    you know I had a perk idea for survivors where everyone’s scratch marks dissipate faster but yours last longer. Like a perk for people who like to play distraction.

    There is only one problem that I have with tunneling, it conflicts with the emblem system. Killers will get a few sacrifices yet do so poorly in the emblem system because they didn't get enough chases in. Therefore, we need the game to reflect that by either making chases harder when you tunnel someone. This will reflect your emblems because if you tunnel and get a few kills, you might de-pip because you're taking on harder chases.

  • Tunneling should be nerfed, AFTER generators are solved because I'm starting to see what some killer mains are talking about.

    However, let's assume we went 1 year in the future and killers are finally balanced. I'll like to see a Adrenaline feature added to prevent tunneling such as:

    -7% haste effect for 1 minute after being unhooked.

    -Scratch marks are hidden for 1 minute after being unhooked.

    -Farmers receive no bloodpoints for unsafe hooks and don't get their WGLF stacks (exception: Basement and endgame unhooks since most of the times there is no control on whether or not they are safe).

  • It seems like the discussion is getting out of hand so I'll shine some light on a dark room. Seriously, banning on the first DC is not the right way to go about things because there are legitimate reasons to DC. For example, what would do if a killer blocked you in the basement? You can't DC because of the perma ban so you're forced to wait till the killer leaves.

    We just need a queue penalty, that's all! :)

    No that's called exploiting the same as survivors getting on top of rocks etc to avoid getting downed. If it was something they intentionally put in the game to be used they'd have said hey this is ok now like looping.

    You know kinda like how they've said survivors climbing onto rocks is an exploit and thus bannable if caught.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/058/Z88WEGTDJ75T.png

    Kinda like how this is an exploit of terrain, which I'd been screwing around during this match to see how someone got up here in a different game. I already forwarded this to the devs attention months ago and I'm pretty sure it's been patched.

    You could get to the very front of this and if you had Insidious camp it like a champ because no one would look up to see if killer is camping there.

    @powerbats

    How does that give you an unfair advantage? Survivors can just rush the generators and run out the door. Yeah sure, you shouldn't be up there but exploiting is when you use a bug to your advantage. I don't see where you have an unfair advantage there so that's okay but I wouldn't sit there for long because survivors could report you thinking you're hacking.

    So by your logic since any survivor before could land on a spot the killer couldn't reach that wasn't an exploit? Over 3000 posts and you say something that dumb really?

    @Ttwylerr

    That's different, a survivor can hold the game as hostage and it gives the survivor an unfair advantage because the killer can't reach them.

    Fyi, if you disagree with me, you can at least be nice about it.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/418873#Comment_418873

    If it is intended than why isnt it public that it is? Why would they not tell us this is a thing we can do now? Cause it's a bug that people shoukdnt be able to do.

    It's not breaking the rules, you know besides the fact it is because its exploiting a bug, and just because every killer can do it doesnt make it not an expoilt either.

    If every killer had the mend thing like legion, than moonwalking wouldnt be an exploit cause every killer can do it, NO it's still a bug that you shouldnt be using.

    @TheRoyalOwl

    I never did this because I can do the same thing with Nurse but without the requirements that other killers need to perform it. It does look fair for regular killers because the killer has to have the high ground, time the lunge, and while the survivor is oblivious to the killer's position. The killer is not gaining an advantage, the killer is just playing smart and using the geography to his advantage. Think of it as a Claudette using grass to camouflage herself.

  • You start the trial with 5 tokens based on the numbers of totems. For each totem that is still on the map grants the followed effect: No Skill check warning.

    This is the perfect buff to the perk, survivors will get warned by the perk upon their first skill check or failed skill check (due to the regression penalty) but will have to do a lot of cleansing to deactivate it. Furthmore, this newly buffed perk is more friendly to survivors who can't hit greats.

  • I had numerous end-game discussions with survivors where I catch them by getting on dropped pallets and thus shortcut the loop (where it is possible, of course).

    It's intended but it's very, VERY cheap in the survivors point of view. However, the killer needs to be at a higher elevation and time his lunge perfectly or get severely punished.

    Let's look at the rules of DBD:

    It also doesn't break the game rules because any killer can do that so you're not gaining an unfair advantage. Survivors can predict when you're going to lunge over a vault or pallet so they HAVE counter play. Finally, the developers likely seen that this was already possibility because anyone can get the idea of lunging over a pallet or a vault. It's just common sense to use gravity in your favor, why shouldn't survivors use DH to go over certain gaps?

  • You start the trial with 5 tokens based on the numbers of totems. For each totem that is still on the map grants the followed effect: No Skill check warning.

    I like this, this is like a reverse NOED but harder to remove. However, I feel like the regression penalty should be connected to the dull totems since it would make sense with the perk.

    For every dull and Hex totem remaining in the trial, survivors' suffer a 2%/3%/4% regression penalty.

  • Seems this is what the majority want, so just do it and get it over with already. "No one said that!" Yes, yes they have. On dozens of threads. Go look.

    I don't think that's the right way to go about things. Perhaps a queue penalty with a 50% BP penalty for their next 3 games would be a better option.

    at tier 3 thats 45Seconds of chase for just 3 TOKENS. for a perk that can only be used once and hoping to lose the killer. also im tired of these token perks theyre trash. anyways, good suggestion but i dont like it

    Yeah, but it can be used more than once and I used tokens because it's easier to word the perk.

  • Here's my rework, it solves a community problem so hopefully y'all will like it! :)

    Mettle of Man:

    Evil always finds its way to you. Everytime you enter a chase for 15 seconds while winning it afterwards, receive a token up to a maximum of 5/4/3 tokens. When at maximum tokens, your next source of damage that would put you into the dying state will be ignored. After a successful Mettle of Man, the killer will see your aura when you're in a 8 meter range.

    Increases your chances of becoming the killer's obsession.

  • ...than the current 150+ on the most recent Developer Update. https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/196/7QK5RLDW4R5A.jpeg

    It's because our community wants the absolute best for the game and seeing what Queen said about the game's health (as well as its future) really made us happy. :)

  • Groovy?

  • Last Stand (Survivor Very Rare):

    You'll be sacrificed upon your first hook but gain the ability to see the killer's aura for the entire trial.

    Secret

    Construction Tape (Killer Very Rare):

    Start the trial with a generator already completed but 3 pallets and vaults will be removed from this trial.

    NOLB: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/53943/no-one-left-behind-rework#latest

    Calm Spirit: No sound notification when you miss the skillcheck during self-healing. No sound when falling.

    Detective's Hunch, Deja Vu, Dark Sense: Each time a gen is completed.

    Sole Survivor: Each time you escape a killer during a 15 seconds chase, you gain a token up to maximum 4.

    For each token your aura cannot be read by the killer within a maximum range 14/16/18. EDIT: You lose a token when you get a hit by the killer.

    Knock out: Dying survivors recovery speed is reduced by 25%.

    WGLF: More ways to get a token. This is just a farm perk.

    Mounstrious shrine: Each time you hook a different survivor the bar progress of repairing generators is blocked for survivors for 10/12/14 seconds. Grants 100% bonus bloodpoints in sacrifice category.

    Territorial Imperative: Unlocks potential in one's Aura-reading ability.

    Survivors' Auras are revealed to you for 4/5/6 seconds when they enter the Basement. No cooldown and no meter range.

    @Ihatelife

    I'd like to expand on your list but with different perks!

    Stake Out:

    Being near the killer gives you determination! For every 15 seconds while in a chase, receive a token up to a maximum of 3/4/5 tokens. Every token considers failed skill checks as good skill check and good skill checks as great skill checks. Lose a token upon every activation.

    Calm Spirit:

    Your Calm Spirit is able to attract wildlife. See the auras of all crows within a 32/40/48 meter range. Crows will show a white aura whenever the killer is within a 16 meter range. You do not disturb crows while running or walking.

    We're Gonna Live Forever:

    You make sure your friends are safe. Upon safely rescuing a survivor from a hook, see the killer's aura for 3/4/5 seconds and receive a 50% bonus bloodpoint multiplier up to a maximum of 100% bonus bloodpoints. Bonus bloodpoints are awarded post-trial.

    Hey, an improvement is an improvement. And to me I still swear up and down that it does hit 60 FPS and if the Xbox DVR could record 60 FPS I would prove it to everyone.

    Wait, our FPS isn't locked on 30? It goes higher?

  • Yes, Nurse is actually playable on the XB1 X since the console is more optimized than your previous XB1. However, sadly our FPS is locked on 30 FPS and we can't edit files to remove the lock so we can get better FPS! :(

  • Let's take a second to appreciate some players that made you go "I'm not even mad about this loss" To that Huntress who shot me from literally all the way across the map that one time on coldwind.

    To that pig who tbag a farming survivor with me, that survivor was high ranked so I don't know why he would farm everyone.

  • Let me explain the title before the tides of Killer hell come crashing down.

    @CallMeBacon

    Yes, Ruin is indeed unfun to go against because of the halt it has. However, removing it could cause the perk to become useless BUT I think there's a way to remove it if...

    Ruin prevented survivors from removing the regression status from a generator. Therefore, since generator regression is -0.25 charges every second and survivors repair 1 charge every second, survivors will now repair a regressing generator at 0.75 charges every second. That's a 25% repair penalty for just one survivor but the killer has to start the regression, Ruin won't do it for them.

  • @Coriander said:

    No skill checks at that stage, please. It should just be a button if you want to give up.

    Struggle skill checks won't be the end of the world. They could make them immune to debuffs and the severs could make sure that they won't lag at the cost of something else (probably cut your render distance since it's not important while hooked).

  • Tired of this game's outdated struggle mechanic being inconsistent with ping/lag ######### things over, not to mention sometimes just doesn't want to work for literally no reason at all....

    I wished the struggle phase used skill checks that are immune to debuffs while the game prioritize them. Prioritize meaning they wouldn't lag because the game made sure they are.

  • Sometimes I really get into some hilarious hijinks with survivors, like the time I saw all 4 survivors on a roof of the Strode house as pig and we all spent a solid 10 minutes just crouched down nodding at eachother.

    I remember a Pig tunneling me and I gave up at the last second because I knew that I was already dead. However, she didn't down me right away and just nodded at me! I crouched nodding back and she crouched with me while doing the same thing, then I cut to the end by pointing at a hook so she would sacrifice me!

  • I thought nurse was the weakest killer and Freddy was the strongest. (Serious)

    I thought survivors needed buffs because I was terrible.

  • @Jigmac said:

    @Nickenzie

    50% feels too much, i think lowering pip requirement would be better than increased action speed. As for the bloodpoints, giving a stack for wglf and bbq users if someone dc's is nice.

    @Jigmac

    About the 50%, I'm not talking about a loading DC, I'm talking about during the trial DC. The reason behind the 50% is because if a survivor DCs after loading in, your team has 5 generators to do in a 3v1.

  • @Jigmac said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/408585#Comment_408585

    @Nickenzie fair enough but what about what @sKetch said? I would say implement that but also keep punishing dc's so it dosen't get abused by swf.

    @Jigmac

    I feel like if a survivor DCs, all remaining players including the killer will gain 5,000 post-trial bloodpoints and the remaining survivors will get a 50% action speed bonus (repair, heal, cleanse). If the killer DCs, all survivors will get 10,000 post-trial bloodpoints and will safety pip if they haven't already.

    Side Note: A survivor DC will award a stack of WGLF and BBQ to everyone.

  • @Jigmac said:

    What about those who will just afk or suicide on the hook after reaching the final warning so they can go do find another match after ruining the one they were on.

    @Jigmac

    Good question, if I see a survivor AFK or run to the killer and kill themselves then I'll report the survivor for griefing since he or she was purposefully sabotaging my game. Even if I'm not sure, I'll still report the survivor because if other survivors reported him or her, the ACMs will take care of the griefer.

    Holy moly, every game that I played ever since I got back home has a DC in it. This is getting out of control, is there any ideas on how to handle this because playing survivor is literally a death wish for me! You don't have to be specific either, just something to let me and the community know that you are already planning a new system!

  • And what perks do you use with them?

    Nurse:

    -BBQ

    -Nurse Calling

    -Devour Hope

    -Haunted Grounds, Rancor, OR Make Your Choice

    I personally would like to see the bugs/issues ironed out of the game especially basement stair bodyblocking, 1,2,3 man games etc etc before a ban system is put in place.

    Just forward thinking in case a toxic player wants to ruin your next queue by bodyblocking. Or you get a slew of buggy matches/infinite loading screens.

    @CornChip

    Great point, you could report the killer for holding the game as hostage and the ACMs could review your case. If your report is valid, they will reduce your DC count and provide you with 200,000 BP as compensation for your BP penalty. If you're banned, they will remove the ban and provide you with even more compensation.
