You do know I’m a Myers main right? His add-ons are extremely powerful, thing is that you gotta put in the effort in the match to get use out of his add-ons. It’s not going to just be GIVEN to you. Although he does somewhat struggle in SWF groups. Using an infinite Tier 3 can be very helpful if you can pair it with J. Myers Memorial.

I don’t like Nurse because her fatigue is annoying and the blinks are wonky on PS4. Not to mention she is slow as a slug.

Billy is a lot easier to use, but he’s just not my favorite. Certainly better than Leatherface however.

The “lesser killers” I like are Freddy and Hag. Is Spirit considered a weak killer? Because I use her pretty frequently as well. She’s definitely climbed up my killer list.

Thx that you try to stay reasonable.

And no, I don't know that you are a "Myers main", by the post I read from you so far, I was expecting you to not play killer at all and that you are most likely a survivor main anyway. :P

Maybe this is a PC vs console issue, because you play on PS4.
Some people say that certain killer are better/worse to play on console and that the gameexperience with these killers can differ a lot depending on where you are playing.
Some people even say it is about the skill and competitive playerbase that cause the differences.
I play PC only, so I can't judge it.
Most people I heard consider Spirit weak, especially versus better player.
Same is true for Freddy... he is a great noobstomper but sucks versus high ranks.

I guess I am a “survivor main” but I play more killer if I don’t have friends online at the time. I’m still relatively new to killer since I played for a little while when I first started the game at the end of March then stopped and NEVER played killer until about a month ago.

I mainly play Myers, Pig, and Spirit but I switch between every killer. I’m not really playing Myers at the time because I just prestiged him.

Nurse is definitely easier on PC than console even though I’ve ran into some God tier Nurses at high rank but the majority of people who play Nurse are probably only doing it for a daily ritual. She’s very hard to control on console.

Not sure why Spirit is considered a weak killer. I can play her and get a 4K nearly every time and I am certainly not the best killer out there. She can use a little reworking, such as possibly making blood appear in her base ability instead of an add-on...but I doubt that’ll happen.

Same holds true for Freddy as I can get a 4K most of the time, but everybody knows why he is a weak killer. Freddy is really the only killer I consider to be weak.

Hag and Wraith are much more viable now than they were. Honestly I get killed nearly every round that the killer is Wraith. I can never escape a Wraith.

    • Pig (full character rework)
    • Spirit (full character rework)
    • Trapper (base stats)
    • Huntress (addons)
    • Leatherface (addons and base stats)
    • Myers (tombstone addons)
    • Clown (addons)
    • Nurse (achievements and purple addons aside from Campbell's last breath).

Now if anybody needs an “achievement” rework it is The Huntress...downing survivors with hatchets 100 times from farther than 24 meters is a ridiculous feat. It should be 30 MAX. Yet for Trapper you only need to catch 10 survivors in traps.

    Killers that need a rework:

    • Freddy (complete)
    • Pig (complete)
    • Leatherface (complete)
    • Myers (addons + way he gains EW + perks)
    • Billy (addons)
    • Nurse (addons)
    • Trapper (way he obtains traps)
    • Doctor (addons)
    • Clown (complete)
    • Spirit (complete)
    • Huntress (addons)

I can vouch for any new add-ons but what do you suggest for Clown and Spirit reworks? For Spirit she needs to be 115% speed and the blood should be in her base ability without any add-ons.

Clown however I don’t see how he needs a complete rewrok

Spirit needs a shorter cooldown on her abillity OR should be able to see survivors while in spirit form. But the long cooldown + invisible survivors cripples her to much. A killers abillity should be his/her strength, not cripple him/her. Best example is Freddy.

Clowns addons are trash. They need a complete overhaul. Same goes for his abillity. It´s mediocre at best. Addons should change the way the bottles affect the survivor (less vision but no speed breaker, more vision but a greater slowdown, etc). His perks need a slight buff. Bamboozle should be able to block 2 windows and have a longer counter. Pop goes the weazle should have a longer counter (time is simply to short on some maps). Coultrophobia should work map wide like Thanatophobia, because no one heals inside the terror radius, because of Nurses calling.

They should also take a look at the fly path of the bottles. On some maps it´s really frustrating to use his abillity, because a random tree will break the bottle.
Therefore i proposed a complete rework.

Seeing the survivors while in her phase walk is a little bit extreme. I’d be all for a shorter cooldown but they already changed the cooldown from 20 seconds to 15 seconds in the latest patch and there are perks that can be used the decrease the cooldown even further.

Clown on the other hand I do agree with> @Wolf74 said:

Freddy ofc sucks bad and needs some rework.
Trapper still sucks even after his buffs.
LF is really in need of buffs, especially since they nerfed all his add ons for no reason.
Myers is pretty cool, but has some lackluster add ons with to harsh drawbacks.
I personally think that Pig kinda sucks, but other people perform really well with her. shrug

Most things are not just about specific reworks, but general killerbuffs that are needed.

Myers is a definite top tier killer and balanced nicely. His add-ons have big drawbacks because they are pretty brutal on survivors. I mean having the option of taking a survivor out of the game in one move without hooking is pretty damn nice. He is the only killer who can do that. That’s the reason why it takes Myers so long to get to EW3 with a Tombstone. He won’t be getting to EW3 anytime soon unless survivors literally let him. Maybe the “tremendously” can be knocked down to “considerably” but it’s a very powerful add-on regardless.

Ok, calling Myers top tier says more about your skill level of play than about the balance of killer.

It’s kind of obvious that he is one of the top tier killers. Nobody is gonna argue about Nurse/Billy being #1 and #2. The rest are debatable.

Myers is one of the most balanced killers in the game. Of course if you’re trash with his ability you aren’t gonna do great. I’m GOD AWFUL with the Nurse but I’m not saying “Nurse is unbalanced and a trash killer”.

Myers is mid tier at best. Only survivor player call him balanced, because they have an easy time against him.

My bad is, I am not good with the top killer. I hate playing the Nurse and her fatigue makes me sick.
And I have those uncontrollable flicks with Billys chainsaw, that other seem to get under control, but unfortunatly not me.

So I am stuck playing the lesser balanced killer.

I'm surprised Nurse has actually surpassed Doctor in dislike votes.

Nurse isn’t even a bad killer to go against. I actually LIKE going against a Nurse due to her being hard to play on PS4 so it is rarely an issue to survive. She isn’t OP nor annoying to go against. Doctor on the other hand...kill me if I go against a Doctor, just put me on a hook and end my suffering.

  • In the long run Self Care can be annoying especially since everybody runs it...but I’d say Borrowed Time is pretty annoying when you HAVE to camp the last survivor who is right next to an exit gate and Claudette comes in for the Borrowed Time recuse.

Decisive only because an issue in SWF group with a four man DS team that are bodyblocking and they all have flashlights. If only that one Laurie has DS then it isn’t that big of a deal.
  • Yeah but what you guys are forgetting is that not every single survivor runs DS. I’ve played Spirit and about 9/10 of my games I haven’t had anybody have DS on, but because I had Rancor it gave them the obsession. Kinda felt guilty about killing them in the end seeing how they were the unlucky one to be the obsession and they didn’t even have any obsession perks on. I don’t complain about DS because it is one and done and if I run obsession perks on my killer I’m not gonna be a crybaby and whine when survivors run obsession perks. It would be hypocritical.

  • Doctor, Pig, and Freddy in that order.

Doctor because he is the most annoying to go against. The shaky skill checks and your characters ALWAYS screaming unless you have Calm Spirit. Monitor and Abuse paired with Distressing is also a nasty combo. The shocking becomes more of a nuisance than anything.

The Pig because her traps and annoying as well...paired with the fact that a lot of Pig players tunnel the guy with the trap on their head even though they COULD get a kill off of it and they are wasting their time because they’re too busy trying to get off the trap to work on generators.

Freddy is also an annoyance because the dream world is such an eye sore and if you are the obsession...good luck with being farmed and tunneled.

Even though he isn’t necessarily powerful, Bing Bong seems to be a real pain for me...I do not like playong against him AT ALL. Funny how it is a lot of mid/low tier killers that I’m more annoyed to go against. I’d rather go against the “top tier killers” like Nurse and Myers than the “low tier killers” like Freddy and Wraith.

I’m pretty sure we’ve all had bad experiences with every killer in the game, but those four above are the ones I have the most frequent bad encounters with.

Good news, friend. If you're playing a Jake, I'm not only slapping that trap on your head, I'm also going to slug you every time I run near. Definitely won't be ignoring you. :)

(Still got a grudge against Jakes from about two weeks ago). ;)

I’ve still got a vendetta against wall licking Claudettes and hook farming Claudettes. Whether I’m a killer or a survivor it seems like she screws me over one way or the other.

I've tried not running SC and instead runa medkit, killer brings Franklin's and just tunnels you. If you somehow get away and they find you still injured they know you're easy prey. Then the response from killers is run pharmacy etc and look through a chest.

Well 3 other people often have the same idea, especially if the killer is running Franklins, and then it's well run this perk. Then you respond isn't you very same killers that say you shouldn't have to run a perk to counter what someone else is running?

Then you run into killers who also throw out the less chest offerings with Franklins and now you have 1 chest that's in the map for 4 people. But you should just throw a chest offering out then which leads to why should I have to do x to counter why?

Most of my games are solo q at rank 1 and quite often you can't always depend on your tea mates healing you at that rank since the killers are usually running Nurses Calling. They're also always looking to nail anyone and everyone healing someone.

It's oftentimes it's better to run off to someplace secluded and heal yourself quietly so if a heal check gets missed 2 people don't get put at risk. That way if the killer is in a chase he's only got 1 person to screw with and not 2 with an easy down of you.

Franklin’s is easily the most annoying killer perk. It isn’t even that it is OP, just annoying from a survivors perspective.

I never use SC. I never use Meta perks at all for that matter. Players who run meta in any game are trash.

I forget who originally said it, but SC, DS, Adreneline, Borrowed Time and Dead Hard are all crutch perks that are used to allow survivors to make more mistakes at the expense of the killer's time.

Well not everybody wants to run Deja Vu, Resilience, Left Behind, and This Is Not Happening. I guess 95% of the player population is trash is your eyes seeing how they run the “meta perks”...survivors and killers both included.

Meta survivor perks: Self Care, Sprint Burst, Adrenaline, Dead Hard, and Decisive Strike

Meta killer perks: BBQ, Nurse’s Calling, Hex: Ruin, Enduring, and NOED

So you haven’t ever ran any of these perks?

I've run every perk in the game. My point is that meta perks are incredibly overrated and once a pkayer gets good enough, they shouldn't feel the need rely on them as a crutch anymore.

BBQ and WGLF are both necessary for when you are farming points.

Enduring has it's fun uses (like being paired with spirit fury) but you shouldn't be getting hit by pallets that much anyway.

Btw Resilience + This is not Happening + No Mither is a very fun combination.

My build is Self Care, Sprint Burst, Adrenaline, and Empathy on Meg. I run a typical “meta build” on her since she is one of my strongest survivors seeing how I’ve P3 her all the way.

Once I P3 Claudette however I’m gonna try to do a “ninja” type build with Calm Spirit, Iron Will, and either Urban Evasion or Quick and Quiet. I just can’t bring myself to get rid of Self Care especially if I don’t have Bond because I don’t like relying on my teammates when I could be doing something productive like fixing gens.

I live some rounds with meta perks and I die some rounds with meta perks. Killers run their meta perks so why shouldn’t survivors? I just say use the perks you want and don’t be concered about what the other survivors have as perks.

You can’t run...you have to walk everywhere you go. That is why you see those Meg players walking up to the hook in no hurry to get you down. They are saving that sweet sprint burst.

The upside is that you can create distance easily if a killer is on your tail and you can make them miss an attack.

It also has it’s downsides like having to walk everywhere you go and probably not being able to activate it twice in a chase. While Lithe and Balanced Landing can be activated when you want it to in a chase...sprint burst cannot, you can only use it at the start of a chase.

There is no need for a nerf/buff.

its just a terrible perk in general, just run balanced landing it still works even when exausted

I’d rather run Lithe than Balanced Landing. Not a lot of maps have drop offs and you are going to have an easier time finding a pallet or window to vault over than a drop off on Shelter Woods. I only run Balanced Landing on Nea or if it is the only exhaustion perk I have after prestiging a survivor.

  • Unless I’m playing Claudette I don’t chose based on camoflauge. Honestly I wear the brightest outfits. My main Meg outfit is the long red hair with the grey and gold tracksuit although I flip flop frequently between outfits. Nea I use the newest pink hair with the pink, blue, and black vest and zebra pants. Claudette on the other hand is the dark purple beachy waves with a green shirt and brown pants. Claudette is the only one I really care about camouflaging. Try find her on the swamp or red forest. Haddonfield can also cause a lot of trouble if you have a Claudette who really likes to hide in bushes.

  • I hate when killers hit you over and over again like idiots. If it is the last survivor then it’s not really that big of a deal but if you do that constantly to whoever in on the hook in the middle of the match it is just BM.

  • @Mrrgle_the_Mediocre said:
Yeah, there isn't too much you can do. You could search for pallets or generators you neglected, but it's only an extra 100 points and it's kind of tedious. You can bob your head up and down which is entertaining for like, 3 seconds. Hitting the Survivor is just kinda fun because you get to see the animation and something is happening. Plus, as someone who plays Cannibal, I love chainsawing somebody on the hook because of the frequent screaming, it really let's me get used to the sound of a Meg in pain. I frickin' hate Meg, but I'm only going to touch upon that if some dork makes the mistake of asking me to.

Yeah...well I don’t particularly like Leatherface’s squealing pig noises and duck waddling but we can’t all have what we want can we?

  • I don’t see many Laurie players that are rude and show BM. I see more. CLAUDETTE players who wanna act like they are the best players in the world then D/C when you see them clearly hiding in a bush or in a corner.

The crouching when Freddy is camping has me triggered.

One time all the gates were powered and I was hooked (first hook by the way). This STUPID Meg crouched and wouldn’t unhook me when it was a FREDDY who was camping. I went into the struggle phase and she FINALLY unhooked me and I made a run for the gate. Long story short I was downed and I died.

Fellow survivors, if all the gates are powered and you know Freddy does not have NOED and your teammate is on the hook...do not crouch and wait for Freddy to leave. Freddy is not the killer for camping and they can make a break for the exit gate.

If he's running stacked blocks you don't want to do that. He can put the guy to sleep really fast, you'd need BT like any other killer to make the save. And if he's a smart Freddy he won't put anyone else to sleep and you won't be able to body block.

The point is that it was end game with no NOED and the gates were open. He had no stacked blocks and it was a seven second transition. No point trying to play the urban immersion role when Freddy is obviously gonna camp (how any Freddy players camps don’t ask me).

There is no need to nerf Billy... EVERY killer should be at Billys level of performance

Don’t think that is possible. You won’t see Wraith and Freddy on the same preformance level as Billy and Nurse. You have viable killers like Myers, Huntress, and Clown but they just don’t have as much map pressure nor will they be on the same level as the top two killers.

Apropos map pressure … have played against a Freddy with Class Photo? That's applying tons of pressure on the team. But it is a purple add on and you can't play it all the time. :P

The reason Freddy has no map pressure is the same reason why Leatherface and Myers with Dying Light get a 1K...they are natural campers and tunnelers. Now don’t get me wrong...there is nothing wrong with a little camping or tunneling but with Freddy’s perks it makes him ONLY go after the obsession trying to get those 6 Remember Me tokens. I’ve rarely seen good Freddy players for this reason alome which also makes Freddy kind of boring to play against.

Freddy and Wraith’s power do not help them in a chase which makes them extremely weak in chases, but they are excel in tracking survivors. Freddy is your average M1 killer but even weaker with little map pressure. Wraith is only a step above that.

Yes I know that not all Freddy players tunnel the obsession, it’s just what I’ve experienced and one of the reasons why I’ve seen Freddy do so bad in rounds

Not all killers will be as viable. Buff leather how, his power is straightforward. Just needs ultra rares. Also, freddy camping is bad, he's best with class photo slugs.

Leatherface needs slight adjustments, he doesn’t need any BIG overall buffs but a few quality of life changes. One I can tell you is that he could be given a smaller terror radius similar to the Huntress.

I’ve actually run into more Leatherfaces at high ranks than a lot of “top tier killers”. He isn’t the most viable but it is still possible to get a 4K.

  • I run Self Care because I don’t like to depend on my teammates to heal me and don’t want to traverse around the map injured looking for someone to heal me when I could be productive and fix generators. It’s as simple as that.

She needs a base Speed Buff.

Ehh...she has a long range attack which is why she is slow. The only killer that needs a speed buff is Spirit. Huntress is one of the top tier killers, not really necessary to buff her base speed.

  • @Wolf74 said:
There is no need to nerf Billy... EVERY killer should be at Billys level of performance

Don’t think that is possible. You won’t see Wraith and Freddy on the same preformance level as Billy and Nurse. You have viable killers like Myers, Huntress, and Clown but they just don’t have as much map pressure nor will they be on the same level as the top two killers.

  • @pemberley said:
If I want to stay alive, Nurse because most players on PS4 don’t know how to play her and so you’re more likely to live.

But i guess my favorite killer to play against might be Michael. He actually scares me and it’s fun trying to outplay him.

I love PLAYING the Doctor but against is a bag of mixed feelings. I love him but also as a natural stealth player he’s the bane of my existence.

I don’t know how you play against Freddy. He always puts me to sleep.

But tbh I think Pig might take the cake only because every time I’ve played against her, she tunnels her bear trap victims. Like you can’t even play the Game, and its hard getting bp against her once she focuses you.

Bingo on The Pig. Players always tend to tunnel the RBT victims and I never understand why.

  • I play on PS4 so if you see the Nurse it is a blessing because she is very hard to use on controller so I like seeing the Nurse.

I love going against Myers simply because of the chase music, other than that he can be hell going against.

My least favorite is Doctor because he is the most annoying. The shaking skill checks, everybody screaming, and his annoying laugh after every shock. Yeah...Doctor is a pain in the ass.

I also dread seeing the Pig because I hate going around and finding the boxes for the RBT.

  • Honestly I got all my Adept killer trophies when I was in the low ranks. I would’ve NEVER gotten the Adept Nurse trophy if I wasn’t Rank 18 killer. It didn’t take more than a few games for most of the Adept trophies. Some are easier than others. Use whatever offerings or add-ons you have to your advantage. I used the Game or Hospital map offering for some of the killers to make it a little easier on me.

  • The crouching when Freddy is camping has me triggered.

What I want to see is a test match in which the killer is locked in the third person while the survivors are locked in first person.

I am all for the option to play in the first person as a survivor; as part of the reason killers aren't scary is due to the fact that we fail to accurately see them. Granted we can see the proportional size differences between killer and survivor in the third person but it's not the same. What's better:

Seeing Leatherface walk towards you with the saw raised right as you pop a generator, or . . .

. . . As the clatter of pistons reaches its climax a blinding light, a beacon, fills the night sky. But your hope and peace turn to dread when just to your left the hulking figure of a man comes out of the shadows. In what seems like seconds its muscled arms block out the full moon with a chainsaw whose revving engine drowns out all other noise. Your screams fall silent to the engine's roar as the beast lurches forward cutting your body and splitting your mind with raw agony.

Personally, I'm all for 1st person survivor. After all, I think there's a reason I don't see too many other horror games where the victim is in the 3rd person for a reason.

There is a difference between other survival horror games and asymmetrical survival horror games. Games such as DBD, F13, and Last Year are multiplayer and you rarely see survival multiplayer games in first person on the “weaker” side. The “stronger” side (or intended to be stronger) is sometimes in first person but not always, depends on gameplay mechanics. Games like Alien Isolation are single player with an AI killer so being in first person isn’t really an issue. F13 simply wouldn’t work with first person because Jason is too weak. In DBD is killer is arguably stronger if they are experienced and first person is not really an issue.

If the killer was in first person and the survivor in first person it would be slightly unbalanced seeing how the killer is faster and stronger than one survivor, I just don’t see how it would be balanced, however I’m not against having an option to choose first person if the survivor wanted to try it.

If the killer was in third person and the survivor in first person that would be HIGHLY unbalanced and wouldn’t be fun for either side because killers would just mow through survivors with five generators still up and it would be no challenge. There is a reason the killer is in first person and the survivor in third person.

Missing maps? Also please, no more swamp...

Why does everybody hate the swamp maps? I personally love the swamp as a survivor. Not so much as a killer. Only maps I TRULY hate as a survivor is the hospital and the game.

I dislike it because I’ve played the swamp and cornfield more times than any oth r map. Lol. I like them, I just was to see the other ones more. Except maybe the wraiths junkyard level. I hate that giant wall of cars. Lol.

I have specific maps I like as survivor and killer. I get SICK of playing the cornfield maps as well. Especially since I usually play Myers and it is hard to use stalk through the corn. The original three maps just bore me at times. I HATE Shelter Woods as both survivor and killer. Ironworks and Coal Tower are the only Macmillan Maps I like.

Autohaven I only care for Gas Heaven. Azarov’s Resting Place can STOP showing up.

Maps as survivor I like: Swamp, Haddonfield, Springwood, and Asylum

Maps as survivor I hate: Shelter Woods, Meat Plant and Hospital...pretty sure most people don’t like playing survivor on those maps

Maps as killer I like: Meat Plant, Hospital, Springwood, Asylum

Maps as killer I hate: Shelter Woods, Any Autohaven map, Haddonfield (gens got done really quickly on this map).

  • Bill, Tapp, and Dwight seem like the leaders

David, Laurie, and Kate are the ones that will be more of the “in your face” with the killers and probably will be the ones running. The an extent Meg could also play the distraction role due to her perks giving her distance from the killer and making her more likely to play distraction.

Claudette, Nea, Ace, Jake, Quentin, and Adam play the supportive role providing a greater chance of survival due to their perks (like Streetwise, Botany, and Vigil).

Feng is in a category all by herself being the lone wolf. She is more objective based only worrying about get herself out.

  • I don’t particularly want to give free grabs to Tier 1 Myers. I get what you are saying about positioning yourself in the right position, but what if another survivor is already in that position? There isn’t many “safe” positions that the killer can’t sneak up from behind you and pull you off. The only safe generator I can think of off the top of my head is the one on top of the Mother’s Shack on the Red Forest. You gotta position yourself facing toward the staircase with your back to the drop off of the shack. Mostly ever other generator you’ll easily have a Tier 1 or M&A Myers sneak up on you. Most of the time I hear Myers loud breathing before I even hear the chase music.

Scares can still happen. Just last night on the Red Forest I was on the last generator and Billy had Tinkerer and I knew he had it but I panned my camera behind me at the wrong time and he hobbled his way over to me and pulled me off. Not impossible to get those generator pull offs.

That's why I suggested some way to verify that the Killer has no intention of hooking anyone. Besides, Survivors already hide when they want to deny the Killer points, because they're just that vindictive. Ironically, most Killers just care about kills, so the fact that they're not going for the hatch is a godsend to people like that.

That’s why I usually run deerstalker because if you down Claudette in a green shirt and go after the last injured survivor, she will hide from you and you’ll NEVER be able to find her especially in a map like Red Forest or Swamp.

Why wouldn’t you hide when you’re in dying state though? First of all if you just lay there, birds will eventually start to form around you and give away your position. Second of all there is a chance you could crawl to the hatch.

2-It’s a ridiculously overpowered and crutch endgame Perk that is even more overpowered and crutch on Freddy. Add to that his endgame is one of the worst Killer endgames out there, and Adrenaline is one of the more extreme Freddy counters.
3-Please get out of rank 21. “Uhhhhh the addons are there for that!” They NEED to reduce skill check chances. Adrenaline is not a crutch seeing how it is a one time use endgame perk. If we wanna talk crutches then you gotta bring up NOED. Even though it can be destroyed or voided, it is RARELY voided since survivors will probably not get every dull totem. You’re the one who brought up that it was a crutch perk when most Freddy players will run the #1 killer crutch perk 🤷🏼‍♂️

Actually, I don’t want to know. The whole “Killer crutches exist therefore Survivor crutches that are far less counterable, far more effective, and exist in far greater abundance don’t need to be looked at” argument is preposterous.

Both sides have crutch perks need I remind you. It is an asymmetrical game and the “weaker side” is going to have more crutches than the “stronger side” regardless of what you think.

I never said certain perks don’t need to be looked at but killer mains have whined and complained about every perk and they just nerfed exhaustion perks? What OTHER crutch perks are there besides Decisive Strike because Adrenaline is not a crutch perk since it can easily be counteracted with NOED.

Your first mistake was calling Survivors the “weaker side” of this asymmetrical game. Just because they’re supposed to be doesn’t mean they are, and they certainly are not. If they were the “weaker side” most Survivors would have great difficulty in getting more than two of the four Survs out of the match on average. In most matches, unless you’re going against a god Nurse, If two Survs or less get out it’s because the Survs made an ass-ton of mistakes, not because the Killer was bombastically good.

Also the Exhaustion nerf only really clapped Dead Hard. Good Survs won’t need the others more than once per chase.

And outside of Perks, Survivors have a bunch of other crutches. 4-Man SWF and all the nonsense it comes with, instaheals, gen jockey toolboxes...

Regardless if they are actually the weaker side or not, survivors are INTENDED to be the weaker side...they are the victims in all this. In non-SWF they are but in SWF it is balanced.

What you fail to realize is that not every survivor is in a SWF group nor are all SWF group toxic and think about BM’ing the killer. Some play to have fun and enjoy the game. Me and my friends RARELY talk about bringing in items. Sometimes a luck offering or a shroud of binding but we don’t think about just being toxic with purple flashlights and insta heals. We just go with the flow of the game.

It could be argued that killers also have crutch add-ons they can use, not only survivors by the way. You gotta look at it from both perspectives. Sure survivors have crutch perks and add-ons but so do killers, it goes both ways and the reason survivors have more is that they are intended to be the weaker side. 1 survivor is not going to beat the killer. All four working together however will. 4 survivors pretty much equals the strength of 1 killer in a normal match up

None of this changes the fact that Survivors are much more powerful than Killers are, and an M1 Killer who literally needs to M2 just to M1 is in dire need of buffs.

Agreed that Freddy needs some changes. I just DON’T agree about pulling survivors off generators when they aren’t in the dream world and Adrenaline not waking up asleep survivors. Other than that all the other changes you suggested I’m not arguing against.

Why shouldn't he be able to pull off gens? So morons who horseplay when he's right there can suffer no consequences?

Why should Adrenaline wake you up? So it can crutch you even harder than it already does against an M1 Killer who needs to M2 to M1?

I don't understand how these two changes in particular aren't reasonable.

Freddy is ONLY supposed to interact wih survivors in the dream world. That is the point of the dream world. Why can’t the Wraith pull survivors off the generators when he is cloaked? There are reasons for it.

Again...Adrenaline isn’t a crutch. It has a ONE time use. You claim it is a crutch and act as if NOED isn’t a crutch perk, okay then...whatever YOU say.

Not something that is needed for Freddy’s quality of life changes

See except the Wraith doesn’t have to wait 7 entire seconds to hit Survs. He can also move faster when uncloaked and has no TR. THAT would be OP. You can stil, tell when Freddy is coming, ergo it wouldn’t be OP because he wouldn’t be getting any semblance of a jump on you.

Decisive Strike is also a one-time use; does that make it not a crutch? And at least with NOED you still have to actually catch the Survivors.

The difference is the DS is a get out of jail free card while with Adrenaline you can still be tunneled and downed by the killer. Not a crutch. NOED on the other hand helps a killers mistake by letting the generators get done and giving all survivors the exposed status effect something that can be broken but if on the right map will never be found.

It can be argued the Adrenaline counters a survivors mistake of getting downed or injured but the killer can still catch up especially with NOED.

Give Freddy a 0 TR and he would be a lot better.

I don’t care when and how it activates, 5 seconds of Sprint Burst and an instaheal will always be a HUGE crutch. The Killer technically can catch up to that, but will he if the Survivors had half a brain and efficient enough with their loops to save some for the endgame? Nope.

The way the gay is designed, if you get smacked by the Killer it is most certainly because YOU made a mistake and you deserve to be punished for it. NOED merely makes you punished more harshly. It’s hella crutch, but not nearly as big a crutch as instaheal+5 seconds of 150% movement speed.

Half the time Adrenaline isn’t exactly helpful UNLESS you are in a chase. If you play stealthy then what is the use for it? Even at that if the killer is on your tail and Adrenaline activates and the killer goes for a swing at the right time you’ll go down to NOED. The survivor STILL has to get to and open an exit gate which at that point the killer will camp to ensure a kill. Adrenaline has been a perk since the beginning of the games release, there is no need to change it’s purpose when it isn’t OP in the slightest.

Even though it can be destroyed or voided, it is RARELY voided since survivors will probably not get every dull totem. Don’t start talking about crutch end game perks when NOED is sitting pretty as the #1 killer crutch perk. Even if perks are crutches who really cares? They are perks and perfectly able to be used.

I already has this chat and I’m not having it again.

4-So he’s just not allowed to punish Survivors for making stupid plays because hurr hurr no dream world?

1-This point isn’t worth giving a ######### about but I’ll debunk it anyway: In Freddy’s DBD backstory it directly states the Entity altered Freddy’s powers. Ergo the extent of his abilities in Nightmare on Elm Street canon is irrelevant.
I shouldn’t have to waste addon slots just to reduce the odds of a Survivor rendering themselves invulnerable to me until I find them again. The Pig has addons that she would greatly benefit from if they were baseline, but “that’s what they’re there for” so I guess she’s fine right? Doesn’t need ANY tweaking whatsoever!

Adrenaline is not a crutch seeing how it is a one time use endgame perk. If we wanna talk crutches then you gotta bring up NOED. Even though it can be destroyed or voided, it is RARELY voided since survivors will probably not get every dull totem. Don’t start talking about crutch end game perks when NOED is sitting pretty as the #1 killer crutch perk. Even if perks are crutches who really cares? They are perks and perfectly able to be used.

I already has this chat and I’m not having it again.

1 - no. In Freddy's movies people could wake up by hurting themselves.
    2 - no, it's an endgame perk.

I can't see myself using Rancor that much to be honest.

    Freddy + STBFL + Rancor

Ignore the Obsession all game that he cant even Bodyblock and kill him during the endgame.

Scratched Mirror Myers + Boyfriend’s Memo + STBFL + Rancor will be a truly evil combination if I do say so myself

  • Ehhh...don’t agree with yanking survivors off gens while they aren’t in the dream world and I’m CERTAINLY not fond of staying in the dream world during Adrenaline. It is an endgame perk with a one time use, no need for a nerf. Most Freddy players are brain dead as it is and chase the obsession the entire round trying to get those six tokens for Remember Me. At least on PS4, that is one reason most Freddy players don’t do well. Freddy is surprisingly one of the killers I do BEST with. Seems as though I do good with weak killers (Freddy/Wraith).

Make it so Freddy always sees survivors auras when he is transitioning one into the dream world and shorten the transition.

Freddy has a weak playstyle and he is extremely boring to play against. He’ll never be a top tier killer.

  • What I learned when I was new to the game was the “toxic build” of Decisive Strike, Adrenaline, Sprint Burst, and Self Care which has been my main four perks on Meg for the longest time, it works for me. Although I don’t play like an ass and teabag at every pallet and flashlight click. Probably going to change DS for the new Deliverance perk when it releases.

Although on Claudette I can be a little bit more of a stealthy ninja since she is already very hard to find. Self Care, Iron Will, Calm Spirit, and Quick and Quiet work very well on her and you can hide in the most obvious of places.

  • I hate when my teammates DC back to back to back. One time the killer was a Leatherface and everybody disconnected before he even got one hit in. At that point I gave myself up, no point in continuing.

One of the only situations I don’t blame the survivor for DC’ing is BM by the killer who is bodyblocking the basement and holding the game hostage but I’ve only seen that maybe once.
