@Dragonredking if survivors gen tap, its take 2-3 min to do a full gen alone. If all the survivors do that, the killer have too much time xD. Ez lose for the survivors. If several survivors gentap at the same gen it is a lot faster

The whole system needs a rework.
First of all ranking must be harder, then we need to remove the monthly reset with a Quarterly reset and then we need rewards for ranking up

1 take a tool box, more charges it has better it is
2 go in game and start 99 hooks close to a general you wanna do
3 when you spot the killer that want to grab your ass run to the sabod hooks
4 sabo hooks while running
5 enjoy your wiggle off

Yes the rank system needs to be fixed.WhateverIGuess said:If you play solo, you can simply say goodbye to fun. Especially at higher ranks, it's insane how much I've got teams who have literally no idea what they're doing. Most of the people I get in Rank 1 are people who urbanly evade all the time and don't touch gens. It's incredibly boring, frusturating and unfun. The killer atleast gets a 2k or a 3k everytime. This is exactly why people play SWF more.
Then there's SWF, you play with your friends, you have comms and you will have much more fun that way. Yes, we all know SWF gives some advantages, but that doesn't mean they are unbeatable. Most SWFs are usually chill people who want to have fun on the game, they don't bring instaheals, DS and stuff like that all the time and that is beatable.
And nobody claims that you can't beat any swf, if they don't actually try to win then it's usually a 3 or 4k because they always rush hooks like idiots -
You can't play solo anymore, the rank system allows even the biggest idiot to climb at and get into your team....Morfedel said:I'm just frustrated because I've watched the killer demolish the survivors over and over. It was crushing. I've played the killer a couple times, and I understand it has a higher bar than I expected, but still, the degrees to which the killer has won by has seemed very significant.
Maybe I've just been unlucky with my teams. They havent ALL ended that way, but its just felt that if the killer knows what he is doing, then the balance is by far on his side, regardless of whether the survivors know what they are doing or not.

No killer perks mentioned?
-
You do realize that if you hit a healty survivor, they somehow turn on their turbo mode and you have to swipe your weapon blood free such that you dont infect yourself with aids?Fibijean said:For starters, "tunnelling generators" is pretty easily countered, a) by several perks designed for that exact purpose (overcharge, pop goes the weasel, etc.), b) by simply searching the area properly - most survivors when they hear you coming will not leave the area, but hide close by until you leave, and c) by using strategies such as the "3-gen method" . Hard tunnelling has no direct counter - you can try to bodyblock or distract the killer, but you can't force them to take the bait.
Furthermore, the kind of tunnelling you're describing isn't really an issue. Obviously, it makes sense to go after the first survivor you find, especially if they're injured already. The style of tunnelling that most people take issue with is when the killer tunnel-visions on the unhooked survivor, ignoring everything else in their path. Someone else could be standing right under their feet and they will ignore that person and keep going after the injured survivor, not because they're injured (they could easily turn the bodyblocker into an equally appealing target by that standard) but because they're easier to kill having already been hooked.
The only time I really consider this playstyle okay is if they're running for an exit gate and tunnelling the injured survivor means the difference between two escapes or an escape and a kill. In any other case, yes it's efficient, but arguably no more so than any other method, and yes it can be fun to play mercilessly. But no one enjoys being knocked out in the first half hour of a Monopoly game and having to watch everyone else continue without them - it's the same thing. It may be fun or lucrative for you, but you can't deny that it's both unkind and unsportsmanlike.

I'm here to talk about DBD's most frustrating gameplay style. Tunneling if I am kicking a gen you cant touch it and have to go for another gen. This is because i have freshly kicked the gen and you tunneling the gen is making the game go to fast and is ruining my fun as a killer as games are going too fast.So obviously this post is a joke about tunneling. People often describe tunneling as hitting someone who just got off the hook. I wanted to point to the parallels between tunneling a gen and tunneling a survivour.
When a survivour is on one less hook state and i see them and hear them and are injured its considered a dick move and poor form to hit them. Which is pretty stupid when you stop to think about it. I am obliged to hunt a healthy survivour who is heading to a powerful loop.
Gen tunneling is doing a nearly done gen I kicked in a safe place. Asking a survivour to move on to another gen that hasnt been started and is in a dangerous place is absurd. It leaves you vulnerable and susceptible to the killers attacks. It also makes games go much faster so its sensible for players to finish a gen.
I hope these parallels makes you realise how stupid tunneling is as a statement and makes you think twice before expecting a killer to let you have a free unhook.
great post really tackles the root of the problem i saw the title and was putting on my salt resistant alkaline suit to delve in the depths of the future incoming comments but was pleasantly surprised good job have an awesome

Still. They said because they want it to be as immersive as possible and I believe they have it down.
On console some people make Party Chats with random groups, I don't mind but I enjoy being alone.
Immersive? Pls bro
Nobody will force you to use voice comms, you can always mute specific players or even disable it completely, but it's a necessary step for swf balanceDo you really think voice comms is necessary? I mean I'd like some of the advantages that swf survivors have, but I definitely don't want to play with voice comm with strangers. By giving survivors certain aura reading abilities the devs won't be able to give survivors exactly all the advantages swf survivors have, but it would help close the gap between solo and swf survivors enough I believe. I mean I strongly believe there are a lot of people who don't want to play with voice comms, even once it's introduced to the game. With aura reading abilities, you are making sure that every survivor has the main advantages that swf survivors have now.
Yes I think they are necessary. if you dont want to voice comms with strangers thats fine, there are overwatch players (just an example here) that never use voice comm too. But please dont expect to be able to play competitively then because voice comms simply give you an insane advantage.
If someone wants to play casually and never use voice comms, thats fine ofc you should be able to completely shut them off or mute specific players, thats a no-brainer

Solo play is garbage. It doesn’t surprise me seeing 3-4 man SWF teams every game of Killer I play.
Really? Despite the disadvantages of solo survivor I still find playing solo survivor very enjoyable. You know as long as you don't get camped, but that's on the devs to finally nerf camping. i find you can still do really well even as solo survivor team, but it's a lot harder. It's not only about balancing though, the ranking system can also really screw up the solo survivor experience, since players of very different skill levels can all play at rank 1.
Camping will always be a thing as long as looping is so powerful
I don't see how the one has anything to do with the other. Looping is just a way for survivors to survive longer, what the hell are they going to do otherwise?
While camping is just standing in front of the hook just to get a kill the easiest way possible. Killers can still just play the game normally, but survivors can't just ignore looping. It's what buys their team time and lets them survive for longer. Obviously there are a few maps that have too many safe pallets and not enough mindgameable pallets, but that's just flawed map design. Thanks to the pallet density nerf, I feel like killers definitely seem more powerful now, even M1 killers, even though they can still struggle quite a bit.
Also looping a killer for quite some time takes some skill, camping doesn't. Not at all.
If killers need any help against long looping, it's finally nerfing gen rush so that killers have a bit more time to deal with survivors. However before they nerf gen rush they need to nerf camping.Exactly, looping just prolongs the inevitable. Neither is it funned being looped in circles and the survivor not even trying to escape, just abusing the same route over and over again, nor is it time efficient to follow a survivor into the loops.
additionally, survivors always throw themselves at the hook. -
@TerminalEntropy said:
Agreed to both ideas. The first one could and should be implemented, the second one too but I can bet devs will not do it, exactly not to give Killers opportunity to decline SWF games. It would hurt survivors, ya know. For a nice BP bonus, killers would fight each other to verse SWFs
-
Yeah, you should only sabo if you can deal with bleeding out on the floor, because thats the natural result

So this has happened a couple times until today, but now, just today, three or four times, I've gotten a killer that is essentially afk, standing there auto swinging at thin air.One of those times another survivor kept getting hit, backing out, and healing over and over and over the entire match; that survivor and the killer both got a huge amount of blood points that match.
The other times the killer was tucked in a corner. I'm assuming that, even though this is on a playstation, someone has two accounts and is botting (or taping down one of the triggers?) after moving it to the corner to get survives and escapes easier?
Regardless, though I'll admit I feel that the killer has an advantage, this isn't how I want to win. No feeling of accomplishment as a survivor winning this way at all.
Any idea whats up with this? Is this a new thing, or something old that I just stumbled on?
Thanks in advance!
Thats sounds like a bot to farm BP, was common in the old days of DBD but since they bann for it, it doesnt happen anymore (usually
)When the killer is afk (not hitting), then its usually deranking

Sorry that i couldn't be more clear on this bit thats with Killers like Trapper and Hag you gotta be familiar with them, thats why i say to play him, look up different playstyles etc.
There is no clear guide to counter him, well except to genrush the ######### out of him since he spends a lot of time on his traps, the only universal weakness.
I'm getting tunneled all game
got any advice for that? You mentioned trapper and spirit then mention tunneling, why am I not surprised?
Spirits havent been as bad recently but literally 99.9% of trappers tunnel. Its all they ever do. If you're first on the hook in a game against the trapper it's game over for you. Best thing to do is go pure stealth and hide until someone else is hit first. Then rush gens and let someone else go for the rescue. Trappers seem to be tethered to a 30-35m radius around the hook so its not worth unhooking someone as they will just die faster that way.
Thats what his kit was built for. He simply isnt a mobile killer, he has to play strategically

This is in killers because some will have played her and understand her power. She mindgames the hell out of me and not even Nurse is that hard to counter. How do you defeat her power my chases against her are 40 seconds long which is decent but small compared to me vs any other killer except Nurse and Trapper. And onto Trapper, how do you counter him. He's always got traps at the small loops that you wouldn't expect and in chase I get crushed. Please help lol.You can run OoO for example and you will see the location of every trap he puts, also voicecomm in a SWF compeltely demolishes trapper.
Against spirit adn trapper its both helpful to walk sometimes instead of sprinting.
I recommend playing them yourself and you will see what the survivors you verse do against you

I know the solution to this: make it harder to pip

She is a joy to play against average survivors, but coordinated swf can be very frustrating with her

Yes, I dnot understand either why DCing isn't punished. You can literally derank regularly by DCing and you wont be punishedThe_Crusader said:The problem with survivors losing pips for disconnecting is that rank 15 becomes full of people that disconnect.

It loOKs like you lost a pip, but you actually didnt.
Btw there is no way to lose 2 pips unless you dc on your own -

There's ways to stop hatch plays cold, like slugging the last 2, knowing where the hatch is and intercepting, and such.
The killer is more responsible for opening the hatch than the survivor.

Built in Kindred, Bond, Empathy, Object of Obsession+Sole Survivor, Alert, Small Game, Detective's Hunch, Windows of Opportunity, Wake Up, and Open Handed is a good start to getting Solo Survivors up to the same power level as SWF.That seems a bit extreme, doesn't it? I agree with the first three, Kindred, Bond and Empathy, the rest are way too much.
Honestly Kindred is the main advantage swf survivors have, Knowing what other survivors are doing while someone is hooked is such a help.It sounds extreme, but think about it. if a single survivor has the aura of the killer, then the whole team has the knowledge in a SWF. There is a reason why killers complain about it so much

I get that, it makes sense. I do think that once a survivor finds a totem, the aura of that totem should be seen by all survivors. But that would also mean that Hex Perks finally need to be reworked to work differently.
That with the aura also makes sense, but it does require at least one of them to run that perk in order to see the aura of the killer. Also, I doubt swf survivors always communicate about where exactly the killer is. You can't always exactly pinpoint him, describing his exact location is also hard since many areas on a map are not unique. So saying something like killer is at a jungle gym won't really help a lot. I don't believe swf survivors have that much of an advantage really.
Sure, there are casual swf out there that don't use their voice comms to full extent, but that doesn't change the fact that there are competitive swf out there that do.
Also I don't believe that casual players belong to rank 1 at all -

I feel that if we were to keep the points the way they are at the moment it would make it fairer for casual gamer's to be able to keep up with the high demand.
This is how I feel about the event, Feel free to leave your comments as I would be interested to see what you all think!
All you do in the game is grinding, reduce the grind and the players will get bored.
Sadly we have no other goals/objectives at the moment, but maybe once we get an actual ranking system with rewards and leaderboards..... -
