  • In b4 ppl who think iron maiden is OP because they are not smart enough to go into a locker when a killer is chasing somebody else to check if the killer has it or try to bodyblock mad grit or multi-person gen instead of doing it the efficient way.

  • The thing is tho his power currently works because survivors don't know how to deal with it, there's a simple counter:

    Don't try to stealth him, run away as soon as somebody gets hit and you're within his TR.

    The easiest games as legions will be the ones where survivors will try to play immersed even when somebody else got hit with frenzy.

  • Getting mended by others would make this killer ridiculously OP for non-SWF players and you know it.

  • Catching up to survivors with frenzy is only good for denying very strong loops. You get put at 120% speed, 125% with addons, your regular speed is 110%, the stun lasts so long that you might as well have walked.

  • Butcher+Thana is a pointless combo. You don't want to incentivize the survivors to NEVER heal since never healing is actually a counter to him currently, just rush the gens after mending.

    Either you go butcher alone or thana, thana's healdebuff stacks miserably with butcher and puts it just over 30% instead of 25%.

    Bloodhound is good currently for moonwalk-chases where you break the chase but still keep track of the surv so the bleedtimer goes down but I imagine this will be fixed.
    M&A is ofc pretty strong because of the nature of frenzy.

    Instead of butcher or thana just pick a hexperk, he's good at defending those.

    Also there's no point in a full-charged frenzy against a deep wound survivor, you just waste time because it will deplete fully anyways after u hit them.

    rightclick DBD on steam, settings, BETAS, chose the testserver on dropdown menu. Spent bloodpoints there won't be deducted from your main account have fun.

    The Legion is more or less fine; it's Deep Wound and Mend that need some changes.

    Deep wounds should go down at a reduced rate while in TR to get rid of moonwalking, mend should take longer which would incentivize going for multiple targets, hitting an injured survivor with frenzy should do 50% more deep wound damage. fify

    Does Everyone Happen to be Playing The Legion Wrong?

    Probably, at least all the ones complaining too soon.

    I go for other survivors that are shown to me through frenzy and he still sucks ass because mending and healing up takes not much time when compared to me sprinting to some other sob at a lousy 120speed and hoping he was stupid to stay close enough instead of running away. Is he as bad as people say? no, but he's nowhere near billy which is a killer that is considered fun to play against and pretty balanced by most ppl here.

    He sucks ass without at least green duration addon and speedboost addon and becomes barely playable when you use them.

    Currently you have to break the chase with him to play him effectively, let the survivors drop to ~30% deepwound by moonwalking towards them and then either smack them normally if they mend or smack them through frenzy at which point it will down them. But who the ######### thinks it will stay like this? a moonwalking/groundwatching killer?

  • @CallMeRusty420 said:
    Leave it to the devs to make a Killer that directly counters pallet looping and still be weak. Yall did a pretty good job so far :p

    I wouldn't call him weak, you can pretty much cheese with him very easily by breaking chase but that's not fun gameplay and it doesn't feel like the devs intended this

  • He doesn't counter bodyblocking at all, he has a perk that does that but it's ridiculously situational and no good SWF will be caught by it. Might be a nice surprise for randoms but SWFs will recognize it too fast.

  • @The_Crusader said:
    Bleed out in chases...

    Do you realize how OP that would be? You're guarenteed the first hit, then what you just wait 20 seconds for the survivor to fall down?

    Some of the suggestions flying around are ridiculous and would make Legion insanely OP.

    Legion is basically the anti-healing meta of the past few months personified. Think of him that way.

    Nobody said that you should bleed out in 20 secs. The bleedout timer going down by some percentage would be fine enough. Like for example let's say Bleedout takes 120 seconds total during a chase which would still be pretty ######### but at least there's some real pressure for the survivor to heal himself. 120Secs total would mean that after the initial hit if you land a second hit the survivor would still have 60 secs of running around which would still be crap but he'd need to break the chase to heal up once he gets hit some more.

  • Yup, mending also doesn't reset if the survivor stops he can resume any time.

    It's like they thought long and hard what survivors hate about killers and then made a killer that is not effective at the "toxic" killer playstyle.

    NC doesn't show mending survivors

    Deerstalker is pointless because only noobs go down to Deep Wounds and even once they get downed they scream.

  • Frenzy is slower than Sprintburst by a good margin, I'd say he's probably at 120-125% speed.

  • Survivors are only exposed if they don't heal up, currently not healing up is not a real risk since he needs his power to get to you if you're good at looping.

  • So what's the issue with 115% ms? There'd still be no reason to play him over billy, billy has much more map presence and instadowns while this guy gets a free hit, whoopdiedoo. Why are ppl so afraid of making killers billy-tier.

  • Wraith's first hit is also almost free, nerf wraith to 112,5% now?

  • @Mc_Harty said:
    The bleed out does not provide enough pressure. For a character that is supposed to be a hit and run type, they suffer when the survivors are spread out. Unlike Spirit they can't mind game as well and even though they slightly redeem themselves when they vault pallets, its completely disregarded when that survivor can still move after you hit them twice.

    This killer needs some major improvements to their base kit so they can stand a chance at high ranks

    The frenzy needs a loooonger duration so he can actually go for far off survivors, also increase his TR to 42 metres after he hits somebody during frenzy so he can actually track ppl. I'd make his frenzy after a hit increase by 400% but it decreases for each survivor put in deep wound state. This way he could zip around like crazy and be this constant threat while still being pretty loopable due to his 110% ms

  • Monto completely plays him wrong, he uses his power to go for injured survivors even if he would've gotten a free hit without the power. i still say 115% ms and he'd be fine, that and make the swipe animation go off during the stunanimation when you hit somebody twice.

  • @altruistic said:
    “I am not immediately good at something, therefore it is bad!”  Attitude of most players.  Give it time.  Let people learn how to actually play the character.

    If you’re seriously “ranking” a Killer <12 hours after release, you need help.

    The killers in DBD are not rocket science, this isn't league or hearthstone where you have some sort of unforseeable synergies.

    If I released a 100% base MS killer who's power would be imitating survivors's looks and nothing else would you still tell ppl to shut up until they put 100 hours in to figure out he's crap?

  • The only time the hatch will not spawn is when the survivors play stupidly overly altruistic, you will get at least 2 gens unless you clump up on 1 spot so the killer can hit all of you before even 1 goes down.

    I think it can be a lot more powerful than people are giving it credit for. I'm not sure if you realized this, but his vault (while frenzied) is actually better than the Survivors'. He doesn't just climb over to the other side of a window or pallet; he ends up about a meter away from the vault location.

    At which poilt you'll hit them but your hit will just take of 30% of their timer. Downing ppl with his power is not viable, his power is good for the first hit but that's it. Honestly if he was 115% he'd be fine.

    His power is not meant to put people in the dying state directly, but rather to force Survivors to stop whatever they're doing. In that way, the Legion is better than the Pig.

    Legion is pretty much pig. Mending takes little time to do... it’s not effective

    it's more meant to hit multiple survivors with which would be completely fine if his base MS wasn't nerfed.

  • There's no double hitting, once you hit them while they're wounded you lose all of your killer power and get mini-stunned for whatever god forsaken reason they thought this was a good idea.

  • There's no reason as to why this killer only has 110% ms

    2.Why does the killer not have any free game mechanic that is made to avoid that 4 survivor escape?

    I've already given logical and factual reasons for why the others and this one are illogical but this is a great one to show your twisted logic.

    The killer does have a free game mechanic to prevent survivors from getting a 4 man escape and in actuality there's 2 free game mechanics the killer can use.

    There's the tried and true method which is not letting them do 5 gens thereby making the hatch never spawn for all 4 survivors to use with a key.

    While the other and often most direct one that is guaranteed to never let 4 escape is called.

    SACRIFICING 1 PERSON.

    Now you can't try and twist or argue over semantics, troll, defect, use logical fallacies or anything else you normally try. If you as the killer don't do one of those 2 things that're free and in your power to do then you can't complain if 4 get out either via the gate or the hatch.

    Thing is survivors have a failsafe mechanic in case the game gets awry (hatch) but they still performed well, where's the failsafe for a killer in case 5 gens are done and all survivors are still alive?

    Imo if all 5 gens are done the killer has the survivor with the most points releaved to him, he is exposed and can be mori'd. Still wouldn't help you pip but pipping is easy anyways, it's just the occasional 0k that feels like ######### when you know that survivors have a mechanic like the hatch to counteract frustration

    If you are good enough at her (and you're not on like...Lery's or Haddonfield), yes, yes she is.

    You struggled against marths depip squad sooo

    Bruh it was literally the sweatiest team on the planet, I didn't use Iridescent Head, or Instathrow, or Ruin, and I was on Swamp of all maps...with Huntress. Also I still won.

    Obviously yeah it was hard as balls but there's pretty much 0 teams that try that hard. A normal SWF can be destroyed by a good Huntress.

    gratz on beating the depip squad at that time when they ran without perks and toolboxes

    You're right, the game has gotten even easier for killer since then. It should be easier now.

    Because it's totally realistic for survivors to not bring perks and items into a match.

    The fact still stands that good survivors with coordination will beat a good killer and the effort it takes so is not high since survivor gameplay is mostly running around loops and knowing where pallets and certain loops spawn/can spawn.

    There have been no heavy nerfs to survivor gameplay that would affect them to an extent to where it makes it easier to play killer.

    And really, not wanting to be rude but I don't think balancing for 5000+ hour ppl who play this game as basically a job is something I would do as a gamedev.

    And btw the small nerfs that survivors received would not be as helpful as playing against the depip squad while they repair 25% faster and have perks, survivor skill ceiling is incredibly low.

    2) PROBLEM ANALYSIS: What specific injustices do you believe derive from the existence or from the actual operation of the hatch?

    I am just focusing on this one.
    The injustice is the following:
    The hatch is a mechanic to avoid a 4 kill match and give the last survivor a chance to escape without doing the remaining gens or gates with a clear advantage after the survivor found the hatch.
    So it is a kind of a safety net.
    But where is the safety net for killer?
    Where is the game mechanic that avoids all 4 escaping?

    this, i can understand the hatch being there but at the same time there's no safety for the killer

  • I don't need a reason to camp, if I feel like it I feel like it.

    If you don't like the fact that ur being camped just ######### on the hook and move to the next game.

  • The map is bad because of the jungle gyms, nothing more for me. I can't see why they haven't made the damn jungle-gyms not see through yet, it's probably a fix that can be done in a single patch.

  • I think they're doing something similar to lagswitching, just had the guy who I couldn't hook DC on my shoulder probably was not on purpose but because he timed out too long.

    Hey, i just write my opinion.
    I want play assymetrcial horror game.
    But for me, DbD isnt a assymetrcial horror game.
    Its more like, (1vs1vs1vs1)VS1.
    And i think Last Year does a pretty good job with the class system.
    I quite DbD, because i dont like the game design anymore.
    And i got an alternative to DbD.
    Its ok that you think im bad.
    I have no problem to be bad.
    I have a problem with unfair things in game.
    And both sides should have the same informations.
    Simple example:
    The reverse beartraps from the pig.
    The pig got no informations.
    But the survivor have the sound and a timer.

    lol last year is gonna be #########, asymetrical my ass, survivors just stunlock you to death there.

  • Killers so far have not received any buffs to combat the problems that killers have (looping on coldwind for example) so nothing has really changed unless you're talking about a measly 4 sec increase in healing time.

  • Killers will not get banned anyways.

  • The guy claimed DS can be countered when the only counter to DS is a survivor being stupid enough to get downed near a hook. Smart survivors who are injured and know they'll go down will run away from hooks or to a corner or some ######### so they can get DS off.

  • nothing a killer does can be counted as an exploit

  • Also I can't take people seriously who play 3k+ hours over 2 years and think their opinion matters to the devs. this is a casual game.

    You have to admit when you come across a player killer who plays well and one who does not play, it is the same for the survivors! (I'm rank 1 so I'm talking about killers and survivors of the same rank)

    A good killer in a survivor main's eyes is a killer that does not kill them.

    I had games where I literally ran behind survivors doing nothing just to get hunter points and didn't hit or hook them and after the deranking spree I had tons of +reps on my steam profile on how good a killer I was.

    We literally do not care about your opinion on this matter.

    BBQ actively works to promote tunneling and effectivize camping.

    I have a difficult time expressing my emotions about this within the rules of the forum…. so a simple #########? has to be enough.

    I had a hard time reading through the rest of the post, because this has basically been burnt into my brain.

    How does this statement make any sense??

    I could say the same about your statement. What makes BBQ a perk that incentivises not tunnelling and camping when the perk shows the auras of injured survivors along with telling the killer when a survivor is nearby so that the killer can stay near the hook while searching?

    I find it hard to see why you think it doesn’t make camping and tunneling easier and less chancy if the killer decides that’s what they want to do with the perk’s information.

    Attacking an injured survivor that is 40+m away is NOT tunneling ROFL.

  • Camping is a good strategy against SWF especially, therefore camping will never get punished because it combats SWF that almost killed the game.

  • Here's a quick and easy fix: totems shouldn't glow at all. Survivors want to rush the game? better get good at those great skillchecks or risk getting 1shot by devour hope then.

  • Admitting to lagswitching is not bannable,

    I admitted to ESPN hacking when survivors accused me of it even tho I have no VACban on my steamacc, the devs probably had a good laugh at ppl calling a myers with mirror a ESPN hacker.

    You actually have to cheat to be banned.

    @Master Let's help each other to make a detailed list of balance changes, then:

    1) about totems, I wrote to @TerminalEntropy and repeat now that they can be doubled, if needed;

    2) about secondary objectives, my ideas are specifically explained in https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/27565/secondary-objective-shrines-to-the-entity ;

    3) about killer perks and add-ons, which ones do you consider ineffective?;

    4) adding 15 seconds per gen or a sixth gen, for example;

    5) less loops, more mind games, more hidden totems, for example.

    I'm not in the Balance Team: I'd be happy to give you more details, if I were in there and could do many tests.

    @Malakir @MhhBurgers I ask you a very direct and sincere question: would you have the desire and enthusiasm to spend time and money for players who judge you openly incompetent and incapable? It is not the right approach, this. The game will not be perfect, but if each of us tried to:

    1) bear small smears;
    2) to report serious problems in a calm manner, not angry, not contemptuous, possibly balanced and without supporters for one or the other faction;
    3) to work for a more cohesive, more collaborative, friendlier, granitically available community to support and motivate developers;
    then, perhaps, it would be easier to obtain results and satisfactions. It's a general speech, I'm not accusing anyone, but it's not constructive to debase those who offered us the opportunity to have fun with this game of ruthless hunting and desperate survival. Dialogue, hope and perseverance are my polar star. :)

    I get told every day at my job that we're too slow etc. I don't give a crap about it as my payment doesn't change from ppl's opinions. I wouldn't give a ######### if some ppl said I'm incompetent/incapable and I think the devs themselves are probably aware of that considering how small changes in this game already break their spaghetti code frequently. Also we're not talking to the devs here, I've never seen anybody here visit the forum, the biggest change we saw took Mathieu Cote being humiliated live on korean TV to get the changes that the community was demaning for months.
