    1) Survivors having dumb stuff is no excuse for killers to have dumb stuff. Gen rushing needs a fix, but that's not the topic. The topic is Prayer Beads. Also toolboxes have limited use which is why they don't have drawbacks. PB does not have limited use and is WAY more powerful than a toolbox.

    2) Spirit phase walk DOES NOT MOVE GRASS OR CORN. People need to stop saying this. Watch next time a Spirit moves around you will see the grass does not move. Crows are the only thing that react to phase walk and they aren't everywhere on the map.

    3) Like I said several times, Spine Chill/Prem do not actually fix the issue I'm talking about, that being that the counter play is to basically play super cautious and immersed, doing a whole lot of nothing for most of the game.

Corn and grass do move, they don’t move significantly but you will see it move if Spirit is phase walking. It wouldn’t make sense if it didn’t move.

I’ve known when a Spirit is phase walking with Prayer Beads due to the footsteps but it is SUPER quiet.

I’m not defending Prayer Beads because it does need a rework. I believe that you should always hear the footsteps, similar to Wraith’s while he is invisible. The Spirit’s breathing should also be amplified a little.

I still say its a wait and see game. But probally will be funner micheal. Just like spirit is funner versiom of wraith.

I don’t see how Spirit is ANYTHING like Wraith besides the fact that they can both go invisible at certain points. Spirit is more like Nurse than Wraith to me.

  • Every Pig I go against tunnels the player with the trap on their head. Pig is weak but not a very fun killer to play against.

  • Not much you can do. Billy’s power is brain dead easy. Basically spoon feeding the killer a win.

All you can do is get to loops and don’t run in a straight line.

Love Sidney and she is one of the BEST final girls out of any horror movie EVER but I still believe Laurie THE ultimate final girl.

Let’s just hope if they do add Sidney they don’t make her look like horse like they did Laurie.

Damn...I just realized this comment was from a year ago. I’m such a big brain.

If they add a survivor it NEEDS to be Sidney Prescott. She's literally known as the ultimate final girl.

  • It can be extremely disorienting for survivors but the only killer I run Distressing on is Doctor for obvious reasons. I don’t like Distressing otherwise because I run into WAY too many survivors who lick walls, crouch by the corners of the map, and are extremely immersed. It’s so boring.

I would much rather run a small terror radius build than a large terror radius build.

I’ll run M&A on Hag. I like it on Hag because it gives her a very small terror radius and it is very easy to sneak up on survivors without them running away so quickly.

  • Favorite- Haddonfield, Springwood, Blood Lodge, and both Red Forest maps.

Least favorite- Lery’s, Shelter Woods, Suffocation Pit, Ormond, and The Game

The swamp maps can either go really good or really bad

  • Trapper- Gives me anxiety because traps could be ANYWHERE. Still not bad though

Wraith- Never had good experiences with Bing Bong, most are campers and they ALWAYS bring NOED

Billy- Extremely boring to go against. “Oh wow I got one shot again, such a fun chase”

Nurse- I don’t mind, I play on console so most I go against struggle.

Myers- My favorite to go against but I hate it as of late. I’ve been going against the same dude that always plays Myers and camps the hook

Hag- I love going against a Hag

Doctor- Gives me a migraine. Hate it

Huntress- So many Huntresses I go against are so laggy. Also I run into so many Iridescent Heads. I hate her as well.

Leatherface- Pretty much an easy escape unless you go into the basement

    Freddy- I don’t mind

    Pig- Always hated her

    Clown- I don’t mind

Spirit- Love playing her, hate going against her

    Legion- ......no

Plague- Most Plagues are so boosted. She’s fine though

I would agree that those 3 are the top killers. I wouldn't go as far as to say "she wipes the floor with Billy". They have different strengths.

"she doesn’t NEED them to be good."

She does against GOOD survivors. That is the key part.

"You can run Iridescent Head and 4K every time but does that make Huntress add-on reliant?"

You are making a strawman argument. I never made that equivalent assumption in my Spirit claim. I never have nor would I make that claim.

You are misunderstanding what I am saying.

Ehh...Billy is just too easy to pick up and play. He doesn’t really take much skill to play. A permanent insta-down with extreme map pressure doesn’t make for much competition. Spirit doesn’t “wipe the floor with Billy” as I stated earlier but I do think she’s better.

Depends on how good YOU are as the killer. You can use brown add-ons and still easily kill them all, it’s not that hard. Of course things can change that like what map you get (any killer will probably win on Shelter Woods and any killer will more than likely lose on Haddonfield), pallet RNG, are they good players, SWF or not, etc. Most killers will probably need add-ons against players who are actually good, not exactly their strongest add-ons. I just don’t think Spirit is one of them. You don’t need a Wakizashi Saya and an Amulet each round to win.

No, you didn’t say that...but what you did say was that Spirit holds more power in her add-ons that most killers do. Huntress is the same way, but it doesn’t exactly make her add-on reliant. I was trying to state that just because a killer has strong add-ons doesn’t mean they depend on those add-ons.

Plague uses her foot and Nurse closes it with her hand.

I knew for certain that Nurse had a unique animation but I assumed Plague also had a unique animation since she doesn’t break pallets with her foot, she uses her weapon.

  • I’ve seen Spirit and Hag while playing them last night, they are really cool especially Spirit.

I’m also assuming that Nurse and Plague have a unique one that isn’t just closing the hatch with their foot. Does anybody have a clip of either one of them closing the hatch?

"She's the best killer in the whole game with some of her addons."

"being addon reliant means that she can't perform well without addons"

"she's better than an instasaw Billy without addons"

I disagree with all of these.

Spirit is easily the second best killer in the game. Not as strong as Nurse but she wipes the floor with Billy. You can loop a good Billy, you can never loop a good Spirit.

Being reliant basically means that you dependent on something to make you good, not that “she hold more power with her add-ons in relation to the majority of other killers”. She has the strongest add-ons in the game but she doesn’t NEED them to be good.

Same goes with killers like Huntress. You can run Iridescent Head and 4K every time but does that make Huntress add-on reliant?

  • I’m loving the Pig cosmetics. It’s new and refreshing to have a licensed character with cosmetics. Hopefully it means that we can see new cosmetics for Leatherface, Freddy, and Myers. Also would love new Laurie cosmetics as well.

  • @GrootDude said:

@MegMain98 Wraith isn’t add-on dependent, I have no problem playing him without add-ons.

Some people don’t have an issue with Wraith without add-ons and that is great. I just say he is add-on dependent because he doesn’t NEARLY have as much map pressure without Windstorm. He is slow and can’t patrol gens as easily.

Some people say Spirit is add-on dependent but I disagree so if you don’t think Wraith needs add-ons then that’s all good :)

I 4k at rank 1 regularly with no addons, that doesn't mean she isn't heavily addon dependent. All that means is there are a lot of bad survivors at high ranks.

If you’re good with Spirit she needs no add-ons. Add-ons only increase her viability. Some killers have add-ons that don’t really help too much (Hag) and some killers NEED add-ons (Wraith). Spirit has some of the strongest add-ons in the game, but she is already a strong killer. It’s like using add-ons with Nurse, it only makes them that much more deadly.

Add-ons help Spirit don’t get me wrong, but she is in no way reliant on add-ons to 4K especially if you've mastered her.

  • Depends on what I feel like that day. Some days I DREAD playing killer so I won’t even touch it. Some days I really don’t want to play with boosted teammates.

I’d say about 65% of my hours on DBD have been survivor though. I am a way better survivor than killer. Survivor is definitely my strong suit.

@MegMain98 I once had racism because I'm a muslim after losing as Billy lol. Next day, I ran into the SWF again, and used Spirit and didn't use any addons, but my pretty OP build (Thanatophobia, STBFL, Surveillance and A Nurses calling) and my god, I just crushed them. Effortlessly XD.

    Shoulda saw the salt XD.

Prayer Beads are broken but I only use them if there is a team that I know likes to be complete douches to the killer. I pair it with an Ebony to make their game as miserable as possible.

I CAN easily kill all of them with no add-ons but I like to make toxic SWF groups have as bad of a game as possible.

I have 40+ with 30+ Black Wards. If I dump my BP into Spirit I could easily play 100 games in a row with Prayer Beads every time.

Also you lack reading comprehension as I state the problem is it makes the game lame. I adapt but what you have to do to beat this add-on is boring and not fun.

Agreed. It’s pretty easy to rack up purple add-ons. I have 30 Wakizashi Sayas on Spirit. I had a million BP that was used to prestige Hag but if I dumped all my BP just getting more add-ons on my Spirit I could easily have over 70 Sayas, not to mention all my Black Wards.

Prayer Beads give cheap grabs. I like using them for teams I know like to BM the killer but they aren’t fun to go against. It’s pretty much an easy 4K using them. If you wanna be even more of a try-hard pair it with an Ebony Mori.

@MegMain98 "When did I ever say that Nurse was a bad killer on console? I never said she WASN’T the best killer in the game. She is. What I was saying was that she is not AS viable on console as she is on PC because the frame rates on console are ass. I play on console, I know how bad the frame rates are. I’ve even had the game run like it was in stop motion at one time and I just had to stop playing."

She is as viable, that's my point. I know Nurse players that are really good and are ALWAYS very difficult to play against. Also, you play on PS4 yes? Xbox frame rates are bad too but if you have Xbox One X it makes a HUGE difference in frame rates. PC Nurse might ultimately be better, yes, but that doesn't mean console Nurse is that much worse. The differences is very minimal at most, and mostly comes down to the map (Haddonfield and Lery's are generally bad for killer frame rates, but that's it really).

I never get bad frame rates on those maps. My frames drop significantly on Ormond and Red Forest due to the snow and rain :/

Nurse is the best killer, yes. I just don’t see a purpose in practicing her when frames can screw you over. The learning curve doesn’t make it much better. I WANT to be better at Nurse because I love her lore and her look but I’m just awful.

If somebody plays Nurse on console and is good with her then that is great...keep doing what you’re doing. I personally just can’t play her because PS4 probably has the worst frame rates of all platforms. That is why I mainly see Billy, Spirit, and Myers at high ranks. Sometimes I see Huntress but she can be pretty wonky to due to frames.

  • The killers that I usually cap my Deviousness points with are Wraith, Spirit, Doctor, and sometimes Hag.

Only killers I can’t recommend is Plague and Pig

  • @Chicagopimp2019 said:

I save prayer beads for those matches when I recognize toxic survivors from prior games in my lobby. Otherwise, i tend to do a lot more short phases just to catch up with looping survivors.

Agreed. I was playing Hag and the last three survivors had a key a teabagged me and escaped.

I ran into them again about two rounds later. Needless to say the Laurie and two Claudette’s did not have a fun time. I threw on Prayer Beads and an Ebony Mori. Think again before you teabag the killer because you might run into them again.

You are making the assumption that just because most Nurse players are bad on console that Nurse is a bad killer on console. No she is still the best killer, it's just most players never put in the time to learn her because it's a bit more difficult than on PC. Majority of Nurse players on Xbox play at low ranks and tend to get bullied by derankers (or are just flat out not good killers in general). That brings down her average kill rate, but it's not proof she is bad, just proof that most players don't care to put in the time to learn how to play her properly.

When did I ever say that Nurse was a bad killer on console? I never said she WASN’T the best killer in the game. She is. What I was saying was that she is not AS viable on console as she is on PC because the frame rates on console are ass. I play on console, I know how bad the frame rates are. I’ve even had the game run like it was in stop motion at one time and I just had to stop playing.

With all the lag and bad frame rates on console it doesn’t help Nurse due to the precision you need for her.

Why would you spend hours on end trying to push through bad frames to play Nurse when you can easily pick up Billy, Spirit, or Hag who don’t take as much skill as Nurse? Some argue Spirit is hard to play but she isn’t as hard as Nurse and if she screws up her power it is still more forgiving than Nurse.

Nurse is surely the best killer but many players don’t have the patience to learn how she plays especially on console because it isn’t as smooth as PC. That’s what I’m getting at, not that Nurse is a bad killer. I NEVER made an assumption that Nurse was a bad killer, ever.

  • I’d honestly want a story mode type of game mode. One for each chapter.

  • Seems like a lot of killers wanna pull out their strongest builds during double BP. Why? I have no idea. I went against so many Iridescent Heads, Frank’s Mix Tapes, and Tombstones this past weekend. It honestly really annoying.

One Huntress even paired Iridescent Head with an ebony mori. Needless to say...all of us DC’ed.

  • She is great with nearly any build or perk.

    Chasing build? Perfect

    Slugging? One of the best

    Aura build? Amazing

    Anti-healing? Great

Gen protector? I’ll argue she is THE strongest alongside Hag

My build always stays at Ruin, BBQ, Nurses Calling, and Deerstalker. I tend to slug a survivor sometimes to lure others into being altruistic so Deerstalker mixed with Nurses Calling can be strong.

If you wanna use Surveillance I’d recommend doing a gen protector build. Ruin, Surveillance, Discordance, and Pop Goes The Weasel are probably your best options.

I haven’t been playing much Spirit though. I having been putting bloodpoints into her due to me having EVERYTHING on her and leveling up other killers. I don’t wanna use all my add-ons for Spirit.

  • @thesuicidefox said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/457112#Comment_457112

This is far from true. Nurse is not unplayable, except on Haddonfield because of frame rates. Trust me I know several TOP TIER Nurse players on Xbox and I face a few of them regularly. They will crush you as hard as any PC Nurse.

The reason Nurse has the lowest kill rate is because she is hard to learn. Most Nurse players on console are complete garbage, which brings down the average. If I could I would give you the names of some Nurse players on Xbox so you could see she is still the strongest killer on console. It's just, due to frame rates and controller sensitivity she is very hard to learn so most players never even come close to that level. But face someone that plays her all the time and you will see she is still the best killer in the game.

Key word, “several”. There are VERY few Nurse mains I see on PS4. Of course they’re good because they can work through bad frame rates and have had many hours of practice with Nurse. The reason she is so lowest on both consoles is because to the vast majority of the playerbase, she’s not as viable as PC. No, she isn’t UNPLAYABLE but most players would do better on PC as Nurse.

Console Nurse can be as dominant as PC Nurse but it’s not as easy and people don’t want to struggle playing her due to bad frame rates.

  • Why wouldn’t you cleanse yourself? You’re always gonna be a one shot with a 115% movement speed killer if you don’t. You’ll eventually die regardless. Plus if your other teammates cleanse themselves you’ll have to. It just leads to boring one shot chases if you don’t cleanse yourself, like going against a Billy.

  • The only thing that REALLY bothers me is when I’m on the hook and everybody is on the other side of the map crouching around doing NOTHING at all. No gens being done, Claudette self caring at the corner of the map, Nea urban evading around the map, Dwight hiding in a locker, Meg walking around saving her precious Sprint Burst...most of my teammates are useless.

  • She obviously has an advantage over all other survivors. If she has on dark clothing it is a nightmare. Having a Blendette on Coldwind, MacMillan, Yamaoka, Swamp, or even Haddonfield is a nightmare. That’s why a lot of killers lobby dodge if over half the lobby is playing Blendette.

  • I switch between all the female characters except Laurie. Seems like I have the best luck with Feng and Nea. I honestly do better with a more aggressive build that I can survive a chase longer than the stealthy build I have on Claudette.

While majority are not at red ranks it’s the only set of ranks that display really good survs, the rest don’t so trying to base a killer’s worth at any other rank set is pointless

Rank isn’t exactly meaningful though. You can easily be boosted at Rank 1 whether you are a killer or survivor. There is an obvious difference in skill between red ranks and Ranks 13-20. I’ve seen survivors who SHOULD be in red ranks but are only at Rank 9 because they derank themselves.

My point is that being in red ranks does not make a good player :/

  • @Orion said:

@MegMain98 Other than the obvious differences between a mouse and a joystick, that's because those kill rates aren't separated by rank. Obviously we need to look at rank 1-5 data only.

Agreed but the majority of players are not in red ranks. A lot of killers linger around purple and green because they wanna derank when they get to red ranks because lobbies start to get very slow because a majority of survivors are not in red ranks, then when you do get survivors a lot are Rank 15.

When they made it a lot of harder for survivors to rank up I was sitting in lobbies for 10 minutes at Rank 7. It’s not bad now but I think we should at LEAST look at Ranks 1-8.

  • I recommend getting them all the Level 40 and then prestiging the ones you really like. I like to complete everything so I am working on getting all my characters to P3 but I can see why some players only level up the ones they really like.

  • @BlazeNightash said:

Ss tier ya I’m done if you honestly think that. You clearly don’t know what killers are powerful

Why is Hag bad? She’s clearly as strong as Billy and NEARLY as strong as Nurse and Spirit.

She can snowball a team within a minute. Especially if you use Mint Rang and Rusty Shackles with Make Your Choice. She is as powerful as Spirit.

As @Poweas said, Hag is a top tier killer. There is no denying that. If you think she is ANYWHERE near the bottom of the list then you are the one clearly can’t tell the difference between which killers are powerful and which are not

  • @Orion said:

@BlazeNightash Hard data is more accurate than any one player's opinion.

Yet Nurse is obviously the best killer but has the lowest kill rate on PS4 AND Xbox. Due to Nurse being basically unplayable on console.

@MegMain98 quite right, but I didn't say we do (although there's the small notion that a lot of killers MUST use decent addons every game to have a chance, while survivors can be perfectly fine without any items). I'm currently running low on Smelly Inner Soles... does someone have a spare?

I just wanted to bring up that point because I’ve heard so many people claim that getting add-ons is hard work when it really isn’t. Same for survivors (although I can NEVER find keys in my bloodweb). It’s just RNG. Sometimes you’ll get 4 ebony moris in back to back to back to back in your bloodweb and sometimes you’ll get only one or two purple add-ons.

Certain killers can be add-on dependent against GOOD survivors but any killer can demolish potatoes. I usually go into my survivor matches without an item, I usually rely more-so on my perks.

If somebody had some spare Muddy Sports Caps or Talisman that would be much appreciated. I don’t wanna have to start using all my tryhard beads.

  • @George_Soros said:

Just like others said: we use it for that exact purpose, to destroy your item.

You say "I worked hard to find that item". Nah. You just clicked on a Bloodweb node. That's not hard work :)

While I agree...it goes vice versa. Killers don’t work hard to find their add-ons. Say that to my 30 ultra-rare Father’s Glasses and 27 Wakizashi Sayas with Spirit.

  • Doesn’t really affect me...I rarely bring in items unless I’m gonna prestige a survivor and I want to use the item. I typically hoard all my items until I have over 20 of each item

  • Blendettes are either extremely toxic or extremely immersed

Any Nea with a colorful outfit especially the pink/green hair and zebra pants

Meg players are either trying to bully the killer or they are just plain dumb. An IQ of 3000. Same with Laurie players.

Ash simply for Mettle of Man and taunting the killer

I rarely encounter Feng players who try and bully the killer. Usually they are easy pickings.

Killer wise it is easily Leatherface, Billy, and Myers. Pig is also up there in toxicity.

  • Depends on how the match is going.

One time...I hooked a Kate and a Jeff farmed her TWICE. I downed the Jeff, facecamped him and let the other three survivors farm bloodpoints. I hooked them all twice.

I just feel bad when a survivors game is awful due to another survivor farming them over and over again. I will punish the farmer and let the other survivors get bloodpoints.

If EVERYBODY brings in bloody party streamers then I probably will farm. No point in killing everybody super fast...I’d rather let everybody get a bunch of bloodpoints.

  • @CornChip said:

I don't know why they removed the directional sound on phasing. As a survivor you felt like you could use that sound, apply some of your own skill and try to counterplay. Im sure they could have buffed her walking speed to 115 like ezmode billy.

Now its just like, oh she went invisible. I'll just walk and hope. Oh she appeared and downed me from nowhere.. zzzzz.

The spirit is the most boring killer for me to vs as a survivor, Next to freddy/old legion.

She wasn’t that great on the PTB, she’s fine as it is now. Just because she’s strong doesn’t mean there is no counterplay. Iron Will and Spine Chill are great counterplay options.

If we wanna talk boring then Billy is easily the most boring. Rev your chainsaw and insta-down survivors. I’m falling asleep just thinking about it.

Passive phasing is meant to do that. Any ground a spirit gains on you with passive phasing is so small because she is 110%, getting hits with it is rare.

Does she even gain any distance AT ALL? Because I’ve never noticed it. The Spirit herself gets no indication of when she passive phases, she walks like any normal killer on her screen. It may seem like it on the survivor side but it’s an illusion.

I may be wrong but I don’t see how that makes sense because she isn’t passive phasing on her screen.

Springwood and Haddonfield are the only maps in which I always concede some generators because some areas are simply not worth it to patrol.

Disturbed Ward too tbh. Like jfc sometimes there are F O U R safe pallets inside the main building. Until you get rid of all of them the survivors are already waiting to tbag you at the gates.

Now, I'm curious. For diehard survivor mains over there, which maps do you hate the most? I play survivor too, but I haven't noticed that big a difference between most maps, except for the survivor favored ones. It'd be nice to have some perspective on your side.

I mainly play Spirit so no map is too incredibly hard since it’s a bit harder to loop a Spirit and she is one of the best killers in the entire game.

Other than Haddonfun and Springwood, I HATE Disturbed Ward. I generally don’t like corn maps simply because I lose survivors easily through the corn. Yamaoka is bad as well. Ormond isn’t that bad but it’s a lesser map for Spirit because it is super hard to see scratch marks and auras. I don’t think anybody likes the hospital, survivor or killer.

When I play survivor there isn’t many maps that I go “dammit I hate this map”. The only map I really don’t like is Shelter Woods because there is NO building on the ENTIRE map besides the killer shack. The Game is a hit or miss. As I said earlier, nobody likes the hospital. Getting Disturbed Ward, Haddonfun, or Springwood is usually an EZ win...those maps are very heavily survivor sided.

  • @gantes said:

I think there are just as many total bullshit zones as dead zones, so wheh you play each side it always seems that the game is screwing you over.

Mother's Dwelling as survivor and Disturbed Ward as killer come to mind.

Mother’s Dwelling isn’t too bad as a bullshit zone but Disturbed Ward is literally the worst. The middle building can literally be an infinite at times.

Don’t even get me started on Springwood and Haddonfun.

There aren’t too many dead zones unless you drop every pallet super quickly. Although MacMillan maps can be unforgiving on survivors with a lack of pallets, specifically Shelter Woods.

  • Spirit’s entire character design is supposed to be unpredictable. She’s not supposed to be able to be tracked that easily. Are you gonna complain that you can’t see her while phasing?

Nurse can blink through solid objects. Can any other killer do that?

Myers has the fastest vaulting speed in the game (not including Wraith’s vaulting speed while cloaked).

All killers have abilities that gives them a different playstyle and makes them unique.

Spirit is fine the way she is. I swear I hope the devs don’t listen to cries about Spirit being OP because I’ll be hurt if she is ever nerfed.

  • Nurse, Billy, and Spirit are not particularly balanced. They are easily the top tier killers and if you’re good with these killers (particularly Nurse and Spirit) there is no stoping you no matter how skillful the survivors are. If you are skillful with Nurse and Spirit you will mow through all survivors easily, their skill level is irrelevant.

The most balanced killers are Hag, Huntress, and Myers.

  • @Condorloco_26 said:

    @MegMain98

Precisely. Huntress and Billy are my main killers. PS4 by the way, so no nurse for me.

With Huntress I try to land the first hatchet from long range and then just finish them off at melee without engaging. With Billy I try for an "Interceptor" playstyle, BBQ, Bitter murmur, M&A, and try to surprise people away from looping spots/between gens. If I'm not able to down them, I just leave them injured and go look for another guy. I'll play Myers with insanely small terror radius too, trying to surprise people instead of chasing them for too long. LF can end chases real quick also, but your presence won't be felt map-wide.

There are a lot of maps where I don't even enter the main building in the whole match: Crotus, fractured cowshed, rancid abbatoir, grim pantry, temple of purgation, are the worst ones. I just concede the gen inside and save me the hassle of breaking 6 - 8 pallets there (Crotus) just to land a couple of hits. Whenever a survivor runs to those places, I know they're wasting time because there's no objective for them either, after the gen is done. Haddonfield is the worst map overall, I just go for the 3 gen strat right from the beginning.

I used to play a lot of Wraith, Piggy and Trapper, with 100% chase builds. But the increasing number of pallets lately and second chance perks just sucked the fun out of it.

I refuse to enter the main building on most maps. Once a survivor enters the asylum building I know they are gonna keep me busy for a solid three minutes because that building has so many pallets and windows. That is the worst building in the game because it is directly in the middle and a survivor can reach it from pretty much anywhere on the map.

I honestly hate Springwood more than Haddonfield. The boiler room is my least favorite area in the entire game. I die a little inside every time I get Springwood.

I do have a somewhat easy time when it comes to loops because I mainly play Spirit and I can traverse the map easily and fake out loops. Although I can be boosted and lose a survivor because scratch marks are horrible (ESPECIALLY on Ormond and Yamaoka). I can usually get a down or two within the first minute and a half of the game starting if the survivors are not extremely immersed.

However if I play Plague (my second main) I will definitely have a way harder time with loops than I would with Spirit.

I love Huntress but I also play on PS4 and I am AWFUL with hatchets throws, I waiting for the optimization patch and seeing if Nurse and Huntress turn out any better.

That would effectively tear down one (and arguably the strongest) of survivors' defenses against killers. The other 2 being stealth and loss of line of sight.

Unless you're also planning on placing 40 pallets on each map, removing scratchmarks and reworking all the aura reading perks, you're leaving survivors with no tools to, well, survive.

Even if I almost exclusively play killer, completely dislike the Tom & Jerry meta (I don't engage in chases longer than 10 seconds), and would welcome a whole different playstyle, I sadly believe 80 or 90% of the game revolves around looping. You would need to go back to the drawing board and release a whole different videogame.

Why would you not engage in chases though? It is understandable if you are on a map with good looping spots (Red Forest, Ironworks, Springwood, HADDONFIELD) or very safe pallets (The Game). However most killers will have to engage in longer chases to even put pressure on the map. Unless you’re Nurse, Spirit, or Billy your chases will last way longer than 10 seconds.

Don’t get me wrong, I’ll try not to chase for an overly long time but you gotta engage in some chases.

I do 100% agree with your points on looping though.
