Why Not just pick them up and eat it? At least in early game, I prefer to just eat it and get it out of the way.
Ofcourse as a Spirit main, I'm just going catch em again in 6 seconds, I could see slugging on slower killers tho.
I do it eat it if it is early game. I try to trigger it as fast as possible. I'd much rather have that stun when it is no worse than any Pallet or Blind if I can. However, if it is at a point where it could cause me stress, and I don't have to pick the person up, why would I? I just set the timer.

I started bring DS as surv but don't see any profit from use it, cuz I die last or killer just slug me and don't picking up so this making my DS useless as far as possible??? I don't know, this game is so broken
I couldn't tell you; I don't run it. I did briefly but found I didn't get a reliable enough return on it. Some people swear by it and there are some SWF that have it always as part of their combo. I can tell you as a Killer I just have a little timer on my desk and I hit it the second the person becomes unhooked so I know when I can pick them up again. :)
It is far better to have reliable teammates (Solo or SWF) than it is to have that Perk in my humble opinion.

I don’t want to constantly face sweat squads that abuse perks and waste 30 minutes of my time looking for a match because I consistently 4K. Yuppers. Sounds terribly unfun. Waiting 30 minutes for a game of constant sweat and slugging. No one had fun.
You and I must have very different definitions of fun. Me, I want to fight people who are on my level. I do not want to fight people I consistently 4K because I know they can't stand up to me. There is no defending your position.

90% of red ranks are doofuses. it takes nothing to pip up to rank 1 anymore. I got my friends account to rank 1 playing oni with no regression or slugging perks. I wish ranks reset like they used to, but I don’t mind slapping rank 10’s that are red rank survivors now.
honestly not looking forward to mmr coming back. If I have to vs swear squads every game, that’s when I’ll stop playing.
work in your chases and game sense man, it’s easier than you think.
So let me get this straight, you DON'T want a proper matchmaking system to come come back online because you don't want to fight against matches that actually challenge you and make you earn your victories? If you have to work for it, you are leaving? You know how that sounds right?

Ummm... gross? None of the above?

Camp is not tactics.I hope you learned by now.Camping is toxic behavior. The punishment for camping is always the survivors.Because before 5 generators run out, always the victim on the hook dies. Then you face the noed (best case scenario) and one more hook. The killer took 2 deaths for free by pulling his hand from the keyboard and mouse. If we can resist it a little while playing swf, you will never be able to resist when playing solo.I don't remember we never won against the camp killer when we played solo.Because one unnecessary survivor will definitely go to save him.BHVR should now find a solution to this toxic behavior
There are lots of solutions to this behavior, but they are all "in game" and not something the DEV do. Camping is most certainly a tactic. Survivors have their own ways of dealing with it. To put it in context, I play in the Red Ranks. I got my rear handed to me the other day where all five Generators were up and I finally got someone down. I put them on the hook and camped because I had no where else to go, no Generators to patrol. It took twenty seconds and the other Survivors started to swarm me. Even with me RIGHT THERE they were able to get the person off the hook, body block, and get everyone out. :)
It isn't because I'm a bad Killer; I'm fairly decent. It is because there are effective tactics the Survivors can use when they are good enough. I know that is a hard thing to hear, but you just aren't good enough yet. This is what you do when there is a face camping Killer.
- Work your Generators.
- 99 the exit gates.
- Do BONES! There is no Noed if you do the Totems early, or have a person find and kill it after it lights.
- Work in tandem, either a team of 2 or 3 to get your person off the hook after everything else is done.
Will you always get everyone out? No, of course not. There is always risk. However, if you do these things against a face camping Killer, you will do fine overall as a group. Sometimes someone does die on the hook and takes one for the team.

Myers is a mid tier killer. Depending on the map and the build you use he can be strong. With the usual undying + ruin and tinkerer you should be able to 3-4K no problem.
The only time you might struggle is if you get really unlucky with the map + (ormond, nice farm spawns) and you get competent SWF teams (rarely happens). Apart from that you should have little difficulties.
My experience shows otherwise. I will have to bow to what must be your much superior playing Skills. I find the Red Rank Survivors to be quite capable these days.

And how many times you 3/4k?
No idea. I don't keep track. I tend to get Brutal Killer most often in the Red Ranks, with the odd Ruthless to offset the odd Entity Displeased.

That is not true. It used to be a struggle years ago. For a long while now, it’s just not a struggle anymore. Red ranked survivors are as useless as rank 10s.
Hrm. Interesting. I fight Red Rank Survivor's every match, and I find it a struggle every time.

@valvarez4 said:
And old MoM and old DS turned killers into potatoes. Guy, killer is easy as hell now
Really? Interesting view from the cheap seats. Killer has always been easier in the potato Ranks. It gets rather hard as you hit the middle Ranks, and a downright struggle as you approach and get into the Red. The needle shifts. This is because Survivors need each other to win, and early on there are 4x the chances of weak links. As you advance in Ranks, the weak links become fewer and fewer.
-
Undying doesn't turn Players into potatoes; they do that themselves. It can be dealt with just like anything else; it just takes time and effort.
-
I don't see a problem with it. Will it mean the Killer gets hit with a pallet on occasion? Yes. Is it avoidable? Yes. To do this build, which is definitely a niche build, you give up a lot of slots. Power to you. The Killer can do the following:
- Time downs for before or past the pallet.
- Leave the target slugged if under the pallet.
- Pick the person up really fast if nobody else is around before the combo can work.
- Don't walk under a pallet on the way to a hook.
- Take Perks that make getting hit by Pallets a very short stun and then just down the target again.
- At least for now, just Mori for laughs rather than pick people up (I'm sure that will irritate some people)
I've already played against it as it is now in the play test. It wasn't a big deal. I think I got hit by it twice in a whole lot of matches. Both times I got greedy and wanted a shortcut to a hook, when just going around the pallet would have served me fine. And you know what? It was still just a pallet stun. They happen all the time. It didn't cost me the game.
-
In my experience if you need help getting motivated, it is time to take a break. However, when I feel lost at sea I pick a really hard goal and start working toward it. For me, that does the trick.

I don't know if that actually works any more. A year ago they implimented a system that only takes into account the SWF member with the highest rank while matchmaking to prevent exactly this, and I've heard conflicting statements about whether or not it was actually disabled
It isn't working. My gal was getting into the game and then that turned off. She had the same experience, game after game of SWF rigging things to get her into a room with 1-3 Red Rank and their token lower ranks. She won't play Killer anymore.

Every single game, EVERY SINGLE GAME I've played today and yesterday I've died on second hook WHILE running Kindred, or I was completely tunneled off hook and admittedly hooked again. No one helps with gens, no one heals me, no one helps me off hook. I get absolutely cucked EVERY single game by useless teammates and tunneling killers.
This game only seems fun to people who play toxic, or to people who actually have friends to play with.
I've spent so much time and money on this terrible game, I wish I could go back in time and stop myself from starting this game.
The glitches will never be fixed, the hitboxes will never be fixed, the ranking system will never be fixed, the point system will never be fixed, and the trashy teammates and the terrible killers will never get good.
You are suffering from some real problematic issues in the game, and I'm not going to make light of them. The only thing I can say is that it does get better. Either that, or we learn to let go of the little things and stop thinking of the game as a single match, but rather a long term endeavor. Solo Que is a mess right now, and the way the game is going, I don't see that getting any better. If you want someone to play Survivor with, that will at least attempt to do so in good faith, hit me up on Steam and I'll play with you, or direct you to some others who will too. We take the game serious, and we have fun. If you die on the hook, it won't be for our lack of trying to get to you. Or, take a break, however long you need. It might be permanent. All things come to an end. Someday, I will grow bored of this game or have no more mountains to climb. I will bid it a fond farewell and move on to a new game. It happens.

I always say what I really mean. I'm very literal. I find life much easier by being direct. Thus, I have no filter. I answered this notion in another post, so I won't rehash, but it suffices to say that I don't need other meat shields. I actually benefit from people behaving in this manner when I play Killer, and since I have a SWF available whenever I want to play Survivor, I don't suffer from the problems caused by the suicides because it is a Solo Que issue. I have no ulterior motives for stating the obvious; in fact, I profit more by remaining silent and just making bank off the stupidity.

And this makes perfect sense. This is a tactic, and a perfectly acceptable one. It isn't the problem scenario, as this is taking oneself out on the hook with the purpose of helping the other Survivors and in a way a personal win. It is the exact opposite of people who suicide on the hook for selfish, bad sport reasons.

Dude trying to be the moral community crusader isn't working for you, just stop nobody takes you seriously anymore.
You assume someone took me seriously in the first place? Let me be abundantly clear. When I advise people to play hard, and do their best, fighting to the bitter end, it goes against MY interests. While I play just as much Survivor as I do Killer, I see myself as a Killer main. That means I profit every single time a Survivor behaves in a selfish, bad sport sort of way. I don't see myself as a moral crusader. I compete with myself. I consider the lot of you hobbling yourselves to be silly. Why are you giving me a free advantage?
I enumerated why people should not do this in my very first post. It hurts the Player who suicides; they deny themselves opportunities. It hurts the other Survivors in the match by making their position that much harder (if not impossible), and it hurts the community by eroding Solo Survivor as a group even more than it has already. You know who it doesn't hurt? Killers. So, by extension, it doesn't hurt me. If I want a SWF, I have one. We simply opt not to use Comms, and thus can play clean. So, again, all the negatives that come out of the current habit of Survivors falling on their own swords, doesn't hurt me.
I'm pointing this out because I benefit from the current "stupid" situation. This isn't about morality, although I do feel that people should be good sports. It is about your own vested interests. I'm pointing out that this behavior, long term, doesn't serve the people who do it well. Anyone who believes it does, hasn't really thought the ramifications through. They are mind gaming themselves in a very bad way. But then again, we lie best when we lie to ourselves.

Well... if it’s any consolation, I’m rarely upset at the killer.
I usually resort to this because of what another survivor did.
- did an unsafe hook rescue on me without BT. If the killer ignores the unhooker and chases me instead, I give up. There’s no point in a chase I’m not going to win, and I’m not going to mash struggle just so this exact same scenario happens again, most likely with the exact same rescuer.
- Survivors keep kiting the killer onto me more than once. ESPECIALLY if I’m in a gen I’ve nearly completed.
- If the killer is camping but nobody is on gens.
- If the killer ISN’T camping (and I’m running Kindred) and yet I STILL go to struggle state. I’m not mashing that button.
- Actually troll behaviour like body blocking teammates in corners and crevices.
I’m just not going to put up with it, and I’m not going to torture myself by staying in games where this occurs. I’m gonna find the killer and suicide on hook.
And for what it is worth, I understand this view. I've gotten my share of bad apples as fellow Survivors. I've gotten the nimrods that try to work for the Killer, and those that entered the game somehow already in league with the Killer. I've gotten the morons who just crouch around doing nothing. I've been farmed so many times I should be getting subsidies from the Federal Government. I understand your frustration; I really do. I stay, however, and fight for as long as I can because one other Survivor might just deserve a few more minutes to finish a Rift, a Generator, find the Hatch, or something. I fight to the bitter end just because it is my nature.
I just don't want you to think I don't share your contempt for bad Survivors. I do.

It’s just a video game!!
If I’ve had a string of rough matches because I’m sick to death of how awful the other survivors are, and something else happens in the current match that pushes my patience over the line, then I’m suiciding on the hook. The other 3 just have to re-evaluate their approach to the match.
I turn on my console and a game for ENTERTAINMENT. I’m not sticking around if it’s miserable match after miserable match.
But that is exactly why the Solo Que is so horrific right now. The social contract between Survivors is eroding fast. It means, exactly due to this attitude of walking away at any time for any reason that it is hard as heck to get anyone reliable unless you SWF. Saying it is just a game, is not an excuse. Either we show up to play, or we don't. I've already said, suicide on the hook is better than a disconnect and that it meets the minimum requirement. But really, is that all we are shooting for these days, the minimum?
I'm just saying, we reap what we have sown. I think anyone complaining about ANY Killer who walks out of games, is a hypocrite and has no legs to stand on. We don't know if the Killers are too powerful or not, because the games are tilted by people who bail. Of course those games will end up losses. Do you see my point? Pretty much I think anyone who embraces this attitude of, "eh... I'm leaving" has pretty much given up any real right to complain about anything else.

Yeah and a lot of those people will end up leaving me on a hook while they gen rush, I no doubt am older (dunno) but even so I can very much predict how a match is going to be going, from my early start etc, I just move on and with the rift people are more selfish then others and I too, trying to do some missions I wont care I am like toodle oo. But I am honest about such, it is just a game in the end, and uh well I certainly don't do gens and evade Killers in the real world so uhm, not sure where this in game out game assumption comes from :)
The assumption is that if you are a self-centered, inconsiderate, bad sport in the game... that you are probably the same thing in the real world. I'm pretty sure you knew exactly what I meant by that.

It's just....a....game....
It is a game that four other people besides yourself signed in to play with the expectation that you would be finishing the match. I'm old and been around the block. I've found there is a direct correlation to how people behave in "games" and how they behave in the real world. If people don't actually want to play the game, they shouldn't sign in in the first place.

There are many people argue whether the DC penalty is warranted or not, this solution would make everybody happy. Each trial survivors gain the ability to vote 1 player out, when 3 players vote one person the entity will instantly consume that survivor (with the animation from the endgame collapse). Note this does not work in a SWF 2, 3 or 4.
To answer if this can be abused or not or what this has to do with the DC penalty. The point is to make players want to appeal to their team, and if anyone DCs it is a 12 hour ban every time, never getting extended even if many DCs.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
There is no fix to the DC penalty required. People just stop disconnecting and the penalty becomes moot. :)

So on the dbd Facebook group someone made a post about how they destroyed a team of rank 20-15ish survivors with blight. They said that the game was easy and bragging about how they only got one gen done.
I commented and said that getting a 4k against rank 20 survivors isn't something to brag about and seems very unsportsmanlike. This girl in the group replied to my comment saying that I was rude for no reason, I'm toxic and that she hates the dbd community cause of people like me.
I never insulted the guy who made the post btw, i remained respectful and never said that he was bad or questioned his own skill. So am I in the wrong for trying to tell this guy that bragging about killing rank 20 survivors isn't really a great thing to do? Or am I a rude toxic disrespectful person and my mom never taught me decent manners, according to this girl in the group.
Pls remain respectful in the comments.
No, if things transpired as you described, I wouldn't say you did anything wrong. I don't think bragging about destroying new Players is being humble in victory (quite the opposite) and is nothing spectacular to admit either. It would be like bragging about how I destroyed those 1st Graders at Dodge Ball, sending them home with red-welted faces and crying. Of course, I'm even more embarrassed for potent Rank Killers who Smurf with their SWF so they can pull Killers far below their own Rank. Some people just don't have any self respect.
Humble in victory, and gracious in defeat. That is how people should be.

I disagree on the use of the word Coward. They're certainly taking the easy way out, thats true. But to call leaving the game early a cowardly act implies some for of bravery by choosing to stay, and its an Effing video game.
If you're having fun, stay in the game.
If you're not having fun, on your way you go, no hard feelings.
If peoples choices come down to making it either stay and not have fun, or leave and ruin others fun, that is a failing of the design, not an act of cowardice on part of the player.
We can agree to disagree. It means someone is afraid of challenge, of facing something hard. That is not a failing of the design. Everyone knows going into this game, how it is played, and the nature of their role. The game expects people to be good sports, and to play hard, i.e. do their best. It isn't a failing of the game, that there are people so self-involved that they continue to play a game and ruin it for others on a whim or their mood. All it takes to be a good sport (and I repeat this endlessly) in this game is:
- Don't cheat either with hacks or lag spikes.
- Don't disconnect, if you start a game, FINISH it.
- Be humble in victory and gracious in defeat.
While I admit suicide on the hook meets the MINIMUM requirements listed above, it is still a cowardly, odd way of playing the game. I never understand people who know the rules, know what is expected, and continue to play when they disagree with it. Again, as someone who plays Killer at least half of the time, I could care less when people do this. My sympathies are for the Survivors who stick out the game and play the hard ones. That takes grit. It certainly takes more courage and class than someone who suicides on the Hook just because I yanked them off a Totem in the first 20 seconds of the game and hooked them. I can't begin to describe how bad I felt for that David who literally worked to get to that Jake, and then saw any chance he had of getting out of Gideon go up in smoke.
*And for the record, the other three Survivors did NOT disconnect, nor did they suicide on the hook. That David fought me tooth and nail. If I could name him here I would. So again, we can agree to disagree because the other three had courage, the Jake did not.

We all know how killer games go. Find your first survivor, he runs in circles for 3 minutes, all the gens get done and they escape with Adrenaline/BT/DS/DH. This has become so bad that there are only 2 killers (Sally and Rin) that can consistently perform well in Red Ranks if they want to double pip and retain their Rank 1. Even worse - Rin was broken last update so unless you were Nurse your pip was a heavily weighted coin toss. Some killers such as Caleb and Triangle Daddy can sometimes beat a strong Red Rank SWF, but can't compete if they use the Genrush Strategy.
This is why I think the game should try and cut down on this stupid running in circles strategy to win every game without thinking. Instead, we should focus on the Stealth aspect of the game. I think most survivors (who aren't pathetic bullies) can agree that the suspense of a killer almost finding you in a hiding spot is far more thrilling than running around a pallet 10 times rinse repeat. The fact that there are 10+ pallets which can each last from 30 seconds to a few minutes (Bloodlust takes way too long to kick in) pushes the "chase killer only" meta that has plagued so many players into only playing Rin Sally and sometimes Caleb.
We want to play Amanda and sneak up on survivors.
We want to play Anna and line up a sweet hatchet on a Zarina who didn't quite hide well enough.
We want to play Lisa and scare survivors with our Phantasms.
But we can't - because the meta right now is looping, and any killer that doesn't excel there isn't viable.
I want to be helpful. No, that is not how it goes, or at least it isn't how it is "supposed" to go. You do not spot your first Survivor and then chase them for 3+ minutes. You evaluate the quarry, the landscape, and you cut that chase off if it goes longer (in my case) usually about (20) seconds. The only time I'm going to chase a Survivor for a LONG time is when I have the luxury, i.e. everyone else is on hooks, slugged, or cowering in some corner and I've already read their mettle.
To put this in context, I play Myers as my Killer. Until I made it to Rank-1 he was my exclusive Killer. That means I start the game slow, and have to speed up. I generally find that 20 seconds is enough to get someone down, if you were ever going to get them down. There are some chases that are doomed from the start. There are some chases I won't even start. Part of learning to be a good Killer is making that evaluation. However, if you don't like Looping (or you aren't very good at it) there are plenty of Killers whose powers and profiles allow you to avoid it. Consider the Stealth Killers (or builds). Consider the Trapper or Hag who herd people into their traps.
And for the record, I performed well consistently in the Red Ranks with MYERS. I didn't make it to Rank-1 on my ego and endless opinions (although they are excessive). I know lots of Players who are hanging out in the Red Ranks and playing a whole range of Killers. Your arguments are based on ill-advised assumptions. Looping is annoying for Killers, particularly when you aren't very good at it. At best, I've made it to "average" when it comes to Looping. For the longest time I was outright BAD. I accept my weakness and just learned to compensate by better evaluation, avoiding tunnel vision on a particular Survivor, and working mind games and short cuts to my advantage.
There are maps that favor Looping Gods. There are also maps that punish people who rely on it. Looping isn't killing the game. The only thing that is hard on the game is the SWF because figuring out how to actually balance it is a nightmare.

If I can play devil's advocate here. What's the problem with being selfish? No one will repay me in someway for the time I lost in the match. Right? Time is something that never comes, when it goes, it goes forever and no one can ever point a finger to you for being selfish. Talking about selfishness. You want them to stay on-hook with a camping killer so others and YOU can escape. Isn't that being selfish as well? Because YOU want, they need to sacrifice themselves for you and that's selfish as well.
Absolutely I do. And I do the same in return. Survivors have to play different from the Killer. If they don't work as a team, they lose. Playing selfishly, or simply leaving the game like Cartman with a "screw you guys... I'm going home" is the antithesis of how Survivors advance and win games. Nobody enjoys sitting on the Hook, myself included, but I do it. I owe it to the other Survivors to do my best and fight for every second, as that is also their time. The only person in the game that profits from selfish Survivor behavior is the Killer.

It's really not that deep. There are so many instances of clearly unwinnable games or downright unfun ones for various reasons. It's pretty easy to tell when you have no possibility of winning a game based on what your teammates are doing when you're hooked or how many gens are done relative to how much time has passed. I don't blame anyone who would rather lose in 3 minutes than 10 minutes when they only have a limited amount of time to play each night.
Except that this is a selfish, and egotistical way of looking at it. YOU are deciding there is no possibility to win; quite a ego you have there. But in this game there are several ways to win, earn points, and advance Emblems. Leaving early denies all your fellow Survivors that. If you aren't up to play the game to the end in the first place, don't bother playing at all.

If someone kills themselves on hook (or DC's) when I'm playing killer, I almost always just sigh and let the rest of them escape, unless it's late into the match. It's not fun for either side, and the only time I've ever done it is if I had an emergency, or that time when PS4 was broken and the game just didn't register my struggling.
I don't do this exactly. I play the game, but I do tend to lighten up a bit so they can earn more points. And I'm far more likely to let them get the hatch. Sometimes I'll even let them out but I don't "farm" all that often because nobody learns anything from that. I will play the game but in 2nd Gear. That way they get practice and points. I get some points too, and can try out some new mind games, or whatever. I don't have a problem with your choice here. In fairness, I've done it too from time to time. I just don't go this route anymore, because I want them and me to get something from the game more than just points.

Yeah, but if the Killer is camping you, then you can buy them time. It is a courtesy that I'm sure you would appreciate yourself if you were working Generators and you saw that. The best way to cure a Killer of camping is for the rest of the team to milk those camped hooks and get everyone else out. If I hit a camping Killer, I'm there till the bitter end because I'll have him through two whole stages.

Please go easy on me lol. This is my second week playing this game.
Tunneling is neither bad nor good. It is just a tactic which is applied as dictated by the situation in a given match. The same is true for camping, slugging, and the Mori. They are all valid tactics and are in the toolbox for a reason. Used incorrectly they will hurt you more than help you as a Killer. Used correctly, when a situation actually calls for it, they can save you from the jaws of defeat.
Tunneling has a lot of risks associated with it:
- You can get "tunnel vision" and focus so much on one Survivor that you over commit to chases and give up other opportunities.
- There are Perks, like Decisive Strike, which will can punish you for tunneling.
- There are tactics the Survivors can use to block tunneling, and or take advantage of your focus on one target.
For example, if I realize we have a tunneler I will usually take advantage of it to get them to chase/tunnel me and lead them through the best selections of pallets I can and take the Killer as far away on the map from the rest of the Survivors as possible. The more time I buy them the better. People who tunnel, often camp because they want to be in position to tunnel when that Survivor is unhooked. Thus, I can not only waste the Killer's time in the chase, I can also side line them if I picked route to move into a section of the map that is remote and already cleared of Generators that need working. Do you follow? In short, tunneling can be used effectively to remove a Survivor, cutting the head off the snake if you feel a specific person needs to go, but its value beyond that is dubious. You often give up more than you get.

I'm trying to learn how to play doctor at rank 7, and it is one of the most miserable experiences I've ever had in this game. Not only am I getting stomped every game with maybe 1 hook, but gens are flying so fast that I get no more than 5 minutes to even practice per match. I know people say rank doesn't matter, but all I'm being paired with (at least tonight anyway) are rank 1-3's, more than likely some swf groups considering how coordinated they're playing. I just need all the help I can get lol
The hard way, sadly. :)

If you're playing solo, then yeah. That's the normal experience, but it's not the normal experience when you play killer. Then it's trial after trial of 2×2, 3, or 4-person parties, with nearly every single survivor running the same perks and playing very aggressively with decent coordination, even from the random solo or two that are chilling with Kindred or Bond spliced between their other meta perks.
It really is a different world, playing at red ranks as both sides. But that's what happens when you balance a game around survivors not having info and/or having a potato, then giving players the option to have insane info and/or not have a potato.
Amen. I'm always amused by people who jump on and post about whatever they are upset about, claiming to be Red Rank (this or that) and then describing things in a way that CLEARLY indicates they are not, and haven't the slightest idea of what playing in the Red Ranks is about or like. It is as if they think pretending to be Red Ranks will give more weight to their arguments. All it does is undermine them as most of us instantly recognize it and disregard anything they say from then on, because you can't build an argument on a lie.

I talk from experience when my lil sister said "no, no, what are you doing kicking a baby?" even when he is a killer
He is Charlotte's brother so what? he still looks like a "baby" and a survivor kicking him seems too much!
Devs try to lessen the fact of a "kicked" baby with the "crushed" terminology lmao
You might as well be complaining about kicking Chucky. If people are upset about what is clearly a demonic little troll getting rough treatment, I can only imagine what kind of nonsense we would be listening to if Chucky who looks like a Toddler with a knife were getting his proper rough treatement.

I wasn't going to comment in this thread (or any like it for that matter) because I think it is silly. I managed to resist commenting in the threads about mattresses in Badham. I managed to bite my tongue about several other threads where someone is offended. I managed to hold off most of today for this one. I should have known my resolve would fail. I'm going to try to sum up quickly, rather than my normal long screed, why this thread (and many like it) are silly.
- This entire game is predicated on monstrous serial killers, monsters in fact that go around killing people in gruesome ways. In the real world murder, itself, is offensive. We accept, however, for the convention of games that make-believe murders are not.
- This game has people placed on imaginary meat hooks to be sacrificed to a dark entity.
- This game has people vomited upon, shot with a harpoon-rifle, savaged with chainsaws, and on and on and on.
- We have Killers that are cannibals that wear the faces of their dead victims as a mask.
- We have a Killer that is an supernatural pedophile from beyond the grave.
- We have a witch who was tortured by cannibals and driven insane and turned into one herself.
- We have a gal who wears an actual pig's head and murders people with reverse bear traps in a cruel, fixed game.
- We have an insane doctor who tortures people with eletro-shock, still a hot topic and in use in the real world.
- Most of our Survivors are young, innocent and not deserving of their fate.
- The entire setup is literally Hell, with innocents being forced to endure torture, pain and death over and over again.
With all this in mind, people are upset about squashing a demonic little troll? The DEV don't even refer to this thing as a baby. It isn't. It is a semi-conjoined Twin. It is a monster, a little demon which lives like a parasite in the chest of its sister (who is also a monstrous killer). I'm convinced that people who make silly posts like this one, are just Trolls themselves, looking for something to complain about or fight about. Get over it. If squashing Victor offends you and the other things on this list don't, I'd have to call you a hypocrite.

The Nurse is a great example of how to not make a killer, but because she is bad, but because she is overpowered and is the best killer without a doubt. If you can use her.
As anyone who has gone against one can tell you, a god nurse will destroy you regardless of what you do. Meanwhile, a newer nurse player is as scary as a pillow case. The first problem with Nurse's design is that is forces you to use her power, as she moves too slowly to catch up to survivors normally. This means for newer players, you are out of luck, especially with the lack of a practice mode to learn her power.
The second problem is the lack of counter play. If you are out in the open and you see a good nurse coming at you, you are going to get hit. A good point of comparison is Demogorgon's shred, as both let each killer close the gap quickly and get a hit off. However, while a good Demo's shred can be dodged as it is rather predictable, the nurse can pull of some crazy shenanigans to make it impossible to predict her. My personal experience with this was letting a survivor vault to trigger "I'm all ears", teleporting to the basement, before popping back up to hit them. There was no way for the survivor I was facing to predict my movement, which left the survivor getting rather stabbed.
So how do you fix these problems? I am not sure if you can or even need to. I think Nurse is weird spot. She is clearly broken, but the amount of skill needed to make her broken is so high that almost everyone, even myself, are fine with her almost limitless skill ceiling.
In the end, I think Nurse is fine where she currently is. She is broken, but only a select few can take advantage of its true power. But please, BHVR, for the love of the entity, do not make another killer like the Nurse. It is already hard enough to learn/play against the Nurse, I don't need another killer with a similar design to make the game even more broken. I mean at the very least they have not added a killer with a similar power that is also very broken but ten times easier to use- oh wait.

This girl. This girl right here. They tried solving the issue of a high skill floor, and did not realize why it was there in the first place. Spirit was designed to be similar to nurse, but they did not realize that nurse was more powerful than any other killer, and, I personally think, that they underestimated just how powerful Spirit was as well.
I have been dancing around what exactly the design behind nurse was, but I will state it what it is now. A very powerful ability, but with a heavy cost any time you use it. But there is always a way to negate the cost. A Nurse that does not miss never has to deal with the stun, and a spirit can just run stridor. This design always fails because it ignores a core part of Dead By Daylight, adaption. If it can be abused, it will be abused. Players will always find a way to cover their weakness and that is just a fact. Luckily, BHVR has seem to have learned from their mistakes and have avoided using this model for any new killer, but just give them time. They will try to make another killer like them, and we will have to suffer once again.
The Nurse is one of the best Killers in the game, albeit one with a steep learning curve. You should rethink your commentary a bit. I think there being a great Killer that takes effort to master is great. Someday I'll try to learn her and go from zero to hero with her. Only time will tell.

Keep in mind that there are already 3 killers with stalking powers
Hard to say. By all accounts, he is a generic Killer with little to separate him from the pack besides his Hockey Mask.

Why would they do this tho
Because there are losers out there that work with (or for) the Killer.

Could this be a Mettle of Man? I think that protects against insta-downs..
Except this Meg never took any protection hits. I watched the whole video, from start to finish. This was the first time she was even in the Killers line of sight. We aren't going to worry about it too much unless we see it happening again. It is just the weirdest thing. You expect them to go down and they just keep on trucking.
-
Well, I did review the video and the Meg didn't go down and jump back up. She just never went down. So perhaps the timing of the gates was that exact, but I'm a little skeptical. I guess the only thing to do is keep recording and watching to see if it happens more.

It was a meg, so maybe adrenaline? I’m sure it wasn’t, but how many gens were there?
Hrm. I don't recall. I suppose you could be right. I'd rather believe that than a new hack. Yeah.... the Generators were close. I'll rewatch my gal's video to confirm. I feel better about that.

I've seen a lot of comments on the topic of friday the 13th, the lawsuit, jason on dbd, etc. about why they can't see jason voorhees in dead by daylight, many say that he already has his own game but what does that have to do with it? Do you think it is impossible to see this killer in this game? how hillbilly was the inspiration for leatherface and today is it in the game? if there is a trapper there is no complaint that there may be a jason, also jason is a playable character in the mortal kombat saga along with leatherface and freddy krueger. I see it possible to see this killer in the future when his demand is over. I consider there is friday the 13th the game let it die and take out the characters of jason voorhees and tommy jarvis and bring them to dead by daylight...
I think most people are just pragmatic about the legal situation and the cost involved.

Hi question for everyone do you play solo survivor or with friends ? If so how many? I’m curious, from the forums it looks like people think eveyone plays swf but I simply don’t think that’s the case,
I played this game since it was released on ps4 I have played solo for majority of the game i have one friend who sometimes play and I found another while playing recently:)
I play with my friends when it is possible, BUT we agree no out of game communications except for talking about Football, politics, dinner, etc. Sadly, we are in the minority when it comes to that. I play a lot more Solo because my friends don't have the same free time that I do currently. :)

Cringing heck, what a post lmao.
For what it's worth I queue solo red almost all day and constantly get survivors above rank 10, I don't get the point in this post, the whole queueing with low rank friends to get low ranked killers hasn't worked for a year yet people keep clinging to it for some reason.
I don't have much comment on the OP's post one way or another, but I assure you that Smurfing has been working the past two weeks. I introduced my gal to the game and she kept pulling Red Ranks as a Yellow. I told her she couldn't be. Then I watched and tracked her games. Out of the eleven I tracked only three were Rank appropriate for her. She pulled (3) Red Ranks w/one weak Rank twice, (2) Red Ranks with weaker Ranks three times, and (1) Red Rank with an entourage of weaker Ranks three times.
I was floored. This is statistically significant. I'm a Red Rank Killer so I was oblivious to the problem until she showed me. I can assure you that I didn't run into this when I was in the Brown or Yellow Ranks. She said it started about two weeks ago, she thinks when they did the big Patch/Update. Whatever protection there was against Smurfing is off. I just hope the OP's post means they turned it back on.

My best play was as Spooky Myers (Scratched Mirror+Boyfriend's Memo). I hooked the 1st Survivor in the basement. I was playing on Ormond and didn't feel optimistic about my chances. The basement spawned in the main building, which worked out. I would leave the basement and building Stalking and could see the hiding Survivor waiting for me to leave. They would go down the stairs the second I turned out the side door, and I would reverse and follow.
I grabbed the first would-be rescuer while they tried to unhook, and then the next, and then the next in the same way. I ended up with all four hooked in the basement before the first sacrificed out. The timing of it was extremely hard but the results were perfect. That unlocked an achievement too. I've never replicated it the perfect basement party since.

The reason I'm asking is because I just played against Elix's Hag. He destroyed my team and I on Haddonfield.
So yea anybody else? Has anyone else ever gotten to play in a match with other steamers/content creators of the community? How was it? What was it like?
Maybe? I don't really know; I'm relatively new and I don't know all the names of the Streamers alts in the game, nor those of the content creators. I did play against the "actual" Emma Watson once. I get to say I did what Voldemort couldn't, and killed Hermione Granger. :)
