If you look up high enough on some maps, you will see the sky cube. It appears to be in the sky, but if you break LoS with it, it'll appear in front of the LoS breaker. Is this the Entity? Can I worship it?
DBD is Unreal. So i assume it is an engine thing for lightening. I dunno why but in some Unreal games you can find these objects of where the light is placed. Usually in the exact middle of a map. But normally you need a free control camera or something to get high enough so this will be rendered. I can be wrong though, they usually look more like UFO's as like boxes.
It's the escape from the entity realm, the entity watches the trial from up there, however you're never going to escape from the realm, because you can't reach.

This is Trappers plan all along. Hes actually quite the bastard. He pretended to fight with the Entity so he'd get those nifty jagged spikes/shards coming out of him for just this plan.
"Hey guys. I fought back so Y'all should let me escape first...besides...look at all these hurtful objects sticking out of me. I wouldnt want anyone to get hurt...😞"
Everyone: Yes! This is a good plan. We love you Trapper
All day it takes The Trapper to climb this human/creature centipede stalk of insanity to finally reach the great spot in the sky...
He climbs through and lookes back at hopeful Dwight reaching out to him...
Dwight: 😄
Trapper: ☺️
Dwight: 😥
Trapper: 😁
Dwight: 😨
Then POW!!! Trapper realses his mighty roundhouse kick and down down down...they all fall.

In all seriousness, its probably a skybox for animations to take place. The map you play on is a projection of the sky box, and anything that happens there happens on the map. Even player models, so if you go on a skybox, a giant character will be projected on to the map.

....I want to see that now. Halloween update: Kaiju mode!
The cube is @mcote's home. He's watching us always. Stroking his hairless face and mumbling "ahhh yes...pretty good job, padawans. Pretty good job indeed."

I'm scared.....😧
from a doylist perspective this might be a doodad for either the entity's animation spawn point or something like that.
We're not supposed to talk about it....
The Observer is watching you through it with a glass of whiskey.
You know too much.
Shun the nonbeliever!!! Sshhuunnnn
Who's the nonbeliever?! I'd love to believe in the sky cube! I've seen it firsthand!
Everyday it gets a little closer

Maybe if everyone sat on each other's shoulders
Hellraiser confirmed?
You can't sit on Trappers shoulders, or you get impaled by his hooks.
The answer is hidden in the goldten toolbox
idk im sure some gay men would love to sit on his shoulders
or some other part of him
We don't speak of the cube, lest we incur the wrath of the 6 faced God
Guilty!
If you don't automagically worship at the altar of the sky cube without even knowing its there, are you REALLY a believer? 😳😁
can confirm id also love to sit on trapper.
every part.
it's the 6 sided dice the entity uses for RNG
Praise the cube, PRAISE !
What is that thing in the sky?!
Is it a bird? Is it a plane?
No, its entityman!
GUYS we never prepared for an outsider to find it!
what we gonna do now? *panic*
