Good point! Still, he was a bounty hunter and who knows how many horrible things he did in the time period between being liberated from jail and back at hunting Bayshore

I guess we'll have to wait for his Archives chapter to come out! I'd like to believe that his vengeance was pointed towards those who truly deserved it, bounty hunter or not.

This might just be me but i feel the new killer's name doesnt fit with most of the other killers whole naming theme. What do you guys think?

After "The Ghost Face", all reasonable naming conventions are moot. At least the Deathslinger sounds like a realistic and purposefully exaggerated cowboy outlaw name, i.e. Billy the Kidd, The Sundance Kid, and everyone's favorite gray western hero: Doc Holliday.

  • Babysitter, Remember Me, and BBQ are my favorites.

But he seems to be enjoying hunting survivors, he even laughs when catching someone.

True, but a few others and I have noticed a detail in Caleb's lore, right before he's taken, he sees everyone who ever wronged him standing before him. I think the Entity blinds certain killers from reality and forces them to see survivors as the people they hate. This justifies why Rin kills so proudly and why Kazan feels so much hatred towards the survivors. She sees her dad, he sees the farmers and those who wronged him, and Caleb sees Bayshore, the Warden, and the bullies who hurt him. Herman, Freddy, Kenneth, and Jed, however, relish in the misery of others so they see the survivors as they are.

Caleb belongs in the Good Boy Gang, he literally never killed an innocent person and his rage and bloodlust is only directed towards those who ruined his life. But if you consider bounty hunting to evil, I guess you can call him evil, but in my opinion, proper bounty hunting isn't. Death to Bayshore, Justice for Caleb.

  • Dude, there's gonna be a trailer, hold your horses (yee haw pun time).

A lot of killers have parenting issues too actually

Evan, Max, Michael (?), Herman made his parents fight, Anna lost her mom, Bubba, Amanda viewed John as a parent sorta, Kenneth, Rin for sure, Frank, Joey, and Susie specifically, Adiris, Kazan had son issues but also was judged by others because of his dad. Caleb and his dad got along real well, it seems.

Did you enjoy the final fight? It was AMAZING wasn't it?

So, so, SO good, I didn't want to spoil anything but man, unloading multiple clips and releasing all my throwables at him was so god damn satisfying. Wish I could've left him in Strawberry to rot.

Why bhvr, couldn't it be her mother at least

Claudette had mom issues at least. But yeah, a lot of survivors have parent problems, Jake, Claudette, Nea, David, Jane, Ash, Steve, Yui, and now Zarina.

    Yeesh, dude.

  • Well, they're similar in concept but totally different personality wise. Caleb wasn't evil, Micah was. Caleb was just a victim of racism and hatred that got screwed over my the upper classes many times that made him callous and cold, causing him to relish in the pain of those who wronged him. Micah is a rat and deserves every shot to the face that he got.

  • I can't believe that my pipe dream chapter, an old west chapter, actually got made. @Peanits If you could pass on the notion to the team that this chapter is the greatest thing to happen to this game and that I am so grateful, I would deeply appreciate that. The art, the music, EVERYTHING! Absolute art...

  • @Foxfire47 said:

One of the developers loved Red Dead Redemption a little too much.

You say that like it's a bad thing, partner.

  • Zarina seems to be a sorta Joe Shmoe female character, that is if you count being a pseudo-famous indie film creator not that special.

    Wait.

Uh-oh. This thread is getting deleted.

Hoping the animation for certain stoic characters is them walking through just like rage mode Jason from F13.

Oh man... Trapper/Myers/Oni walk right through, Nurse yanks it down with her powers, Hag sketches a rune on the wall and it explodes, Freddy melts it into blood... I guarantee you half of these won't make it in but oh my god a man can dream...

    The Outlaw...

Was just about to say that...

My guesses are The Outlaw, The Gunslinger, or the Sheriff.

For all of you unaware, the map is called Saloon in the code. As we all know, chapters are called countries (Freddy was England, Stranger Things was Qatar, etc.) however, get this, Oni's map was called Temple in the files... And what did we get? We got a shrine. If we get a Western chapter for DBD, I think I'll cry tears of rootin' tootin' joy.

  • Monday is part 3. Can't recall when part 4 comes though, check the ingame news, it says when.

  • Well, yes but actually no.

Same type of sword, different length. Check out the Yamaoka Estate and you'll see that two swords are missing from the rack. Before Kazan, there was only 1 missing.

    If only.

  • A cenobite, preferably Pinhead, would be an incredible addition to our roster of killers and the chains seem to be a decent clue. The laziness of the first two yanks and then the sudden acceleration at the end fall in line with a certain scene from one of the Hellraiser films. Plus, Last Year already has a chained prisoner who breaks walls, so I dunno if a repetition of ideas would be wise from BHVR on a legal basis.

Still, if it's some type of prisoner or chained beast, I'll be happy. Since I've already got my survivor main and preferred build, map and killer are all I care about and a prison map would be awesome. However, we just go reworked Lery's and the truth is, that map does give off some decrepit prison vibes in certain places, so releasing a similar themed map right after might not be the best idea.

    Still waiting on The Candyman

Candyman is my last big want for DBD. He fits perfectly, more so than literally any other killer thus far.

  • @KornySon10 said:

Gen speeds are fine. You only get gen rushed if you are chasing 1 survivor for minutes at a time and refuse to break chase.

If it is taking them minutes to go down, they are better than you. If you can't find a single survivor in the whole game who you can down in a reasonable amount of time, the entire lobby is better than you, and you deserve to lose.

    Simple, really.

Scott is a huntress main so it's no wonder he is complaining he can't slap on the braindead ruin and now actually gets punished for mis-positioning his 110 killer on the map.

Ah, yes, it is my fault that as I'm hauling my ass across the map to the furthest gen that it gets popped before I even get there.

You've obviously never played killer at red ranks, don't even try to defend yourself lmfao

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/127903/how-do-you-feel-about-the-speed-of-generator-repair-and-the-overall-speed-of-the-game

People want the game to last like 30 minutes when in my opinion it's not supposed to be like that. The game seems very fast paced for the state it's in right now and I think that's how it's supposed to be played. Quickly.

I dont have time to be sitting around while the trapper sets up his traps for the first 2-3 minutes of the game. My goal is to survive not toy with the killer and let him kill. The killers on here like to play with their food and honestly I'm not putting my butt on a silver platter for them. They have to work for it just like I do.

Except survivors have to work far less as opposed to killers. If you don't see an issue with how quickly gens fly these days at high ranks, you're delusional. You know its bad when I want a nice, relaxing game, I queue for survivor with some friends.

no id be pissed that i spent an extra 60$ on dlc and outfits for pc that i had on ps4

Then that's your fault, just because you doubled up on cosmetics and DLC doesn't mean that cross-progression is wrong to add in.

  • I also noticed this, they sound nigh identical at times. I'm starting to pick up the differences but when I get a Nance and Yui in game, good god, I have to check the menu to see who's who.

  • The order that I've always worked with is:

    Mike

    Doc

    Freddy

    Ghostface

    Clown

    I

    V

    The rest

  • Considering where BHVR is currently and how many licensed cosmetics we get nowadays, I do not doubt we'll get licensed Rifts down the road. A five-part story about Steve searching for a job and landing Scoops Ahoy and maybe a longer look into what happened after Ash drove off at the end of Season 3 are all likely and not impossible stories to tell for BHVR. I'm excited, I'll say that.

  • A dev walks into a bar and the bartender asks them what they'll be having.

"I'll take a "Hex: Ruin", its a drink that always takes super long to finish. Definitely a late-game type of item."

The entire bar laughs and throws the dev out on his arse.

It's been leaked that Kate's new outfit will come out on the 29th of January, along with outfits for Yui and Nurse

When does Steve's come out by the way?

  • Ghostface and Ash for sure. Classic robe with the bloody mask and knife look stellar. Bloody Ash is literally just Ash from the show and movies after a few minutes of deadite killing.

I know, and cosmetics, etc etc but they could maybe yank some of them that are caps already to help this team instead

Except the cosmetic people aren't versed in map creation and the map people aren't versed in killer creation and vice versa. See the issue?

  • Yoshikage Kira would be scarier and more fitting than Dio. Plus, Josuke could come with the chapter and have some amazing healing perks to represent Crazy Diamond.

  • @RobMeister88 said:

Definitely Myers. He's the only killer who actually has immense physical strength and power without the Entity's influence. Him and Freddy. The rest of the killers have to rely on the Entity's influence otherwise they'd be underwhelming and could be defeated by survivors like David and Ash. What other killers actually have a good record of multiple confirmed kills before being influenced by The Entity? Let me put it this way:

Trapper: Akin to Myers, but only due to The Entity's influence. Take Evan and Michael out of the fog and put them in a fight and Evan will be snapped like a Twig.

Wraith: He can sneak up on unsuspecting innocents, but good luck catching Michael off guard. Besides, Wraith is so skinny, Michael could literally snap him in half.

Hillbilly: Same with Wraith, he'd have to catch Michael off guard in order to land a hit with his chainsaw, and even if he did get Michael with the chainsaw, Michael would stab back and do way more damage.

Nurse: Too small and fragile. She might land a few hits on Michael but eventually Michael will learn to counter her blinking and probably grab her the next time she blinks towards him and from there it's stabbing time.

Doctor: Michael is just pure evil, not even evil, he just is. I don't even think evil is a suitable way to describe him. Michael is just Michael, no thoughts cross his mind, he sees someone, he kills, there is nothing to mentally affect Myers.

Ghostface/Pig/Legion: Myers could literally take them all on at once (yes a 6v1) with his bare hands. No further explanation needed.

Plague: Michael's immune system is probably as great as his strength, I don't think the vomit will do much except for messing up his overalls. Plague is tall but that's it, she has no natural strength, she completely relies on The Entity.

Huntress: Same situation with Wraith except she'd give out her own position with her humming. Michael would just dodge the hatchets and grab her by the neck before she even managed to lift up her axe.

Clown: His best bet is to just bombard Michael with toxins but I doubt they'd effect him much. Clown has a dagger. Michael has been unaffected by bullets. Clown ain't got much to defend himself.

Spirit: She's a spirit and Michael is human, so Michael is already at a disadvantage however, if the spirit can physically interact with the material world, Michael could easily fight back. Rage is a powerful thing but that can put her at a disadvantage. She'll be rusty in a fight and just swing wildly meanwhile Michael is calm and collected. It'd be a similar situation with Nurse I presume. They get in a few hits before Michael catches on and then he grabs em and stabs and game over.

Demogorgon: A teenage boy (Steve) almost killed him by catching him off guard and stabbing him with a spiked baseball bat. Michael would do the same except Michael would finish the job.

Hag: Same with Nurse, too small and fragile. Michael sets off a trap, Hag teleports and lunges, Michael grabs her and stabs her.

Leatherface: Bubba is very dangerous but clumsy. Michael could easily catch him off guard.

Oni: This would be a battle for the ages. Michael has immense strength and power, he's probably the strongest man to ever live except for Beowulf, no man could be stronger than him. Oni however matches Michael in height (might even be taller) and his way more muscular and is not human, he is an Oni, a demon. Even when he was primarily known as Kazan (when he was human) he could put up a dangerous fight against Michael. Kazan was a legendary samurai who defeated many other legendary ones. Now in his Oni form he is faster, stronger, and more powerful. As much as a powerhouse Michael is, the only way I'd see him winning against Oni is if he got the element of surprise, which he most likely will get. Either that or use the Oni's rage against him like Spirit. Let him get a few hits in, let him collect enough blood until he goes into demon rage and becomes more clumsy and pick off hits when he misses demon strikes.

Freddy: This would be Michael's toughest battle however, if Jason could defeat him, then so could Michael.

As far as the best and worst go:

    Best: Michael

    Worst: Legion or Pig.

Decent analysis but you're treating Michael as if he is literally the strongest man that has ever lived, when in reality, we're dealing with Michael from H1, a truly evil 19 year old with supernatural premonition. If we're dealing with H2 Michael, he's stronger by far, if we're dealing with Cult Michael, then yes, he's superhuman. But what we have ingame and from the cosmetics, we have Michael from the first Halloween. Sorry to burst any bubbles but although Michael is one of the strongest killers, he would get stomped by at least half of the cast. He has no power at the end of the day.

Lmao far from a defeatist attitude. I’m just not

going to ######### about something the devs clearly don’t give a ######### about. The forums have imploded for the past few days because of this and what have the Devs done? Zilch.

In the past? Not #########. So keep whining and they’ll keep on shining because regardless you paid them already.

Tell that to new Freddy, the EGC, the Rift, and to all perk adjustments. I'll gladly keep whining because although you have a defeatist attitude (reread your comment, bud, you ain't helping your case), I don't. I have faith in these devs that if they hear enough from the community, they will budge. That's how things get changed. If YOU don't see that, YOU can leave, not everyone else, we're being useful to the game's survival and balance. :)

  • Hex perks are supposed to be devastating, this perk is simply kinda useful until it gets cleansed and pretty useful with surveillance--again, until it gets cleansed. The rate at which the gens regress needs to be doubled to justify the Hex quality. Look at NOED, Devour, Third Seal, all great perks but all linked to a totem survivors can easily destroy if they're dilligent. New Ruin, overall, is bad in the grand scheme of things when there are so many other better perks tor run.

  • @LustForBP said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/980332#Comment_980332

My point. Then why do you continue to play if the devs are so #########?

You have a defeatist attitude, my friend, and that is why you'll never understand why people are passionate about changing this game. If we don't give feedback, both good and bad, how are the Devs supposed to know what to change. Stop playing being a shill and understand that the people have the power to change what they want. Capiche?

  • Yeah, to hell with it. Been around since launch and I can't believe the changes made in the last 6 months that hurt killers. Yes, BL and InstaHeals were nerfed but not every survivor ran BL and it was only strong due to bad map design. InstaHeals however were a much needed boot, just like keys and moris should be. Other than that, what has greatly affected survivors recently? Zilch, nope, nuttin', nada. As someone who is red ranks in both groups, this really sucks, man.

  • If anything, this is going to encourage scummier plays to ensure pressure and kills. Expect more slugs, proxy camping, tunneling, and hard/soft patrolling.

    @DBD78 said:

Damn have to start playing more dirty as killer now. Semi camping is a must rather than always follow survivors "rules" about no camping and tunneling.

Yep. I don't care anymore. I'm gonna play like a killer who wants his BP and doesn't want to get spanked by the Entity.

  • @Mandy said:

Just to clarify, It's not possible to kick generators while Ruin is active. So perks that didn't work on already regressing gens won't work with Ruin effect active.

Man, that just makes it even worse. What a great and fun perk change.

  • If you cannibalize the auric cells given to you in the rift to increase your tier artificially, maybe. But if you want to keep all your cells, I dunno, man.
