100% is... I play killer, I usually kill all (or get hatched) the survivors 60-80% of the time. I play survivor, killer wins 80% of the time. The killer wins far more often than survivors escape.

What rank are you/they, how would you rate the survivors you're against.

What rank are you/they, how would you rate the survivors you're playing with and the killer you're against.

Aslong as it doesn't create infinites or cause certain loops to be almost infinites (looking at you Myers House) I'd be fine with this buff.

This can be avoided IF they change the maps, then buff BL.

Oh or, make it so each map has atleast 2-3 spots to use it on (looking at you Shelter Woods)

why would the broken role be allowed to gain more advantages?

    Because it isn't broken.

If I were to run lithe and kash vault which one would activate? And here's my version of duct tape and lighterfluid "After repairing the equivalent of one full generator you are granted a makeshift fire cracker that stuns the killer for 2/3/3.5 seconds and gives you a 3/4/5% movement speed boost for 4 seconds. Duct tape and lighterfluid can be activated 3 times in a single trial" other then that I like what you did with the perks, I really like spanner in the making and learn thy enemy.

From logic standpoint - Kash vault would activate first IF the killer was close enough. If not then Lithe. (cause it says when, unless OP used a wrong word)

  • Why does it have a cooldown and duration in the first place

    Ah right, tiers.

  • Removing the blood but giving him more make-up would be neat. That's all tho.

  • Iirc they said they would work on making transitions "work" while still feeling fluid enough so it feels the same.

(I also don't like how crouch animations just kinda stops in place, compared to the previous transition)

  • So let killers ban survivors perks. That would be balanced, right? You wouldn't be oppose that, no?

He still has a 20 second cooldown and a 4 second stun. He can't spam hit you.

Ah, so giving him Frank's mixtape... How would this new Laceration mechanic be diffrent that Deep Wound for Legion then? Would it take less hits than current mixtape (iirc it's 4 hits, right?)? If yes, how many? Too little and he can just old legion. Too many and it's obsolete.

  • @Pulsar said:

Except Survivors have control over when they go down.

How so? During a chase you most likely won't heal anyways. And old legion was "annoying" during mostly the chase.

  • @Pulsar said:

I don't know. That's why I said something like it.

"Every time a Survivor is hit by Frenzy and hasn't healed, their action speed decreases by X%, after X hits without healing, the Survivor will be put into the dying state, while still refreshing Legion's power bar."

This promotes Survivors to heal against Legion, which makes him much better. Idk how to make him less annoying for Survivors tho. Any ideas?

Tbh, that just sounds like Old Legion.

The reason i dont like it is because its just kind of a free pass.

The perk by itself is ok, but combined with lithe or quick and quiet its a little much.

So it has a combo... The combo isn't that fantastic to begin with in open maps.

Let's nerf every combo then!... Somehow!

Theres already 2 requirements for moris. Being an ultra rare offering and then basically killing the survivor by chasing and downing them twice.

Meanwhile what are the requirements for bodyblocking, flashlight saving, ds it feels stupid to even list this because im not saying anything we dont know. Like Mandy, im a survivor main. Unlike Mandy tho i get no joy out of escaping for the sake of escaping. Mandy is like most survivors and thats the issue holding DBD back. The game does not need to be an escape simulator it needs to be fun and while most survivors wont tell you that most survivors are also constantly ######### talking the game. Why? Because the game IS brain dead easy as survivor but how did you die last game? Did the killer tunnel? You get hit with noed? Chances are it was some BS. Because there has to be BS because the game is so survivor sided but when that killer hit you with NOED what did he feel? Happy that he got your punk ass

    THAT is whats unhealthy

It is unhealthy that most survivors only want to make the killer feel bad, it is unhealthy that most killers want to kill specific survivors to spite them. How do you fix this? You gotta start by making the killer an actual threat and you gotta stop worrying about survivors quiting. In fact its so bad now that it would be GOOD if survivors quit because i typed all this waiting for a match! I could play killer but i dread it so much that im saying ######### it and getting on eso.

Anyway the point is no one is happy with the game (except Paulie he'll be happy regardless because he's a saint) and it just keeps going downhill. For killer i think its obvious why but for survivor i think its because its just so boring and we are being catered to! We get everything we want, the DS "nerf" is a buff to everyone who doesn't know how to use it and people are still raging out. I think its time to try a different direction. Also if you want to sell moris you gotta make them be a part of the game thats also important

Alright, but how would base kit moris make killers happy? So 2-3 times in a game they don't have to worry about the things you mentioned?

    @DjangoTheGhostface said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1984490#Comment_1984490

A good first step. I think you're wrong about it not making a difference because it would to one person. You're probably assuming SWF would negate it and in solo you'd be dead anyway but i see a future where SWF wait at the exit gate while the killer walks besides the slug. People would eventually ask whats the point the game would flow better if it was a ivory and then we go from there.

Like i said the community and its mindset has ruined this game, its not the game it was supposed to be and it never will be now but we can take steps to go back to that solid premise while evolving it to still cater to the fandom it has spawned. You just can't let the animals run the farm they dont know whats best they only know what they like.

In dbd terms we like winning like dogs like chocolate

"In dbd terms we like winning like dogs like chocolate"

What is winning in this game?

Disagree, as long as a survivor is nearby the killer is getting stunned regardless. That's how pallets work. I just don't see why I should risk taking a hit because I have to wait for an animation to end, the pallet should interrupt the animation and drop the survivor, it's not hard to understand physics.

Except the timing acknoledges good survivors from bad survivors. THE ONLY THING I can agree with is the fast hits. However, I still think the animation should give immunity.

And I guess this will end here, because our arguements are now opinion based.

An animmation giving the killer immunity to being stunned is broken. It shouldn't be an intended feature. If pallet stuns weren't supposed to be in the game then survivors wouldn't be able to do it period, but because they are able to do it, the killer shouldn't be immune to the stun for 90/100% of the animation, which can cause the survivor to take a hit by the time they can drop the pallet, which does happen. It's a problem. I don't think a survivor should be forced to wait until the killer is able to hit them in order to stun the killer, that's broken.

    It is an intented feature.

Again, I will point out to something else someone said. They did already add this once. People hated it. Survivors were invincible under the pallet. Yes, killers should be aware of potential pallet saves (and they are) but this change would make it so you can never pick up someone. You would have to search every locker, corner and wall to make sure that you're safe. And if you missed one spot you would lose a bunch oof time. And if you didn't miss a spot suprise suprise you still lost a bunch of time.

No. You don't understand correctly, I don't think that. Just as vacuums were phased out, the kilers animation immunity should be phased out as well.

So then it's not the same principle.

Vacuums allowed the survivor to teleport to avoid hits. That was broken because it could be used even more standing still and made everyone have a dead hard for pallets.

Pallet and flashlight saves cannot be "free". Same as why wiggling out isn't easy. It shouldn't be. They can halt killer's progress tremondously.

I thought the challenge of the game was to not be killed by the killer. Since when is the challenge of the game about timing an animation to end in order for the blind or stun to register? If this was a FPS game where rockets, bullets or grenades wouldn't kill people when the player was engaged in an animation, it would be fixed ASAP.

With that logic, we may as well revert half of the balance fixes the devs made, bring back vaccuums, add more pallets, old DS, no entity blocker and open up windows, why? Well because it adds to the challenge of the game!

The are a lot of "challenges" in this game. Hitting skill checks, timing your abilities correctly and timing your flashlight and pallet saves (which wouldn't require skill or challenge if it wasn't time based)

If this was a FPS game where rockets, bullets or grenades wouldn't kill people when the player was engaged in an animation, it would be fixed ASAP.

Would you look at that! This game isn't an FPS... sort of!

And if we want to get "other game" arguements, let's say killer gets Untargettable/Unstoppable status effect for the animation duration.

With that logic, we may as well revert half of the balance fixes the devs made, bring back vaccuums, add more pallets, old DS, no entity blocker and open up windows, why? Well because it adds to the challenge of the game!

There's a line between something being challenging and something being broken and almost unwinnable.

  • There's currently a problem with the emblem system.

  • @Moundshroud said:

I would agree with the previous posters except for a couple of things:

    1. No Perk is supposed to be perfect. Being able to stand still when you suspect the Killer might be able to get a read on you, such as when hooking someone for Barbecue & Chili or when a Generator is about to come up for Bitter Murmur, or if you suspect you are facing a Scratch Mirror Myers, can be very useful. Like all Perks it is situational and would (my way) require some proper thought and play.
    2. Insidious is not useless for Killers, nor would this version of Distortion be for Survivors. It would get use. Not being able to move for a bit is a small price to pay. Token Distortion is gone within the first minute most of the time, and eve if we did have ways to get back Tokens the control over it would not be in the Survivor's hands. It remains a get lucky Perk.
    3. If you truly want an upgrade to a Perk by the DEV you have to look at time and effort. A fancy Token system is code heavy and has lots of chances for unintended consequences. This solution is something that can be done simply and has no unintended code consequences.

I originally argued for Tokens and all that jazz, but in the end I had to be pragmatic. Do you want something you can use and get some value from, or not? Because if you want some fancy Token system, this will not get revisited for years, if ever. :)

this will not get revisited for years, if ever. :)

This logic doesn't make any sense. Because, by that logic, they would pick up your idea and do it tomorrow, wouldn't they?

You can still get value out of current Distortion too btw.

  • @Avarice10 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1945840#Comment_1945840

That's a terrible reason. Of course flashlight saves and pallet saves are strong, that's why good killers check to make sure there aren't survivors around to stun/blind the killer. I don't think Killers should keep animation immunity because they were careless in picking up a survivor and didn't check to make sure another survivor wasn't waiting to drop the pallet. It also doesn't make sense for the pallet drop to not stun the killer just because of the animation. To me this is a change that needs to happen regardless if it's popular or not.

It's the same principle behind the devs gradually removing window and pallet vacuums, killers didn't enjoy missing the survivor or eating a stun because of the vacuum, well survivors don't like that the pallet stun is completely negated by the animation immunity. It needs to be fixed at some point.

So if understand correctly, you think vacuums were fine for the game, correct?

Do you not play ranked modes in other games? They're always longer than 1 month. What would be the disadvantage tbh? What are you afraid of?

    1. They're really easy to climb. Making them longer is pointless.
    2. Recently, they talked about how they wanted to add bloodpoints rewards. Again making seasons longer would mean you get that currency later.
    3. There's ONLY ranked mode. And I don't think you want to see someone killing themselfes on hook, affecting your game just because they want an easier game AND STILL can go back to red ranks for reward.
    4. I'll ask again, why should it be 3 months? Every game does it diffrently (for example, LoL has it's season going for over 9-10 months, while Overwatch lasts just 2 months).
  • Oh nononono.

This was like this at one point.... You LITERALLY couldn't pick up if someone got downed near a pallet.

    • If the Killer runs no Aura reading perks and you aren't the Obsession, Proposed OoO does literally nothing.

And that's okay. Distortion already does this. It doesn't do anything unless the killer runs a perk. MANY perks can do nothing, if the killer decides to even unintentionally.

Even tho it's basically about a killer?

  • I kinda don't understand how you pressing the wrong key, had anything to do with the struggle key animation.

  • The New Years gens are 1k and 3k if envelope is burned (for that person). Completing a generator provides a neutral exchange, 2+ gives you a profit.

  • Oh God please don't! Why should it be 3 months?

If you they can't tell the difference then they should remove the penalty COMPLETELY because now I'm banned for 28 MINUTES for something I CAN'T CONTROL. It's absolutely unacceptable to ban someone who actually WANTS to play the game the same way as someone who just wants to either win every time or ruin the game for others. This isn't the way to treat someone who paid for the game, paid for every single dlc, and buys auric cells from time to time. I give them my money and I'm not allowed to play their game when the only thing I did wrong was...play their game.

    Totally unjust...

You're still ruining a game for others even If you don't want to.

And I have a diffrent question - Do you play other online games?

  • Because the killer I played against had worse internet than me?

I guarantee that 99.9% of the people that do this are PC players.

    That... shouldn't happen.

And you can't really tell, can you? Aside from PS4, you don't know who you're crossplaying with.

It's totally unfair to be lumped in with those that PURPOSELY ruin the game for others when I ACCIDENTALLY lag out from circumstances BEYOND MY CONTROL.

You see... there's NO WAY to tell that you DIDN'T LEAVE on purpose. I don't play on console (and i'm really lucky with people dcing) so I can't tell if that happens often or not.

  • I'm pretty sure this isn't considered a "real" event. Remember the winter event? I think this is something along these lines. And if it's not, then agreed.

  • @browalker15 said:

Iron will reduces the sound of injured survivors by 100% while standing, walking, crouching and hiding, and is reduced by 75% while running or doing actions.

A very simple change that is realistic in the sense of survivors get maximum use out of the perk while hiding and still get use out of it while doing actions but are not weighted equally for every scenario.

It is a good change, however can we please stop with "realism" arguements.

  • @KateMain86 said:

Well I did say in my OP that the hook status bar is too small.

Also a lot of survivors already do "dance parties" with killers but its really just moving their character left and right or in circles. I really don't see it as a problem. In fact I think people would like it. It would happen as often as any other interaction with the killers. Either they let them do it or they hit them out of the exit gate. Either way new character animations are not a bad thing.

But that's the question then - do we keep semi-scary setting... or add dances that remove that setting more. (and yes, I know the game isn't as scary when you played it enough)

More emotes would be welcome, but I don't think adding dances is a right way to go.

Ok but most of those pallets are god and safe pallets as others have said. On top of that there are way more pallets than before. Yes the old ones are still there, but now there's a ton around them/the map that weren't there before.

This map has a bunch of pallets because it lacks in windows. There's usually only 1 LT downstairs, window on the drop and window upstairs near the entrance to the bathroom (from above).

It has always been like this.

    1. This is still a game
    2. Ah yes, realism. In this game. Where you get sacrificed to entity and you can take a chainsaw/hatchet and just get pats on the back to be healthy. Naturally.
  • I just like the animations. Except the idle one, but the sneaking one, walking, being injured (walking+running), being on the ground, recovering on that ground - all look cool to me.

  • Agreed! I legit thought for a second my item recharged somehow when I got hooked.

  • My problem is that they removed the red blinking bar when someone was downed but something was happenning to them.

    some of blights addons

    some of wraiths addons

    Tattoos middle finger..

    Some of oni's addons...

there could be more but i don't play them enough to remember off the top of my head.

    Understandable for I'm all ears

For looping, you would need to be constantly near a totem. And still it's only for 2 seconds.

Eh... Idk if Blight would really care?

    Undetectable.

And this is a stretch... kinda. While yeah you see the aura you're still slowed and your vision is blurred.

Oh yeah that ultra rare add-on. Perma-vision on survivor but on killer also. Same goes for Plague actually! Maybe it shouldn't work against ultra rares then? But that would be a weird exception. This OoO rework isn't perfect, but it's still a step in good direction.

  • What will you do about scratched mirror? The killer is already slow, and with this he will never get to anyone.

Myers has an innate undetectable status while in Tier 1. Thus you won't be able to see his aura anyways.

There are to many perks and addons that will be destroyed if you allow this to work when point blank against a killer and have the potential to make survivors running this uncatchable.

    Could you show more examples?
