Ok, using your notation, thats how I see our situation.
The game is balanced around 4 solo survivors representing each 25%, i.e. they try as hard as they can and are no potatoes.
That woudl make a game balanced if both killer and solo survivors tryhard (which sounds reasonable). In reality however, due to broken matchmaking you will always get at least one 5-10% survivor or even harder potatoes, which puts the killer into favour. He just has to collect his win and cook the potatoes on hooks.
However looking at SWF, they can choose their buddies such that they can eliminate the potatoes from the equation. Now with the additional voice comm, they gain an extra burst of efficiency, making every survivor lets say 30% more efficient.
This means that if both sides operate as best as they can, we now have a 100% vs 130% scenario.
The survivors are heavily favoured and just need to knock out gens and tbagg the "potato" killer in the exit gates.Of course things get a bit more difficult if we look at the different killers.
By the way, you talk about strong addons, but you forget about the items/addons on the survivor side

As I said, just use your controller when playing survivor. This way you only have the performance advantage and no disadvantage

I wanted to say stop dcing from the matches and ruining every other survivor games leaving us with 5 gens, but after today i think i know why you are doing this, today was one of the worst days playing this stupid game, first i had a problem with hitboxes, huntress axe landed on me while i was deep behind the wall, then facecampers and tunnelers appeared, then items not worked when it should have. Oh and after that even more tunneling happened. And if those are the reasons why you are deranking i understand you now. Sorry this post doesnt make sence, all i wanted just to share my frustration. You can be hit behind walls if latency is high.
Regarding the DCing, lets hope that it will be punished once dedicated servers are here. -

The killer is the one who is hurt by DCs since he loses addons and only gets 2,5k for 4DCs in total.Unless you play on console, then I feel with you and hope that you manage to put enough money aside for a PC

hatch, SWF/solo, engame, safezones, horror?
There are a lot of flaws if we are honest, but all that doesnt matter since for some reason there still is no true competititor to DBD threatening its throne

When will Behavior be able to fix this?
Shouldn't there be a system that can detect sudden MASSIVE drops in ranks thanks to this that would auto ban?
What has save file to do with that? People will always find a way to derank. If you want people not to derank, give them motivation and a reason to stay high rank
Deranking is not bannable.
Even if you DC by deranking, you need to collect an absurd pile of DCs until BHVR takes action.messing with the savefiles however is indeed bannable (perma bann in fact), also there is a big difference whether you go through the effort of actual deranking or whether you simply press a button and go back to 20

At 1:01 he looks at and hears the generator at what sounds like 80-90% completion and chooses to ignore it. Chasing the person off the generator would have resulted in it being saved while causing the Laurie to heal, wasting time, while initiating a new chase, keeping two people off generators. He then proceeds to play shack incorrectly, granting Laurie two additional loops while trying to shock.
At 1:24 he again ignores people working on an almost-completed generator to continue chasing Laurie.
Yeah he made a lot of mistakes. Genrushing is mostly you not pressuring the map, which is what happened.
That being said, if you play a low-tier killer with no addons or perks on a big map and survivors spawn each on separate generators, no ######### the game is going to go fast, even if you play perfectly.
Ive replayed it 3 times now and im unable to hear a 90% generator at 1.01
But maybe thats due to the fact that the completely messed up sound.....

Try running this build: kindred, bond and open handed, is like if you were playing with friends. 4th perk is up to you, i run small game cause randoms don't care about totems.I tried solo survivor after a huge break. Three games were ruined by some idiots ragequitting, in two games my mates were completely afk and did no gen progress, in another game I was bodyblocked in a corner, then another game a survivor being chased by the killer ran to me clicking with his flashlight at me.......
I probably had 2-3 decent games and honestly, with the recent queue times on survivor its not worth my time
Is this Pc or console since I've had some horrible survivor matches lately more than normal for even right after reset.
PC, but im really low rank on both roles now since I rarely play anymore.
I stopped playing DBD regularly after the last farming-event, that was a huge turn off for me

It can be used as pressure tool, similarly to a strike -

So because someone can get to rank 1 means the skilled players don't belong there whya gain? Now if it's so easy then why are there people stuck at rank 16-20 and everyone isn't at rank 1?
The point is that there's people at rank 1 that belong there and not everyone is a potato survivor side just because the killer does good.
That's always the excuse of last resort when someone does good on a killer since you can't refute that a good killer can and does win against good survivors.
You dont get my point.
Of course there are skilled players at rank 1 that belong there (marth etc), but fact is that the majority of players who already made it to rank 1 should haver never been able to reach the highest rank in the first place.
Can you claim that you achived the highest rank (grand master, champion or whatever) in any other competitive game? And yes, I believe that I dont belong to rank 1 either, but still I can make it up there really fast if I want to

Yes and I can't wait until they start banning for it so that way I can call it "an [BAD WORD] getting what they deserve" when those same people get on here crying about being locked out of the game
Ban for lobby dodging? Where people lose just some seconds of their time to requeue?
Are you serious?Btw, killers started dodging at the last second, when last second switching became popular.
Cause and effect.A few seconds? I waited a damn hour for a match last night found a couple matches in five minutes they dodged twice and then it took an hour don't tell me it's a few seconds of my time wasted , and we weren't last second switching or any of the above it's totally uncalled for and if someone is so chicken ######### they don't want to play the game then they shouldn't , if your ping sucks I'm ok with it but for any other scenario even emergencies if you aren't able to play chances are you'll be done with whatever your doing by the time the ban would be finished
If you want even longer queues, then proceed and propose bans for lobby dodging.
Since there is no way to see the other survivors ping, the killer might have dodged because of the other survivors.
Either the long survivor queues are a matchmaking issue like the killer queues a month ago, or killers left and there are to many survivors.
Anyway, you could just switch sides and get instant lobbies.
Yes that's true and when it gets that way I usually do that but my point is when I do want to play a certain game mode I should be able to do it because I paid for the game to have that option available, and yes I do play swf alot and not solo because I have alot of friends that play this game and that's how we keep in contact
Yes you paid, and the guy you want to get banned for dodging you also paid. You both have the same right for a fun and enjoyable match.
This is a pvp game, but I've never seen a game where people try to get their enemies banned all the timeBut if you refuse for unnecessary reasons then you deserve a time ban for wasting everyone's time like other games, at the point that you're selfishness starts hurting que times and could potentially hurt the player base when it takes an hour for a game someone should grow a pair and stop being a cuck it's ridiculous to think you feel like it's fine to waste other people's time because you're afraid to play
As long as ingame DCs are totally ok, you should put aside the idea of punishing lobby dodging

Telling people to patrol gens is the dumbest excuse out there. You need to chase survivors, and when the matches depend on the survivors mistakes (high ranks) you can’t chase and patrol a generator. It’s not possible.
Telling people not to patrol gens is why you lose the game, if you ignore gens you lode plain and simple and good rief the fallacy usage. It's amazing that rank 1 killers can patrol gens, chase and still get 4k even perkless Freddy's.
Mhm yeah its amazing how broken the ranking system is
Yep I mean Marth can get to rank 1, rue can, panda can I mean all these great players cna get to rank one and do well so the ranking system must obviously be broken.
It's almost as if good players can't do well against other good players at rank one because they know how to patrol better, when to chase and when not to chase etc.
uhm what?
The rank system is broken because a complete beginner can become rank 1 straight up in his first month playing, Marth rue and panda SHOULD be relatively alone on rank 1 since its the highest rank and should onyl be achievable by a very small minority

Now that we are here, what should be discuss? How broken DS is?

I swear, good teams just need 1 DS AT MOST to do well, 4 DS is a clear sign of some survivors there suck (and also quite rare to see).
But i'm all down to nerf DS for non obession survivors, like increase 10 or 15% the wiggle progress needed for EACH survivor running it.I know about the 4 ds idea that is really f*cking annoying, but they changed it (a while ago) slightly to where it required wiggle, and I liked that, I only made this post to show that ds is currently getting reworked (don't believe me, remember the huge ds skill check idea that was cancelled?) This perk is still a strong perk, but just remember, perks help reduce the chances to land it and reduce the stun time
Yes you can use unnerving and enduring to POTENTIALLY lower the effects of DS. Thats 2 killer perks to deal with a single survivor perk. (Remember 16 vs 4 perks)
Also what if the survivor simply hits the skillcheck even if the bar is lower and what if the survivor goes down close to a loop. Then you wasted 2 perk slots and didnt even coutner DS

Which is why I started eating the perk and always thought of the words "outplayed" when they used it, I run perks that help in the chase but, sometimes I get pissed off when survivors use DS and message me gg ez after running self care ds flashlight

Well, the real problem is that DS is a perk that can be used everygame.
The complement of DS would be mori on the killers side. Mori takes away a hook from the survivor life while DS allows you to escape a hook stage.Imagine if there was a perk that allowed killers to mori all 4 survivors.....

Since you are talking about pressing shift for sprinting, I assume you mainly play survivor. For survivors it doesnt really matter whether you use keyboard or controller since you dont have to aim at all.
Simply plug in your controller into the PC and have the same controller experience, but with better performance -

A DS nerf shouldnt even have the highest priority right now. What needs to be adressed with highest priority is the SWF/solo gap and the ranking system. Playing killers, games are like night and day. One game a SWF completely obliterates you and the gens pop like crazy. Next game you 4k without a single gen done due to bad/no communication.

That's not an excuse, it's LITERALLY, without a doubt ONE HUNDRED PERCENT FACT that GENERATORS are a survivors objective, and a killer that is playing well can STOP THEM.and I didn't mention pressure at all, I mentioned playing well...

Exactly like tunneling and camping are playstyles for Killers to help them getting their objective done.
While I surely agree that doing gens is the main objective for Survivors, I also understand that getting kills is the main objective for Killers. I've seen you complaining about campers and tunnelers during your streams, which is totally fine but is actually no different to Killers complaining about Gen Rush Squads. If you have the chance to dodge a facecamper (hi MLGA) you will dodge them because they are campers. If a Killer faces a gen rush squad, they'll dodge them aswell. It's an eye for an eye, both sides provide playstyles that suck to deal with for the other side and it's only logical that they try to avoid those.
The problem is that gen rush squads don't just repair gens at a ridiculous time-efficiency, they also use voice communication to "play optimally" in all other aspects. I can deal with gen rush because I can make up for that with map pressure but against 4 survivors that have constant, global map awareness it's hard to get map pressure, depending on the Killer.
How dare you, filthy killer main.
For camping and tunneling, other rules apply

I actually happen to agree with Onionthing. I suck as a survivor, yet all you have to do to rank up is run from the killer for 30 seconds, do a couple of gens, and save a person. Not that hard to do. I can't loop killers very well or 360 them. So as for me, I very much like the green ranks. I am very comfortable there and I still lose a lot. I used to be in the purple ranks and barely escaped at all. However, I still ranked up. Their whole system is absurd. I do not belong in the purple or red ranks. I am not ready for them yet. I am waiting until I can properly loop and 360. Then possibley I will go into those ranks. For now I will continue to depip. All you do is looking for excuses to not play in Rank 1. You don't "learn how to play in Rank 1" without actually playing there, all you do is boost your skill towards "ready for rank 1" while stomping rank 10.
Getting ready for rank 1 is a process that happens when actually playing there. You might find yourself in the absolute lowest skill bracket of a certain rank and then move your way to the top. In Dead by Daylight there are only 2 meaningful ranks: Rank 1 and Rank 20, the ranks in between just represent the time you've spent so far on your way to Rank 1. In Rank 1 you'll find players of low skill that barely managed to get there (maybe someone like you) and you'll find players that play nothing but Rank 1. Of course there is a HUGE skill gap in between and of course the matchmaking is absolute garbage, I totally agree but what you experience in Rank 1 (people stomping you) is exactly what Rank 1 players do to the players in the Rank 10s by depipping.
I wouldn't say YOU personally are a problem (or anyone else here) because technically what you do is refuse to "git gud". However, the numerous streamers and other players with literally thousands of hours - the already "got gud" ones - that purposely depip to play in low ranks. Those ruin the experience for actually lower experienced players that never even smelled rank 1.
Are there any streamers that actually play in low ranks?
Jendenise (used to?) regularly derank by DCing and stomp low rank killers with her SWF which caused the whole derankign discussion in the forums

The only possibility for a fix is implementing a built in bloodwarden or sth in that style.

Just keep chasing them until you're safe to use M2.As I said, he still heavily relies on the incompetence of Survivors (which means that I think he is weak) but he is not as bad as Legion.
Indeed, against good survivors leatherface is basically a M1 killer.
Whether he is as bad as legion or even worse doesnt really matter, IMO all killers need a hefty buff to be put up to nurse lvl and survivors get ingame voice comms to balance the gameI'm not sure about ingame voice comms being a good idea. Two big problems coming with that:
annoying little kids spamming their ######### music and flamers insulting and ruining everyones fun, so you'd have to mute half the players and end up as "solo" yet again.
it would require a total rework of several perks, items, add-ons and even Killers.
It would be hard to balance for example Trapper around a team of full voice comms. Not saying it's not possible but it requires a lot of time / work and you'd have to completly rebalance the game.
Ive heard this argument so many times now.
I ask you a simple question, DBD is a game rated 18+. How is it possible that we have more kids than games like overwatch or CSGO where the community manages to use the ingame voice comm appropiately too?And if there really is that kind of kid, then you can of course press the mute button, shouldnt be a great deal?
Trapper is one of the best examples, he used to be my favourite killer by far, but SWF completely ruined him for me and I basically play him only for dailies anymore. Since SWF is now an integral part of the game, the game must be balanced aroung voice comms.

Killers dont usually have to worry about hooks being sabotaged because they come back so fast and jake is crying in the basement so hooks should have an extra minute or 2 for hooks to be down so people like our new buddy jesus perk breakdown and will help countribute against gen rushDuring the sabo meta, all survivors cried how annoying it is to be slugged and bleeding out on the floor.
Did you change your mind? -

When not in chase, why is there not an option to turn the music off so we can actually take advantage of audio cues better?Because the chase music is supposed to deafen you. Yes I dont get it either
