMR range is about 4-5mins to endgame. That is blatant genrushing.
ps edit: I apologize for answering to someone elses reply ;)
-
In all honesty if a Bubba gets a hook, he usually deserved it. So why take away the one thing he has? I mean… If you go down and die in the end to a bubba, your team probably didn't play that well. He deserves that kill. I don't even own Bubba btw, Im saying this from survivor pov.
-
Matches with a disconnected player don't get absorbed by the stats for BHVR right? Correct me if Im wrong, its something I heard… Rumor or did I just miss BHVR saying this somewhere in official capacity?
I wonder cause I never ever DC from matches, I usually go afk when I see blatant cheaters. But today I just did cause im tired of it and I dont wanna play against a blatant… So I wonder theoretically, BHVR has no clue how many matches go by with zero kills due to cheaters?? Is this why killer is in such a miserable state? Just thinking out loud. Cause even when it isnt about cheaters, the vast majority of matches have at least one dc (not abandons).
-
Stop rushing gens, so killers dont have to. Killers can't run meta… u know that thing that keeps the game somewhat balanced, so the killer actually has time to do some off-target chases…
Yeh so… just chillax a bit on those gens, stop hiding, take chases. Stop bringing in meta medkits that take away all the pressure etc etc etc. Believe it or not, unless you are going against S tier killers, survivors actually have the advantage in this mode. So stop complaining.
-
What ticks me of more is the fact that survivors are allowed to bring in items… Thats a big powershift versus a killer that cant run meta.

Worst part is there is nothing you can do and question still stays: Will you try to fight them to give them more fun (or content becaues many cheaters stream or make clips which is sick but real) so they dont hold you hostage (alone or with other survivors, yes they can stun them and hold game hostage there) or will you just stay there and wait and risk their wrath? (meaning they will just hold you hostage for fun or payback so you either use dc and have penalty or wait a whole hour untill server shuts down).
From the moment they go blatant, I go afk. No reason to increase my MMR further, as the rampant cheating is alrdy quite telling about where my MMR is at. Have to be careful tho, not sure how the system works, but I have alrdy been flagged by the system a few times for penalty that way. Its so stupid BHVR forces you to play the match. Same deal for survivors who get penalties for instantly dying… BHVR should just killswitch the penalty system at this point. They obviously have no control over the situation.
-
Thats because xeno is a low-mid tier killer that gets demolished by semi competent lobbies. Easy to bully into being powerless all match long. It's rly sad, cause its one of my favorite franchises as well, but I just can't play em in its current state. If there were no turrets, he would be A tier, cause his tail is good anti loop. Its just that turrets give survivors way to much power/agency that makes most regions tier list put xeno in C tier (and I have to agree with that as a 5k+ hours player). Its simply not worth the frustration to Queue up as Xeno.
-
Shards is the thing you complain about? 😅 Have you looked at cell prices? :D 15$ for friggin cosmetics is insane. If you play the game at any pace above casual, you get tons of shards.
Few months ago I actually dumped 100k shards into stuff I didnt want or need, cause I had no clue what to do with them… And I had alrdy bought every single killer with shards… so I guess that's about 200k shards I had in a few years time…? probably more, but you get the picture ;)Im just gonna take a wild guess and assume you are a fairly fresh new player? That is the only way I would be able to understand how you are looking up a grind mountain.
Also you don't 'need' cosmetics to play the game, and shards still is something you get for free just by playing the game… If you don't get at least 10k by the time the next unlicensed killer releases, you play well below casual level.
If you want the maths on shards to feel better, I believe its about 1 shard per 14xp on average. you get aprox 600xp per 10minute match.

If that's all you meant, then the word "manipulating" threw me off. "Manipulating" data suggests that you were trying to change or twist it to fit your argument, and at that point, the data becomes a lie.
Anyway, I have to agree with Pulsar. It seems to be an argument of which data source is more reliable. If NL only records 10,000 per month, and the official site records 10,000 per hour, that's a total of 720,000 games not counted on NL. That is a LOT of data to discard. Why would you trust a site that trashes that much data?
You mean the data that BHVR keeps hidden, probably for good reason? And if they do release a stat here and there its mega cherrypicked. Ask yourself why they don't release 720k worth global data, what are they so afraid of? I alrdy know the answer btw, but I always love to hear the (non)rational reasoning of other ppl ;) Meanwhile I'll stick with the source that is honest, small but honest.

More like the stats don't speak favorably to your argument when you apply any measure of scrutiny towards them.
Call me when you want to have a serious argument. Just because you didn't follow the stats for years, doesn't mean they never happened. Anyone who did will be able to tell you just the same, the stats on NL are consistent. if they were at all inaccurate or random, we would have seen it at least a few times over the years. You just CHOOSE to ignore the stats, because the site publicly only tracks upto 3 months… and that is how you publicly argue that… sheesh it's like saying "napoleon never existed, cause I never met em".

"Manipulating stats to your agenda" kind of renders your entire argument moot.
I think you completely missed the context of this reply, but w/e ;)
The person this was meant for does not know how to analyze the data, The raw data does not speak favorable to his own mindset, So intead of meeting me halfway he just discredits the entire source. Therefor I said in different words 'Typical tactics for ppl with an agenda'.
I can see however how you could have misread that, so I forgive you ;)

NightLight is far too small of a sample size to be taken seriously. It has always underreported kill rates.
There's usually only 10,000 games per month reported. There's probably 10,000 games per HOUR in DBD.
Spoken like someone who does not know how to manipulate said stats to their agenda.
If we were talking about 1 month of NL stats, I would agree. Heck even 3 months, I'd still agree. But we have YEARS of consistent data that never shifted. If you understand how to analyse data, you will understand your argument is empty.
I rly don't understand the obsession to discredit NL stats. What is the point? Don't we all want DBD to become better than it currently is? Then why run this weird agenda that completely contradicts these stats?

The amount of actual cheaters players encounter depends on time of day, MMR, and in particular region. From what I can tell, the EU area has the most active cheaters, and it's less of a problem In Asia or NA regions.
I know EU is a swamp, for sure… But when is BHVR going to address the problem?
@BHVR These 2 things will alrdy leviate a ton of frustration among your playerbase, PLEASE pretty please do it. Thanks!:
- SERVER SIDE CHECKS
- 100 PING LIMIT
These 2 things are super easy to code, I'll even help you if you need it… Just ask. Free of charge.
The cheaters dont bother me nearly as much as the inaction from BHVR. At this point there is nothing or nobody that can convince me that BHVR is combating cheaters in any capacity, cause I've been sending all my video evidence to them, and I get no message back that "action has been taken", not a single one. Yet I see blatant cheaters non stop…
Monitoring multiple steam accounts since a year ago, they are still playing. It is beyond me how they are so powerless against this, even tho I report their account + give their steam profile on a silver platter + send blatant video evidence. Just… How? SO this is not even an issue of "oh they ban quarterly" or… "cheaters just use a new account"… they literally just don't get banned.
-
Lmao… HOW are these ppl even allowed to enter a lobby is beyond me. Most blatant Hacker SWF I just had…
Enter the match, everyone on 200+ ping; so its alrdy blatantly obvious im going against a VPN SWF… But they all had asian names as well… how more obvious can it get? Not to my surprise soon after entering the match, I dont even think we were 30secs into the match, but 3 separate gens pop, even tho I just chased and injured 2 ppl. I even see one of them healing (friends till the end) as I hook one of them, but somehow 3 gens pop… seriously? One on hook, one healing, 3 gens pop at the same time… This right here is alrdy a confirmation of non subtle cheaters. Then at the end, god forbid I get kills… I get someone cornered, and they just teleport away. THE TINY EGO ON THIS PPL IS ASTOUNDING!
I recorded the match btw, but nobody will get banned I'm sure, I alrdy have enough experience with reports like this. Its more likely 'I' get a ban for even mentioning that they were Asian. I can assure you these ppl will probably ruin 1000 more matches over the next year.

Well, to be fair, NightLight isn't a good way to find stats.
You can maybe point out broad trends, but other than that, it isn't usable data.
The broad trend is exactly what is consistent and should be taken serious on NL. Every single month all the killrates are within the range of 40-60%, with the overall average aproximating 49-52%. it rarely if ever deviates from this. Whether it is pulled from a small or a big match pool is irrelevant at this point after years, cause the stats are obviously as accurate as they will get. So dismissing NL is just a poor jest from people that have no idea how to handle those stats, or it simply doesn't fit their agenda.
My personal experience as a 2016 veteran with thousands of hours complies perfectly with what I see on NL. I main Chucky, you know… that little low-mid tier killer guy. Great chase ability, I demolish the average lobby in chase with 30sec back to back downs (I actually make many ppl DC), but god dayum is it hard to actually win matches based on killrate with him. It's the absolute genrush sweat fest at high MMR he cant deal with. What many ppl here suggest is that I should actively handicap myself to not get to that high mmr bracket… Makes no sense, people like winning and I am defo competitive minded enough to be one of those.
-
The amount of gaslighting and empty arguments in this post is absolutely astounding ><
Y'all should check NL stats and tell me what you think would happen to them if hypothetically BHVR somehow magically removed tunneling from the game:
1) Do y'all think killers will get better, cause you know, obviously they arent performing well enough right now, or at least that is what many of you think. Maybe in a few months timespan who knows, PS the current average of all killers combined is aprox 51% killrate.
2) … Or do you think the entire average will drop below 50%?Ask yourself what would be the most logical consequence? Cause if you are asking me, I'm pretty sure it will be the latter. And if anyone thinks a 'power role' should drop below 50% average, I don't know what to say. Bottom killers are alrdy scraping close to 40% as is…
Sure top killers are near 60%, but everyone alrdy complains they only see killer S & A tier… If killrates drop more due to artificial reasons, even killers that play B C & D will get pushed towards playing killers S & A. you can't have it all ppl…People keep arguing for the death of this game and they don't even realize it.

Yes, I almost always see such threads on the front pages, you all write as if they will never be banned, they will be banned, believe me, any software gets detected sooner or later, they will get what they deserve, so calm down, and if you can't wait to ban them, then there is a ticket system through support!
You have no idea do you? I, among many others, have proof that blatant cheaters aren't getting banned. Not even a YEAR after multiple reports, so the argument that they go with banwaves is 100% nonsense. I am actually actively monitoring steam accounts, which I have personally reported with BLATANT VIDEO EVIDENCE, and they are still playing to this day. And I rly do mean blatant bots that teleport and insta down the entire lobby in under 10secs.
I wonder how you will rationally still defend BHVR after hearing this? Truly curious, honest question. I'll just assume you have no idea how neglectant BHVR is.
What DBD needs at this point is server side checks, cause obviously cheaters are rampant and they cant keep up with reports. And I don't even blame them for that, but they actually do have to fix the problem, right now.
-
Here are some objective facts for you: The BEST Blights on the planet STILL use "low skill tactics" both in competitive and public settings, because they know they need to. These are ppl that know how to chase and get quick downs, on arguably one of the strongest killers in the game.
Now ask yourself… if that objective fact is true, how would the average low-mid tier public killer fare in most matches if they would not use "low skill tactics"? Honest question, I just want to see your (hopefully) rational answer to it.
This is the lowest quality bait I have seen in a while. Stay rational my guys. Defo stick with the "git gut" arguments if you want to be taken seriously /s.
Edit: I will add tho, since the poster is a bit vague and deceptive. Of course you "can win" some matches by just going pure for the chase. That is because MMR forces you to get some wins and some losses. What a post like this suggests tho is that "if killer is good at the game, they can win every match", which is a blatantly false lie.
And if you Still believe killer is easy, I'll happily show you in 1v1 what a high MMR survivor is like ;) You know, you can tunnel me, which you claim is the easy tactic :) Just you and me, I'll record and post it so you can prove everyone that you are right. No? Didn't think so…

Should they show those survs in a SWF before the trial it would lead to rampant lobby dodging, worsening the matchmaking even further.
After the trial sure I have no problem with that. This would still have that effect you mentioned of killers reassessing themselves when they realize they lost or draw'd to just a decent duo and two good solos.
I'll happily take the outcome of mass dodging (as that would inevitably lead to a proper rebalancing of the game). Cause people should play solo, as the game was intended to be played on its release, and that is also the way it is balanced (blatantly obvious when you check NL stats).
Î personally get well over 50% survival rate, imagine what I would do in a SWF setting… Not just would I escape for free, but I would also have the time to bully a killer, knowing that my squad is rushing the gens I'll have no stress at all. I could pre drop every pallet knowing that I still will have pallets left by the time all 5 gens pop, go figure.
So again. At least when I know I got demolished in such a way when it was a SWF, I will personally feel less bad about it. I will move on to the next match, Knowing that it was out of my control. Hopefully I'll get a more balanced match next.
This is a direct cure to killer anxiety and the bs MMR system that BHVR has implimented.
-
He is the most balanced killer they ever will release, if his power stays as it currently is on PTB. I say this because BOTH sides requires some good reading skills in order to hit or dodge. Vecna will indeed have a high skill ceiling to the 'average' killer.
-
EU is a hellhole swamp during daytime hours. Often multiple lobbies in a row someone is just blatantly going underground in your face etc. I don't run much aura builds, but whenever I do, I spot the subtle ones too. Always speeding up that little bit behind corners, just enough to make it to the next vault.
-
In fact it is exactly why I'm not buying him, cause I KNOW they will do something like that. Right now on PTB he is actually fun to play, but also a high skill ceiling. It requires both sides to make some good reads on each other. But since survivor voices always seem to be louder, I alrdy know, just like they did every other killer in the last 2-3 years, they will gutter nerf them.
-
@Emeal said:
Not only would this solve so many problems within the discours of the 'us versus them' rhetoric, but many ppl might actually self reflect in the way of "maybe im not that good, or maybe im top percentile, I cant speak for the average…". Cause quiet frankly It is getting exhausting to keep arguing with brand new players who seem to know it all, but somehow also get to be catered to in terms of balance.
If people cant realize how the MMR System works and draw reasonable conclusions on changes based on that, then having one small number with less meaning than their actual number wont help them.
I severely doubt even if we had MMR fully displayed the discourse would still not be better.
I disagree. I for one would be one of those ppl that would adapt to the knowledge of where aprox I am at. If I am Bronze, I would actually start to think about just improving myself, instead of complaining on the forums ;) Obviously I am wasting my time if that is the case.
Edit: Also, I have done many MMR experiments over the last 2 years, so I have a pretty good idea of how flawed it rly is. But unless we see a code or actual indications like a number or bracket we won't know for sure.

indeed i could make every pallet last longer….
- dont need to
- it can be boring just going in circles so its fun to get a few stuns in quick succession just get their blood boiling lol.
- you have missed the point entirely…. its not to show how to loop or to demonstrate "skills", it is to show how to counter tunneling by making the killer give up chase, which i did….twice
- im not even a particularly skilled survivor, pretty average really. So the fact i have very little issues with tunneling, camping, slugging while others claim these tactics are unbeatable and happen every match is baffling to me. That bubba could have easily been a tunneling/camping killer that bubba is known for and if someone like me can not go down in 10 sec and keep the killer busy for what would have been 3 gens if they didnt stop chasing me then how bad must other survivors be to have an issue?
I stand corrected, this would indeed boil my blood, on both sides. But your attempt to educate ppl on the matter is futile. Average survivor main has alrdy proven not to want to get better, They just want free wins, they just want BHVR to nurf killers into gutter tier :( And then they will return to wondering why everyone goes back to ghoul.
You'll see it with new vecna. Right now on PTB he is about low A, high B tier… survivors are gonna cry so hard, they will nerf em to low B high C. Probably by putting a longer cooldown on his M2, which is alrdy crazy hard to hit on any survivor that is not a completely potato and paying attention.

clearly my stealth failed right at the start…primary mode failing i turn to secondary….loop
dude why are you camping pallets when you can hold W? lmao… You are literally waiting for killer to catch up, ON a pallet… You could make every pallet last 1min longer. Bubbas are ez mode… I would be so pissed if I saw a survivor like this in my solo lobby. The worst part is that 4man squads actually do this just to intimidate you from behind the pallet, cause they know their team is rushing gens, and wont run out of pallets before endgame. Absolutely infuriating.
-
Update to another day of rampant DBD cheating. Just playing pig, not to win, actually specifically to get 0k to lower MMR (for my next experiment). I still get ppl that somehow perfectly mirror me while Im crouched, behind the big haddonfield buildings… Good heartbeat readers, right? Yeh that must be it ;) People have no idea the amount of subtle cheaters. It was a 4man squad too. Now, Im not accusing ALL of them. But it is just another blatant cheater in a 4man squad, that possibly does this to communicate info to their team. Their teammates might not know about their cheating, but it is friggin happening… it is ruining DBD.

my dude, you know his cooldown is extremely fast and he will just M1 you before you get anywhere else. I can see your argument when pallet density was in the game but that has been reverted.
Ok now I know you are just trolling and not that great at the game. if you have nothing to run to, that means one of your teammates alrdy pre dropped everything for some reason. Almost every map has so many pallets, you literally cannot run out unless you predrop all of them.
just an idea, try to play ghoul for yourself and see how NOT easy he is. At least not at top MMR. have fun having to master his leaps for about 1000 hours before you get anywhere near of what you speak of :D the cooldown will not help you against all the squads up there. I promis you.

The stats you have posted are some fan made stats (I legit saw that looking for October stats mentioned previously in thread)
Yes, he gets an easy/free first hit. After that he is just a mobile M1 tho… M1 as in you can loop that shiz for 5 gens if you actually know how to run loops…increase cooldowns after a leap that doesn't lock on and then the situation you described would exists , If a loop is slightly in the distance from you he can cut you off or leap next to you and M1 with little cooldown.
You can loop a ghoul for five gens, but that's a skill issue on the ghoul,My dude, you know you have controls to turn around and run a different direction right? Do you even look behind you to see where he is leaping?
Also, there is nothing "fan made" about Nightlight stats. They are just a smaller pool of matches its picked from.
-
Wait what, why does ghoul need nerfs? :D lmao he is not even the top killrate right now, not even close… The only reason you want nerfs is cause many ppl are playing him and you just dont want to learn how to counter em. If you still cant at this point, that is a you issue, not a ghoul issue.
Yes, he gets an easy/free first hit. After that he is just a mobile M1 tho… M1 as in you can loop that shiz for 5 gens if you actually know how to run loops…
If you rly have that much trouble with em, just equip windows and start chaining all the yellows. I promis you he will leave you fast, unless he WANT to be run for 5 gens.
The only reason Ghoul is still somewhat high on this chart is cause people literally DC EVERY MATCH to him.
-
Survivor side in DBD is the most entitled playerbase in all of gaming history afaiac. They tell you to "git gud", but then you play one match "gud", get a quick down and you instantly get them DC… dbd is truly cooked and its not even the players fault tbh. Its BHVR that has been catering towards that behaviour for years now. I literally cant even get one normal match these days. Either theres a cheater in the lobby, a 4man squad getting to endgame in 4mins cause why not, or you get a solo lobby where at least one person DC in the first minute. Totally cooked.
-
@Guest said:
how do I report a cheater? Had a blatant one shot killer kill my solo que team. Worst of all after one shotting us and having us die on hook I got a down grade message for intentionally dying.
Edit. My next match after said one above and posting this mssg I got insta morried upon spawning in. My whole team was insta morried. #########!?!?!
The only way to fix the current swamp is for BHVR to code in server sided checks. It is absolutely baffling how people are just allowed to fly/teleport/underground without the server saying "hmmm that might be weird, maybe I should ban this person"… BHVR is allowing it cause they treat these cheaters as customers, there is no other plausible reason to not have server side checks at this point.
-
ps: I play some more today, cause I figure I want to make somewhat of a difference to the stats BHVR sees… even tho I am only about 0.000001% of those :D lmao
Anyways, So I'm playing pig, notice some sus stuff. So I just crouch hidden near a half finished gen (high walls between me and gen)… I hear someones breathing and steps approach, hear them touch the regressing gen, so I start my ambush and … oh wait… nobody is there…no scratch marks or anything… But somehow the gen stopped regressing. Almost af if… they knew I was there and are just trolling… hmm.
WTH is the point of this type of cheating? YOU ARE SO BLATANT… I see you are ATTEMPTING to be subtle but… I just go afk after a confirmation like that. I am deliberately lowering my MMR by just 2 hooking everyone, and I still get non stop teleporters and speed hackers… pfff exhausting guys. Not even angry at the cheaters at this point, BHVR literally allows it.
-
Yeh I know, but at least they spare me from being held hostage. The one plus side to this rampant cheating. Just had a Steve that literally used Dramaturge every time I got close to him. Multiple times in 1 chase. He had the perk, but since he did it multiple times during 1 chase it was blatantly obvious he was cheating… so sad. They just take the perk in an attempt to cover up their cheating, its ridiculously hilarious how stupid these ppl are tbh.
-
Nobody "keeps playing DBD". They just take breaks, come back, then realize why they quit, so they take another break. For me that reason right now is rampant cheating. Yesterday I had the groundbreaking record of 7 lobbies in a row with at least one 'blatant' cheater in it. I'm done.
-I'm a 5k+ hour player if that matters
-
It is mostly "dead by imbalance"… Ask BHVR to bring bottom tier killers closer to top tier killers for proper balance… maybe you'll get more variation then.

The cheating is seriously bad. Survivor main. Was playing killer and the hook sabo instant is bad.
I have no reason to play it's just cheats back and forth.Yup, I have only been back a few days for the event quests. Last 2 days thought I'd try normal mode again and its just one after the other teleporting/going underground in my face. I'm taking a break again, if BHVR can't fix this, it might be a perma break. Imagine them releasing a popular franchise chapter soon'ish within this mess… I hope ppl are smarter and keep their money.

6 in a row really sounds weird. I've encountered them once every 5 games, usually one "subtle" per team. What is your region? Also, do you record the games? You could upload videos of them for people who don't believe.
Im telling you EU is a swamp right now, germany specifically (or I am being stalked on ID or IP). Pretty sure I dont get dublin server on the mainland. The last one was a 4man squad and they even admitted it… like they dont even care anymore, blatant teleporting in my face… 3 of them on steam account. And they actually made my pc crash as I made the report (my pc literally never crashes in any game, not even spaghetti code dbd). They have the ability to do that… I rly have to stop calling them out and just report and move on. f'ing hell :( the state of BDD is absolutely ruined right now.
PS; pretty sure it was a random Discord 4man squad, since they all had different nations on their steam profile. But at least one of them was blatantly cheating. And the reaction of the survivors? just pure gaslighting. My dude, I had someone cornered on meatplant, if he went left or right, I would have seen it, I literally camped the corner in endgame and they were just gone.
And the stupid part of ALL OF THIS is that I still get aprox 65% killrate due to all the ppl in normal matches that instantly DC or AFK… killrates are so massively inflated by this.
Edit: and just to give you an idea of what kind of ppl these are. Their steam profile literally has a favorite guide link to "how to uninstall DBD". Blatant cheater trolls.
If I were rich, I would have just tested the stalking by buying another account. But im not rich, so I dont want to give BHVR money when they dont deserve it.
Edit2: and oh yeh, recording has ZERO impact. As I said before I have blatant video evidence on some steam account, which I am monitoring, and they dont get banned after my multiple reports so… so I stopped recording entirely.
UPDATE: one of those ppl send me their recording. So now I know who was cheating and they used the invisible cheat… EVERY FRIGGIN MATCH HAS A CHEATER THESE DAYS!!!!

Update: Another sunday in DBD… seems like all the unemployed cheaters are more prevelant on this day… oh boy… so far 3 in a row again. This is not just bad for the opponents but also the solo teammates that die. Cause cheaters literally don't care about anyone else, only themselfs.
WHAT is the point? Like I am testing them on SHORT filler loops with bloodlust 3 active and I literally cant catch up to them… WHAT IS THE POINT of this type of cheating????
UPDATE2: Make that 4 in a row… new record I guess. Am I being stalked by cheaters? Are they targeting me on my ID or IP? BHVR tell me why I should drop cash for DBD at this point? when you consider cheaters as valid customers… why?
UPDATE 3: 5 in a row… anyone do better than 5 in a row? people are literally instantly healing without styptics even being a thing anymore. its like they didnt get the memo … cheaters = low iq
UPDATE 4: 6 in a row… I guess people rly do think cheating is ok after that jedi dude kept promoting it… gees. And I rly am talking about blatant hackers as in bloodlust 3 cant catch up kinda of speedhacking. but BL is outdated feature right? ;)
UPDATE 5: 7 in a row… WTH IS GOING ON WITH DBD? BHVR can you pls help me if I am being stalked??? thanks…
Guess ill take another year break… I just hope the game isnt dead by the time I chose to play again. BHVR, the ball is in your court.

The MMR system needs a complete rework. Right now it is based purely on escape & kills. Which means good survivors that die in endgame, cause they actually play the game, they get put in lower MMR and get to (sort of) bully lower MMR killers… You can apply this to both sides rly… MMR might as well just be deleted at this point, cause it doesn't work. Random lobbies like in the old days would cause much less frustration than what we have now.

Low mmr. I don't tunnel, nor play with a mic. Just play in reality. NA as well. Both survivor and killer, pretty much equal.
Just take killer addons and perks that allow you to see as many auras during chase as possible (like all ears & zanshin etc). Play +100 matches like that, you'll soon realize how many subtle cheaters are in your lobbies. That is the only way to break the reality of players such as yourself ;)
That said tho, most Asian-Russian-Arab cheaters play on EU, so there will be a big disparity for sure between our experiences. But I'm just making this point cause you probably don't realize how many subtle cheaters you miss if you don't test it for yourself. Going full aura builds long term really opened my own eyes to the amount of rampant cheating going on on our server. Speedhackers being the most common, but also people with ESP who just mirror your every move perfectly when they can't see you behind high walls (much like a bot). And after 5k hours myself I can now easily tell cheaters apart from legit players without such builds, as I know what a legit player is supposed to be able to reach in certain situations (even at max wallhugging).
Honestly BHVR should add post match replays to DBD… That will also help people realize they are either just bad or open their eyes to the actual rampant cheating. Imagine how much less gaslit and sane killers would be with such a feature. Untill they do, we have to test it for ourselfs.

Are you playing mainly survivor? In NA? If so, than it's understandable, cheating in NA is less widely spread due to the local ethics, and most cheaters play survivor, so if they are trying to be "subtle", only the killer will notice it. You might have noticed the killer accusing one of your teammates of speedhacking or something in the end-game chat, you probably brushed that off and said something like "skill issue", defending your teammate, but "subtle" speedhackers are actually quite widespread, you will definitely notice them a lot if you play Nurse.
You are talking to someone who is either trolling, or is generally not that good at the game keeping him below top MMR, away from most cheaters. But I do guess it is possible that one region sees less cheaters over another… yet 10 cheaters over 7000 hours is a poor jest for sure. I see more than that in just 1 week (I play many hours per day, but still). It is also possible that his game knowledge is not up to par, brushing of cheaters like he got outplayed. These are the most likely scenarios.

The jedi guy is obviously a troll, so lets stop feeding him. Just put him on block/ignore. Cause I see a lot of ppl got baited into his little web of nonsense overnight :p If it were any other post on the actual topic of balance, I would let it fly and let him rant his dilulu takes, but not here.

Ya, the obvious ones are so obvious I think they take up most of the air on that side of the conversation. At least it's over quick lol
Well, not if you are unlucky like me to get 3 in a row, possibly the same person. But point is you die so fast that you get a penalty for it… you are done playing for that day.

Its especially sad given how easy some of these cheaters would be to find. Many have offerings from an anniversary before the character was released. The inventory of characters on every account is sitting in a database somewhere, a simple script could find these mismatches easy.
omg yes like wth I had so many of these yesterday… I'm always super nervous alrdy in the loading screen, when I see the 4man squad make anniversary offerings like 105 106 107 108 And me dropping the 109%… I always feel like they can see what my build is and they react to it in such a way. And as it turns out during the match, so many sus stuff happens, untill I actually overpower them and then they go blatant.

you want to silence the voice of reason because it disagrees with your rhetoric
No, cause you keep derailing the topic, But even worse on top of that pretty much excusing and promoting cheating…
