  • If you can share or give any spoilers/info, are there any plans as of now with Vanilla stuff? Like a Vanilla gamemode or something like that?

  • The Vanilla Experiment was a small group of people selected to play fifteen matches without any perks, add-ons, offerings, without using Survive With Friends, and without disconnecting. Players were instructed to play seriously.

My guess is the devs are taking data from the matches, researching certain things about them, and using what knowledge they gain to evaluate certain killers and potentially create a niche gamemode for people that would enjoy a vanilla-style match.

  • Nope, haven't got anything yet.

I see you managed to get a Reverse Bear Trap kill. Very nice.

    Heck yeah!!

I wonder what their results were like

Me too, I hope they were good. I hope I helped, too.

  • Hillbilly for sure, it's really boring and kinda unfair. You can't really mindgame them like you can mindgame a Nurse, plus they tend to one-shot you.

Y'all hatin' on Pig, I think she's pretty fun to go against...

  • It is actually really bad... Pig has literally no more endgame strength, at least not even close to what she used to have. EGC doesn't help either what with survivors 99%ing the exit gates and abusing the hatch.

  • Yes, it's quite sad :(

  • Why such harsh changes to Pig? As a Pig main and somebody who really enjoyed the potential she brought to endgame, as well as playing against Pig before the nerfs, it seems really... I don't know, it's just sad and disappointing. I'm referring specifically to the RBTs not activating once the EGC starts. I also never noticed anybody complaining about Pig before either, so it seems unwarranted to squander any strength she might've received from the EGC update before we ever got to try it out.

Edit: Btw, the game is still quite fantastic and I'm enjoying everything. Thanks for all the communication and work.

  • Yep, we all knew they'd do that too. I've had em doing it already too.

The whole reason of pigs RBTs is actually to slow the game down (gens, heal) in the early and mid match, not the end phase. Ofc you could have some advantage if you put on a RBT after all gens popped, but that wasn't even a guaranted kill. So the only change with the new endgame is that you need to put on RBTs before the last gen pops. If you mainly kept most of the RBTs until the end then you definitly played her wrong.

And they do a good job of slowing down the midgame, sure. And yes it was never a guaranteed kill, but at least its existence still mattered and could help you secure one or even two more sacrifices. It doesn't make sense to get rid of that endgame ability, it's a considerable part of what makes her viable. There is no reason to nerf an already weaker killer. Also, I usually don't play Pig that way, but it's still fun and viable.

This nerf is kind of like if they stopped Huntress or Clown from reloading during EGC, or if Trapper's bear traps all broke at the arrival of EGC.

Killer mains are the source of toxicity. Thats a fact.

    Literally your name is MegsAreEvil.

But come on, be smart. The source of toxicity is... wait for it... toxic people!

Coincidence is an acceptable explanation to me. Roll the dice enough times and you're bound to get results that seem coincidental to the human mind. However, "coincidence" is the last resort after all other explanations have failed.

I still don't think it's very accurate. I'll take coincidence for an answer until data says otherwise. I get how that's... logical, but ehhhhh I don't think it's likely enough.

What would you suggest? If what @Zanely89 says is accurate, this is a statistical anomaly that should have some explanation.

I think what @Zanely89 said in the first place is right, that it's just coincidence. Not every statistical anomaly has a good explanation.

Here's my new theory: gay people are less likely to have to have to take care of children, for obvious reasons, and so they have more free time for things like video games.

    I don't think that's it chief

My point is that to call sexual orientation a personal choice shows a deep lack of understanding of said topic, and is especially annoying because it legitimizes the god-awful "tradition" of pride parades.

Oh, I didn't notice that part lmao. Yeah, it's not really a choice. Eh, he's still not against LGBT so it's whatever.

    1. Myers
    2. Clown
    3. Hillbilly
    4. Hag
    5. Idk, Doctor maybe?

Legion is actually fine. Not the most fun to play against, but he's beatable. Also just fun to screw with.

I find Pig fun to play against, but I honestly wish she was more of a threat. Her traps aren't dangerous.

Myers is f****** stupid. I just hate the idea of insta-down whenever you want, and I hate the way it plays too. It ignores Dead Hard, and it's... it's really just not fun. Same kinda goes for Billy, but at least you can dodge him better if you're good enough.

Clown is just annoying, getting physically slowed down is a bother. Same with Hag, the way she plays is quite annoying.

Of course, it's all subjective. Aka it's my opinion.

The fact that you call it a personal choice just provides legitimacy to every pride parade and other events.

Not sure that was his point. He's not saying he's against LGBT, he's just saying that it doesn't matter. It doesn't affect the game and doesn't really make a difference in the people.

  • @Arsoul said:

What difference does it make in a video game!

Seriously!. Many people that identify as LGBTQ want to feel safe and accepted in society. Fine, no issue for me. But, if you want to be accepted and safe etc etc, WHY are you making posts etc, segregating them out!

    Makes no sense

    *edit, spelling

He's not asking about it to segregate or anything, just asking a curious question. You're right about it not making a difference, but I guess the guy just has a weird interest in the topic?

There's not really a why, to answer his question.
