I play Nurse amnd Spirit and when I'm surviving I play against nurses and blights, 90% of my matches.
-
Unbreakable if they can't unslug you.
Deliverance if they can't save you from the hook.
Decisive Strike if they can't take a hit for you.
And a exaustion perk of your choice.

Yesterday Otzdarva made a stream when he tried to prove this point.
So he took every killer, he used really good perks and god tier addons and played.
He obliterated every lobby (most of the time, it was with 4 gens left). Of course sometimes survivors were'nt that strong, but still they at least played DS/DH.
As a killer main (95%/5% killer/survivor). I do not know what to think about ? Am I delusional to think that survivors have advantages over the killer ? But my POV is biaised by the fact I only played killer since I started plyaing (around 200h)
I would like to know what do you think about this ? Does it prove that the game is not survivor sided ? What is your POV on that ? Please also let know other people which role you main !
He's proving nothing. The only way to prove something is watching professionals play against professions, not against random survivors.
Every other DbD comment until 2020 had killers demolished and we had very strong killers (unerfed pinhead, blight, spirit), and nothing of boon totems. As it is now. I'm very sure we would have 0 kills every match.

Because it feels like everymatch is a competitive match with everyone running DS/Unb/DH/BT.
Plus flashlights, instaheals, BNPs.
Plus HaddonFUN offerings or the Game.
In the end it's a answer for so much tryharding.
Regarding to killer rotation, just relax ... soon it's gonna be Nurse/Blight but first the company has to sell his DLC/Outfits then nerf will come.
Agree. But I don't think it's the answer for survivor's tryharding...
I feel that I am very chill at my games... I have some thousand hours already, yes... (not my fault, tho).. and I usually try to stay on the mindset "what can I do right now to increase my impact as a player?", as a killer and as a survivor, and find myself playing optimally as a killer frequently. But as a survivor? Every other match I commit to huge looping mistakes... not being a tryharder and just being myself... Sometimes I feel playing Ace and only equipping DS. Sometimes I just want to chill... and I still escape.
That's a miserable situation. Killers sweating their ass off while survivors chill and mess around and have fun while still having a average of 2 escapes at the end (for "balanced" matches). This should stop. It's not even tryharding anymore. It's balancing the game around some killer's inability to have control over survivors. :C

Yeah, it only activates on Dull totems, not on either Blessed or Hexed totems. I think it would actually be cool to use against Boons since they would either be forced to bless the Hex (24 seconds) or cleanse it and lose a blessable totem. Plus, the Plaything Survivor might not have a Boon and then they would either be forced to be Oblivious for 90 seconds or remove the totem from play.
That's so sad. I was going to buy Hex: Plaything. Thank you.
-
There are so many impactful totem locations. The centralized ones are the best, and combined with indoor maps becomes insane.
Imagine having the killer to go up there, losing around 30 seconds of his time (going up and going down + finding survivor after + survivor healed states), just to disable a totem that will be light up again 1 minute later. It's such an insane damage that the best thing you can do is just accept and leave them there. If that's what BHVR call meaningful counterplay, then I'm ROFL.
Played 3 hours today and haven't been killed once. Once I change back to playing killer I will absolutely change one of my perks to Hex: Plaything.

Thats what I call a sweaty swf team. They even used a cake + my party streamer and they still rushed the gens and tried to escape as fast as possible, ofc with classic teabags, flash light clicks only at the exit gate. I couldve try to go for kills by camping and tunneling but as I saw the cake so I wanted to go just for points and try to hook everyone for my bbq stacks. Ofc they took advantage of that and played the most efficiant way as possible by pushing the gens and finished the game therefore in 6min.
I am not saying survivors are not allowed to play sweaty or should try to win. What I am saying is if there are 2 BPS boosters in the game and the killer is clearly not going for tryhard and is even not playing a meta killer and you still try to genrush with the best set up of items in your entire team stacked and still teabagg at the gate and then insult the killer in the endgame chat (I took the screenshot without the insults cuz I dont want to make these ppl look too bad in the forums) that I am bad and should uninstall the game then this is very sad imo.
Tbf this is nothing really new, we know that sweaty swf squads exist. My point of this threat is why ppl play like that? How can ppl feel "superior" by absolutely rushing the game even though you used a BP offering against a mid tier killer. Also I am suprised that grps like that even play against these kind of Killers, I know that I have max MMR with Nemesis but idk how BHVR thinks that this is "fair" in any way.
Like seriously, we had 2 chases and the game was done xD
Looks like average MMR people playing with friends. At high MMR you will see this so often you stop caring. Look at your perks. You weren't even prepared to play against them. Do you think Ruin+Undying does something on high level vs Nemesis? They will rush through it since this killer has bad mobility and bad slugging potential. Coup the grace on Nemesis who has that kind of M2? What kind of joke is that? What was your strategy then? I think I need to accept you don't understand these core interactions along with strengthness and weakness of a killer and watch some competitive matches to understand why you've got no chance of winning against them with this kind of setup.
Just accept your loss and move on. Improving or not MMR will find a place for you.
Here's something for you to watch.

I just don’t like using high level play in a justification that Spirit is dead. A lot of us aren’t playing at that level and if you are playing against people like that, again it’s a SBMM specific issue.
You are only seeing one truth of two. Because if you take your argument into account, Spirit spammers who know how to use current Spirit's "guessing game" shouldn't play with low level survivors: they would be carried into high MMR matches. This shouldn't be a problem as you can see, as it applies both ways.
-
@GannTM said:
Here is a question for the people that say Spirit is a dead killer. What is she dead in? Is she dead in winning every single game, is she dead against players that simply played better than you, or can she never win a game under any circumstances ever? If she’s dead against players that are way better and you get matched with people constantly like that because of your high MMR, that sounds more like a SBMM issue that effects most killers than it is a Spirit specific issue.
Spirit is fine, just because she gives information now doesn’t make her a dead killer.
I don't like tru3 but being he the only one who put this on internet, I feel the obligation to show you why. Of course, Spirit is not dead.. Everyone knows that most of the killers are currently at least as bad as Spirit, but she surely is dead at high level right now. She had problems before, she has more problems now. Everyone who neglects that never participated or watched high level competition matches against spirits, take any of the Hexy's DbD tournament and you can see that she struggles.

The increasing use of subtle hacking soon will get everybody attention with many streamers speaking about it. We're now dealing not only with clear speed hacking or machine guns, that are easy to report, but instead with aura reading hacks, that show totems', killer's, hatch and allies' location, with auto skill check and many other things.
We need to know what's is being done about subtle hacking
- When can we expect a patch to resolve this massive problem?
- Will the anti-cheat be as agressive (but efficient) as Valorant's VANGUARD when detecting hacking? What can we expect?
- Are you aware that hackers are able to change other users in-game UI thus making reporting impossible? (1:08 of https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aVoS-oUHRn0&ab_channel=Choy)
- Are you aware that it's impossible to know that a random survivor ally is using an aura reading hack?
- Are you aware that it's impossible to know if a random survivor is using subtle speed hacks for totem cleansing or great skill checks?
- Do you understand that both of hacks described on questions 4 and 5 can't be reported because people can't detect them?
- Do you know that the number of annualy banned accounts in some games can be 20x bigger than the diary playerbase of DbD, meaning that a very big number of people consider hacking? (source: 800.000 banned accounts on Warzone: https://charlieintel.com/how-many-players-have-been-banned-from-warzone/90341/)
We need more transparency.
Please, comment with other questions so BHVR can address them in the next development manifesto. (Also comment to keep this post on top the some until some BHVR acknowledgment.)

Too many complains recently. Do devs need to put this as hint in game?
Easy solution: don't tryhard.
Don't camp, don't tunnel, remove slowdown perks, go for 12 hooks... And you can have more fun games!
"But I tryhard because they tryhard" I hear you say. No! It's under your control to get out of chicken and egg situation.
"But I want to win" I hear you say. Forget it, with SBMM you are supposed to* get same win rate no matter what you do.

PEOPLE... HELLOO?
If you are wanting to have fun, DbD is not your game. Go play New World. New World is wella fun.

I don't gens should take longer as it's very boring for survivors. I think they should add a secondary objective that allows killers snowball very easily if not done my survivors, as powerful as cenobite's chain-hunt, per example.

I'm seeing a lot of concerns on Deathslinger posts, please remember this is the proposed changes for the PTB, it's something that will be monitored and is not set in stone at this stage.
Do not make changes that negatively impacts skill ceiling aiming to increase something's skill floor. That's bad balance game design and what's happening to Deathslinger is an example of that. I know you're not part of balance team, but it's a shame we still have developers making these mistakes.

3 Blinks means...
- 18 second recharge for all 3 Blinks (50% rate)
- Recovery add-ons are useless in combination (-0.6s & -0.9s = -1.5s recharge)
This is very interesting... I am intrigued...
4.5s for each blink [(3s base)]x(1.5) is not equal to 18s but instead 13.5s, which is still a long time I know.
With best recovery addon we have 3.15s per blink [(3s - 0.9 base)]x(1.5) with means 9.45 total // or 3.6s per blink [3s base x 1.5 -0.9] with means 10.8 total. One of these two is correct. It isn't clear if the 1.5x time multiplier is global or local.

People that cheat and/or hack in the game do get banned, however, if you do encounter them in the game, the usual method is to record it so you can send the additional video evidence to support in a ticket with all the other information they ask to be provided. An in-game report is mandatory at all times though, without one, there is not much that can be done.
You also need to keep in mind that many people play the game and thus report people too, so there are many reports daily the team handling those goes through.

Its sort of bug sort of intended. You're supposed to solve the box before it gets that bad, but you sort of can't if you pick it up as the chain hunt begins. The chains will keep attacking you, but they get delayed when you start solving the box. Sometimes they just...don't though, and keep attacking you even if you're trying to solve it. It is intended though for the chains to still harass you while you hold the box.
I see. So the oblivious isn't the only thing that affects you, but these things. Looking fun.

"Stun validation has been added to the hit validator. If a Killer has a pending stun on the server, the server will reject the hit. This will be most noticeably in situations such as a Killer who is attacking at the same time a survivor is throwing a pallet, and it should reduce instances where survivors appear to take damage after stunning a Killer."
I work in the field, so let me explain on a technical level why it looks so weird but why this change is necessary.
The most awkward situations happen when:
-----------------------
FIRST SCENARIO. KILLER HAS A LOW PING, BUT ATTACKS ALMOST AT THE SAME TIME.
(*) The server queue look like this.
[Survivor A] [13:32:12:14] [Pallet drop] [Location X] (*1) (Outcome) [Killer] [Status update] [Stun] [Killer] [13:32:12:18] [Hit register] [Survivor A] (*2)
I'm supposing that killer's ping is 20ms, while survivors' is 30ms.
(*) The survivor perspective look like this.
[Survivor] [13:32:11:44] [Pallet drop] [Location X]
Note that survivor (in real time) dropped the pallet at [13:32:11:44], with the 30ms delay, the server received that the Survivor dropped the pallet at [13:32:12:14] (*1).
(*) The killer queue look like this.
[Killer] [13:32:11:58] [Hit register] [Survivor A] [Survivor] [13:32:12:48] [Pallet drop] [Location X]
Note that the killer hit the survivor at [13:32:11:28], with the 20ms delay, the server received that the killer hit the survivor at [13:32:12:18] (*2).
In the other hand, notice that the killer received that the pallet was dropped at [13:32:12:48], 50ms after the actual drop, because the server has to receive this input from the survivor (+30ms), and send to the killer(+20ms).
Notice that more extreme scenarios can happen if the killer has a higher ping than survivor but hits before the stun.
As you can see, there's no doubt that the survivor dropped the pallet early. Mathematically, this awkward situation will always happen when action_registered(survivor's clock + survivor's latency) < action_registered(killer's clock + killer's latency). As there's no doubt that the survivor dropped the pallet early than it received the attack (in real life time), It's safe to say that (*2) can be safely removed from the server's queue, since it doesn't make sense in our real life time. Unfortunately, doesn't make sense on killer's perspective.
-----------------------
SECOND SCENARIO. KILLER HAS A HIGH PING, BUT HITS BEFORE THE PALLET DROP.
(*) The server queue look like this.
[Survivor A] [13:32:12:14] [Pallet drop] [Location X] (*1) (Outcome) [Killer] [Status update] [Stun] [Killer] [13:32:12:18] [Hit register] [Survivor A] (*2)
I'm supposing that killer's ping is 60ms, while survivors' is 30ms.
[Killer] [13:32:11:58] [Hit register] [Survivor A] [Survivor] [13:32:12:34] [Pallet drop] [Location X]
Note that the killer hit the survivor at [13:32:11:58], with the 60ms delay, the server received that the killer hit the survivor at [13:32:12:18] (*2).
In the other hand, notice that the killer received that the pallet was dropped at [13:32:12:34], 90ms after the actual drop, because the server has to receive this input from the survivor (+30ms), and send to the killer(+60ms).
This second scenario is the unfortunate one. But as you can see, if the killer has such a high latency, the survivor didn't had time to react the attack, or the animation, because it didn't even appeared on their screen because wasn't processed in the server yet. It's the kind of situation that the pallet is fully dropped and you suddenly get down. Makes no sense from the survivor's perspective.
-----------------------
People comment and upvote so more people can understand a little more about this. If your hit gets negleted by the server (1) you got stunned before, in real life time (2) you need to call your provider to ask for a better connection, or blame DbD's team for a poor server location.

There's nothing more they can do...

I do think it is somewhat map dependent. Nurse is interesting as a killer because I feel if her power were nerfed a bit she would go from being the most powerful to being entirely unviable and she's very binary because of her power. Basically if she's nerfed to the point where survivors can run away faster than she can catch up then she is unplayable, but because she ignores obstacles she becomes too powerful, like she is now if she can catch up to survivors. And I think she's near the edge already. I bit of a nerf and nurse is dead surprisingly.
I believe the same thing. I've probably 1k hours playing only with Nurse and I feel I can't play without blink recharge in indoor maps. Everybody wanted omegablink and multiple blinks out of the game, and that would be amazing, but we've still have omegablink and for compensating, a base-kit recharge. I've been playing a lot of Lery's and HD recently and I'm pretty sure I could have done better with Spirit. Indoor + full recharge time is looking too much for me.

I do use DS+UN+Deli, but not for these reasons. I use UN because I like to play the game, not stay in the ground for 2 minutes while the killer chases other people. I use deliverance and DS because I frequently get campy killers and my teamates don't manage to unhook me, so I unhook myself. If that's the case, if the killer still want refuses to divide their pressure and chase me, I will give him more time chasing me since he likes chasing me that much.
You're very cringe and you don't know.
Don't want to get DS'd? Divide your pressure between different survivors.
Don't want to people recover from the ground? Don't let them in the ground! (OMG, I'm so smart!)
Someone self-unhooked because they are broken? Nobody is there healing because they can't be healed! Look close for a gen, someone probably is gen-rushing instead of going to save their teammate!
How hard is this? ROFL.

Some maps feels too big because genspeed is too quick right ?
I don't think genspeed is too quick. I think the Ormond realm and Red Forest maps are way too big. I don't think anyone can negate that, it can take 1/4 of a gen progress to go to from one side to the other.
-
Most competitive teams I've played totally ignores it. Against casuals players, I've seen some very competent survivors that know every totem location so it's no problem to them, against bad survivors is also a wasted perk slot, because unless you're as bad as them, you would win the match anyway. So, if you're bad killer playing against bad survivors it may help you win, but if you're a good killer, either when playing against good or bad survivors, for the reasons above, it will be a waste of perk slots.
-
I would add kindred for survivors!
-
Have you ever watched DbD tournaments? Not even "professional" players can win matches. Every can killer get dominated by survivors not matter their skill level. Why are you getting mad at something that you don't have control of? Winning every match isn't something that depends on your skill, it depends on game balance too!

Not for me matchmaking time is quick at certain time zones. And my husband mains killer for the compendium tasks so it would be ideal for new people to practice and if you don't have time to wait find something else to do because why do you have cell phone games? Lol you would be gaining killers with skill in rank matches rather than new killers trying out their chapter one compendium.
You really think the way of solving matchmaking waiting time is telling people to play other games on cellphone? I don't know about you, but for some people like me, when they want to play a game, they want to play That game, and when we say we want to play something, doesn't include waiting in the lobby for a match. If I'm going to wait more time to play a match than actually playing the game, I would rather choose to not play.
I've actually gone through this before with my friends. There was a time that we would wait more than 20 minutes to play with 4 stack in the lobby, and the match would end in 5 minutes. We ended up just closing the game, that was not a game, but instead a waiting simulator, and actually play something. Developer's loss, nothing we could do.
