  • Miner. Dynamit as power and a cave/mineshafts map

  • Is this the..... OLDEN BLURRRRRRRRRR

  • The only Killer where I would use Overcharge with Surveillance would be Doctor, and even on him it's kinda wasted.

Try using this on Pig, it's still your decision how you play. But I find that build pretty good.

    • Ruin: For obvios reasons
    • Monitor and Abuse: It's pretty good, your TR goes down to 24 metres so you don't waste that much time crouching. You can walk normal and when thinking that on that and that gen someones at you start crouching
    • Whispers: To help you get information when to start crouching
    • Nurses Calling: You see people easier because of Monitor, start crouching right after you saw their Auras and sneak up on them to get a hit/down)

If you know when to use the crouch and when you practiced the ranges of your Terror Radius fade I'd switch Whispers with Make your Choice

  • At the moment I use

    Ruin: Gen slowdown

Thanatophobia: Someone mentioned it, Survivors sometimes don't cleanse, but if they cleanse always it's a wasted perk. Otherwise it's pretty good.

Monitor and Abuse: Just to sneak up easier on them so they have less time to react

Discordance: To get information which gen is being worked on

  • Well I am not a Myers Main but if only licensed Killers would exist in this game then probably.

Watched Halloween (1978), Halloween 2, Halloween 4, Halloween 5, Halloween H20, Halloween Resurrection and Halloween (2018)

  • A few ideas from me. I have alot more.

    MONSTROUS SHRINE:

    • Survivors inside the basement or who enter the basement while the Killer is at least 48 metres away will suffer from the Exposed Effect for 60 seconds
    • Every Survivor who is inside the basement while you are also in the basement will scream and reveal their location
    • Reduces chances of hook escape to 0 % regardless of luck perks and offerings on basement hooks
    • Reduces the timer of every hook state to 55/50/45 seconds on basement hooks

    UNRELENTING:

    • Your lunge speed is increased by 25/30/35 %

    SHADOWBORN:

    • Press the second ability button to activate Shadowborn
    • When Shadowborn is active, you receive following benefits:
    • Movement speed is increased by 30 %
    • Increases your field of view by 15 %
    • You can not attack while the Perk is active
    • Press the second ability button again to deactivate the Perk
    • Deactivating the Perk will stun you for 2.5 seconds

    OVERWHELMING PRESENCE:

    • Your overwhelming presence causes Survivors which are inside your Terror Radius to face random Skill checks
    • Survivors within your Terror Radius have a 60/70/80 % chance to get random skill checks
    • This effect persists for 8 seconds after the Terror Radius disappeared

    PLAY WITH YOUR FOOD:

    • You become obsessed with one Survivor
    • Letting the Obsession escape will give you a Token up to a maximum of 3 Tokens
    • Every Token increases your movement by 3/4/5 %
    • Every second successful hit from your basic weapon will consume one Token
    • Only one Obsession per match

    IRON MAIDEN:

    • You open lockers 40/45/50 % faster
    • When a Survivor exits a locker, your movement speed is increased by 5 % until you hit someone
    • Reveals the location of the Survivor who exits a locker for 3 seconds

    OVERCHARGE:

    • Perform the "damage generator" action to overcharge a generator
    • The next Survivor interacting with that generator will be faced with an termendously difficult skill check
    • Failing the skill check will regress the generator by an extra 6/6.5/7 % and will reveal every Survivors location 16 metres of that generator for 3 seconds
    • Succeeding the skill check does not grant any bonus progress

That's a few ideas for potential changes. Opinions are highly welcome if they are constructive.

  • I don't know why many people are so obsessed with new Survivors. Survivors are literally just skins and nothing more. Solo Survivor dlc's are the most boring sh** in this game

  • At the moment I use:

    • Hex: Ruin (gen slowdown)
    • Hex: Haunted Ground (making it less possible to find Ruin instantly and also gives one hit)
    • Monitor and Abuse: (16 metre Terror Radius, even with 4.4 m/s you can catch people off guard)
    • Nurses: (With Monitor and a small Killer it's extremely good anyways and you'll get good information)

    Addons:

    • Dried Cicada
    • Dragonfly Wings

This combo pretty much allows you to travel over the whole map when someone triggers a trap. It's one of my favourites. Sometimes I use range with trap setting speed but setting speed is fast anyways so it's kinda wasted.

  • More excited for sound fixes than anything else. Hopefully we get the sounds like they were between Spirit and Legion update. Since the Legion update sounds were ######### and never returned even close to their old glory

  • Meanwhile people like me try double Judith's Tombstone lol

Some still think of Wraith as D-tier or lower.

They're free to, but i believe he got out of there.

Yeah, he is definitely better. Without Addons he is #########, I agree there. But nobody plays Killer without addons. Wraith is better than most other M1 Killers because he moves very stealthy, and that's an powerful ability many people underestimate.

Trapper and hag had a small buff with the new EGC. EGC vs a single survivor is sure 4k if you find the hatch first (anyway 90% with other killers and 100% hillbilly and nurse)

Trapper is still a very, very bad Killer, if not the worst

Excessive? You can literally go anywhere you want. Put a trap at a hook and a few gens, then you have INSANE map pressure. 15 seconds is not even that long. Mint Rag is one of THE most powerful add-ons in the game, top 5 easily. You want it to be even BETTER?!?

The problem with Mint Rag is that you can't really chose to which trap you want to teleport because if there are traps in a straight line in front of you you'll probably teleport to the wrong place. Also, when someone loops you you can't just teleport if they trigger a trap, you have to look at the triggered trap and then teleport and that gives the Survivor slightly more time to loop you and avoid getting hit after a teleport.

When it comes to MyC, people think it's not counterable. Just trigger the trap, wait until it's gone and then unhook, in that time Survivor can run out of the basement if she doesn't teleport back

Yeah I just want most the ultra-rares be addons you save for when you knows it's a hard group of survivors and you need the extra power. Currently when you see those groups you grab your very-rares instead because they are just better since they don't have all these crazy downsides attached to them.

Imagine saying: "Now I am gonna destroy this swf with my black box lol!"

  • @Blueberry said:

    I don't think anyone wants to see a 5 blink nurse..lol

I'd remove the negatives and make it 1 additional blink. A total of 3 blink nurse should be her ultra rare and is already pretty busted.

Nurse addons are kinda hard to change. I mean, imagine using this pink addon with campbells last breath. 7 blinks but with much more fatique, slower movement speed and less blink range. It would break the game in half like the Titanic. I think I have to look at my Nurse section again. Other Killers are okay in my opinion

  • @Blueberry said:

With how the games balance has been for so long, I don't think starting at "too strong" and working our way back would even be that bad. The games been going with a starting at "really weak" and kind of, maybe, a little, working our way forward..lol

It would be nice to see something actually release in a strong state for once.

When it comes to my Nurse addon change ideas... idk. One ultra rare suggestion was:

    Sallie's darkest secrets:

    • 3 additional chain blinks
    • Considerably increases fatique duration (~ increases by 25 %)
    • Considerably decreases movement speed (I think it was 15 % less or something)
  • Also, I wrote that on the last Q&A on YouTube. not_queen, McLean and Horvath are my favourite stream Trio cuz of their sense of humor, jokes and information they give.

  • @Blueberry said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/492687#Comment_492687

I'd agree there is a long list of addons that need changes for a multitude of killers. That's not even touching on the ultra-rares yet. They started on it a long time ago but it was put on halt when they got a little too busy.

At some point of my life I found time to look at every Killer addon and try to change them to make them better. Most Killers have completely different addons now (in my list). I gave every Killer the same amount of addons (4 brown, 5 yellow, 5 green, 4 purple and 2 pinks)

I might look into them again because I have a feeling that some are a bit to strong and not well looked at.

  • @tafner said:

I have a crush on all of them. Specially Horvath and not_queen.

    So you're bi I guess

You didn't really give opinions on any changes. You just basically said if they were fun or strong.

Yeah, I didn't really read this whole thread, I only saw people talking about ultra rares and then I strg c + strg v that link here. I have a huge Excel List of Addon changes/buffs for every Killer

  • Slowing the work/school down just a little bit.

  • I don't really feel like eating meat right now because I already ate something today :(

  • Depends. If a Survivor is pretty cocky I use it right away. Otherwise I use it on their last hook. I use them barely anyway but when I use them I use them like that. When I have a kill daily I normally use green ones but since the EGC I can also use the yellow one.

My personal favourite stays Devour Hope if it gets to 5 Tokens.

  • @Bithard said:

I'd do it to keep your attention on me, you would be surprised how many killers will lose it and focus you for the whole game. Normally results in some hefty camping for me but I accept this 😂

The problem with Trapper is, if you focus someone cuz of that, you'll lose the game because he is weak af. Other Killers won't have such problems cuz they have things which can help in chases. Survivor who loop windows (ironworks, coal tower, suffocation, storehouse) need to be ignored. I wonder why MacMillian has the most unfair window spots.

  • The build I played with the most:

    • Thanatophobia: (because Legion is 1 of 2 Killers that can multitask pretty good. Second on is Plague)
    • Hex: Ruin: (because it is needed on every Killer unfortunately, maybe not Nurse)
    • Monitor and Abuse: (Decrease the Terror Radius so Survivors have to mend earlier, it also adds confusion because Legion is small)
    • Nurses Calling: (Good for chain attacks and Monitor helps alot there)

    I also tested:

    • Save the best for last: (Fast cooldown, you have to ignore your Obsession sometimes which can be a problem)
    • Hex: Ruin:
    • Hex: Haunted Ground aka Ghost Graveyard or Spirit Fury
    • Monitor and Abuse or Enduring
  • Both are fun in my opinion. In terms of strenght, definitely Spirit. She has map pressure, mindgame potential and she can't really get looped. The only issue with her are the sound problems which are hopefully getting fixed soon.

Plague can get looped unless she has Corrupt Purge active, then she turns to a Leathertress. Her Purge is kinda bugged what I can say. Sometimes when Corrupt Purge should hit a Survivor it doesn't hit. She is weak against optimal Survivors but that doesn't really matter because there are worse Killers, also most Killers get dominated against optimal Survivors, even the Nurse can struggle there. She is interesting because she is not an M1 Killer. She has kind of an instadown (puke on Survivors to break them, they don't get the speed boost and then down them). Best Addons in my opinion are Vile Purge effectiveness addons and the green one which increases your movement speed while charging Purge and you have less cooldown after puking.

  • I don't really mind Noed in it's current form but I still thought about an interesting change which I personally like.

Hex: No one escapes Death back to No one escapes death

    • When the last gen is finished Survivors suffer from Exhaustion, Blindness, Mangled and Hemorrhage for the rest of the Trial
    • All remaining pallets are immidiately thrown down by the Entity
    • 50 % of the remaining pallets automatically break
    • Increases your movement speed by 5 % for the rest of the Trial

  • @SunderMun said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/64815/pallet-vacuum

I take it this is a joke.

That said, yesterday I played vs a wraith that got a free hit because for some reason as I ran through a pallet, I was pulled back onto the same side as him when I pressed space, despite having already passed it; it felt like a vacuum.

Reverse vacuum. It's a new thing, just on Killer side this time kappa

I never have trouble winning a match using Freddy’s Red Paint Brush in conjunction with other dream transition reduction add ons.

The speed reduction isn’t that much of a handicap when survivors simply cannot hide from you (especially when using M&A), and I’ve never really noticed the speed reduction anyway. He is a little slower but he doesn’t feel “slow”.

Black Box though absolutely has to change and i hope it’s addressed in the rework. It’s currently the riskiest add on for any killer to use. Black Box sounds great on paper: immediately seeing exactly where one survivor is from the start of the match, but it’s not always easy to make great use of that before that survivor wakes themselves up. And then you’re down using just 1 add on for the remainder of the match.

I don't know. Chasing with 110 % isn't really healthy. It's the same case if you chase without hatchets. You have to rely on mistakes and jumpscares. Jumpscare Myers is still better because they can still escape from dream state against Freddy. I am hyped how they'll change addons with the Freddy rework.

  • If Ruin wasn't a must have then I'd use it on everybody, maybe Monitor and Abuse instead of Shadowborn on certain Killers. I don't generally care about winninh but still, I also don't want games to be less than 5 minutes because you lose alot of BP which I care about the most in this game

  • If it would make scratch marks brighter on top of the closer marks with louder footsteps then yes. In it's current form, no.

  • When i first saw this thread I thought it was about "What is pallet vacuum?"

  • Trapper is near the weakest Killer if not the weakest. In my opinion he is the worst. No wonder why he is such a toy. My matches as him aren't very different.

  • General Kenobi

  • I can write up all the ultra rares and share my opinion:

    Trapper:

    • Iridescent Stone: Godlike, you don't waste to much time setting/resetting traps after they got disarmed
    • Bloody Coil: Also very good with a few other Addons. Very good with Iridescent Stone. Survivors risking their health cuz they want to disarm a trap is very good, and maybe they'll be stupid to get caught after disarming a Trap.

    Wraith:

    • Coxcombed Clapper: One of the funniest and best Wraith Addons. Jumpscare potential and with Nurse's Calling it's definitely very good.
    • All Seeing - Spirit: In my opinion useless by itself but gimmicky. Can be good with an Gen protector Build.

    Myers:

    • Fragrant Tuft of Hair: Not my favourite cuz it wastes much time on stalking but very powerful when you reach Tier 3. Can also be used well with gimmick builds like Vault Master etc.
    • Judith's Tombstone: By itself there is really no reason to use it because Tombstone Piece exists, but in combination with Tuft of Hair it's really deadly when you reach Tier 3. Also, it requires you to use Play with your Food (a perk I hate in it's current form because it's near to useless)

    Hag:

    • Mint Rag: I didn't play with this addon for very long and I don't wanna start with it because I don't need or like this Addon. It's good on gimmick builds.
    • Waterlogged Shoe: Useless, very useless. It can be okay'ish with scarred hand because you move only a bit faster. Can't really get over the fact that "slightly increases movement speed" means 2.5 % on that addon but when it comes to "slightly decreasing" movement speed" that means you can take off 7 % movement speed on Vanity Mirror or 5 % on Red Paint brush. Pretty stupid in my opinion.

    Doctor:

    • Iridescent King: I literally feel uncormfortable when only looking at that addon because the description by itself gives me a headache.

    Huntress:

    • Iridescent Head: Pretty good but it costs you extra wind up time. Most people use it with an Ebony Mori, that's why people think it's overpowered. The Addon itself isn't overpowered but very strong.

    Freddy:

    • Black Box: Almost forgot that that exists because what?.... this thing literally does nothing. You mine as well hope that someone takes Object of Obsession instead.
    • Red Paint brush: Would be pretty good when the "slightly" reduced movement speed wouldn't be 5 % and taking away the ability to chase as an M1 Killer.

    Pig:

    • Amanda's Letter: It's okay on the positive side but it takes away her traps which is stupid. They could at least increase the range to 16 metres and not take off 3 of her Traps. And it shouldn't take even one Jigsaw Box out.
    • Rule Set.2: I don't really know. I think I spelled the name of that addon wrong cuz it's so useless that it's kinda embarassing.

    Clown:

    • Redheads Pinky Finger: For some reason almost nobody uses it with Clown even if it's an extremely powerful Addon. And no, it's not that hard to hit a bottle on a Survivor.
    • "Something" Middle Finger?: Yeah, exactly. I didn't use it even once because of it's ######### effect for being an Ultra Rare.

    Spirit:

    • Mother-Daughter Ring: Love, Love, LOVE. The mobility you get is wonderful
    • Father's Glasses: Pretty balanced, good but I don't use it because I don't really need it. It's good on new Spirit Players.

    Legion or maybe Lee John?:

    • Fuming/Tuning Mixtape?: The fact that All Seeing Spirit is almost useless makes me laugh about this one which is 10 times worse.
    • Iridescent Button: It's okay but not worth being used because I used it and didn't really get use of it or needed it in any way.

    Plague:

    • Iridescent Seal: Can't really say something about it because I play Plague rarely and didn't use this Addon even once. It still sounds better than Black Box or Fuming Mixtape. It good some many downsides.
    • The other one: Did I mention that I don't really play Plague. I know what it does and it's okay when people don't cure themselves. I guess it's worth a try.

I wouldn't say Hag is underrated, but definitely underused. A lot of people just don't know how to get the most out of her. Unlike Billy and Nurse who are relatively straightforward, Hags ability gives her a lot of possible tactics. I don't see many hag mains but I see a lot of people acknowledge her as top tier.

Meanwhile people who watch a certain YouTuber who thinks Hag is D Tier because he chases with 4.4 m/s and 10 Traps in the pocket.

  • @MegMain98 said:

Underrated: Doctor. He can honestly be such a great killer. Even though she is usually seen as one of the better killers, I think that Hag is underrated.

    Overrated: Probably Billy

Billy is really overrated but still annoying to verse. You can loop him like a normal 4.6 m/s Killer. But you can not really run away from his cuz of his Chainsaw, so if you abandon a loop he'll eventually catch up and still instadown you. He can also use his Chainsaw whenever he wants which is stupid instead of making the Chainsaw chargeable after a few Chainsaw sprints

  • - Get a token when you lose your obsession up to 3 Tokens

    - Every token increases ms by 3/4/5 %

    - 5 second cooldown after gaining a token (so u can't just walk backwards for a few seconds and then get another token)

    - Every third successful attack consumes 1 Token

  • Survivor with MoM don't survive in my matches anymore. Use crutches, you'll die. I refuse to use this ######### as Survivor

  • I got 5 Survivor puddings at once as Nurse once

Perfect solution to being mori-spammed. Do literally anything else, go to the bathroom, or make some tea. You're dead anyway, why sacrifice all your BP?

At least someone who thinks positive lol.

They should still add something or do something against it. Like every time you cancel the Mori, the downed Survivor gets 20 % on their recovery progression and if it reaches 100 %, the Survivor gets up and is invulnerable for a few seconds

  • I literally play "Play who/what you verse". As Survivor I have to play the same Killer with the same perks and addons I versed and then I use the Survivor build of the Survivor who got the most points in my Killer match. It's pretty fun. The only thing I force myself to is to not use Mettle of Man cuz this perk isn't any better than old DS.
