This list is in know particular order. Just felt like doing something good for once that didn't involve me posting DC's or Salt from my games.
What's up detective? Did you run into any pigs?

It's a 3 minute time limit for how long you can t-bag the killer at the gate.
I wonder how many tbags you can fit in a 3 minute timer! However, in all seriousness, I really like the new endgame since it solves a lot of DBD problems!
-
I wished BHVR held Fog Whispers at a higher standard because some of them are entering questionable territory. It's just terrible to see the people who are supposed to be good examples do the exact opposite.

Easter was good. My work is closed for Easter, so I got today off hehe. It's been a pretty lazy day since I couldn't really do much that's typically related to Easter. @NMCKE Easter Egg Hunts are fun. ^^
Anyways, do you have any advice for dealing with SWF? @PhantomMask20763 gave me some advice earlier but I wanna see if you have anything different.

So, how was Easter for everyone? My family had a huge egg hunt, it was great!

I never got why us humans eat candy on Easter? Like what does the day of rabbits (and the religious meaning of the holiday but I'm not going to go too deep into that) have to do with candy? Is it just marketing or do people just want another holiday so they can eat candy? The world may never know...
Candy make any holiday amazing, and it's huge bank for business! :)

Then DBD would be unplayable because no one likes being dodged, literally. Just like how no one likes DCs because it basically prevents you from having a balanced game.
Just imagine if survivors could see what killer you're playing as and you kept getting dodged until you played a killer that best suited their needs. It wouldn't be fun, wouldn't it?
I honestly don't mind being dodged by a killer because I understand how broken SWF can be. Like you say, no one likes DCs because it prevents people from having a balanced game. On the other hand, dodging SWF is an attempt to prevent having an unbalanced game. One breaks the balance. The other brings balance back to the game. Because I understand that difference, I'm able to empathize with my opponents. It saddens me that most people can't.
When you queue, both the killer and survivor should be prepared for anything. Dodging and DC basically says you wasn't ready to play DBD and need a break (exception: Sudden real life events)
Then one can also argue that "when you first load up the game, both the killer and survivor should be prepared for anything, which includes killer choosing not to play against SWFs. If you are bothered by that, it basically says you aren't ready to play DBD and need a break." If you can make up your own rule like, "if you queue..." everyone else can make up their own rules also.

Dodging doesn't just happen on SWF, it happens for any reason you can make up tbh. However, with that said, I understand how difficult SWF can be since communication breaks the fundamentals of DBD but regardless, you should try your best in these scenarios since being a quitter gives you a 0% chance of winning. I have more respect for survivors and killers who have perseverance, rather than just giving up at the sight of a challenge.

Translation:
Killers don't have to be ready for a hard challenges but survivors have to be ready for hard challenges.
You're literally contradicting yourself when you said that. Survivors have to be ready for anything, but they can't be ready when the other side isn't ready.

If I had to guess, in their mind, dodging is their preparation. I'd honestly rather have a killer dodge me than one who DCs when we're in the trial.
What's preparing for the unexpected that doesn't include dodging and DC'ing?
The answer is being a few steps ahead.

According to OP, that can be avoided anyway, so it's not really relevant.
It's debatable, sometimes in congested hallways you can get stuck on a few things while on the other hand, Iron Grasp buys you more time by preventing that.

Iron Grasp doesn't even add two seconds of wiggle time. It's worthless.
@Orion Technically it does more than just increasing wiggle time because it prevents you from bumping into objects and thus, preventing you from wasting precious wiggle time.

They don't play DbD at the time. They dodge and wait for a group of survivors that doesn't look troll-y.
@Orion then why queue when you wasn't prepared for the unexpected? I mean, I get that killers can be weak against SWF but that's a discussion for a later time since it breaks the fundamentals of DBD. I'm not just targeting killers here, survivors are wayyyyy more guilty than killers since they DC because they didn't prepare to go against a Doctor.

If it's unfun being dodged because killers want to have a more balanced hidden information game, why don't the survivors who don't like being dodged go play something else?

Hey, I'm not saying it's rational, I'm just saying that trying to force people to play trials they don't think are going to be fun won't work. Keep in mind that every killer that quits means another four survivors can't get a lobby.
That's the point, you don't even have to play DBD if it's unfun for you at time. Why queue for a game that you think might not be fun? If you queue for a game, you should be expecting the unexpected and don't get upset whenever you get something you dislike. Prepare for the worst and hope for the best.
-
@Orion said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/432784#Comment_432784
My point was something much more fundamental: you can't force people to play games they don't want to play. They have alternatives and will just leave.
@Orion , then why play a game that's unfun for you? Why don't you play something else or take a break for a while? There will be times where DBD is just not fun anymore and that it's time to relax for a while. Perhaps the game will be fun again after a hour or so, ya know?

Take out your perks and items, don't play SWF. Aren't you confident in your skill?
@Orion Everyone has their right to use whatever they want in their game, your goal is to win after all, BUT survivors and killers alike are taking that right away from each other.
Therefore, my solution is to lock the lobby once the killer joins one so that no one can leave it, including survivors. At the 30 second marker, survivors will have their items, perks, and offerings locked in place which means they can no longer change what they already have equipped. If at anytime a survivor's PING stays in the red area for too long, the killer can kick the survivor from the lobby.
DCing will be punished harder once dedicated servers roll out! Can't wait to see what they are!

"Anything and everything gets repetitive with time."
A lot of things may feel repetitive. Simply things with an unsure nature do not feel repetitive. RNG, scarcity etc.
Actually, the most fun thing in the match for a survivor is in fact the killer. A mechanic that would involve or increase the chances of a survivor interacting with the killer would be ideal.
The current Gen may feel repetitive, but they at least are not exuberantly demanding, rendering them the better, yet unideal solution.
I simply do not believe that any for of mini-game would be a fun solution for generators. Even if you picked the most famous dopamine inducing mobile games, such as flappy bird or candy crush and made them thematically fitting with DBD and generators, would want to play that 5 times each match of DBD.
I don't think that changing the complexity of the generator process is inherently flawed, but I do think that doing that in the form of anything resembling the typical mini-game would be something that everyone would be disillusioned with quite quickly as a permanent addition to the DBD formula.
I think your idea of parts would be a good way to make doing generators more fun.

Trapper could put a trap under a hooked survivors feet to make saves 100% impossible.
Sabotage was meta for that reason (besides permanent hooks) because traps were being used to camp and they didn't respawn as well.

@Nickenzie I like you and all, but don't ever include "Legion" and "mid-tier" in the same sentence again. That has to be the dumbest thing i have read so far lol.
Well, I could be wrong but I really think Legion won't be as bad as people are making it out to be. I wished Legion had a secondary power that allowed you to pounce on survivors after you tagged enough survivors with Frenzy.

@Kagrenac said:
Y'know why don't we make blindness just make survivors have black screens so they can't see anything
This is a good effect, and the higher tiers could make blindness cover more of the screen or/and reduce your perception of the killer's terror radius.

What is your Dead by Daylight Unpopular Opinion? Something that goes against the social norm. Do you think nurse is the worst character in the game?
Your win condition as the killer isn't all based on the survivors mistakes, most of it is based on your skill as the killer.

Dc issue is came to a point where the game is actually unplayable right now.
Hello,
Sorry to hear about your inconvenience but DCs will be punished harder once dedicated servers are released. However, on the bright side, BHVR does have a system that flags a player for DC'ing more than a % of their games. Once players are flagged, ACMs will administer a temporary ban according to the escalation below:

@Orion said:
Mad Grit is amazing for this very reason, but survivors blocking the "Hook" prompt should be considered an exploit, IMO. If survivors can unhook from every direction, killers should be able to hook from every direction as well.
@Orion, my man, you're misusing the word "exploit". An exploit is when you use a bug or a glitch to your advantage. If the developers had previously mentioned that survivors blocking the hook prompt was a bug/glitch and you later see survivors blocking the hook; they would be exploiting. However, the developers never mentioned hook blocking being a bug/glitch so we can deduce that it's NOT a bug/glitch. That means survivors blocking the hook are NOT exploiting. I respect your opinion but that facts stand, survivors body blocking is an intended mechanic.

Wait till the goddamn PTB for the Legion changes, sheesh Everyone also seems to forget the fact the Legion got bugged to 115% movement speed, they didn’t just n…
Legion will be mid tier after the PTB update which isn't as bad as others are making it out to be.
With this update to Legion: You're going to need just a little more skill while using Frenzy but will get a longer duration as compensation. After injuring all survivors with Frenzy, it's a basic M1 chase but this chase is 100% faster than normal because you only need 1 hit instead of two (not accounting for DH, Adrenaline, MoM). Being injured against a M1 killer is more threatening so survivors might be encouraged to heal and waste more time.
Summary: Legion is a Pig but can be a Pig with infinite RBT in some scenarios. Can waste time if the survivors heal while being easily to injure survivors.

What was the reasoning of starting the collapse timer when the exit gates are opened rather than the 5th generator? Have you tried increasing the timer to compensate for the faster activation?

@Peanits Previously mentioned that it was a debug command that allowed them to test the endgame collapse. Don't worry, you'll never see this scenario happen!
-
These are the end game perks that i believe will either be too strong in endgame collapse, have potential to work better with it, or won't work at all due to its introduction.
Honestly, Wake Up should increase your endgame timer by 40/50/60 seconds or increase the endgame timer for all survivors by 10/15/20 seconds. Furthermore, it should show the auras of the exit gates while granting infinite bond during the endgame.
-
+1
Bashing the developers doesn't do any good to be honest.

Is there any ideas for adding an incentive for tagging multiple survivors with Frenzy? Currently with these changes, mending will be the same as before which means it can be easily removed. This worries since the damage caused by tagging multiple survivors can be easily undone, at least how it seems currently.

So, they didn't listen to the Spirit or Clown feedback? What's with all hate from you recently doc?
-
I don't think that would be fair for the most part since regardless of how good of a survivor you are, you cannot 1v1 the killer. Knowing this, if your teammates get trapped for being terrible and then you destroy the killer yet get caught with BL. You'll get the death trap despite playing the best out of your team, that's just not right.
I'll suggest something to make them waste more time but become more deadly as survivors work on generators.
RBT:
-RBT have a 60 second idle timer, this is the time that the trap remains inactive before being activated. This timer will start whenever you're NOT in a chase, on the hook, or while in the dying state. If a survivor works on a generator whenever the RBT is in this status, it will immediately move to the next phase.
-The RBT is now active, you now have 3 minutes to remove the RBT before it triggers and thus, killing you. This timer will start whenever you're NOT in a chase, on the hook, or while in the dying state. If a survivor works on a generator whenever the RBT is in this status, the timer will progress 25% faster than normal.
-
@Karaage said:
Hey there, just dropped in to share my idea on RBTs. Thought about it some time ago, but I don't think it's good enough so didn't write about it.
My idea of reworking RBTs would be to completely remove RNG elements from it. It would work as follows:
>You start the Trial with 5 Traps, but only 4 Boxes.
>Removing Traps in Box now has 100% chance of succeeding, but time required to remove them is increased (You may make it so that time required is increased depending on how many generators are done).
>Removing Trap permanently disables the Box that was used for the remainder of the Trail.
>Survivors removing Trap can be interrupted by other survivors with Trap.
>Pig can't interrupt survivor removing Trap in the last Box.
So my idea is so that survivors can remove Traps in any Box, but doing so removes the Box from the game, so as game goes on Pig has less Boxes to patrol. I made it so there's less Boxes than Traps so being last survivor trapped is a death sentence (unless hatch) so do Your best to not be the last one ;)
I also added that survivors with Traps on them can interrupt each other while removing them in Box. I thought it's add tension for when there's only 1 Box left and 2 survivors have Traps on them. Either 1 of them be altruistic and die for the other or both die together :)
So, what if I get the last trap? Am I just dead?
-
I'll like to bring this topic back up since recently RNG with the Pig has been terrible. Even as a survivor, I feel like the removal of a RBT on your first box is a bit much!
-
@not_Queen said:
No numbers were released with this communication. Just the general changes.
You will all be able to test the Legion Update in the upcoming PTB.
We are currently gathering all your questions and we'll try to answer them either later this week in an addition to the original post or next week during a livestream.
Keep the feedback coming in :)
What if attacking a survivor with FF while they already have the DW status increased the DW time and mend time? Or if hitting consecutive stabs with FF (going to one survivor to another) had the same effect that I previously said? What if Legion could see the auras of survivors mending and if survivors stopped mending for whatever reason, they enter the dying state. I really like this idea because they actually have to waste time finding a spot or else they risk getting found and soon after, downed.
-
As title say..I'm another one who has had enough!
Au revoir mon amis! :(
-
If the mend time combo is considered an exploit, then Leigon needs to be buffed to compensate.
Don't worry, Legion is getting a rework! :)
