    It wouldn't be a big deal if Generators didn't get finished so quickly already on 10/15 Killers.

    @Boss

    Generators need a rework anyways, which I think is coming soon because they just finished the EGC. However, you cannot ignore how slow survivors can be when there is only 2/1 left.

    You are out of your mind. Left Behind doesn't need any of that. It needs something, but none of this.

    This isn't a big deal, I'll use mathematics to prove my point:

    Control:

    2 Survivors Alive:

    100% + 100% = 200% Efficiency.

    1 Chased/ 2 Survivors Alive:

    100% = 100% Efficiency.

    With Every Survivor using Left Behind:

    2 Survivors Alive:

    150% + 150% = 300% Efficiency.

    1 Chased/ 2 Survivors Alive:

    150% = 150% Efficiency.

    As you can see, it's not that big of a deal, and the moment you chase a survivor, their efficiency drops because the survivor has a bigger weight.

  • .... when you can just open the gates 99% and leave them.

    Honestly, I just play Pig and Trap every survivor. After there's at least two survivors with a trap then I'll open the gates for the survivors. They now have 1 minute to get everyone out because I have Blood Warden (I typically find at least one straggler to hook). Then I sit back and watch the fireworks! :)

    @NMCKE you had a fair chance when the game starts. You shouldn't have a "fair chance", when there's only one of you. Not that I wouldn object to a fixed minimum distance between gates. But keep in mind, if gates are VERY far from each other, it's the killer that's screwed. Maybe a fixed maximum distance would make sense too.

    @George_Soros

    @Orion

    The killer should have the advantage in a 1v1, but it shouldn't be impossible for the survivor either. If the gates are close in proximity of each other while they have LoS, I think we need to change that because at that point, the survivor minus well just sit in a corner for 2 minutes.

    It shouldn't be impossible for the survivor to escape, that's what I'm saying.

  • The closure of the hatch activates the two gates, the last hope for the last survivor. It must be an unsafe opportunity, but not impossible either.

    This isn't bad idea but it isn't perfect either. Perhaps, add a minimum distance of 64 meters and a maximum of 88 meters so the survivor has a chance but not too much of one if they are lucky with RNG. Also, the exit gates should never, REPEAT, never ever spawn in LoS from each other period.

  • @George_Soros said:

    For anyone who has an issue with the option to close Hatch, and the chance of gates being too close, making it easy for the killer to hunt down the last survivor, consider this:

    For a very long time, once hatch was open, killers were screwed. This time, once Hatch is closed by the killer, it's the last survivor who is screwed, true, but unlike with the previous hatch system, the current endgame mechanic still offers ways to turn the game around. As a survivor, you should plan for this. Think ahead, prepare. Get a purple key, scout out Hatch BEFORE your last mate dies, also find out how far the exit gates are placed, even take Wake Up (I know Wake Up is still a joke, but it can help a little).

    It's a new experience for all of us, I know: no more easy escapes if we are the last survivor standing. But if you use your brain, you can get out. EGC is definitely a big step towards a healthier game.

    @George_Soros

    I disagree, both the survivors and killers need a fair chance here. If the gates are within 32 meters from each other then that's just GG, minus well wait in a corner for 2 minutes rather than trying tbh. Overall, I don't care what side it benefits, if it's too unfair then it needs a change as soon as possible imo.

  • [Introduction]: Hello, some of you my recognize me from months ago when I was pretty active on the forums.

    I feel you, I was playing Nurse and the gates were in blinking distance from each other. However, luckily for the sole survivor, she had a key, but she would have been good as sacrificed if she didn't.

    Gates should spawn further than 64 meters from each other and they cannot be in LoS from each other.

  • The problem with Mom is how ridiculously easy it is to proc for how powerful an effect it has.

    I'm not saying your idea is bad but honestly, this would add a bunch of unnecessary complications.

    Here's what I'll do:

    • Hits from the killer whilst they are carrying a survivor should award stacks.
    • You only need 2 stacks to activate Mettle of Man, not 3 anymore.
    • After using Mettle of Man, you'll suffer the aura reading penalty immediately, not when you fully heal.
  • @ShyN3ko said:

    Im confused. RBT doesnt work in the endgame. Survivors could just go through gates with an inactive RBT.

    @ShyN3ko

    The RBTs were activated by the 5th generator.

  • @BACKSTABBER

    I was so excited when I hooked David because the rest were in for a big surprise. 😉

  • Gates open so incredibly quickly now, I am forced to slug near the handle if I want any chance.

    If 20 seconds is that bad for you, then I wonder how bad 15 seconds is?

  • @RoKrueger said:

    Maybe.... don't be so cheap?

    @RoKrueger

    Not everyone has the money to buy $100 headsets.

    @johnmwarner

    I play on console and I use Turtle Beaches. They cost around $30 dollars and they are really effective! :)

  • Cuz it is so useless to hide already and specially to nullify all these T-baggers~~ won't you not never not un-support this (not ever)? (y/n/######### man)

    Just open the gates and walk away, they can tbag themselves for 2 minutes.

    If they do have a cap, then it's not a 50% slowdown, it's a 50% time increase.

    @Orion

    That's correct but my point still stands, why have a cap?

  • @Orion said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/467496#Comment_467496

    I don't know if that's what he meant because a developer said, during the stream, that the maximum timer was 3 minutes if a survivor was hooked or dying.

    @Orion

    If what they said is true then I don't know why they have a slow cap.

    @Detective_Jonathan

  • @Almo said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/466601#Comment_466601

    This is not quite correct. When the timer slows down, it slows down by 50%. So if someone is hooked for the entire EGC, the amount of time maxes out at 3 minutes, not 4.

    @Almo

    Y'all he's saying that the person will die on the hook whenever there is 1 minute remaining on the EGC timer (2 minutes passed) assuming they was hooked at the very beginning of it. Therefore, 2 minutes passed during the hook slow and 1 minute remains on the collapse timer, this adds up to a 3 minute EGC timer.

    However, y'all are right, if the hook slow applied all throughout the EGC timer then we will have 4 minutes instead of 2.

    The Legion moves at 5.0m/s in Feral Frenzy, which last 10 seconds by default. So long as you don't activate Feral Frenzy from far away and you play well, you should be able to catch up.

    @Peanits

    Actually, I was able to loop a FF by only using windows in Léry's. Perhaps their vault speed decrease makes it easy for me maintain a safe distance.

  • @Delfador said:

    Does this mean you are gonna lose the bet?

    @Delfador

    This is probably pushing him to resign the bet.

  • @Shad03 said:

    @NMCKE I only did it when I feared BT or as Wraith when invisible, but never to actually hold the game hostage, I always moved/attacked after a few seconds.

    @Shad03

    I didn't mind killers waiting out BT or DS, that's okay IMO.

    However, trapping three survivors in the basement just to be killed by the EGC is just not acceptable. If I was the survivor who had to decide whether or not to open the exit gates, I wouldn't because killers shouldn't earn kills by doing nothing.

  • Honestly, I never liked basement blocking in the first place because killers could abuse it by keeping survivors there indefinitely. While not all killers are guilty, some were guilty and thus, likely caused the developers to make this change in the first place.

  • @Detective_Jonathan said:

    I might rep that leather jacket set....aw hell, I'mma rep both sets when I get back @NMCKE @FeelsVeryBadMan

    Also, I do think they knew that I knew about Saw because when Mathieu said to let him worry about it, it sounded like things were going great on his end.

    But if they do manage to add in shoulder holsters, to give off that stereotypical Detective look, then they have my support from here on out.

    @Detective_Jonathan

    Honestly, I'm just happy that we ARE receiving licensed cosmetics for our main. However, if they can, they should make it the best cosmetic because licensed cosmetics are likely not going to be plentiful in number.

  • @FeelsVeryBadMan said:

    @FeelsVeryBadMan

    Gawd, you killers better watch out because the po po is coming 😍

  • Next week, we will be holding another live Q&A on Twitch.

    @Peanits

    Do you plan on addressing a loophole within the EGC?

    If you don't know what I mean by loophole:

    Spoiler Spoiler Warning ▲▼

    I'm talking about survivors progressing the exit gates to a point where it's one tap away from opening. This can be used to bypass the EGC entirely which ruins the point in making one in the first place.

  • Dying Light:

    You become Obsessed with one survivor. Whenever your Obsession is unhooked, every survivor with the exception of the Obsession will suffer a 30%/40%/50% repair speed decrease for 120 seconds. While the penalty is active, the Obsession's repair speed is increased by 50%. Hooking the Obsession while the penalty is activate will cause it to be removed.

    • The killer can only be Obsessed with one survivor at a time.
  • This perk isnt about testing the survivors' mettle... It tests the killer's mettle.

    Change the following to balance the perk:

    • Build stacks by body blocking.
    • Whenever you lose your extra health state, apply the aura reading penalty immediately.
  • @Kiskashi said:

    @NMCKE Actually that would be pretty good but again that might be activation by choice and there's little downside as you said, I think as Clogwench stated before it's already in a pretty solid spot, might not be great to mess it up occasionally but that's the cost of using a perk that lets you track the killer the entire match...Great risk great reward I guess

    @Kiskashi

    Perhaps after you stop reading the killer's aura by uncrouching, your aura will remain visible to the killer for 3-5 seconds after deactivation.

  • @ClogWench said:

    Considering how strong it is, that's a pretty solid balance on it already. I think it's fine as is.

    @ClogWench

    I disagree, you're forced to look at a wall to prevent the killer from seeing you. However, while SWF can abuse the perk, for solo players it's not remotely useful.

  • @Kiskashi said:

    This is honestly why I don't run this perk, I'll accidentally look in the wrong direction for 2s and be like sorry team, just sharing loving glances with the killer. Do you think it would be viable as a cooldown/token based perk? Activation by choice may be too overpowered though now that I consider how this perk can be used though... Bookmarking out of interest

    @Kiskashi

    Hmm, I feel like crouching AND looking at the killer's would work perfectly. However, I can't think of a downside.

  • Since the game has been updated, almost every game I have had has a killer who will slug you, close hatch and then let you bleed out.

    I understand your point, it feels terrible but the best thing you can do is try your best to avoid that situation.

    If you're always in a 1v1 situation, run Object of Obsession and Sole Survivor. These perks will help you sneak progression on to the exit gate until it's open.

  • @Delfador said:

    @NMCKE Yeah a lot of people forget about that situation as well.

    It is not just the end game, the killer can go and body block the basement whenever he wants. It is not holding the game hostage because the other survivors can end the game. Blocking basement was just not healthy and bound to be removed, and it happened finally.

    I still have sympathy for the killers who used body block to play around borrowed time, DS plays and I am sorry for that but sometimes ######### like this happens.

    @Delfador

    I didn't mind killers waiting out BT or DS since that process wasn't scummy imo. However, getting sacrifices for doing nothing is not okay; killers should have to put effort in their kills.

  • @ba_tetsuo said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/463869#Comment_463869

    Thats not a stalemate. Thats 2 dead 2 escaped. EGC makes it so that the game can no longer be held hostage once gates are open. Thats a 50% survival rate, IE balanced

    @ba_tetsuo

    That is a stalemate because, for example, if 3 of my teammates are trapped in the basement then I'm surely not going to open the gates and let my teammates die. It's not holding the game as hostage either because I'm trying to save my teammates, just like the old hatch standoff isn't holding the game as hostage (both sides are trying to win).

  • @fcc2014 said:

    The basement should be a bad place to be and risky. I don't have a problem with a killer being able to block the stairs even in the endgame. If someone gets put down in the basement during the endgame its GG can't save everyone!

    @fcc2014

    Then we enter a stalemate because the survivors cannot open the gates (EGC kills half of the team) and the killer cannot move (half of the survivors will likely escape). Just like the hatch standoff, whatever side acts first will lose.

    I thought we was supposed to stop stalemates?

  • @ASurvkillivorer said:

    Moment this game goes the "pass" route I will finally distance myself.

    The cosmetics are already a major ripoff and I think actually hurting themselves. I mean I could buy some cosmetics for a few dollars. But 10 dollar outfits? To have a "bonus" in purchasing auric cells that they blatantly deny by making the 10 dollar outfits technically cost MORE than the 10. How more people aren't furious about that is crazy to me. I can't even SEE myself as a killer ######### I wanna spend over $10 on outfits for. I swear some of the more elaborate skins actually hurt the framerate as is...

    They already should given Auric cells for devotion levels. You get NOTHING for a devotion level much like rank. Give us some actual in game rewards before anything else and then you people can do your " PLZ I WOULD LIKE TO PAY U FOR BONUS XPZZZZ DURR"

    The season pass would be cheaper than buying everything from it individually. However, nevertheless if we do get one, it should be more about the player rather than a cash cow.

    Well, I’m downvoting this simply because what is said about Tapp mains isn’t no true, as far as I know me and @NMCKE are the only experienced Tapp mains out there.

    And while I do agree with the fog whisperer/twitch streamer stuff you have to realize BHVR is just going to keep being corrupt and there’s nothing we can do about it.

    @Detective_Jonathan

    Well, I only play Detective Tapp for his looks and personality. It fits mine unlike other survivors to offer and btw, I'm not great in chases so I don't see where he got the term "tryhard" from. Now about the Nurse mains being "UBER TRYHARD", I guess to negatives make a positive because I'm a nice Nurse main, just don't test me and I'll make sure that you're having fun.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/61708/mettle-of-man-rework-reasoning-and-justification

    Just one thing... You prefer and extra hook state instead of a single extra hit...

    What is wrong with you?

    And you are not balancing it with a extra hook, you are balancing it with a really easy conuter play that surely will make the perk useless, thats why DS has that high timer to get use, to be useful and cant be avoid easily.

    Honestly, what is wrong with you? (Just joking xD)

    @BlackReaper

    It's not really easy to counter if you don't know what perks they may have.

  • @Shad03

    Honestly, I don't understand the point of resetting the power gauge besides Legion somewhat. Whenever I play against a Legion, I would often try to pallet stun them to prevent the second Frenzy hit. However, now that the second hit doesn't matter, we can remove the crippling power gauge effect for the Legion.

  • @MyNamePete said:

    The only problem I Have with this is how killers could just rehook you and farm you for points or just follow you and wait to down you and hook you again like borrowed time.

    @MyNamePete

    How would they know that you have MoM? If you're the Obsession, there are multiple possibilities on the Obsession perks that you can equip.

    About the farming thing, just report them for griefing and hope for the best. Some perks can be abused to create a toxic environment such as Object of Obsession.

  • @thesuicidefox said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/460972#Comment_460972

    Then that's a good play on survivor's part. But it allows for counter play from the killer at least, where currently there kind of isn't any.

    @thesuicidefox

    You're right, there is counter play and I'd like to see it implemented soonTM. Anyways, what do you think about my version of MoM?

  • @thesuicidefox said:

    MoM should require bodyblock/protection hits to trigger. Then reduce the hits from 3 to 2. This allows killers counter play options as they can simply avoid hitting the MoM user while carrying or chasing someone else, but keeps the perk more or less the same as it is now. That would be the most fair solution IMO.

    @thesuicidefox

    I mean yeah, sure, that's a great solution but the thing is, sometimes you have to hit a survivor. Killers can only hook in one direction so if survivors are smart, they will camp the front of the hook.

    However, your idea is really good but sadly, it's going to take a while for it to become a thing.

    according to the stats, the game is balanced.

    Most killers sit around a 50% kill rate, which is what they are shooting for. even if this wasn't broken down by rank.

    While that is true, some killers are forced to run certain add ons and perks to reach that 50% threshold.

  • What's one thing that Micheal Myers and Detective David Tapp have in common?

    Spoiler Spoiler Warning ▲▼

    They are Obsessed 😉

  • @legion_main said:

    @NMCKE How would Mettle be activated?

    @legion_main

    Whenever you're unsafely recused from the hook. The perk will deactivate when you're either hooked or recovered from the dying state.

  • Mettle of Man:

    Evil always has a way to find you. Whenever you are unsafely recused from the hook, Mettle of Man will activate. Upon being hooked while Mettle of Man is activated, your previous hook state will be ignored and while your current hook phase is extended by 10/20/30 seconds. Perk is deactivated after being successfully used.

    Increases your chances of becoming the killer's Obsession.

  • @ShyN3ko said:

    Bodyblocking is bannable if you cant lose or win the game.

    I'll add on to that:

    Basically he means you have to DC because "you cant lose or win the game."

    This how you lose or win as a survivor in case some people are confused.

    • You cannot get sacrificed, killed, or escape.
  • So I had this idea in a while and now I want to bring to you guys to discuss about it.

    I wouldn't mind this, it's really convenient to have everything ready to use on a click of a button.

  • Disclaimer: this is not whining, complaining or a discussion about balance.

    Plague: Not bad, but survivors have too much control on her strength. This can cause her to be weak due to the no heal meta or strong because your mates don't like to be injured. Overall, I give her a 8/10 on the fun scale going against her.

    Legion (Before PTB): Terrible, terrible meaning you're good as hooked once found. At least Nurse, even with her ability to teleport directly to survivors, needed skill input to get her downs. Overall, they was ____ (Fill in the blank):

    A.) "Badly designed and is a 0."

    B.) "Trash and is a 0."

    C.) "A mistake and is a 0."

    Legion (After PTB): Honestly, a step in the right direction but at the cost of making them weaker. Since they have counter play, it's now fun to play against them. This is why I like counter play because it feels so good to out play your opponent. Therefore, they reached a 7 on the fun scale going against them.

    Spirit:

    She's great, the survivors and her have an equal say in chases. Same thing with the after PTB Legion explanation, counter play makes things more fun to play against. Spirit, while being like a Nurse, is a 9 on the fun scale going against them.
