As the title says, any comic book characters you'd love to see as survivors or killers? Also what would their powers, perks, and add ons be?
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/IX6843CR2LVX/scarecrow-new-52.jpg
The Scarecrow is a personal favorite of mine, but realistically they'd probably use The Joker lol
Penguin from Gotham, great show btw.
-
Honestly, blighted crow can be S tier if you can use it well, that speed boost is insane.

Ah right sorry, didn't see the irony right away. And true double engravings are for the best Billy players now but they're not playing Billy anymore. Not even battleguy plays Billy anymore he's been playing Nurse. But I could be wrong, he might still be playing Billy rarely every now and then, haven't checked into his stream in a while. His sens on nurse without shadowborn hurts my eyes lmao
He still plays Billy sometimes, just not as much.
Mostly nurse and survivor.

@Androuruguayo99 said:
who?
Billy.

It's even more painful when you're a shadowborn gamer.
-
Let me throw an idea out there, hear me out people.
What if tier 3 Myers was able to walk through and break pallets with no cooldown? It would fit the description of his power, and he would actually have something amazing in his kit.
So resources don't drain too fast, the pallets broken in tier 3 can respawn when tier 3 is done.
-
I'd like him to get a complete power rework, or a significant rework like doctor, because Oni outclasses him.

I don't even think Nurse is all that hard. I had a more difficult time learning proper Lethal Rush and Punishment of the Damned hits than blink attacks.
People don't play her now because between the awful fatigue vision, the cooldown on top of a cooldown, and the bugs, she just isn't fun. But unfun =/= bad. She's still the #1 best Killer, and I think you'd be crazy to deny that. They made her less fun to play without actually giving her a proper nerf. Unsurprising.
Same, I think lethal rush and blighted corruption is more difficult than blinks.

He...didn't attack the killer playerbase whatsoever, and as for the console part: it rings true, tbh. Unless it's a toxic 4 man or the odd actual good console killer, almost every time I've had console players in my game, they've been a big hinderance to the role they're playing.
It isn't true, people don't seem to realise with console players that it's the player, not the platform.
In a casual game of dbd, PC gives barely any advantages.

No, keys do not give you a 7% speed boost for 120 seconds when all 5 gens are done.

Doc is only easy to play if you're playing against actual potatoes. I don't remember the last time I died to a Doctor.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1680470#Comment_1680470
Go tell Archdruid Drey he takes no skill to play.
Would you mind telling me how he isn't easy to play?
-
@DrFeelgood said:
I don't know why they continue to think it's a good idea to bring this nonsense back. The game is nowhere near stable or balanced enough to warrant a penalty.
Like, honestly. If there must be a DC penalty, it should never surpass 15 minutes.
Your game is not nearly in good enough shape to warrant a penalty that can go up to hours. I get it. I play killer. Nearly constantly. People DC like it's a race and cuck me of hooks/points/bbq stacks. I totally understand that, and it sucks....but the penalty should never exceed 15 minutes. Ever. DBD has a decent game for the most part, but you're pretty full of yourselves if you think it's so good that you can say "oh you DC'd? Your game crashed? Your internet went out? One of our dedicated servers straight up lost connection with you (which is more common than you think)? You need to be punished for up to x amount of hours!"
Rocket League - a far more stable, far more balanced, and far more competitive game with less bugs, has a perfect DC penalty system, and you should take their idea and implement it here. If someone DC's, everyone else is now free to DC with no penalty. The first person is banned for 15 minutes. It never goes beyond 15 minutes - and it's done a pretty good job of curbing DC's in Rocket League ranked play.
DC penalties - you're doing it wrong. You're taking a "now you're forced to play our game" approach when you should be taking a "well, this is really unfair for everyone else" approach.
Yeah, the game is stable and balanced enough to warrant a penalty.
You are never forced to play a game, if you don't want to play, just don't queue up.
On the topic of game crashing, this barely ever happens, and by the time you're back in game, the penalty is already over. But if you're in so much ######### that you have 15 minutes or over on your penalty, then I think you might just hate the game.
The penalty should exceed 15 minutes, and if you mass DC, you should be forced to play with other mass disconnecters for a day or two, so you have longer queue times, and learn from your mistakes as Orion said.
Disconnecting ruins the trial for the other 4 players, and you shouldn't be able to do it unpunished.
-
No, you aren't. I find him to be absolute bullshit and easy to play.
You have no game sense so you walk around with your magic circle to find someone, and when you're in the chase, you deny windows and pallets, because he can spam the shock.
I don't think he's unbalanced or OP, just annoying. Also, whenever I actually lose him in a chase he just uses static blast to find me again, and his chase music is sooo annoying.
-
@Sluzzy said:
I always tell daddy myers thank you regardless how it ends. :)
Wait, you like playing against Myers?
-
@Orion said:
What's that?
A hag with a scrollwheel.
-
How would you change slinger, azame?
-
@lowiq said:
Because statistically speaking nurse doesnt have a high win rate due to difficulty. So against the average nurse you are more likely to win against than slinger / spirit.
Also Nurse is much more interactive than slinger and Spirit. As a survivor you can see and hear nurse charge up, you can tell how long she has charged up for and react accordingly. Whereas Slinger and Spirit you have no feedback.
Exactly why I like playing against good nurses more than slingers and spirits, at least I get feedback and can react to her.
@[Deleted User] said:
For me, I think there needs to be a killer at her power level in the game. Yeah, a god tier Nurse is insanely difficult to beat for most players. You can make her take a bit longer to down you, but she will down you. However, to beat 4 god tier survivors, you need to be a god tier Nurse or Spirit. She's the counterbalance for the top percentile of survivors. Otherwise nothing would ever beat them. Freddy definitely isn't doing it because camping pallets is viable in a 4-5 minute game, so snares aren't doing much. Same for Billy. Conceivably Hag, but the stars really have to align. There's not much after that.
Fair analysis, I guess a god nurse is the same as those extremely rare tournament squads, because you don't see a god nurse or tourney squad every game.

no, you were just bad at playing him. lol he was one of the easiest killers to get insta downs with and consistent 4K's. all you had to do was get right up on a survior with your chainsaw pre-charging and let it rip and bam. now you can be a mile away charging up your chainsaw and still get the survivor. it's so dumb. lmao these devs cater to bad players in the community way too much. plus, every single bubba still just camps hooks. it's a mess.
Exactly, he was an inferior Billy.

@Heartbound said:
Nurse is a shell of her former self. She used to have three blinks as default and just got absurd with add ons, plus she's buggy. On the swamp maps you can't even blink onto the piers right now and on more than one occasion I've blinked into the basement while chasing someone. She needs help.
Spirit didn't have collision when phasing and iirc Deathslinger hasn't been changed. As more people play them, people will get better at dealing with those two killers.
In days of old you used to only see Nurse and Hillbilly at high ranks and maybe the occasional Trapper. Nowadays you don't see Nurse, so people just forget she exists.
Oh yeah, I remember when she had 3 blinks and a normal lunge when she blinked.
The bugs are so annoying and kept me from learning her further, because second blinks don't work. I hate it when I accidentally blink into the basemenrt while chasing someone as well, it's so ######### annoying.
-
@bubbabrotha said:
She is very slow. When her power is on CD, she is at a weak point. She is very powerful, bordering on op, but imo she is in a good spot.
Thanks for being civil about it, I didn't want nurse to get a CD, I just wanted some changes to her actual problems, like long blinks.
I agree that she is bordering on OP, but I don't think she needs a nerf, because of the changes the devs made to her.

I play killer but can only play s ok much I prefer survivor. So I'm just quitting. It's too bad for me right now. Thanks though i appreciate it.
Good luck azame san, we will greet you when you are back, the entity always finds its victims again.
-
Try killer for a little bit, you're probably bored of survivor right now.
Also, if you want to learn some stuff, try playing blight, he's a ton of fun.
Regardless, hope this break does you well man :D
-
It's so terribly designed and so survivor sided.
- Multiple strong tiles to chain together.
- Safe pallets and windows in the main building.
- Easy to spot totems.
- It's extremely hard to track scratchmarks.
- The map is also very large.
- Survivors can easily see stealth killers.

"The annoying and kind of unfair thing about dead hard is that you can erase great plays by the killer that weren't easy to do by a simple push of a button."
This can literally be said about every exhaust perk. You don't have a pallet but you have a window? You can get away with Lithe. Don't have either but your SB is 99'd? You can go to an area that does.
You can deny that it isn't about extending a chase, but that is exactly what it is about. If you are competent enough you can bait DH out.
Oh and about a killer being able to hit you anyway... you mean kind of how you can't dodge an Oni hit?
Exactly why exhaustion needs a downside, like heavier breathing.

You can't sit on Trappers shoulders, or you get impaled by his hooks.

It's the escape from the entity realm, the entity watches the trial from up there, however you're never going to escape from the realm, because you can't reach.

Edit: For Survivor, it's just experience. Play the tutorial, get the basics down. Die a lot, learn the maps as you go and find that you're not dying as much. Get bloodpoints, get better perks. (I recommend Bond from Dwight, Quick and Quiet from Meg, Self Care from Claudette, and Iron Will from Jake to start)
Is That your YT?
-
Also, welcome to our community :)
-
The dbd community almost has its own language by now, lmfao.
Crack Billy, bbq and Billy, Bubbas basement, scratched mirror Myers, vault master Myers.
BBQ means the perk barbecue and chili, which is a perk that gives you tons of bloodpoints and allows you to see survivors outside of a certain radius for a few seconds.
Farming is basically unhooking a survivor right in front of the killer, only for them to be downed instantly.
Tunneling is a hard one. Basically, it's trying to get one person out of the game as fast as possible.
-
I'd like this more if the timer was 120 seconds, 80 seconds is a bit too little, and I can see survivors abusing that and not picking up downed team mates.
Of course, if this change was made, a secondary objective is necessary.
Great idea though.

Sick filibuster, bro.
2,075 posts on this forum really hasn't taught you a thing or two about intelligent discourse?
That entire response was an embarassing embellishment of reality, and I feel disappointingly unfulfilled for having read any of it. I don't know who you're trying to preach to, but i'm not your target audience. Hang up the keyboard warrior medal and give this forum a break, because you're embarassing yourself.
Crouch-Walking = Hag Counter Play
Crouch-Walking = Boring
Therefore,
Hag Counter Play = Boring
Game = Boring
Boring Game = Bad Game
I could care less about whatever Survivor vs. Killer Main fued you subscribe to. I'm interested in the long-term health of this game, and fixing Hag is essential to that. She is unbearable in her current state.
Crouch walking isn't fun for you!
Fun is subjective, and while I agree with you that hag needs adjustments, fun is very subjective my friend.

It was never meant to be an anti-tunnel perk.
It was, we've been told by like 5 different devs like McLean that it was meant for anti-tunnel.
If it was anti-tunnel, it wouldn't activate if you were recently unhooked.
Old DS was anti momentum, not the new one.
Also, even if it was anti momentum, a perk shouldn't just throw your pressure out the window for no reason, remember old DS and MoM?

Not most you still had iron works, wretched shop, rancid abattoir, groaning store house. Honestly I think the majority of infinites was there. Asylum definetly was. Coal tower, suffocation pit. Music nerd I can almost guarentee almost all infinites were still in the game.
I remember the asylum, rancid abbatoir and wretched shop infinites.
The rest just had god windows, not infinites, since the windows could still be blocked by the entity.
If you are referring to the god double windows on top of Ironworks, that was removed way before curtain call.

No that's not my complaint dont put words in my mouth. Actually it was meant to bandaid fix infinites :)
It wasn't mean to bandaid fix infinites, bloodlust was.
Also, by the time clown was out, most infinites were gone.

Here's the thing about deathslingers quickscope, it isn't that bad, for me at least, I kinda find him fun to play against.
Just because he shot you, doesn't mean he is going to hit you, the survivor still has the opportunity to break the chain, the devs implemented that feature for countering him.
However, I see why other people hate him, and how uninteractive he can be.
You can't just say "haha remove quickscppe and make him 115% movement speed", that would make him even more weak than he already is.
If you were to remove his quickscope, he would also need an ability to pressure the map, like a horse or something.
-
1: A good deathslinger outfit.
2: Elf blight.
3: Krampus as a killer.

hey how about bringing something to counter it like detectives hunch or distortion a perk that literally shows you at least half if not all totem locations from one gen or a perk that will prevent your aura from being read.
you can also just learn the totem spawns. honestly the second killers get something good and not broken just good survivors complain. the meta hasn't shifted since clown released with pop and the only thing that survivors have changed with their meta is inner strength/head on and build to run it
Again, matches don't have a pre determined outcome, so sacrificing a perk slot for something the killer MIGHT have isn't a reasonable counter.
Let's say hypothetically that I hate tunneling, doctor, slugging, totems, trapper, spirit and ghostface.
I have to bring DS, unbreakable, calm spirit, detectives hunch, small game, slippery meat, iron will and spine chill, oh wait! Survivors only have 4 perk slots.
