You can also run Insidious or Monitor & Abuse on Myers.Raccoon said:If you ever notice someone using the new Borrowed Time, straight up camp them out of the game when you hook them.
You'll save way more time - As long as they're alive, any unhooks that take place in your TR will force you to complete a full chase (2 hits) again, regardless of who you opt to hit (Rescuer/Victim).
Since you have no Terror Radius, Borrowed Time won’t activate and you can down the unsafe hook faster. -
That may be so, but when it’s a game as poorly optimized as Dead by Daylight, even big rigs have a problem running it.Master said:@Unicorn said:

Please stop posting ignorant things like this, not everyone is fortunate enough to pay $1000+ for a PC.
You dont need a battlestation to run DBD, its really not that expensive

I admit, the battlenet platform is decent too, but steam is still a lot better.

I did, however that thread was exclusively about the Epic Games store and the potential return on investment for becoming an exclusive.Orion said:Didn't you already make a thread like this, or did someone else make the other one?
Just recently Discord announced changing their revenue split in response to the Epic Games store.
So I wanted to both share the good news, as well as ask whether Dead by Daylight will be coming to these stores. -
I completely agree and wanted to spread the good news.MandyTalk said:I like the fact that there is more competition in the market because I think it's healthy, one company should never have total control, it's healthier for the players if there is competition.

For instance Steam players can play with GoG players and vice versa. It’s all on the same platform after all. -
They made this change in the most recent patch.

Alright, thank you for the info.MandyTalk said:The optimisation pass is an ongoing process. The first step is the Unreal Engine Update - which was the main "patch" , from now, optimization will be an ongoing process.

Was this patch “the optimization patch” for console?RuneStarr said:According to this, it was due in December.

According to yesterdays Dev stream though?
We aren't getting one. It'll be a "pass" instead of "patch" and it started with the engine update (even though that made it worse for a bunch of people lol).Feeling like the redheaded stepchild over here in console land
If not is it still coming in December?

It has been happening since the Spirit patch.

Nothing has changed about Generators.
Lighting has changed because of an update to the game engine.
And dedicated servers are coming summer 2019. -

There are dozens of other perks that need way more help to just be useful. -
I really hope some big patch comes.rafajsp said:@AntiJelly said:
Is there going to be a separate patch coming out before the end of December as the "Optimization Patch"? I've been waiting a long time for it, since I play on console. Playing killer is nice and all, but playing killer with over 30 fps? That's NICE! Just wondering.EDIT: I do remember watching that one stream a couple weeks ago where they said it was coming in December, and I am SUPER ULTRA crossing my fingers that it gets here because the new engine made consoles even worse! (mostly on killer)
Forget it, they "pass" as they said on twitch.
"Pass not a Patch" said Mcote which means they passed on it cuz there is no term pass in development/gaming.
For the last 6 months the game has been broken on console, getting worse each patch. And every time someone brought it up they said “there’s gonna be a big optimization patch in December, be patient.”
Now we're being told that it’s not a “patch”, while given some vague information on the road ahead. -
If that’s what you want then you should aim to make PIPing harder then.DwightsLifeMatters said:
Okay, but doing a rank reset twice a months is easier to do than ur suggestion. We are waiting for 2 years for separate game modes for casuals, still nothing happened. I just want the noobs out of red ranks, nothing more or less right nowAntiJelly said:I personally think there should be a rank reset even less than now. There should be one every two months. The PROBLEM is that the ranking system sucks. It's because they don't have a casual mode, they have to make the "ranking" super easy, for the people who just play casually. There has to be a casual mode, then a ranked mode, then they need to make it harder to rank up.
Red Ranks are more indicative of play time than anything else right now.
Making Rank Reset every 2 months, while also making it harder to PIP, will more accurately put people in their skill zone and for a longer time. -

While being more effective would help solve the “filler” problem. It wouldn’t change the fact that Offerings themselves don’t add anything to the game.JammyJewels said:

They used to have more meaning or more effects on the match, but the drastic ones that added fog or a darker moonlight have been removed. Offerings are indeed quite useless in terms of affecting anything inside of the match, as no particular offering has killed nor saved me but what would they become if they were more involved in gameplay? Another issue of balance, that is what. And unfortunately they get enough hassle about that as it is.
Ebony mori changes everything tbh.
But they’ve implemented additional means of getting a Mori, like Rancor. Who’s not to say even the Mori offerings will go? Perhaps all Offerings will go but then what would replace the Bloodpoint boosting offerings?
Bloodpoint offerings are just filler in the blood web. breaking them down simply, the majority of them are 50% bonus to one category for 3k BP cost, 75% for 4k, and 100% for 5k. The most you can get in a category ingame is 8k. This means that:
Common offering caps at 4k bonus points (net gain of only 1k)
Uncommon offering caps at 6.5k points (net gain of 2.5k)
Rare offering caps at 8k (net gain of 3k)Now keep in mind this is based off of the MAXIMUM that can be earned in any of these categories, and you'll see how flawed the gains are with this system. On top of all of that, you can only use one at a time, so you will have to play X amount of games to even attempt to get your full return on investment.
Some of them like pudding/cake/streamers/etc are perfectly fine as it is, but all of the weaker ones do nothing but contribute to the grind.

It helps you understand how the Killer thinks as well as when they’re weak. Playing both sides considerably increases your understanding and ability as a player.
Other than that, you can watch videos and gain a better understanding that way. See what other players do, and learn from it: see what works and what doesn’t.
I play killer at rank 1. Camping is for people who are complete garbage.

Most Offerings are filler in the Blood Web to create an artificial grind. And others such as the Moris create large shifts in balance when they are/aren’t present.
All Offerings serve to do is add unnecessary randomness and filler to the game. They do not provide any tangible benefit to the game as a whole.
As far as I can tell, the only reasons players want to keep Offerings in the game is personal attachment, rather than a logical defense. -
You wanna be invisible, play Claudette with dark clothing.
Otherwise, just pick someone with a look that you like. -
Any reasons to keep them?
Because they seem to only cause problems. -

If it didn’t affect you or other players in the match, why does it matter?
They could have needed to leave and shutdown their computer in a hurry. Or wanted to hop on another game right away to cool off.

If it didn’t affect the you or other players in the match, why does it matter? -

Borrowed Time which originally encouraged attacking the unhooker doesn’t any more.
Before you’d hit the unhooked person and then be incentivized to switch to the unhooker because the other player will go down regardless or need to spend a fair bit of time Healing.
Now since they can get right back to work after shortly Mending, your better option is to tunnel.
It’s a much easier down and now you’re that much closer to killing off another player. -

So while Legion may see some changes in the future, I highly doubt Behavior would go dedicate resources to reworking them.
