You are gentleman and a scholar. Many thanks! I had one but my gal did not. She deeply appreciates this.

Survivors are just too strong. The options given to them is totally unbalanced. Most maps works for survivors' favor. If you are not a Nurse main, it is just impossible to win.

Before saying anything about that, please search the YouTube and see how Ayrun, The JRM, PROBZZ is playing. They win %95 of the time, if they don't win, it's because they play for chase.

There are lots of spots that can't be mindgamed and must be looped.

I found a SWF group to play with 4 person, full communicated each other.

And we started to test something.

First, we didn't play toxic, totally normal like real survivors trying to escape from their killer.

I took some notes. We won 24 games in a row, then we lost 3 games, then won 12, then lost 2, then won 15. ( I am not lying, I also took screenshots with my crew to prove it. )

So, the question. Are all killers are ######### trash, or the game works for survivors favor? Yes, it works for survivors favor. Most loops can't be mindgamed and there are lots of pallets, windows and line of sight blockers.

But wait, we also tested something too.

We played like toxic shits, all flashlight, all have toxic clothes, entered our offerings for best maps, and here is the result:

We won 7 games first, lost 2 games, then won 14, then lost 4, then won 33, then lost 2 games. But we also experienced something different. We saw 8 disconnected killer because of our toxicity. ( I also have screenshoots with that too )

As you can see, survivors power combined with toxicity, leaves ZERO chance for killer. It even makes a bad behaviour, making the killer disconnect.

( By the way, when I say "won", I mean at least 3 of us escaped that game. We didn't use a key for escaping from hatch. )

Is that really fair or killers trash?

As I said earlier, killers are not trash, game is not fair. Toxicity is ######### evolving, making everyone hate the game.

That's not fair. Just not fair. Why killers have to be like that?

Dead by Daylight is starting to die. Nobody wants to do anything for this. Developers doing nothing, commnutiy is still awful.

And now, I'll probably delete the game.

Baloney. I play Myers, and exclusively Myers, until I reach Rank-1. I'm currently Rank-2 and just two Pips away from my goal. I fight Red Rank SWF in almost every match now, and I still manage to creep forward. I think it is ridiculous when some argue the game is Killer-tilted, and it is equally ridiculous when people argue it is Survivor-titled. The only "real" issue is SWF and who knows if/when that will ever be addressed. if I can win with Myers where I'm at right now, the game sure as heck doesn't require Nurse.

"You will, in time, up your game to deal with it and/or get a team of other Survivors who know how to work with you to do so." -Moonshroud. This is the exact quote from the post I referenced, so you did indeed recommend a SWF. I am not putting words in your mouth but referencing your exact statement. And playing toxic/lazy/cheap, although not outright banned, should not be encouraged. The devs should be doing something to discourage it. With all the added features that are pro-killer I think coming down on the lazier plays, like tunneling, is not asking too much.

Again, you keep trying to put an inference in my words that is not there. Break down what I said again.... I started with:

"You will, in time, up your game to deal with it..." (which indicates that first an foremost I think he will become a better player).

    I continue with:

"And/or get a team of other Survivors who know how to work with you to do so." (I am not talking about a SWF. If you were took back through my posts throughout this Forum you will find I am not a fan of the SWF. I play Solo Que. As you get better and improve your Rank, you end up getting more people in the match with you that KNOW what they are doing. They will know how to work with you. When you are a newbie, basically Ranks 12-20, it is up in the air whether you will get support from your teammates or not. In this context it is clear that I"m talking about going into the match with other Survivors who are capable. You keep looking for something YOU want to hear that isn't there. If I mean SWF, I would say SWF, and talk at length about their 5th Perk (Comms).

This game isn't pro-Killer or pro-Survivor. There are no sides outside an individual match. We are all Players taking part in the same game. Most people do end up playing both sides. Your views on what is and isn't "toxic/lazy/cheap" are irrelevant because (so far) all the things you have chosen to label thus have been designated as valid by the DEV. Just like the OP, you seem hellbent on blaming the problems of Survivors on other Players or the game itself. I would urge you, just like I urged the OP, to own your own results. You earned them; that is the long and the short of it. All of us facing camping, tunneling, slugging, and the Mori from time to time. Most people soldier through it, recognizing it to be just part of the game. So, quit trying to put words in my mouth, and start stating and supporting your own case.

I mean like, when I get on dbd I don't really expect to have fun anymore I really only play the game for the grinding aspect of it 😬

Of course, why would I be playing it if I wasn't having fun. A better question is why are YOU still playing it if you aren't having fun. That is just weird.

  • @EvilJoshy said:

It doesn't sound like a lack fo objectives problem. Though I admit holding M1 is boring. It sounds more like a random problem. If they implement a true ranking system it could weed out the weak and stop them from reaching red ranks. It just baffles my mind how someone who sits at a pallet instead of looping can rank up past green.

SWF. They get carried by information. :)

  • @YehBoiGoku said:

Pretty sure everyone can agree that doing gens is the most boring part of the entire game. The fact that it is the only objective to survive and you have to do 5 of them is so utterly lame.

You can say that it's a group effort and that survivors can put in a group effort to finish them quickly, but lets be honest here, there is always that one guy sitting in the corner doing absolutely nothing while one of your other teammates is wasting every pallet and screwing you over.

I have no idea on what objectives you can put in the game, but I sure as hell know, that doing gens for the past couple years has been the most boring ######### ever and has become very stale.

Well... technically there are lots of roles a Survivor can play on a team. Perhaps the most dangerous and exciting is the "Bait," i.e. the one whose job it is it to loop the Killer and lead him/her away from others. You can likewise take on the role of Totem hunter. Or, like most people, you can do a little of all three. The game is only going to be a progress bar simulator as much as you CHOOSE to Gen-Rush.

Ideally, you will score more points and Emblem progression by doing a little bit of everything, i.e. two Generators, two rescues and/or healing your teammates, at least two Totems, and probably a good minute or two in chase. If you spend all your time slinking around to Generators, i.e. the Hide & Seek approach, I can see that getting boring too.

im trying to be fair on the suvivers

and what are the best killers to run noed on

There is nothing unfair about NOED. If you want to run it, you do you. Plenty of knowledgeable people have already given good advice in this thread, so I won't repeat that. What I will get into is the idea of the "End Game" build. I know a lot of players swear by them. I don't. I think it puts too many eggs in one basket. Since fairness is moot, it is better to talk about whether or not NOED, or any end game Perk, is a good investment for the Killer. I would rather I got my hooks and kills prior to the gates being powered and opened. Having to do your most effective fighting at the end of the match seems misguided, and dangerous. Haunted Ground will let you get Insta-down during the game. Iron Maiden and Make Your Choice also open up interesting insta-down options. Devour Hope is also very effective. I get more traction out of these.

Survivors hate NOED more than they should. NOED is a gift to them, but they are usually too passionate about the subject to see straight. It means they have fought the Killer down one Perk all match. It means they have the opportunity to make sure it never goes off, and even if it does, they can still find and kill it before making a run on the gates. NOED going off doesn't ensure the Killer finds them, or downs them. Do you see my point? Survivors get all bent out of shape about it because they think it steals their victory from them. The problem is they haven't EARNED that victory until they get out of the match. They don't react this way to all the Perks I mentioned earlier (although they do the same thing) because of the timing. Their hopes are at their highest when they get that last generator up. Thus NOED hits them when they are most vulnerable emotionally.

If you manage to get a 2k then it's not so survivor biased as you say. Sounds like the perfect belanced map in the Devs eyes.

I got lucky. :) But again, to answer the original poster's question... I suspect they are dodging the map for the SAME reasons Survivors are choosing it. Nuff said.

It does feel like an astroturfing campaign, doesn't it? All of a sudden we're getting regularly flooded with threads like this when there was no interest in FNAF for years.

    Exactly.

  • Springtrap was a non-entity to me until I heard about him over here. So either I'm completely out of the horror loop (unlikely) or he doesn't reach the same iconic status of the Killers everyone knows. My own conspiracy theory is that the people who own the rights to Springtrap are always on this site trying to stir up support for the idea and create pressure on the company to try and acquire him. Think of it as the same kind of campaign studios do to try and win Academy Awards.

The bigger the perception of the demand, the more they can charge for the license. Me, I'd rather they spend that kind of money and attention on a Chucky or getting the rights to Jason, or Pinhead and the rest of the Cenobites.

It's one thing to have a new account with 0 posts make a new topic and complaining about DC penalties (after almost a month of it being out again). Sure maybe they finally got sick of it, went looking for a place to complain and found dbd's forum, instead of Reddit, Steam, etc. It's another to have a new account with 0 posts use the search function for topics about DC penalties and post about how bad they are, especially when they necro old posts.

Probably both, i.e. losers who make new accounts to complain, and losers who create bots to do it too. Losers gonna lose.

So you mean the fences that xeno mentioened? The Killer can just vault it too so what is the Point?

I don't think you are getting the big picture, or you don't understand how looping works. There is something called an infinite loop, wherein the Survivor can easily continue around it well beyond the normal 2-3 times. This means you either have to give up the chase as the Killer, or give up all the Generators. Haddonfield, currently, has these loops all over the place. It stacks wonderful window drops in as well, so Survivors who choose the map are usually loaded up with Balanced Landing and/or Lithe. It was a Survivor-tilted map prior to the Bug. It is a Survivor Stronghold now. :)

Me, I always play games out. I don't believe in disconnecting, and I'm certainly not going to stand around AFK. I'm trying to get to Rank-1 only playing Myers, so I fight for every Pip. I got stuck in Haddonfield the other day against an all Red Rank Squad. I considered it a major victory that I fought them to a draw and didn't lose a Pip. Hardest game I played the entire event.

  • @ILoveDemo said:

I don't know what's going on, but I've been trying to use my Haddonfield offerings for days. Every time (9 of 10 Games) the Killer Dc or is AFK. Is there a thing why they doing this?

Most likely for the same reason you are choosing it? :) You are picking Haddonfield because it is so weighted to the Survivor currently that it makes Ormond look Killer-friendly. I play it out when I pull Haddonfield, but I'm what you call a Try-Hard. I compete with myself.

Freddy is the most toxic killer and you wonder why people tbag.. I tbag against all freddy's because people only play him to get a (yeah a long, ) yet easy game.

You are a bad sport. Tea-bagging is obnoxious and says far more about YOU than it does the person you think is somehow in the wrong. People play Freddy, I suspect, for the same reason I play Michael Myers. They are fans of the film(s). It is dangerous to make assumptions about how/why someone chooses their Killer. Surely you know the old saying about assumptions?

Fair, but like I said, in the right conditions it'd still be far more powerful. It doesn't really matter, as we have no idea how they'll be reworked and any ideas are just speculation.

True enough. I just hope they follow the same logic they applied for Keys. I think it worked pretty well there.

  • @NomiNomad said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1725722#Comment_1725722

I mean, good idea on paper, but then Devour becomes much more powerful than a regular Mori, as that only needs 5 hooks, and grants the exposed effect. Sure, it's a Hex, but in the right map nobody will find or, or if you don't have Ruin/Undying they might think it's a trap hex. Part of me think's they'll just tie it to death hook. If a survivor is on Death Hook, you can mori them instead. Simple. I've even seen people wanting to make this idea base, which... I don't know about.

But we won't really know until they're reworked, so.

    Devour can be cleansed.

  • I personally hope they rework the Ebony Memento Mori (the only one with an issue) in the same style as the Key rework, except to tie it to Hooks, i.e. one must get (4) Hooks before it unlocks, and then can Mori one Survivor, and for each Hook after four it can Mori another. *But it isn't limited to someone who has been downed, merely the number. Thus;

    4 Hook = 1 Mori

    5 Hooks = 2 Mori

    6 Hooks = 3 Mori

    7 Hooks = 4 Mori

*Simple and guarantees a minimum of three more hooks than the current system.

  • @Triforcer said:

IT can transform (at any any time) into the 4 killers that the 4 survivors you are facing have respectively DCed most against.

How else will each survivor face his greatest fear??

This isn't a bad idea at all. Although I would have the system simply pick the Killer that the average of the Survivors have the WORST record against (rather than DC). Or in a chase he instantly can choose to change into the Killer that specific Survivor has the worst record again... and so on. :) Probably way too many calculations to make that work.

It would be best to just give Pennywise Killer the ability to choose which Killer to become.

  • Heh. Right now I have like sixty something Ebony Memento Mori built up and who knows how many of the other two types. I don't think the Mori really punishes SWF as much as the Killer as you get up in Ranks. It gets so hard to hold steady, let alone Pip that you can't use them willy-nilly. Using a Mori to take 4v1 to 3v1 right away is a useful tactic against a SWF but then you have to get all three hooks on the remaining three (usually) or you are going to lose a Pip for sure. It is a Catch-22.

  • I break the behavior down into three different types:

    1. Squatting. *This is what most people call face camping, where the Killer remains so close there is no way to do a safe rescue.
    2. Lurking: *This is where the Killer is hiding extremely close by out of sight of the Hooked and would-be rescuers.
    3. Camping: *This is where the Killer is making very short range patrols or circling the immediate area, sort of leaving and sort of not.

*I don't quantify proxy camping because that is part of the powers of specific people and doesn't require discussion. The problem is people lump all three of these things together when they are VERY different and are dealt with in different ways. Some are lucrative to the Killer when properly done, while others are terrible. I really wish we would not use a blanket term, but be specific. As it is hard to offer advice or comment on the topic when we aren't clear which of these, Squatter, Lurker, or Camper we are talking about.

  • I don't want compensation; I want a level playing field. I would like to see Solo and Team play in two ques. Just like Survivor and Killer, I expect most of us would play in both, i.e. with our team when logistics allowed, and Solo when not. I think that the Team play should require an additional Generator to power the gates and a 5th Perk be unlocked for a Killer. *This would be a good test for the start.

The problem isn't compensation. I don't need Scooby Snacks to play the game. I simply want the SWF 5th Perk (Comms) to be balanced.

I was playing my third ever games as Demogorgan and I was griefed so hard I went toxic.

The entire game they blinded me nonstop. 4 purple flashlights with extra batteries. I could barely do anything and I was getting so upset that I finally gave up on having fun and just downed them. Over and over and over. No hooks. No nothing, I must have done it for a good 3-4 minutes until they all disconnected then I hooked the last person.

I feel terrible for it. I really shouldn't have done it and I feel gross for being part of the toxic problem. I had sworn I wouldn't be like that but it just made me so incredibly annoyed. I get how people get so toxic in this game now, toxicity really really spreads so easily.

It sounds like you encountered a Bully Squad, so don't feel bad for giving them back what they came to serve you. Bully Squads don't come to play the game. They come to torment the Killer. One such squad entered a game my gal was playing (full Head On type Crew) and lured her to the Killer Shack so they beat up on her and get their jollies. Unfortunately for them, I was watching her play and she tagged me in.

Bully Squads are terrible for the game; they are often made up of a Smurfing Squad (potent Rank with some lowers to pull weak Killers), or they are all potent Rank who have dropped their Rank on purpose for their so-called fun. Don't feel bad about taking them down in the most humiliating, horrific way. I always do, and I always record them. They make great blooper reels later.

  • @eiredrake said:

This happens to me a lot. I'll having some dipshit player teabagging or otherwise acting like an ass in the exit gate area knowing that if I hit him he's still going to be able to crawl through the anti-killer fence even if they've been hit previously and are wounded. Many will actually stand at the fence and do it knowing that if I hit them they'll fall through. It's an excuse for them to act like idiots because they know there's nothing the killer can actually do to them. You can't pick them up because they fall beyond the fence.

not sure how to actually go about fixing this aggravating scenario but it happens to me like every third or fourth game. Maybe have it so that much like when you pick up a survivor and they can wiggle to get free if the killer hits them within say a meter of the goal line and they go down the killer can attempt to drag them back into the exit area to pick them up. Seems that would give them a fair chance to still escape while giving the killer a reason to actually persue them into the exit area rather than just assume the game is over, thus letting the players act like peckerheads.

Play Myers. Bring the Tombstone Piece. Don't use it during the match. Save it for the end if you think that the gates will be opened and you will have that scenario. They stand there for you to smack them and they get picked up and executed by his Mori on the Run. I've done it over a dozen times. It is always worth a laugh.

Haven't been winning much games lately, running hex ruin and hex undying but they're more or less useless most games. What happens usually is : i find a survivor, chase him for a normal amount of time, catch him and put him on a hook. Great, while I was doing that 3 gens have been done and my game is lost. I'm not the best killer but I feel like unless I catch a survivor in 10 seconds, I literally don't have time to prevent gens from being done. Any advice ?

I play them at Red Rank pretty much the same as I did before. I often throw in Thrill of the Hunt to buy me a little more time to get to the Totems they start working. I wish I had better advice for you, but the best I can offer is just don't sweat the small stuff. Make your chases work for you by herding them along the same route you want to patrol. Bring your nastiest stuff as Add-on(s) and put in maps if you have some that you think favor you. In the Red Ranks you are facing mostly SWF; this is sad but true. You have to assume they have eyes on everything, so do your best to manipulate that or mitigate it.

That is no challenge if its unfair for me. There is no way to see I improve if the enemys are always smarter than me.

That isn't entirely true though. I was annoyed when I hit the Green Ranks (It feels like forever ago) because started fighting Red/Purple combinations. Very rarely did I get an actual Green. I was flattered that the game thought I was ready for the "show" but annoyed because I didn't think that I was at all. Every game was a painful reminder of how much better they were than me. I did improve though. I improved a great deal and faster than I would have otherwise. The beatings are more embarrassing and humiliating, but the advancement accelerates. You get thrown into the deep and of the pool, and either drown or learn to swim.

Right now I'm Rank three and one good game from going to Rank-2. I only play Michael Myers as a Killer, and will continue to do so until I reach this goal. I assure you that Myers has a very hard time in Red Ranks, and pretty much every game I play is a SWF. It feels just like it did when I first hit Green. The key to not getting "tilted" or "triggered" is to focus on a long term goal. The immediate setbacks don't bother you as much. I wish I could claim to have come up with this wisdom myself, but I got it from Otz. Accept and expect to lose right now. Just go into the game fighting as hard as you can and see what you learn from it.

I assure you, in time you will be repaying these people with a stomping.

What are your thoughts? Same problem? Tips? How are you dealing with this?

You are looking at it wrong. I'm in the SAME boat as you. My drive to reach Rank-1 playing only Myers as a Killer is so painful and hard now that I can't adequately describe it. It will always be an understatement. You just enjoy the challenge.

Actually... ranks have zero sense in a game that is not supposed to be competitive, besides it's not working as intended so the devs could just remove it. Red ranks thinks of this game as competitive and when they are paired with a newbie they bully them, with no rankings there would be zero reason to bully another player since it doesn't matter, you don't have anything to brag about. With ranks it's like "look at me, I am red and you're yellow. I am far better than you" which causes toxicity in both sides.

That should give you a hint... it is competitive. :)

Just BP no pips. Give people the chance to try out new builds, new tactics, new combinations, obnoxious skins and just mess around without the fear of de-piping. If pipping wasn’t a concern, imagine how much more relaxed some of these games could be. Imagine without a pip hanging over your head how less toxic people would be. There would be a mutual understanding that in a non-ranked match people are going to be playing casually or trying things out. No need to be toxic toward someone if you know they’re probably running a weird build or just being silly.

I know it may reduce the “horror” aspect if you’re not scared of losing a pip, but I think it would deescalate some of the tension I see in these and other forums, and it would almost certainly bring players back who left.

This would NOT help. If anything it would terrorize you worse. The creepy weirdos who just get their kicks going after weaker prey (you know the types that Smurf or purposely lower their own Ranks on purpose). All you would be doing is holding up a sign that says, easy kills here. They would just "say" they are there for the casual game and proceed to curb stomp you. Sickos who refuse to play in their own fast lane.

Soy Boys? Oh, you are one of those who sees yourself as an Alpha Male type right? That is hilarious. If I had an nickle for every time someone said the game was dying... well... I wouldn't be rich but I would have a new car.

How come you get all the profile comments?!

I turned mine on like a month ago and I play Killer for several hours per day, and I've gotten exactly 1 DBD comment.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/WIQ2AFYO9BCU/image.png

Even the crazy guy who ranted at me until the chat server died didn't leave a comment. :(

Quick! Everyone rush his wall. :) I play Killer all the time too and nobody has bothered my wall with complaints about my play either. I get some hate mail about posts though.

I just cant stand the level of toxicity in this community anymore. I should not have to block messages from all people because I get too much hate mail. I should not be getting threats of being banned from PS4 network simply because I want to be nice every once and a while and let new players win so that they actually enjoy the game and want to engage in it further. I hate when I am the killer, people crouch rapidly to indicate a "teabag" meaning you're a trash killer, get off this game.

I really, really loved playing this game as Horror is one of my all time favorite genres but enough is enough. There's only so much abuse one can take. I'm sure I'll receive the same amount of hate in this post as I get in-game after I post it.

You guys have fun. I hope you continue to love this game as I once did. Peace be with you.

Why quit and give those losers another victory? I say ignore them entirely. Play the game and get your revenge in the match. Don't let it tilt you. Don't go red hot, go white hot. Channel it properly. I'm not going to argue with you and try to convince you to stay. That is all on you. I just don't know why you would let a vocal minority of losers drive you away from something you enjoy. Don't blame that on them. If you go, that's on you.

  • Ignore it. If it wasn't a latency issue they probably had a bad day while you had a good one. They couldn't admit they failed, so the natural tendency of some people is to come up with excuses to try and make themselves feel better. One would think a Rank-1 Killer could handle a Rank-7 1v1 in a chase, but I've managed to dodge Rank-1 Killers myself and I am:

    1. Only Rank 7-8 right now (I forget which it was a long Halloween).
    2. I suck at looping.

Sometimes you just do everything right when they are doing everything wrong. It happens to the best of Killers. I'm almost to my goal of Rank-1 with Myers and I still get thrown curve balls or screw up majorly. I rage about it but at MYSELF rather than the other Players or the game.

I've recently, for the first time, come to have all killers ans survivors prestige III level 50. It was hard as F. It took me three years. Now I'm getting every character it's own 3 perks at level 3, then all the basic perks then trapper/dwight perks to everyone and on and on.

But I've noticed that many people won't consider prestige even an option. To me it's been a ferocious accomplishment and I understand why people wouldn't even consider it other than 1 or 2 characters. Even The King, I've notived he has all perks on every character but a few of them he opted to let them not fully prestiged.

Those who won't do it. Don't you feel like you are missing something? Won't you ever think "man, I should've done it...". I'm genuinely curious.

Hrm. Let me put it this way, why on Earth would I flush hard-earned add-on(s) and offerings down the toilet just to make my Skin look all bloody? I don't care about cosmetics. As for the challenge, there is none. It is just a grind. Starting over without anything and going forward again is just a matter of matches and grinding. There is no accomplishment in achieving something that is a forgone conclusion.

If it means something to you, that is all that matters. It means nothing to me, so I don't do it. I will Prestige one character, that I don't care about to unlock the Achievements, but beyond that, I could care less. Besides, I'd rather be underestimated when I'm by the campfire.

As a Rank 1 Killer, the only perks that really determine the outcome of a game are gen slowdown and gen tracking perks.

Perks like Enduring, Spirit Fury, Brutal Strength, Bamboozle, I’m All Ears, Monitor and Abuse, Nurse’s Calling, Infectious Fright and even Sloppy Butcher just don’t pay off.

It kind of sucks that Killers have to be on top of gens and devoting most of their perk slots to them because it means they can’t have perks to help them get downs. So the role has a Catch 22 for lower skill Killers because they need help with their chases BUT bringing perks to help with chase pretty much guarantees a gen rush.

I agree by in large that this is the state of the Meta. The superstars (and we all know who they are) seem able to bring nearly any Perks they want (or no Perks) and get results. I just don't think they are a healthy way of determining the new normal. I consider Perks that either slow down the Gen-Rush or help me track Generator progress to be mandatory in my builds too. I lay the blame of the current Meta at the feet of the SWF. Their 5th Perk (Comms) makes it nearly impossible to balance things, at least not without strangling the poor Solo Survivors.

I've said time and time again, that Solo and Team need to be two different Ques, and I expect there are many Players that would be in both, sometimes playing as a Team with their friends, and sometimes doing Solo. They key thing is that the Team Que could be balanced separately without Perks, i.e. by adding an additional Generator requirement to power the Gates, and/or unlocking a 5th Perk for the Killers taking them on. Having this kind of additional, NON-PERK solution would allow Killers to relax and go for broader builds. It would even allow for a tweak and rewrite of some of those more oppressive Perks.

I'm a pragmatist and feel this is the only solution, long term, to the issue. But I am also certain that it will be the very last thing tried. We will have to be dragged kicking and screaming into it. :)

I don't understand the point of this system when the game isn't competitive unless you make it. Why punish players for leaving when instead you should be fixing the problems that make them leave. Not only that, but why not find ways to assist the remaining survivors such as automatically popping a gen or two for a DC or making it so that you can not lose pips if someone DCs if you DC yourself. This game needs to be more casual and have a lot less sweaty survivors and camping/tunneling killers who are the reason for DCs themselves. Survivors already lose pips for DCing so there shouldn't be any further punishment.

Because this game only functions when people log in and finish their matches. It is as simple as that. If you aren't going to play, then don't play. The world does not revolve around you. When you disconnect you inconvenience four other people. Why do you think that the game designers should feel obligated to redesign the system so you can be inconsiderate?

Its the busted reveal mechanic. I've seen him get so many free downs because of it. No fun facing a killer like that.

The fact of the matter is that there ARE exceptions being made. What use are rules if ambassadors and CM's don't have to live by the same rules? That's the reason of this whole debacle, the fact that some people seem to be above the law.

I can't speak to that because I don't know if anyone gets special treatment or not. I suspect you don't really know either, but assume or want to believe it. But you know what, it doesn't matter one bit. The rules we AGREED to abide by don't say anything about their enforcement. They only talk about OUR behavior. So the rest of it is MOOT. They only thing you have to ask yourself is:

    1. Did anyone force you to join this Forum? No? Ok; so you are CHOOSING to be here.
    2. Did anyone force you to agree to the rules? No? You chose to do it to get in here? Well, I guess that is on you.
    3. Does that agreement you agreed to indicate you get say? Does it guarantee adjudication? No? Why do you think you do then?

This is a black and white issue, open and shut. It doesn't matter why anyone is upset or outraged. It doesn't matter if their feelings are justified or not. We agreed to behave in a certain way. You (and anyone else) who feels this subject is worthy of some kind of protest or whatnot can (at anytime) go put up a Forum, a web page, stream videos, and complain about whatever you want to complain about however you like. How you do it here, however, requires you abide by the rules that YOU agreed to abide by. How is this a difficult concept?

The difference in our arguements is the fact that you wish to focus on my hyperbole because in general it gives you the moral highground while I argue the issue at hand.

There is no issue at hand. There is only your offensive comments. This Forum has rules. Everyone could look them up before opting in. Everyone can look them up now. All of us who are approved to post here had to agree to abide by them. Some people are choosing not to do so. They get warned (usually a couple times)and finally banned. That isn't an issue. They agreed to a certain level of behavior, and failed to meet it. You appear to think there should be exceptions made. That isn't how this works.

  • You lost the argument and all self respect the moment you started down this path in your previous posts. You have now demonstrated that you have no understanding of ethics or human decency. You seem incapable of distinguishing between people making a willing choice and agreeing (by formal contract) to abide by certain rules, and those who simply get persecuted for being born with a certain name, ethnic heritage, religious beliefs, and so on. The people being persecuted never signed any contracts. They didn't opt in. They are victims; you (and anyone else who chooses to break the rules of this Forum) are not. You diminish and demean the suffering of people actually undergoing persecution by trying to infer that the Moderators enforcing the rules here in anyway equates. How can you not understand this?

By all means, continue doing what you are doing. I expect you will get banned. There is literally nothing else I can say that makes you look worse and more tone deaf than you have done yourself. By all means, please continue to equate being shown the door to the Forum with Concentration Camps.

I dont equate, I merely argue the principles are the same. And this is a public forum, not some high end private club you are a part of. I have not yet broken any rules and my analogy is not offensive in the slightest. Your analogy however is wrong. I did not insult a community and then say haha JK, I presented an extreme example of the same thing happening here. The principle stands be it extreme or not and using said arguement is not offensive in the slightest. Its not apples and oranges in the grand scheme of all of this. Yes, no one is getting physically harmed or even mentally but they are getting silenced. I could make a different analogy and say this is like living in a communist country where going against the people in power be it just or unjust will get you a trip to jail either way.

No they are not. I'm not going to get the rhetorical sledgehammer out yet, but I am going to demonstrate WHY they are not the least bit the same. If you continue after I demonstrate this, then I will feel compelled to give you a proper lesson and at length. Your hyperbole inference basically discussed the persecution of the Jews (one would assume in Nazi Germany but anywhere would work) and implied that people didn't stand up to it because if they did they would be punished or affect their ability to remain in that community.

These are not the same because:

    1. Living in a town or country where you are born, raised, and your entire life is located is not the same as just some Forum where you one day chose to sign in (and agreed to abide by their rules) on a whim. One is not a choice, the other is a choice.
    2. Comparing enforcing the rules of the Forum to the persecution of Jews is tantamount to calling our Moderators murdering Nazis. The people being persecuted in your deeply offensive hyperbole never agreed to any rules. They never got a say. The people persecuting them are monsters. People who join this Forum did agree to the rules and thus these are apples and oranges.

I have left my own ethnic heritage out of this discussion, but I'm happy to bring it in and really get deep down on why this is horrific. Do you care to continue or are you willing to let this lie.

No, this isn't a "public" forum. There are posted rules and you had to agree to them to be approved to be in here.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1721692#Comment_1721692

Did you even read my post? Because it literally stated its was hyperbole and i emphasised it multiple times. This is a forum for a game where people can discuss stuff. People are getting banned ingame for things they say that the devs/mods dislike. Not only that the "ambassadors" of this game (fogwhisperers) bait people into saying ######### to get them banned by their CM friends while being granted immunity for doing the same thing because they are buddies with the higher ups. The arguement that "this is how the world works" which this post tries to make clear is so weak. Forums are made to both compliment or criticise the devs for decisions they make and have discussions about it. If they are going to ban everyone who doesn't shill for this game or has some valid criticism about the community and the state it's in due to community managers endorcing certain behaviour my point still stands. Yes I joined the forums and agreed to certain terms but if devs wont deal with concerns voiced on a platform that is literally there for that there is no point in this at all. Not being able to voice your opinion in fear of getting banned from a community of a game you still play and are a part of is opression 101.

Using offensive hyperbole and then saying you recognize it is hyperbole does NOT excuse the poor behavior. That is like calling someone a racial epithet and then just saying, "just joking," or saying something obnoxious and adding a smiley face to try and cover your tracks if you are called on it. The Forum has rules. Nobody forces you to stay on this Forum. You agreed to said rules. If you don't like them, you can leave. Do not equate this to real world persecution. It offensive beyond words.

  • I dislike that his power seems extremely inconsistent. I can be staring him right in the eyes and not knock him out of it sometimes (and thus get exposed). Other times I will have him in my peripheral vision and somehow I'm knocking him out of it. I think he needs a tweak or a rework as currently it is really hard to deal with him since I have no idea where to look.
