  • I have recently got into the use of Hex: Devour Hope and my LARGEST CONCERN is this:

    @Peanits

    I'll like to see totems be placed at unusual positions such as, for example, the second floor of the McMillan Estate: Iron Works of Misery. Perhaps we could make the basement bigger and probably stick a totem in there as well. If maps weren't so flat, besides from your occasional hill, totems could be hidden in the ground.

    Just spitting some ideas here! :)

    @Nickenzie My first p3 was Dwight lmao

    @Gamzello

    I really like Jake but when the Saw DLC came out, I was really interested in Tapp. Mainly because he just fits my personality; he has perseverance and always gave everything his 110% effort! Jake was too plain for me, he didn't really fit me so I moved on as a Tapp main! :3

    Sorry!

  • Screenshot_20190403-125222_Chrome.jpg

    Took it on my phone and it wasn't even a challenge. Most of these answers could be easily eliminated by process of elimination.

    I don't main Jake now but he was my very first P3 survivor! 🙂

    This was only one of several matches like this and I honestly believe that this was NOT a SWF group.

    @not_Queen These matches aren't fun and they're becoming more and more frustrating to deal with. What can be done about this?

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/986/MQMCNORWRBEC.jpg

    @NoShinyPony Here's a 2k from SpaceCoconut which is benchmark for killers to get. Take note that 3 survivors are using MoM (plus other strong perks) and he still got benchmark on sacrifices, see far from unplayable as demonstrated.

  • Honestly I don't see the big deal with this update. Yeah, survivors got a few buffs but these buffs won't make killer unplayable either, actually far from it. I play a lot of killer and it's not that bad, I manage 2ks and 3ks most of the times and that's without me using Nurse. Is it more difficult? If survivors use MoM but when they don't, it's like the patch never happened and the same applies to DS buff if you don't tunnel. Seriously, it's crazy how y'all are saying the game is literally unplayable because of a single perk.

  • If I was BHVR, here's what I'll do to the perk!

    Decisive Strike:

    Using whatever is at hand, you stab at your aggressor in an ultimate attempt to escape. After being unhooked or unhooking yourself, Decisive Strike will become active and usable for 10/15/20 seconds. The timer will be paused while in a chase or in the dying state. While Decisive Strike is active, when grabbed by the Killer, succeed a Skill Check to automatically fill the wiggle meter to 100%.

    • Succeeding or failing the Skill Check will disable Decisive Strike.
    • Successfully stunning the Killer will result in you becoming the Obsession.

    Notice that I said "fill the wiggle meter", this means you wiggled free and NOT stunned the killer. Therefore, Enduring won't affect Decisive Strike because wiggling free stuns aren't affected by Enduring. Furthermore, if I'm correct, I think wiggling free is a 2 or 3 second stun so it also nerfs the survivors head start.

    Now, the timer was a problem because it was too long for an anti-tunnel timer. Survivors including myself would use the extended timer and perform risky plays when it's supposed to prevent tunneling. My changes makes the timer serve one purpose, namely, to protect the survivor while they are being tunneled.

  • Because for me personally it's been twice out of the 25 some odd hours I've been playing killer the past 2 weeks.

    0

  • I love the change as the previous DS was non-existent with Enduring and it further encourages killers to not tunnel. However, I do agree with @Blueberry, 60 seconds is enough time that survivors can abuse its main intention. I've done it many times before and it's disgusting, I would get saved by someone else and run to the exit gate injured. What's the killer going to do about it? Either he picks me up or I crawl out and escape.

    I'll like to see the timer get nerfed to 15 seconds across all tiers BUT can be used more than once. Whenever you're downed while the timer is in effect, the perk is activated until you're healed back to the injured state.

  • @xStansfield said:

    If all your changes are applied, they're going to make perks like Insidious completely broken; a Huntress could stay still in front of a hooked survivor and absolutely destroy anyone trying to approach them with a hatchet and make unhooking impossible; making camping even more of an issue; also, perks who make your terror radius smaller like Monitor and Abuse would make it really easy to get instant downs without much distance between you and them and would and make her overpowered.

    The idea of making her hatchets an instant down from a certain set distance unnaffected by perks could be an interesting one though and would implement a whole new dynamic to the game, that'd be something to test out. I also agree that the range of her lullaby should be directional but be the same as her terror radius.

    @xStansfield

    Any killer can can camp with insidious, not just the Huntress but I see your concern. Since she has no terror radius, hatchets will instantly down survivors but there's down sides. You have to stay still for a certain amount of time and you have to repeat that process everytime you throw your hatchets. Lastly, survivors who rush the hook against any killer are bound to get destroyed anyways, it's just that an insidious Huntress is just more scary.

    Finally the terror radius, she has to sacrifice a perk slot for it and 24 meters (M&A) is still a far shot for an instant down. I added the instant down because I know that if a Huntress makes a sick long shot, the survivors won't mind her getting rewarded more.

    Thank you for your feedback but if you still feel like these might be OP, how would you make it balanced?

  • Fite me

    Honestly, a few things could be tweaked to solve generators. Regression shouldn't be stopped just because a survivor poked the generator, it should warrant the survivor 3 seconds of repairs in order to stop the regression. Also, damaging generators should cause an instant 5% regression so if some survivors try keep going after the same generator, you'll be able to protect it more. Currently, you cannot do that because regression isn't enough to cancel out the survivors' repairs and you can't just camp the generator either because you have to pressure all generators.

    After these changes, no more direct changes to generators until we get a new objective or preferably, a rework!

  • @Ember_Hunter said:

  • I feel like survivors and killers should get some sort of compensation whenever someone DCs. Like maybe the killer gets his BBQ stack and the survivors get a 50% action boost or a generator automatically completes itself.

    I know some of my suggestions are just bad ideas but at least gives us some compensation or else what's the point in fighting a losing battle? What's the point in playing a game that you already know that you're going to win?

    @I_am_Negan

    Some Killers can't bare the thought of a 3K game, unfortunately.

    There is a way to win a hatch standoff as the killer, but you need the following conditions to occur to have that chance to win it.

    !Survivor must be either injured or exposed!

    Once this condition is met, walk behind the survivor and smack them when they are on the EDGE of the hatch. When they enter dying state from a attack from behind, they will be thrown forward and possibly out of range from the hatch. If not, they still have to wait until the falling animation expires to jump in, trust me a killer has done it to me before and it was amazing!

  • @Judgement said:

    On the same page as Legion moonwalk and PWYF moonwalk, this could be abused to get close to a Survivor without losing the speed boost.

    That being said, I think the devs need to rework chase conditions before this becomes a thing, but it’s definitely a solid idea. I fully support this as a change, but before it can become a thing, chase conditions need to be changed to prevent abuse.

    Wow, couldn't have said it any better!

    Everyone says that until moderators actually show they have a sense of humor. Then most people get pissy. Even if you don't, you're outnumbered, believe me.

    Yeah, your right. It's why we can't have fun things on the forums! 😭

    As someone who's been a mod on many websites before, trust me, you don't get to have a sense of humor. People will lose their ######### and call it "unprofessional", if not outright abuse of power.

    I don't mind moderators having a sense of humor, as long as they make it obvious to me and everyone else that they are.

    About the ban joke, I would be fine with that as long as they made it obvious that it's just a April fool's prank. It would be a good prank to pull of, especially since I cannot make anymore mistakes or else I'll get a 1 month ban.

  • I know who the enxt kiler is and it's going to be annouced Soon™. It's and she says "Let Me Love You" when she hits you.

    Contrary to popular opinion we do have a sense of humour, as anyone who has known me for any length of time can testify to :)

    As long as the threads don't get out of hand, I've got no issue with it - once people start insulting others under the guise of April Fools, then I'll shut it down.

    I 100% love your tweaks the same thing happened to me I got someone fully infected and they looped me for 2 mins and 2 gens got done at the same time then I raged quit I really agree they should make it so that when your fully sick you have broken and your action speed for repair,healing,sabotage,opening gates and cleansing is reduced by 25% and their aura is revealed when they vomit does this sound great I really want this added to her

    Honestly, I don't think an aura would be necessary because the action penalty makes you try to spread the Plague around and encourages survivors cleanse just before they break. Therefore, if you see a rank 1 looper champion, just vomit and walk away. If he does generators, he'll eventually get sick and will have to cleanse themselves. Same thing with other survivors who are good at looping and before y'all say 50% or 25% is OP. Freddy's power does the exact same thing but it's INSTANT debuff after 7 seconds.

  • Other than Nurse, every killer should have their movement speed upped by 5% at base (Nurse doesn't need buffs, she's fine at base).

    Really the only thing killers need is more time such a an entire rework of the survivor objective system. It should be able to be completed by any number of survivors but should be hard to rush in the case of sweaty SWF.

  • So, it looks like I was right after all about her. Just like last time, albeit not as bad as Legion, she's just a mid-tier killer.

  • is there any out there? I haven’t seen any

    1.) Nurse

    2.) Spirit

    3.) Billy

    So you're suggesting they remove the ability to leave lobbies once they are filled, since that is what is getting abused, ya?

  • @NoShinyPony said:

    The goal of DbD is not to lose a killer in a chase or to not get found, the goal is to survive. How players achieve this goal should be up to them (as long as they work, and don't hide in a corner of the map).

    The tunneling thing is one reason why I am not a fan of the Emblem system. What I'd prefer was to make pipping bloodpoint-related again. And for that, to remove the 8k bp cap per category. That way, somebody who gets tunneled the entire game could get like 20k or more bloodpoints just in Boldness + Survival and still pip because of the high amount of bp.

    On console, xbox specifically, record the violation and then wait for it to appear on:

    Did you click on the wrong thread?

    Don't worry, it has happened to me before.

  • @NoShinyPony said:

    @Nickenzie It's not the point whether it is a slight buff or a big buff. The game is not balanced and it wouldn't be fair to give killers more disadvantages at the moment.

    If you have creative ideas for DbD, why not change your focus and take a look at what could help killers? Just a suggestion, of course. ☺️

    @NoShinyPony

    Ideally, this change could be made AFTER killers are fairly balanced, ya know?

  • @NoShinyPony said:

    @Nickenzie Then I'd consider it a general survivor buff. I don't think that is something we need in the current situation of the game's balance.

    @NoShinyPony

    I don't think this would be that overwhelming imho.

  • @NoShinyPony said:

    @Nickenzie What means "regardless of how easy it can be countered"? Is it a mechanic that can be easily countered or is it a mechanic that can cause killers to lose survivors?

    @NoShinyPony

    It's a mechanic that can be easily countered in most situations but in rare ones, it can make the killer have slight difficulties (which can buy you enough time to wiggle free).

  • @NoShinyPony said:

    @Nickenzie So what is your suggestion? A mechanic that can be easily countered and isn't relevant or a mechanic that can cause killers to get stuck and lose the survivor?

    That is the deciding factor for this discussion.

    @NoShinyPony

    A mechanic that gives the survivor more freedom, regardless of how easy it can be countered.

  • @Unnamed_Freak said:

    I don't know why you even bothered buffing Iron Grasp, the perk would still be useless and no one would pick it.

    @Unnamed_Freak

    I didn't directly buff Iron Grasp, it received an indirect buff. Allow me to explain the difference between buffs and indirect buffs.

    Direct Buff: Example

    Changing NC ranges to 24/28/32

    Changing Distressing values to 20%/25%/30%

    Indirect Buff:

    Increasing the frequency of bleeding from injured survivors (which indirectly buffs No Mither)

  • @NoShinyPony said:

    @Nickenzie Currently, it's fine, therefore killers aren't complaining.

    If you think your suggested change could be easily countered by the killer, why are you making such a suggestion in the first place? I mean, why introduce something that is not relevant for gameplay?

    @NoShinyPony

    Well, it depends on the situation whenever you're picked up. If there's a lot of obstacles, you could look in that direction and possibly cause the killer to get stuck. Regardless, what's the worst that can happen with this change?

  • @NoShinyPony said:

    Killer's kick immediately decreasing the gen's progression by 5% would be fine. But that should be the only change. The regress speed itself is fine imho.

    @NoShinyPony

    Honestly, 5% instant regression doesn't sound bad and yes, I agree that regression should stay as is. Another change could be where a survivor has to work on a regressing generator for 1 to 3 seconds to stop its regression. After these changes, no more direct nerfs to generators since an entire rework will do more justice.

  • @NoShinyPony said:

    Well, you wrote it yourself: "I know this sounds bad on paper and you killers already deal with enough problems"

    If you know this, why do you want to introduce a general survivor buff? It's the killers who are in need of buffs.

    As a game mechanic for itself it might be ok, but please keep in mind that for 1 surv buff you have to introduce 1 killer buff as well, otherwise this game would become even more unbalanced.

    @NoShinyPony

    Well here's the thing, I have yet to see a killer complain about the survivors' struggle effects being OP, and I rarely lose a survivor due to struggle effects, even with them having Boil Over. Therefore, I don't see the harm of adding control that its effects is already cancelled out by killers using WASD, ya know?

  • @Milo said:

    *Clap* i would have to see this in game *Clap*

    @Milo

    This wouldn't be too much and besides, killers can just use WASD to counter it.
