I think you misread my comment. The every match was players trying to unhook themselves just before rescue not breakdown bug. I even said I had yet to see breakdown used in a match.

You are correct; I did misread that. You have my apology for the misunderstanding on my part. Sadly, I see Breakdown a bit too often for my taste. While I'm confident that the DEV will fix it next patch, and I'm not calling for them to somehow fix it immediately, I do find it annoying that I have to waste time every so many matches bleeding people out. Such games are slow, tedious, and don't earn me much in the way of BP. More often than not, a Brutal Killer i the best one can hope for. :)

I don't want my matches to be hard. I like being nice and I like playing suboptimally.

Unfortunately even with this attitude, the game has seen fit to assign me rank 1. Gotta play scummy to not get bullied sometimes. I do not enjoy this. Would rather not have to do it every game

And that is why the Custom Game option exists. You can play as often as you want with other people of the same view. My problem with your attitude is that it comes with the expectation that everyone should be playing "nice" or at least how you define it. That is unreasonable. The expectation in the open matches, of a PvP game, is that everyone is going to give 100%. I have no doubt that you can, with very little effort, find plenty of people to play custom matches with you and have everyone on the same page for what you all feel is acceptable and not.

And I'm not being snide or trying to pick a fight with you. I'm merely pointing out that your expectations are unrealistic and unreasonable in the general matches. They are perfectly reasonable if you get together with friends and play a custom game.

  • Should the game have more objectives? I think "should" is a strong word, but I do think having a wider variety would make the game more interesting. Right now there are two:

    1. Repair Generators
    2. Cleanse Totems

The first one is mandatory if you want to get out alive, and the second is optional but clearly the DEV intended for us to be doing them. Given how complex the interactions of any change are in balance and relative power, I wouldn't hold your breath for major objective changes until the day we get Dead By Daylight Mark II, when brand new code has been built from the ground up.

  • Come to think of it... I have over two hundred Tombstone Pieces. Hrm. I could just bring them along and not use them unless I see the exploit happening. Then the kid's gloves come off. Yeah... sounds like a good use of the damn things. Takes less time than having to bleed them out.

This. It's like the trying to unhook self just before rescue thing - I never saw it, people started making posts complaining about it and now it's every match. I've personally not had anyone running Breakdown in my lobbies, I've just seen posts here talking about the bug.

Every match? No. I see it in about ever 5th or 6th match. I just slug them and make them all bleed out, no exceptions. The reason you see a lot of posts about it is there are a lot of people playing the game. The relatively moderate number of people running into it come and complain. And there are more people abusing the exploit/bug now simply because they heard about it.

My advice to any and all Killers running into it is just slug them and make them bleed out. The punishment fits the crime. Hell, there are Killers that do that every damn match anyway, you might as well do it once in awhile too. :)

  • The bigger, more painful, question to ask is.... am I the damn Solo stuck in with a 3-Person SWF. If so, you have no reason to assume any altruism on their part that involves any real risk. Sadly, they will only save you if it is 100% safe, so they can get those sweet points and steps toward an emblem. If it is not safe, you are the sacrifice they are willing to make because you aren't truly one of them.

One of the great tragedies of SWF is the damage it does to the Solo experience. I suspect, the impact on Solo players is even more harsh and painful than it is on Killers. Trust and cooperation in the Solo Queue is at an all time low, and that is because a large number of matches aren't really Solo anymore. Most of those people in there are a SWF, and you are their Red Shirt.

  • @YOURFRIEND said:

Good. Killer is stressful enough as it is. I don't wanna play against sweat squads every single game.

If they got it to work, chances are you would be facing people on your own level. Does that mean there would be no "easy" games? Sure. Doe it mean you are going to constantly have to sweat and fight from behind every match? Doubtful. It all comes down to how we are defining a "sweaty" game. Me, personally, I want my matches to be hard. There is no value in the victory if the outcome wasn't in contention.

I define (although I hate the term) a "sweaty" game as one where you are clearly outmatched, are fighting from behind the entire time, and are just hoping to minimize how badly you lose. Games like that are good for you, once in a while, as they help you learn, but I agree that playing in them constantly can be a blow to one's self esteem. :)

A hard game is not necessarily a "sweaty" game. A hard game just means you and your opponents are on par with one another and you have to force mistakes out of your opponents, rather than just getting free ones. Nobody should be getting easy games, EVER. Why? Because if you are getting an easy game, it means your poor opponent(s) are the one stuck in the "sweaty" version. It means the matchmaking was bad. They should not have been in the ring with you. Does this make sense?

So, for my own part at least, I HOPE they can make MMR work. I just don't think they can.

I was on Hawkins. There were at least 3 hooks near me. He downed a survivor before me and left them on the ground until the very last second and picked them up and hooked them. He went around the map and looked for hatch and closed it. It was my first down against the killer and I had flip flop but that’s about it. I was never a target of the killer as he went for everyone else and got sacrifices. I don’t know what I did other than play the game.

Hrm. I think your memory might be playing you false. So this Killer singled YOU out? He hooked everyone but you? And you just happened to have Flip Flop? I'm not saying Killers slugging to watch people bleed out doesn't happen; of course it does. What I'm saying is that I suspect you are remembering things incorrectly. I think you slipped the shoulder once in the match due to Flip Flop and the Killer decided not to risk it.

For the record, I only let people bleed out if I find them abusing the exploit/bug for Hooks. And even that is a NEW development, because the bug is relatively new. All that being said, I agree with another poster here. We don't really know what the Killer's motivations were. We don't know if you are portraying this match accurately. The word "Toxic" is pretty much meaningless these days, as it is applied by everyone to nearly anything they don't like. I advise against using the term, and pretty much ignoring anyone who throws it around willy-nilly.

  • I have one for when we get Chucky... I think he is small enough and should be able to open and hide in Lockers. Moreover, I think he should be able to teleport between them, i.e. go to any unoccupied one. :) I also think he should be able to place Chucky Dolls, doppelgangers of himself around the map that sit there like an inanimate doll... and that he should be able to do it too. While he is sitting there, he has no Terror Radius or Red Stain. So you don't know if that is a regular Good Guy Doll or Chucky. :)

Dear mods, don't close the post just because it's a theme you don't like. This has to be addressed and changed. I would be happy to hear your opinions down below.

Posts gets closed, deleted or just moved away where nobody can see it when the mods are not okay with it. That's normally a good thing but here it's just wow...

    Example one: Naming

Yeah I understand that naming players or content creators shouldn't be done but...posts getting deleted when you talk about devs. If you believe it or not dear mods but when a dev is toxic to his costumers we are allowed to talk about it.

Example two: The fog whispers program

I made a post a few days ago and it got instantly closed. Reason? Negative Theme... Dear mods not everything is made out of sugar and rainbows in this world. Themes can be positive and negative.

I always find posts like this endlessly amusing. Who do you think pays for the upkeep and hosting of this Forum? Why should they pay for you to badmouth them? This is THEIR place, and only exists because they operate under the outdated notion that video games require a Forum. If they were to follow my advice, the only thing this Forum would be for is teasers, news, reporting bugs, and all that jazz. These endless opinions and screeds don't belong here (mine included). It isn't censorship because NOTHING prevents you from starting (and paying for) your own Forum called "What I Don't Like about BEhavior" where you can say anything you want. You can even make your own rules therein. Do you see my point? If anything the Moderators, the DEV, and BEhavior are extremely tolerant of the people who whine here endlessly. I don't have near the patience they do, so it impresses me to no end.

LOL, that's why DBD losing players .bla bla bla,You should learn this , you should learn that. OK , so a basicly question: I think what you said means when survivor face the camp and focus ,they need to cost time to LEARN IT and STUDY IT. So what about killer camp and focus? give me a time. 1 hour or 2 hours to learn it? Study camp and focus , yes ,or maybe 3 ? A 500 hours survivor face camp and focus, how long will he/she alive when he/she left the hook?.If I play it 2 hours 1 day, I will cost 250 days , that's a year , and I think if this 500 hours guy alive 20 sec , he is good. So for him , 1 min game for 1 year. lol . And listen, he is a single player, no mate. BOOM, delete and see ya. Hey hey hey, show me some really skill not tombstone face the hook. lol

This game isn't right for everyone. I play Killer and Survivor, and statistically I face the same number of Killers who employ Camping and Tunneling as anyone else. How is it I get by just fine? Could it be that I simply take the required steps and own my problems? Complaining about how other people play and asking the DEV to fix your problems is not a productive solution. Tackling the problem yourself is the only meaningful choice because the only person you have power over in this situation is YOURSELF. So again, there are tactics and strategies which will help Survivors. If they can't be bothered spending the time in grade to get good at the game, then they should move on to one they enjoy enough to do the work. This entitled expectation that the game should be easy boggles my mind.

All i seem to get in my games are Blights & Huntress. Yesterday I had 8 Blights...That's really abnormal don't think i've played the same killer that much before. Then I had 6 Huntresses with the odd Ghostface thrown in between those games...Just seems i'm going against the same 2-4 Killers everyday

Yes. I dabble in a few Killers now and then. I'll play Trapper and sometimes Demo when I get a wild hair. But for the most part I play the same Killer all the time. When I'm a Killer, 99% of the time I'm Myers. Heck, I'm more specific than that; most of the time I'm a Spooky Myers Main. I just like the challenge of playing Scratched Mirror + Boyfriend's Memo. Sure it gives me a lot of information, but I'm slow. Of late, I've largely stopped putting in map offerings. I call doing this "riding the lightning" and take whatever comes down the pipe. It is actually pretty fun, but then again, I like HARD, sweaty games.

This is just a mental health PSA.

So, I just figured out what TTV in survivors names means (yeah, I know) and played against a team of twitch streamers a couple of nights ago.

The survivors all escaped but it was a fun match and all but one was on their last hook so I thought it would be fun to see the match from the survivor side. Big mistake. Twitch streamers are really mean.

The streamer posted the full night on his channel and they just were the worst. Apparently I deserve to be put on a "registry with sex offenders" because I ran tinkerer. I am a (bad word) because I am rank 1 (I didn't make that judgement call, I don't even know how to run loops, it isnt my fault the game says I'm rank 1).

They acted like everything successful I did was an example of my moral failings, and I didn't deserve any hits i got or hooks, but also that I was moron when I made mistakes.

They were running OoO, playing with perfect communication and stream 6.5 hours every night about.

Like why have that toxic attitude? It's like a pro football team smashing a bunch of high school players, calling them (bad words) for losing but when they fumble screaming at these kids that it isnt fair since they are wearing red jerseys.

So, don't watch past Twitch streams. Live in your head that the people you are playing with are kind and just having fun like you. Twitch streamers, I hope you are entertained.

Fyi- I play on console so no post game chat. I now see how that might be for the best. Oh, and yes they tbed but everyone does, I don't take that seriously.

I got the pleasure of watching my gal play against a Twitch team this morning on Shelter Woods. They were purposely playing the Jeff Perk to abuse the bug/exploit. I'm sure they thought the were going to have a good old time. As the hooks went down they started running her in the corner where she could never hook anyone. I simply commented from my chair... "slug them all... let them bleed out." She did. I'm sure it made wonderful viewing. I can only imagine the cursing and crap they were calling her on their little stream. She asked me, "is this what you do when you see people doing this?" I said, "yep... every time. People come in and start exploiting that bug... everyone gets slugged and allowed to bleed out slow in the dirt."

That would screw me over completely as I currently use it with Resilience to repair faster. I don’t want to have to get downed to be able to use it.

You are missing the point of WHY I suggest the change. If you have to go down once normally before it activates, the Killer does NOT know you have No Mither. That means they might just slug you now and then and you get the benefit of having No Mither. :)

As it stands, if you start the Match wounded, the Killer knows, automatically, that you have it and they don't slug you. They are going to pick you up and hook you anyway all game long. The change may require you to activate it, but on a good note, the Killer doesn't know.

  • @Yaassin_q8 said:

Yes but slightly, when playing against 3-4 swf

Their map offerings should not work and the perk "object of obsession" should not work when in a 3-4 Swf.

No, they don't need to be Nerfed. What needs to happen is Solo and Team need to be separated into different Queues. The Killer fighting against a SWF needs a 5th Perk Slot opened up, only available in these Team Matches to offset the SWF's 5th Perk (Comms). This should be tested for a bit to see if it is enough; it might be. If not, another objective, i.e. a 6th Generator can be added for SWF teams.

*Even if they didn't break the Queues apart, they could simply set the system to give the Killer the 5th Perk Slot whenever 3+ people enter from a Team Lobby. Problem solved.

  • The only thing that has to be done with No Mither is the following:

    1. No Mither doesn't activate until after being downed normally (two hits or an Insta-Down).
    2. Then it functions like it does now for the rest of the match.
  • @Cpt_Obviousss said:

Can you please do something against killer who hard camp and hard focus ?

These players are so cancer. There is absolutely no fun playing with then and they are more and more

You and your fellow Survivors in the match have all the tools you need to deal with these obstacles. Let me stress that thee are IN GAME problems, and you must solve them with IN GAME solutions. I don't have the energy to write you an essay but it suffices to say that all the information you need can be found on Youtube, in articles, and on Podcasts. You and your peers can learn to make safe rescues, take protection hits, swap hooks, use the best Perks, learn to Loop, and so on. I hate to be cliche and say "get good" but in this case, it bears repeating. Stop blaming other people for YOUR problems, and stop asking the DEV to solve your problems.

Hiya guys!, hope you're day and matches are going well ❤

So I have a question, I purchased Deliverance? With my shards last week, and its come up on fengs blood Web? ... seeing as I'm a blonde chick playing (literally ) I was wondering if it's worth me running? And what it actually benefits me for?... also Lithe?... I seem to be diving through the windows and still getting grabbed 😂... so would lithe benefit me in a way of just having that slight run in a chase?... I do enjoy a killer chasing my dear ol feng mins knickers as its great fun and gives my other team a few minutes to sort the gens or heal?... but I feel a bit sluggish when vaulting? Will that help? Or is it pointless. Never run these perks before so need some advice for my yellow rank ass 🤭😉

    Thankyou my darlings 😘❤

Deliverance is a great Perk but it is always a gamble. If you get hooked before you save someone, you played down a Perk. It is particularly good in a team you play with regularly. I like to get my save early to activate it, and then work like a dog on Generators. When the time comes, I will get the Killer after me and bury them in some deep corner where the Generators are already done. I want them as far away from everyone else as I can get them. Then I can just wait till they are half way back before I get off the hook. This maximizes your teammates time on whatever Generators (and gates) are remaining. Just lower your expectations; the Perk is not one that is plug and play. You have to practice with it and learn to apply it tactically.

Many solos take it because they don't like relying on their teammates. I understand this logic, but that isn't putting it to the best use. Just remember, if you are going to run it, you are probably going stealth and working your ass off to stay off the Killer radar until after that first save.

You should be proud and happy with the outcome. If you did what you describe, you won the game for your team. I'd be pleased as punch if I wasted a Killer's time for 5 Generators.

  • I haven't found Pig anymore toxic than any other Killer. For the longest time I never got out alive against Pig; now I do. It is just time in grade.

  • @killashlie said:

The doctors power to shock survivors within range and show their aura gets me and my entire team murdered every time unless the killer is purposely not trying to kill us. No other killer has a perk even similar to it and there’s no way around the doctors power, no way to counter him once he starts a chase you’re guaranteed dead. I think the aura should be removed for the killer and all killers because it’s not fair that they are generally faster already and they don’t even have to look for us as long as the doctor has that power. Please remove it , it makes the game suck. I deal with the penalty at this point because I refuse to lose all of my items to the doctor every round I play against him.

There are plenty of counters to the Doc. Avail yourself of the videos and articles. I have faith you and your team can overcome this obstacle.

  • I think they should:

    1. Remove the Tier-3 requirement.
    2. Tie the ability to Mori to hooks.
    3. At (4) Hooks the 1st Mori unlocks. It can be used against anyone, whether they have been hooked or not.
    4. One more Mori unlocks with each hook.
    5. Thus, it takes 7 Hooks minimum to do a 4 Person Mori.

This would also make the Tombstone Piece worthwhile in all the Myers Builds. Judith's Tombstone already takes forever to power up and slows you down further. I say leave that one the way it is now.

That just kinda sounds like playing the game to me.

It is just playing the game. You and I are in agreement there. And if I knew the level of my opponents in a reliable way I might bring it out more often. Sadly, I don't know when I'm play Tournament Level SWF, and it seems overkill to use it on Solos or normal teams. I don't have a moral problem with using it, more an aversion to the endless salt. :)

I don't really count this whiole Breakdown situation, as that's just an answer to a pretty substantial bug. But beyond that, I'd rather just run cakes, BPS, or Hollow Shell to mitigate the bloodpoint loss.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2145805#Comment_2145805

That sounds like it gets easily rekt by gen rushing, so I don't agree that it's devastating.

It depends on how you do it. If you Face Camp, sure... you are asking to lose. But if you continue your normal pressure, with more short patrols you will invite the initial rescue, perhaps even two. And then you just do your normal thing but always pivot back to intercept the one going for the hook and they will break off to avoid farming. You can play a pretty good game of keep away and usually tie up two out of the unhooked three. Remember, I don't have to be good enough to get there, just dissuade the rescue until I want them to do it.

All I know is I tested it out six times in a row, against pretty good teams, and got the same result six times in a row. If you commit to the strategy of taking it to a 3v1 early game, and use the Mori to do it, you can make it happen. I wasn't a fan of how they changed the Mori because I think it leads to people either not using them at all, or using them rattlesnake dirty. I tested the theory, it worked for me. Once I knew it worked, I stopped doing it. I've run into the odd Killer using the tactic when I play Survivor too.

  • @TAG said:

This thread feels several months too late. Moris ain't worth squat now. The only thing they're mildly useful for is playing around DS during death hook and playing around being rescued by another Survivor during death hook.

Well they CAN be devastating. You just have to play rattlesnake dirty, i.e. hook the first person... play just enough keep away that they go to 2nd Stage, allow the rescue and Mori off the hook reducing it to a 3v1 early. It is seriously mean, but it does work. I just get enough salt playing moderate that I don't need the aggravation. :)

  • Yeah, lighten up. I KNOW about Tuesdays and I forget. You can't blame someone who doesn't know about it for being miffed. :)

  • I'm not sure how YOU define "sweats" so I'm not going to try and guess. People playing hard and doing their best is hardly a crime. I do it every match. Granted, tournament squads that are a SWF, loaded to the max, and maximizing every movement can be quite the challenge. Mori would be nice to use against them, but we don't know we are facing such a squad until too late to put it in... now do we?

  • @redsopine00 said:

Simple as im asking because I do if survivors wanna play sweaty then so will i

I think it's dumb too that we get a ban for it. They should have something to help determine the difference between someone disconnecting on purpose and someone being disconnected by something.

The coding for that is a bigger order than you think. Is it possible for them to know when maintenance is coming? Yes. Do they know that everyone who just got kicked off was not a normal DC? Yes. Are they going to spend the man hours and resources to try and fix it? No, I doubt it. I don't disconnect of my own will, so the five minute ban is no big deal. It is annoying but it will drop off long before something else disconnects me down the road. What I hate is the stuff I lose, the add-on(s), map offerings, etc.

I was in a promising game too, a right proper Bully Squad sporting lots of flashlights and everything. I had even decided to go in without Lightborn to make it extra challenging. Alas, I'll just have to hope I pull them again sometime.

  • Sadly, yes... it probably was the Maintenance... but that doesn't change the fact that all of us in the game get booted, a short ban and lost whatever we put into that match. :) I'm just going to have to remember not to play on Tuesday nights.

It did the exact thing to me just five or so minutes ago.

  • Neither? I don't think either particularly fits DbD. The only exception would be if you made RAMBO the Killer, and the Survivors some local hick-town Sheriffs. An insane, killing machine Vietnam Vet with PTSD might work.

  • @Sluzzy said:

Killers are still winning most of the time on the map so it still doesn't have enough.

Sluzzy you must be, without a doubt or argument, the worst DbD Survivor Player in the game. As far as I know, I've never pulled you into one of my matches. I base my theory on the fact that every single post you make is about how Killers are winning all their matches, how this or that you ran into was too powerful, and how Survivors need more. Your perception of the game is so distorted that it is like a Fun House mirror. The only explanation is that you have zero Skills; no, let me correct that. You have negative Skills, i.e. when you enter a match you don't just fail to achieve anything, you must be dragging down every other Survivor with you.

Seriously, taking your posts as evidence, you have never won a match, gotten out alive, or seen a balanced map, Killer Perk, or Add-on. They are all OP and broken in your eyes. With that in mind, since the rest of us do NOT have your problems, the only possible explanation is you are TERRIBLE at this game. Have you considered Minecraft?

And what would you LIKE us to say in response to your silly thread? The change was long overdue, you are late to this party, and it isn't changing back. So, advising you to "get over it" is probably the only useful advise anyone can give you besides, find another Perk you like better.

Doesn’t matter if it’s an April’s fool thing or not, from what I’m seeing DS now seems like a joke.

Then don't take it? There are lots of Perks; I'm sure you will find something else you like better.

  • I do just fine on that map with my Myers, both Spooky build and Maniac. I've seen Trappers get easy 4Ks there too, where I was one of the victims. Hag does just fine there and so does Freddy. The map is actually small enough that the Killer can, if he/she applies oneself, keep up excellent Generator pressure. A little triage at the start, ruling out those Generators you don't think are worth fighting for does wonders. Then you focus on those you mean to patrol the whole game and pressure those Survivors into dropping pallets, i.e. do NOT respect the pallet. Take your lumps early so they take their hooks later on when they STILL have to get those Generators but all the pallets have been used. Perks which I find work particularly work well on Gideon are:

    Corrupt Intervention (works well everywhere)

    Pop Goes the Weasel

    Oppression

    Tinkerer

    Dark Devotion

    Trail of Torment

*Basically, any Perk that makes you undetectable (however briefly) works wonders there due to the small size of the map.

  • @NekoAndromeda said:

While this is primarily a streamer issue, it affects all players involved in the games where it matters. Stream sniping is a cheating issue that could be easily remedied by removing the killer’s ability to see the survivor’s usernames beforehand.

I think it is an everyone issue and I agree that names should not be revealed until the end of the match. This would prevent those cheeky cheaters who just keep dodging lobbies until the Killer they are working with confirms they just entered his through whatever method of chat they rely upon. There is no reason, whatsoever, for anyone's names to be in the general Lobby. People who know each other, can muster in their own Lobby first so they won't have a problem. The moment they go to the main Lobby, no names. :)

    Ok...

    My mind is spinning here.

Since Gideon Meat Plant’s rework it’s been a semi frequent topic posted here, killers complaining about the amount of pallets on this map.

And I just don’t get it.

What exactly is bothering many of you with these pallets?!

Yes, there Is a large overall volume of pallets.

Yes, Gideon probably also has the highest amount of “god pallets”/pallets that absolutely HAVE to be kicked/broken in the entire game.

But do you know what else this map has?

    • Very few actually safe vaults. Sure the few safe vaults that do exist are extremely safe vaults, but they’re so few.
    • Pretty much every structure/loop with these pallets that are being complained about almost always quickly lead chases back to gens. Gens you could/can quickly switch up targets on. If you are allowing yourself to be lead to areas where gens are already finished, that’s on you.
    • There are many dead ends in this map if a killer is smart about which breakable walls are left intact.
    • This map very quickly becomes a death trap for survivors once many of these pallets are gone, because there are so few loops with good vaults. And most of these pallets get dropped very quickly by survivors.

Since the rework of this map, I’ve had only ONE terrible, terrible match as killer on this map, and that’s only because it coincided with going up against one of the most brutally hardcore teams I’ve gone against in recent memory.

This map is fine. I think many of you are just succumbing to the psychological effect of thinking about the total volume of pallets, rather than being objective about how quickly this map becomes absolutely abysmal for survivors against a killer that keeps a cool head.

Yeah, I don't get it either. I haven't found Gideon to be broken and unplayable as Killer. Too the contrary, it is still one of my favorite maps. There was a short period of adjustment, but overall.... I actually think it is the most balanced of the indoor maps.

What a tough killer map. I ######### hate it. Just another game I get my nuts caved in and leave with two bbq stacks. I'm sure for certain killers it's maybe a half way decent map. I've yet to find out which ones though.

I think I'm honestly better off DCing or going afk. I just get obliterated each time.

Attitude is everything. If you go into the game assuming that you are going to lose, you will. The Game (Gideon) can be played with nearly any Killer but you have to know the map forward and backward. It is chock full of shortcuts and ways to drop in on Survivors and/or cut them off. If you try to chase them around in traditional looping style, you will eat a lot of pallets. Don't do that do that. You don't have to do that. The map is small. Pallets aside, it isn't particularly friendly to Survivors either.

There are a couple of things to know about the map:

    1. It doesn't have near as many pallets as when they first released it. They shadow nerfed quite a few.
    2. It actually has a lot of unsafe pallets, particularly upstairs.
    3. Many of the Generators have blind spots and/or are a pain for the Survivor to get away from until done.

Smaller maps allow you to keep up Generator pressure easier, as long as you know your routes. Just decide early which Generators you are NOT going to fight for and narrow your patrol area. The Survivors will eventually have to fight you on the ground you want. Early game, get them to drop the pallets in those areas. That way, late game, they have nothing but dead zones to navigate.

I have almost 1000 hours in the game which is not a lot I guess. I can no longer play fun builds at red ranks and meta perks on other killers is not working recently either. Even when I lose I black pip so it is a never-ending cycle forcing me to play spirit if I decide I want kills.

I've no clue; I play Myers almost exclusively unless I get a wild hair. I seem to do just fine at the Red Ranks. Pick someone other than Spirit and keep playing them until you can perform at the level you want. There are no shortcuts in this game. While there is some cross over for all Killers, you need to spend a certain amount of time in each one to get good.

If it were a system that would actually work and not be abused I'd be all in favor of having a dedicated "thread of shame" for survivors who work with the killers. Not even so much to shame them, but to let other players know that hey, when you're in the queue with these people, just bail and look for another match.

There is nothing worse than survivors working with the killers. Nothing. It fundamentally betrays the entire purpose of the game, thus ruining it for everyone else but themselves. I ######### hate 'em.

Agreed; there is no lower form of life than Survivors that work with the Killer. Killers who allow it and play along are almost as bad. They are pathetic cheats.

This addon despite fitting michaels lore (michaels just like "wait why hook you when i can just kill you") obviously is one of the most busted addons and is probably guaranteed gonna be changed in the michael myers addon pass. Now i personally have 20 of them and i do find the idea cool (why i like judiths tombstone) i understand killing someone without doing anything is pretty unfun. So im just interested to see some ideas people could have for its rework. Making it only able to mori once is maybe an idea but that doesn't change the just killing someone outright making it a 3v1.

    I would do it thus:

At 3 Hooks the first Mori Unlocks (It can be be used against anyone hooked or not)

*Then an additional Mori unlocks with every hook. This means a four Mori results requires at least seven hooks. I would also remove the Tier requirement for being in any particular one since it is now tied to hooks. I would also remove or reduce the speed penalty significantly.

What is your answer to 4 survivors with breakdown, unbreakable and no mither?

I can't speak for the guy you asked, but I'm just going to Mori them all on the run. :) I KNEW I'd have a use for these Myer's Add-on(s) someday.

If any of you have seen any of my latest discussions, you may have seen that i was not in the best of moods when i wrote them. My behavior was led by frustration and i am deeply sorry to everyone.

To the community: I'm sorry if i have been harsh, rude or offending to you. I am always hoping to make friends on this game and i have made many mistakes on my side. I just feel sometimes the community hates me even though they don't know me and i hope to be seen as a part of this community in the future. So i promise, in future discussions, to try and keep a cool head.

To the Devs: I'm deeply sorry if i have been rude or demanding towards you, mostly about the Trickster buffs. I hope for you to still see me as part of the community. I just worry about the game's future or current status sometimes and i want to help by sharing suggestions and feedback. I hope you understand and forgive me.

I hope to still be part of the games future and to see everyone playing well in the Fog and i'm deeply excited for the RE chapter. #Nemesis please XD

You realized you have a problem and you took steps to address it. Just make sure you don't backslide, as then you will look a 100x worse. :) Everyone gets frustrated and demanding from time to time. Owning up to it is hard, and keeping those tendencies down is even harder. I have faith in you.

  • Yep... a very good work around of the problem built right in.

as i said in a different thread- I completely agree they should disable it until it's fixed.

I hadn't see that post yet, and I'm glad we agree. I haven't even run into it yet and it sounds horrible. I think I'm going to start using my plethora of Tombstone Pieces and Judith's Tombstones... just bringing them along just in case I see anyone try to pull it. :)

What if this is an unannounced buff? When was the last time a survivor wiggled free in your matches? Hooks are way too close together and I would love it if Breakdown caused permanent damage.

Did you say something Sluzzy? We have heard your broken record so often that all I hear now is that "MWABLAHS MUWAA" sounds the adults make in a Charlie Brown cartoon.

i agree they shouldve put an in-game warning on it, but I just want to show the distinction that they've never banned for perks, just add-ons.

True, but all this debate aside, if this bug is real, they need to disable the Perk as an option until the fix it. They disabled an entire map, Mother's Dwelling, for far less.

  • I've been playing a LOT of Survivor to try and finish my Rift (I did all the Killer ones early) so I haven't seen this bug in action yet. I suppose I could tap into my Scrooge McDuck vault and start using some of the 300+ Tombstone Pieces.... or 300+ Judith's Tombstones for laughs. Hook you? Why on earth would I hook you?

To be fair, back then 3 minute gens weren't the norm. You actually could play DbD in a relatively normal way.

And I cede that point willingly, that is wasn't the norm. But it was a problem that wasn't going to go away, and in my view would get to exactly where we are now, and sadly... we ain't seen nothing yet! The longer a SWF plays together, the better they get. The longer Solo strangles, the more SWF we get. It is a feedback loop and until it is addressed... well... we both know the score.
