Small Game exists
heaven forbid you have to change one of the 4 perks you've been running for 2 years
Matches don't have a pre determined outcome, so having to give up a perk slot isn't a reasonable counter.

If a restaurant had that attitude then their business would certainly falter.
Exactly, if you've been to a restaurant once and hated the food, why would you go back there?

When you have four years of continuous nerfing to one side and continuing buffing to the other side, you are going to have some feeling disgusted on one side. Survivors used to never DC or kill themselves, but it has escalated within the past year and thats a warning sign to BHVR.
Then don't play the game if you are going to DC

1. It's your fault for playing deathslinger. He's too strong and unfun.
2. It's your fault for playing Freddy. He's too strong and unfun.
3,4. It's your fault for playing nurse. She's too strong and unfun.
You should have played no addon no perk clown. Oh, and they'll still DC.
What if I played burger King Myers, will they have fun?
-
I'm all ears is a great perk if you're really good at mindgaming with the saw and hiding the red light, but otherwise it isn't really good on him.

When did killers ever "like" looping?
If you are a killer main that doesn't play an anti-loop killer and you enjoy the game, you enjoy looping, it's the main defense survivors have and is absolutely essential to core gameplay.
-
@Orion said:
Why would killers chase a survivor through a loop when they (killers) are in a bad position if they can just go for another survivor?
Because those other survivors might go to a loop.

I’d make it so his gun will explode generators when he shoots them. This would allow him to instantly kick generators that take a while to patrol like the generator on Dead Dawg Saloon that’s upstairs of the saloon.
Allowing him to use his gun as a grappling hook would just look ridiculous tbh.
Lol, imagine an old, limping man grapple around the map.

Not true. Not true at all.
It is true, if you're not running spirit or nurse at a high level game, you simply have to slug.
At least tell me why I'm wrong instead of saying "not true".

I have the opposite approach. Using Detective’s Hunch to get the totems taken out relatively early. No reason to be afraid Hexes when you know where all the totems are. Right?
Yeah, I switch between using soul guard and DT/IS, both are very fun builds, one gives me free pickups, the other gives me free points and free heals.

It seems like most Killers don’t like good old fashioned looping anymore. They’ll leave you at the drop of a hat if you’re playing good and camp you like crazy if they can tell you’re playing bad.
Killers with anti-loop spam that stuff so hard it’s like they’re allergic to looping normally. Huntress, Doctor, Pyramid, Freddy and Billy players will go around and around for ages trying to use their power, when they could’ve just looped the standard way, ate the pallet and moved on. It’s actually crazy.
Are most Killers unconfident and rusty with their traditional looping now or what?
I like looping as killer, it's a ton of fun to outplay my opponent, where I have my issue is the loops with 100% visibility of the killer with no mindgame potential, like on blood lodge.
I love jungle gyms loops, as both sides have equal opportunities to outplay each other.
-
Uno reverse card.
Comeon, you are Bjork and nas, two great lyricists, I expect an amazing comeback.
-
You aren't the only one who thinks this, the forums have been flooded by threads like this.
Deathslinger is a weak killer that is badly designed, so he doesn't need a nerf, he needs a change to his ads speed to be 1 second along with a map pressure ability.
-
Thanks for not being one of those annoying, negative threads that says "HAHA CONSOLE PLAYER BAD".
I really appreciate peeps like you 😇
We need more positive people like you here in the community.

Surveillance on its own isn't better than BBQ and TT, but if you combine it with surge, holy #########, it's amazing. You get so much information, it's insane, same with surveillance and ruin.
Not to mention, it allows you to hear gen sounds from a further distance, which is an underrated nuance the perk has.

Curious about "any female survivor." Jeff is loud af o-o
If you hit Jane she sounds like she is moaning in sexual pleasure.
My friend used to have to turn his game volume down when playing against Jane, because he didn't want his parents to think he was watching porn.

Survivor: Spine Chill. Can't do anything without it (I play killer 90 percent... So I suck at chases as survivor).
Killer: none that I have to have because they're all build based for me but I love MAD GRIT! I love hitting body blockers and getting extra time to carry too😆
Try battle pig with the drill or use mad grit on demogorgon.

Honestly, bamboozle is a badly designed perk, but it doesn't ever need a nerf, it's way too weak to justify a nerf.
Also, Thompsons house is still a ridiculously survivor sided map with the amount of jungle gym and long wall tiles you can chain together, if you get the right rng.

Yes it does. It's a way to taught your opponent. Its hoe you get their attention or even force them to make mistakes. It's a psychological thing. Tbagging isnmore than just "toxic." I can tbag someone in gears of war to force them to push me when I have teammates ready to cross. This community misuses the word toxic. I do agree its BM tho.
Then How do you justify t bagging at the exit gates? You want the killer to see you leave the game?

Quote: "DS should deactivate when you hook another player."
So you're saying DS should be useless?
Huntress, Bubba, Billy, Myers, Ghostface, Pyramid Head, Plague with blood vomit, killers with maxed out STBFL (looking at you Demogorgon) etc.
All of them can effectively down/slug the unhooker quickly/instantly, tunnel you off the hook and deactivate your DS by hooking the slugged unhooker before you.
Sounds more like a camping problem and not a DS problem.

I would love to see the obsession be able to use DS whenever they want to use it. It would make the obsession have a little more importance with the halloween DLC.
Do you know what that would do to the games balance?

Most likely, from what i have seen he is very very survivor sided when it comes to posts
I know sluzzy as well around here, but this is what baffles me.
He thinks that Billy and nurse didn't need any changes to perks or add ons, but thinks huntress needs to be nerfed into the ground. He also thinks all aura perks need a nerf.
-
This idea is yes.
-
@Sluzzy said:
It is a little weak for what it is. Killers should be thankful it is not a pre-hook strike. To be truly decisive, the survivor should decide when it is used. It is weaker than killer perks. It is very situational and helps against tunneling killers.
Are you advocating for old DS to come back?
-
No it didn't
-
No mither is the best way to get the killer to chase you, trust me. Combine with OoO for even better results.
-
That didn't happen.

I'm gonna say Blight is the hardest killer to learn and has the highest skill ceiling, even higher than Nurse. Once you know how to play Nurse, there's very little you have to learn on top of that, the counterplay to survivors is very basic, and you kinda just go into any map as Nurse and win/do fine with her because all your power is is "noclip through things and hit people". With Blight you need full knowledge of maps, full knowledge of how to use your power in every specific tile and part of the map, the best ways to traverse a map, what chases you should be committing to, flicking your mouse around as fast as you can whilst still being accurate with your rush to minimize the amount of time you spend standing still after a slam, and still knowing how to properly chase survivors without a power which Nurse doesn't have to worry about.
So that's my paragraph. Nurse's difficulty is so ridiculously over-rated.
Basically this.
Blight is both the hardest killer in the game, and also has the highest skill cap, there is always something new to learn with him.
Also, if anyone ever masters him, there's tons to do with his power.
Nurse isn't that hard, also once you learn her, there isn't much you can do with her power, because of how basic it is, and since she's busted when you master her, you're going to win every game.

You know that the globe icon also means Windows Store users too, right? I'm also an Xbox player, and I've seen more disconnects from globe icons than I have on Xbox in general.
We've also been trying to end the stupid PC vs. Console wars on here because, surprise surprise, it was proven that PC players aren't as high and mighty as a lot of them made themselves seem!

I'm guessing you use empathy to have an earlier warning of where you need to be? Might throw on a healing perk as well and give it a go
If I see someone on empathy, I go for them and bodyblock to get a MoM stack.

Weaker perks are more fun these days, because a lot of killers expect the strong stuff. Lightweight + corn + pebble = lul
Empathy, breakout and MoM are hilarious when they work.

Expecting huntress to get a cooldown, and Myers to get a full rework next year.

@WalkedMoss92 said:
Like seriously?? Why would would do that? How would you feel if all of your other teammates let you die on your first hook, especially if you were doing really good that match? It feels terrible.
It's even worse if they let you get to your second phase on hook or death hook and NO ONE is working on gens during that time.
Don't convince yourself that you're good at the game if you had let your other teammates die so early off in the game like that.
Preach Brother.
I was using kindred today, and my team was still being dumb, 2 of them were knocking out gens and the other was a Claudette self caring.

Do you really think four months are a good enough window? That's 8 patches, not including the PTB. DbD's had 18 so far this year, not including PTBs.
I'm not sure, I will let you decide when it comes to that orion, I have to do more research to see how far back we have to go 😅

So how far back do you think we should go? The Enduring change was last year, just FYI.
I don't know how far back we should go, but I know the plague chapter was over a year ago at this point, maybe we should go as far back as the silent Hill chapter, or the descend beyond chapter, since those were more recent and up to date.

Sure it does. This thread is about the devs having a bias towards survivors and who better to ask than those who have been with the game since its release? 😂 This isn't rocket science.
Also, I'd like you to define what a noob is, since me and azame have been playing since the game released on console, which is over 2 years.

This thread is about the devs listening to mostly survivors, not listened, they are talking about the present, not the past, so you being a vet doesn't matter at all, nor does it give you the moral high ground.

It's not a matter of opinion, I was literally just stating DbD history (y'know, objective facts) and had one person constantly doubt me despite others saying I was right and even offer up evidence and another say I should "learn" DbD history from someone who wasn't even there to begin with.
I wasn't talking about you, what you stated is a fact, however I really dislike how some people act on these forums with their vet card, like that guy I replied to.

I'm not saying learn from someone who wasnt what I am saying is that hes making a valid point. 5 seconds staying on the DS stun isnt favoritism its nust balance the duration cut the stun too short and the survivors had no way to get distance.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1675145#Comment_1675145
You dont have to bend over back for "new bloods." Your 2016 status means nothing atleast to me. All you vets did was play the video game a couple years earlier 1 year earlier than me. The most I can respect you for is keeping the game alive ling enough for me to pick it up on console.
I really dislike it when people pull the vet card and use that to back up their opinion, I think orion is alright, because he always remains constructive.
Dbd is not a very difficult game to understand, and being a vet doesn't ever make your opinion more valid than anyone else's.

Sucks that us vets have to bend over backwards to get these new bloods to believe us, eh?
Being a vet doesn't make your opinion any more valid, this game isn't very hard, and only takes a few hundred hours to understand, I've been here since 2018, which is around the time this game released on console, and it isn't hard at all.
