Pipping up as survivor is ungodly. Out of the 30 or so games I have played in the past few days as survior, I have pipped up once. :/
I’ve been stationary at Rank 9. I don’t mind a challenge to pip but it is a little overboard on how you pip as both killer and survivor.
-
Imma do the whole cast
Dwight- He is a pizza boy. Doubtful he is wealthy.
Meg- Was offered scholarships, but never mentioned she was wealthy.
Claudette- Never stated
Jake- Wealthy
Nea- Doubtful
Ace- Grew up poor
Feng- Doubtful
David- Wealthy
Kate- She was a singer so it is a possibility. Probably middle class
Adam- He’s a teacher so probably middle class.
Jeff- Doubtful
Jane- Pretty sure she was wealthy.
Not all the female cast are middle class, but I don’t know what you mean by “original cast”. The original four?

It's probably a bug tbh.
I think it was a bug when it was not implemented. I think it was intended because the yelps while falling have been found in the audio files of the game

The only killers who take actual skill to play are Nurse, Spirit, and Huntress. Every other killer is basically just an M1 killer with a different power.
Plague is similar to Huntress but doesn’t take as much precision.
Hag and Trapper you could argue due to trap placement. Trapper you just gotta get lucky and hope somebody actually steps into a trap. With Hag it’s a bit simpler than that.
That being said...if you are garbage at killer, Legion takes 0 skill. None whatsoever. Billy is also very easy.
-
I’m not playing her as much because I’m getting BP to put into her so I can P3 her. I can’t use her to farm BP because I don’t have BBQ and she gets very little BP compared to other killers. Her deviousness is not nearly enough.
I also don’t have my main build I want to use on her so I’m stuck using perks like MYC and Agitation.
-
Now you actually have to get a Merciless killing with the killer? Before all you had to do was sacrifice all four survivors. That would be kinda idiotic if they changed it because not all killers perks are viable enough in higher ranks because they can’t rely on Ruin or BBQ.

I would appreciate if you stop spreading those defamations.
You won't find any quote from me doing that.
So please stop personally attacking me instead of the argument (ad hominem).
The truth is, I do think about balance for both sides, but unlike you, I can see that the survivor side is favored to much. And if one side is to powerful, you need to speak up to nerf them. That's how balance works.
The issue is that survivor player here in the forum always want survivor stuff balanced around bad player, but killer stuff balanced around good player.
Stop the doublestandards and we can have a decent debate.
But personal attacks like yours, just show that you do not want that.
You bring double-standards...when many of your posts are full of double-standards.
There are bad survivors and bad killers, they’ll learn eventually or stop playing. Everything should be balanced around players who aren’t actually potatos, that goes for both survivors and killers.
Survivors. Do. Not. Need. Any. More. Nerfs.
There is nothing in their base kit nor any perk that is going to allow them to get away from a killer for five generators. If you find a survivor to be good and you chase them for five minutes then that is ALL the killers fault.
The game used to favor survivors heavily but nowadays it does not. It does very slightly favor SWF but not solo survivor.
The past few patches have been heavily killer sided, which isn’t a bad thing. It’s how it needs to be. It doesn’t need to be general killer buffs though. They need to focus on specific killer reworks like Freddy and Leatherface.
That’s just how I feel and if don’t agree then I don’t know what else to say 🤷🏼♂️

Try to find any post I said something like that.
Unpolite people would call you a liar for something like that.
If somebody doesn’t agree with you then you jump down their throats and call them stupid because you’re too vain and ignorant to think about balance on both sides.
Killer should be what their name implies, a killer. Some are and some aren’t. The ones that aren’t need changes. Some are in a perfect place. The game as whole is the most balanced it’s ever been by far. Survivors are not OP nor are killers.
Whether you think I’m a liar or not, I do not care. Not in the slightest. You’ve never been polite, I give the same attitude I get.

I'm a survivor main and I think that the killers have a more stressful job than the survivors do. I've always found it strange when I see people complaining about survivors being nerfed and how killers are becoming too OP, have you actually played as a killer before? It can seem pretty easy during the low ranks, but once you start reaching the single digits, it can be like torture. 😂
Killers definitely have the more stressful job because they have four different players to worry about. They have more to do in a rounds while survivors only have to hold M1. It can be torture to reach red ranks.
However I don’t believe survivors are OP. A good killer can easily stop survivors from escaping if they really wanted to. If they wanted to play sweaty then a 4K is easy to achieve depending on the killer. Killer are not OP either though. It comes down to both sides whining and complaning about little things that trigger them. If I get sacrified or 3 survivor escape from me, I’m not gonna complain. I was simply outplayed.
-
Play her like Hillbilly with Vile Purge. Play her like Huntress with Corrput Purge.
With increased effectiveness add-ons she can get a survivor to broken with one stream. Get on the survivors tail like Hillbilly and hit them then you can down them once they get to broken.
Once you get Corrupted Purge it’s just like playing Huntress.
-
The way it goes in terms of power goes
- A great top tier killer
- A good SWF group
- Any other killer
- Solo survivor
I’m not a survivor main. I’ve actually been playing killer more recently but I play 50/50. I play both sides which is more than anybody can say about you.
Of course the killer should have fun, but so should the survivors. It’s a thing called balance. Some killers are terribly underpowered and that needs a change for sure, but unlike you I’m not screaming for killers to be unbeatable. I can play Spirit and get a 4K every time if I really wanted to play sweaty if I wanted survivors to have an awful time.
Maybe YOU’RE the one that needs to stop being so entitled. If you weren’t such an jackass, your opinion would be taken more seriously by people. Ever think about that?
-
Ace and Jeff.
Ace just looks like a sleazy douchebag.
Jeff just doesn’t do it for me. He’s so bland. Although his grunting noises on the ground are hilarious.
The other male characters are well designed except Adam.
I like all the female characters design wise except Laurie. She looks like a horse.
-
Used to be Meg. Now I lean towards Kate and Nea
-
The game is not HEAVILY survivor sided at all. A few killers got butthurt over the fact that they lost. Nobody is entitled to a win killer nor survivor.
A good SWF group will probably beat any killer besides a great Nurse, Billy, or Spirit. A realy good SWF is a little bit more powerful than a killer. Some players are really great a certain killers though and can still destroy a team. An altruistic SWF will more than likely lose, that’s why I love to see SWF going for saves because nobody is on a generator. I’d much rather see four flashlights than four toolboxes.
I usually play solo. Solo survivors are at the bottom of the totem pole. The weakest of the bunch.

Why? I don't get that logic. I have a wallpaper on my computer that's a character from Overwatch, even though I've never touched the game. Pictures are just pictures.
People usually use their favorite killer/survivor as their profile picture, which is the reason I have Spirit as mine.
If I was any good at Nurse I would use her but ya know, console Nurse = the worst time of your life.

Low tank here, but you’re right I’m just screwing around getting a feel for spit aiming and getting used to her height.
She gets even taller when charging and using her power. She’s even taller than the corn stalks on Coldwind maps.

She is faster in a straight line but taking in vomit slows her down and after using it slows her down again.
I would argue she's even easier to loop than Huntress is.
I dunno if i just have bad depth perception but i found Huntress hatchets easier to use than the vomit, might need more time ofc.
A lot of people play Huntress like a potato because they can’t ain hatchets. I’m decent with her but I play on console so I get screwed over by FPS a lot. That’s one reason I’ll choose Plague over Huntress personally. It’s just easier.
A Huntress that can hit hatchets is superior to Plague with Vile Purge.
A Plague that has Corrupt Purge which pretty much has no way of being avoided if she is on your tail is superior to a Huntress that has to throw two hatchets to down you. Corrupt Purge doesn’t take much effort. Plus Plague can also injure multiple survivors with the same stream of Corrupt Purge.
Iridescent Head Huntress is THE best however.
Since Corrupt Purge isn’t going to be your main form of attack since you won’t always have it, I still put Plague below Huntress but she isn’t far off. She can be just as effective as Huntress but with a much lower skill cap.
-
@Wolf74 said:
Haha... everybody is complaining about Nurse and Billy are the only killer played, but say they don't play them. ;)
I rarely see Nurse on console. She’s very difficult to play with low FPS on console and her power isn’t all that easy to learn so people are kinda pushed away from her.
Billy I still still quite a lot of. Not as much as before. All I see is Legion after Legion after Legion. Barf.

@Poweas said:
She's got a bunch of bugs where she's no longer silent when she activates her power or vaults. She makes a loud glass cracking noise, 100% don't play her unless your prepared to lose. They should fix it soon.
Is that on the survivor side though. When she activates her power or vaults over a window I hear a loud glass breaking sound while playing Spirit but I’m not sure if survivor hear that or not.
The only thing that REALLY annoys me is that when she is stunned her meter on her power resets. That is really stupid. There was no reason to change Spirit at all, she was great as is.
I still did great with Spirit however. I played a couple of rounds with her and did the same as I always do. I just don’t like the changes.

1 stream with an addon that im guessing will be her Red?
To make her the same as the huntress? except they can run to any fountain to get rid of it.
I would put her down with The Legion i don't feel any pressure playing against her at all.
It's just loop away until you finally get broken then just break off the chase and run to a fountain, her range is pretty short and unlike huntress if it's green it can't down you without an LC, so you don't even have to break the loop.
It's basically like playing with No Mither
No...her ultra rare add-ons aren’t good. She has a yellow, green, and purple add-on that increases the amount of sickness dealt with Vile Purge. The purple one is really good.
Plague is A LOT easier to play than Huntress and Corrupt Purge is stronger than Huntress hatchets (except Iridescent Head). She is also faster than Huntress.
However I won’t deny Huntress takes WAY more skill and is arguably better.

@Seamus_McKraken said:
Yeah I noticed something like this earlier only there wasn't any kind of visual notification, the power just wouldn't charge for a while. It's pretty crippling actually; 110% speed, not being able to use your powers and it screws over her own Spirit Fury perk.
Imagine if Huntress dropped all her hatchets on a stun or you couldn't chainsaw after one, this isn't a fair change to Spirit's mechanics (if it's intended, there's no patch notes for this as far as I can see)
All three of the recent killers (Spirit, Legion, Plague) are similar in the sense where if they are stunned by a pallet, they lose all their charge on their power. Plague actually lose all of her Corrupted Purge. Spirit can’t phase walk until the bar is fully charged. Legion on the other hand can use up whatever charge they have left on their power. I just don’t find it fair that Spirit and Plague both got the short end of the stick in that ordeal.
-
Definitely bugged. I’m on PS4 and I escaped with Jane using her three perks and get a 4K with Plague using her three perks and I didn’t get the trophy. I’m not sure if it is only the adept trophies because I did get the trophy for completing the generator in the basement of the temple.

Not quite.
You're forgetting with addons leatherface can move faster with his chainsaw than 115.
The Plague also slows down when using the projectile and after finishing vomiting.
The infection takes too long to build unless you tunnel but it takes 2 pukes to injure someone and stage 1 cannot down people at all.
Powered up, makes her the same as a huntress except she trades range for movement speed.
Personally i would take LF over The Plague any day of the week.
You’re also forgetting that with add-ons, The Plague’s Vile Purge can inflict the broken status effect in one stream.
Plague is easily on the level on Myers, maybe even better.
Leatherface is one of the worst killers in the gane
-
- Nurse simply because I’m on console and I can’t play her to save my life
- Legion...do I need to say more?
- Billy because I see him A LOT and I’m sick of seeing him. It’s too easy to play him. Hug a survivors butt and instantly down them. Especially with the tuning guide and primer bulb, it’s so easy to play as Billy.
I also rarely play Trapper and Freddy, they are just boring to me. I would play Pig and LeatherDaddy but I need to get better perks on them :/

Yeah, something is off.
You didn't change PS accounts/create a new user ID, right?
I've loaded mine on a friends PS4 and my stuff comes through.
It fixed itself after about an hour or so. DBD isn’t saved to a cloud so you can’t upload any save files. It is saved directly onto their server so it can take a hot second for it to actually register. I can’t tell you how happy I was to hear Myers breathing again on my screen after opening up DBD.
-
I want to Prestige 3 all my killers but that takes a LONG time so I’ll probably only do the ones I frequently play. I already P3 Spirit. The other ones would be Myers, Huntress, and Hag. Possibly Plague if I like her enough. I LOVE her lore and the way she looks.

@MegMain98 Yea that's what I'm saying. If you can only win with PB Spirit then you are not a good Spirit. Same applies to every powerful add-on. A truly good killer would be able to win games consistently without add-ons or with yellows at most.
I play with duration/recovery or duration/speed add-ons. Greens are usually all I need to beat even the best groups. Amulet is overrated IMO. Yea it's like 3 yellow add-ons in 1, but you really are better off using green because they boost the specific stats more (considerably compared to moderately). In fact I aim for green add-ons for all my killers, I only use purple/pink for specific builds or if it looks like a really strong group of survivors (eg. 4 toolboxes).
The easiest way to beat PB Spirit is to just always be on the move or have tabs on where she is. Killer detection perks crush it pretty hard. I make a habit of doing a gen for 10 seconds then changing sides, or just moving to another gen entirely. It wastes time but it's a lot safer than sitting on the gen to get grabbed. Also you should aim for gens near corn or tall grass so that you can see her moving. I notice a lot of times when these Spirit players get survivors that know how to beat PB they just come out as awful killers.
Her green add-ons are amazing. The Dirty Uwabaki is probably my favorite. I usually use the Muddy Sports Cap and one of the Tailsman.
I don’t think the amulet is overrated, but it’s not her BEST add-on. The best is easily the Wakazashi Saya. Her pink add-ons aren’t useful. If you can follow the wonky scratch marks you don’t need to see the blood. The Mother-Daughter Ring would be good, but not seeing scratch marks is a VERY heavy setback that makes the add-on bad IMO.
The only time I really use Prayer Beads is if I do a Thrill/Ruin build and wanna do a totem grab build. However I find it not to be worth it. You might get one or two grabs but once they know you have PB they won’t touch them.
Getting within terror radius is usually good enough. I can’t tell you how many times I pulled someone off of the gen at the top of the Myers house when it is a one person generator. They expect to see you coming up the stairs.
-
In no particular order....
Plagues’ incense burner.
Nurses’ giant bonesaw with the black and white bride outfits
Spirits’ Ōdachi
Myers’ kitchen knife
Hags’ claw
Huntress’ Hallowed Blight Axe
-
The most basic killers that take little work to play would be Trapper, Wraith, Billy, and Myers. I started off with Myers and Doctor and did pretty decently. After you feel comfortable with the basic killers you could try killers like Clown and Hag.
Nurse, Spirit, and Huntress probably have the highest skill caps.
Best perks are Ruin, BBQ, Nurses Calling, Enduring, Spirit Fury, and Whispers.
When you cycle through all the killers you’ll find the one you play and like the best.
-
@Wolf74 said:
If both player are on the same skilllevel, the survivor will win.
A mediocre survivor can still loop a good killer. That's the issue.
Survivor like to think that they are superior and "deserve" to win, but in fact the whole game is rigged in their favor, but they do not want to admit it, because that would question their own skill.
Some map layouts just suck my dude. The designs are flawed and very loopable.
Some loops need a serious rework. Of course survivors are gonna have an advantage on the Ironworks loop, Red Forest house, the barn on Coldwind, and ESPECIALLY the Mount Ormond house. I’m not disagreeing with that. Those loops need to be reworked because it is ridiculous on how easy it is to loop killers that aren’t named Nurse.
It’s not an issue of survivors having an ego about being superior. Certain loops are WAY too strong, but do you expect a survivor to go to a strong loop or out in the middle of nowhere? It’s stupid to think survivors aren’t gonna use the loops to their advantage.
A survivor will only win depending on the killer. If you’re facing off against an excellent Nurse, Spirit, Billy, or even Hag then you are pretty much screwed.

Probably because there are a lot of bad Spirit players out there that can't win unless they use PB. It's a fun add-on to use for jump scare builds but when you rely on it as the only means of catching survivors then you aren't a very good Spirit player.
Same could be said for ANY killers most powerful add-on. If you HAVE to use 5 blinks on Nurse, Iridescent Head Huntress, Insta-Saw Billy, Frank’s Mix Tape, Mint Rag/Rusty Shackles combo, etc...you’re probably not a very good killer. It’s fun to use Prayer Beads sometimes but I rarely use them unless I’m in the mood. I use Spirit’s yellow and green add-ons most of the time and I do just fine. Even the brown add-ons are fine.
It’s okay to use any of the killer’s most powerful add-ons but if you HAVE to use them to do good as that killer then you’ll never learn how to use their base power. You’ll eventually run out of those add-ons.
Prayer Beads are good for jumpscares and disconnects but they aren’t always needed. A lot of times I have noticed a Spirit phasing towards me with PB simply because I could hear her footsteps.
-
I believe Spirit is better than Billy but not Nurse. Simply because Nurse doesn’t have to respect pallets and can blink through walls and floors. Spirit has to hope to mind game survivors and still has to respect pallets to some extent. Spirit is still on par with Nurse though but Nurse is still a tad bit better.
-
@Poweas said:
Yeah I think she's above Nurse honestly. It's quite obvious. Just take a look at Tryhard beads or the Wakizashi Saya or Yakuyoke Amulet? They make her stronger than a Nurse with 5 blinks. And don't even get me started on the situation when you combine them...
I don’t understand why people call them “Tryhard Beads”. I don’t have an issue with that add-on at all.

Being chased by the killer is supposed to be dangerous for the survivor. The killer is supposed to be a threat. Survivors should never be able to get into a situation where the least ######### move for the killer is to just ignore them.
It is dangerous to get in a chase with a killer if the player is great with that killer. Get into a chase with a good Nurse or Spirit and tell me how long you last.
You can’t expect every survivor is going to be braindead and go down easily. Some actually lose the killer and break line of sight and some are just very good at surviving. A mediocre killer will get looped till daylight by an excellent survivor because the survivor is simply better. This goes both ways. An excellent killer will destroy a mediocre team easily.
One thing I will say is that the gens get done WAY too fast. If the generator progression wasn’t as fast then it would help a lot of issues with games going too fast.
You will not always 4K nor escape every round. It’s a PVP game. Have fun and stop complaining about you. This isn’t directed directly toward you, it’s just a general statement.
-
It is an asymmetrical game. A good killer (especially a Nurse or Spirit) will typically win most of their rounds because they are highly powerful killers.
Asymmetrical means that the one power role is equal to the four non-power roles. If the four non-power roles work as a cohesive unit, they will stand a much better chance of winning the match. Four good players will more than likely have at least one escape except in the case of it being one of the top tier killers and the player is really good at that specific killer.
Other factors come into play as well such as how good the player is at a certain killer, the map, how good the survivors are at loops, etc...sometimes we all have potato rounds and it doesn’t end up in our favor and that’s okay. You’re not meant to get a 4K nor escape every single round. I’m very good with Spirit and sometimes I kill all four with five gens left and even sometimes all four escape through the exit gate. I’m not gonna be butthurt about it and complain that the survivors were OP.
There is also a thing called balance. Killers can’t be TOO powerful or the survivors would stance no chance at all. The game is in a better state now than it has ever been balance wise.
-
I struggle on that map as any killer. The bamboo is super thick and dense, it is very easy to hide in. It is an immersed players dreamworld. I still prefer Yamaoka over most farm maps however.
-
Ruin, BBQ, Nurses Calling, Surveillance, Enduring, Spirit Fury, Brutal Strength, and Discordance are probably the most meta killer perks. Monitor and Abuse and Bamboozle are great as well. I honesty think Deerstalker is an underrated perk. I use Deerstalker a lot because I am pretty bad at spotting survivors on the ground if I have to start slugging.
-
Absolutely not. They need a complete rework.
-
Realistically it would be Trapper because he is the poster boy. He is just so blamd though. The coolest killer would be Huntress probably. Imagine her throwing hatchets in Mortal Kombat.
-
It’s good for killers that have weak tracking like Nurse, Huntress, and Leatherface but it’s kinda overkill when you have good tracking killers like Spirit and Wraith. Wraith has an add-on that makes it so blood is more discernible and Spirit has an add-on that shows blood while phasing.
My point is that Bloodhound is only really needed for certain killers. Most killers benefit from the more meta perks.
-
Depends on who you tunnel. If the team is VERY altruistic, tunneling usually works. Get one out of the way early on and having a 3V1 with 4 or 5 gens left is a lot easier to handle.
If the team is objective focused then tunneling will usually not work.
This also goes for camping. Altruistic teams feed campers while objective based teams punish campers.

Huntress is high tier though lol. (to me at least)
I would say Huntress is high tier but undoubtedly the Top 4 killers are Nurse, Spirit, Billy, and Hag. All have insane map control and pretty much everybody agrees that they are the top tier killers. I just wouldn’t want to overcrowd the Top Tier killer list. Huntress is definitely next in line after those four.
-
As long as they are fun to play. I’m more drawn to complex (Spirit, Huntress, Plague) but I do also like some simple ones like Wraith and Myers.
-
She CAN be A tier easily with a few tweaks. Right at the moment I’d put her at mid tier right behind Myers and Huntress.
-
Aesthetic wise a 10 easily. They put so mich effort into her appearance and I cannot wait to see what cosmetics she has.
Gameplay wise is a 5. She needs tweaks ESPECIALLY the insta heal at fountains. She shouldn’t have to travel to Antarctica to gain Corrupt Purge.

Okay, yet you're still not making sense as this has nothing to do with "unfair balance". Also, yes, it's for strategy. It allows you to get far away enough to another loop and not allow the killer to follow right behind. Yes they can hear you and move toward your general direction, but it won't be as precise as if they could see so they won't gain as much distance on you.
Also, uh, your name means nothing. I can name myself Michael Myers, it doesn't mean I'm him. I can name myself "governor of Utah" aswell.
Yeah...that Ace that just blinded you through 5 pallets and flickered his flashlight wanting you to chase him is doing it for “strategic purposes only”. Okay, that makes so much sense.
My point is that it’s not needed for Hag or Spirit to be as susceptible to blinds as the taller killers. First of all it makes sense as they are shorter. Second of all, why are you complaining about such a little thing when there are MUCH bigger balancing issues to focus on?
You can still blind Hag and Spirit through pallets anyways, blind the top of their head and they’ll become blind if you REALLY want to troll the killer. Put in the effort and then maybe you’ll get the outcome you want, don’t just aimlessly shine the light at their face.
You can insinuate that I mainly play Meg and Spirit by my profile picture and name. I play both equally. YOU were the one that assumed that I played mainly killer so I told you otherwise and I gave you the reason. If didn’t know, well now you do.
-
@PigMainBigBrain said:
Spirit is easily countered just run....dead ass just run and try to find multipaths that split your footprints, certain hallways and doors etc where you can easily confuse her tracking. If you stand still you will die. If you're injured already and try to pull a backtrack by crouching back into your footprints you will die. If you try to camp a pallet, you will die. Drop the pallet, move on to the next one. End the chase with a window because she can't do anything against windows.....
It’s mainly a guessing game on both sides. I love when survivors turn back and think The Spirit doesn’t know. That’s one of the easiest ways to catch somebody.
It also depends on how good the player is at following scratch marks.
-
Easily Legion and Freddy. Based on the way players play these two and the way they are intended to be played.
Bing Bong Boi is up there too, because 9/10 Wraith matches the player will NEVER stray too far away from the hook because it’s too easy to defend the hook especially in the basement.
I like playing as her, but I do not playing against a Spirit.
