I was hoping for news on the next patch.

It should be noted that Botany Knowledge affects Self Care heals.
Reducing the time from 32s to 24s.
It’s in a much better place than it was before, and there are many more perks in dire need of assistance.

I guess I should post this on every “ban thread”

I just got BHVR'd again.

Was mangled giving to much of a penalty, or to little?

Love:
- Experiencing both sides of asymmetrical gameplay
- Testing different perk builds
- Playing with my friends
Playing a somewhat competitive survival game with my friends has been great. Plus being able to simply queue for the opposing side is a very welcome feature to myself. Trying out different builds and experimenting to see what works has always been something exciting for me.
Hate:
- The community
- Any form of RNG or inconsistency
- The lack of change
After my first few weeks with the game just as survivor, I decided to delve into the killer side of things. And well, in my first week of playing killer, I received more hate mail from people on DBD in 1 week than all my years of Xbox Live career combined.
Coupled with the numerous random or inconsistent elements of gameplay, and the horrendously slow updates compared to most other modern titles. Suffice to say, the game and the dev team still have a lot of kinks to work out for me personally.
-
I don’t see a huge problem with this.George_Soros said:If they release a new survivor perk that does that in next chapter, I'm fine with it: then you have to sacrifice a perk slot for this information. But for free? Noooooo. NOED is a decent perk, though not very good (too easy to counter), an ability like this would just toss it to the trash perk pit.
It further reduces the major gap of Solo survivors and SWF, and besides even without getting the NOED effect, the game was slowed down and you still benefited from it.
Certainly, the last thing Behavior should do is release a perk for this. That way they can begin to let rest their title “King of Bandaids” and actually start fixing problems. -
I’m pretty sure he means that the game should automatically struggle, and that the only button prompt should be to “give up” or commit suicide.Milo said:@George_Soros said:
Agree. Mashing space must go. Just have a suicide option for those who wanna give up.You can suicide on hook.... Just don't press the space button.

It fits the Perk and doesn’t seem unreasonable, I’m fine with this.

From what they’ve said in the past, SWF is here to stay and probably won’t receive any direct adjustments.
It’s more likely that they’ll work towards shortening the gap between Solo and SWF, like they did with the obsession change.
And then while they do that, they provide supplemental Killer buffs. -
Speeding up the kicking animation and increasing the regression rate should do the trick.
-
Survivor and Killer earn about the same experience.
However since the Survivor games are shorter, they’re better for the XP per minute.
There is a first game of the day bonus for Killer and Survivor. So to maximize XP, you’d probably have to play at least one Killer game, and then straight Survivor. -
Console frames having been dropping more and more since the Clown patch.
If I recall, they said there’s going to be an optimization patch in December, with smaller patches supposedly helping along the way.
Although, I haven’t seen any smaller optimization patches coming out, or at least they’re not noticeable.
Just sucks, that whenever the FPS issues are brought it, it’s replied with “its coming in December” since it will have been 6 months since they’ve started. -
Actually yeah, I missed the part where you have to be within 24 meters for the aura.Salty_Pearl said:@ModernFable said:
Lasting until someone stops the regression would be nice, although the aura effect might be a little too much. The range isn't that bad, you would have to be inside her terror radius in order to be revealed.

My discussion came back, so I’m just gonna do my best to avoid editing my posts now.TheBean said:No idea to be honest. I've only had one message come back from the approval, from about 3 that went into that state... You might need to message a mod/support or just repost what you were writing.
I'm not even sure were you can even see your messages that need approval.

Reviving a lot older threads is called nerco'ing.
Oh, well when I'm not making my own discussions, I'm browsing through everybody else's.
And I don't mean to be rude by it, but I find most of the threads on here aren't really worth having discussions about. So most of the time, I end up passing by a ton of them, making me end up really far down the pages.

What's with all the necro'ing, if I may ask?

Filters to make sorting through all of the perks would be great.
-
Lasting until someone stops the regression would be nice, although the aura effect might be a little too much.

Monitor & Abuse and Shadowborn do not stackWhy don't they stack? Did Behavior deem it too strong?

I don't know about the Skill Check part, but stopping the scream on hooks would be pleasant.
-
Is there a standard amount of time until a thread returns?
-
A similar buff could be making the range 32/64/infinite like Empathy, and then making the duration 10 or more seconds.
-
I would like it to be more uniform in some way, something like:
Tier 1 Perks are always Uncommon (Yellow)
Tier 2 Perks are always Rare (Green)
Tier 3 Perks are always Very Rare (Purple)
This way, finding Perks alphabetically would be much easier, and it would be more consistent.
-
I'd say it was more of a consistency thing than anything.
They don't want such a huge gap in power between perk levels.
-
It would, but unfortunately they've opted for the "disabled until further notice" approach.
-
Having more things to reward playing well or in a more challenging fashion are nice.
-
Battlefield has had some community challenges, I.e. “destroy 50,000 vehicles with explosives in 1 week”Eight said:I don't play any other online games (used to play a couple of MMORPGs, but that was years ago). Chap at work was telling me about some of the community (i.e. everyone contributing towards a shared goal) and weekly challenges that some shooting game pish has...
... Sounded good to me.
An impossible task by yourself, but every single players contributes to the number.
For Dead By Daylight it could be “complete 5,000 generators” or “hook 10,000 survivors” etc..
Then at the end there’s some special reward if the community beat the challenge. -
Almost everything Behavior has done has caused game balance issues, however Gen Tapping is not an exploit. Whether it’s balanced is another thing entirely.Incarnate said:@ModernFable said:
They even confirmed on stream what aren’t exploits/bannable actionsI know, and the devs clearly don't understand what it does allowing gentapping!
It's a gamebalance issue!
On a side note, unless they’ve recently changed it, you cannot avoid Overcharge by Gen Tapping. -
Better than it’s been, still in need of improvement
-
They even confirmed on stream what aren’t exploits/bannable actions

-
I wouldn’t be opposed to something like this.
-
They could do something like, reduce the max stacks from 4 to 2, buff the numbers a tiny bit, and then give it another effect.
Otherwise I don’t see them doing much.
I highly doubt they’ll find some sweet spot for the percentages, where it’s very good, but not oppressive. -
Something like having weekly challenges for all of your characters would be nice.
Since it wouldn’t be a “one and done” you could keep playing those who you’re more comfortable with.
A nice contrast to the irregular Daily Rituals. -
Making the game less random is always great.
-
Could be an interesting way to spice up gameplay for yourself while getting some extra BP.
-
Sony are slowly becoming more keen to Crossplay.
As far as the Console and PC talk, it could simply be Opt-in like it is with other Crossplay games. -
Having them reward a bit more blood points wouldn’t hurt either.
-
Sometimes the animation will start, but then it’ll cancel into a hit half way through.
-
90% of the BP Offerings
-
It would be a lot better, that’s for sure
-
Having Console Crossplay, as well as a completely optional PC Crossplay would be nice.
-
I would certainly appreciate getting a stack for the BP bonus when someone DCs even if I don’t get the aura effect.
Mind you, if they DC when downed or on my shoulder, the full effect should definitely apply. -
