Do you like the idea or not?
I understand time, work, ect, I understand there are problems already in the game. I'm asking if anyone else likes these ideas.
Not whats wrong with them.Sure at some point I would like to see a 2vs6 or sth like that, but at the moment they cant even get together a proper 1vs4 mode. For varying the number of players in a game, we need dedicated server first or everything will be a big laggfest.

All survivors that relied on gentapping as a crutch instead of learning how to hit skillchecks would go insane after this gets implemented. Ofc the devs will never consider that^^

The normal 1vs4 gamemode has enough issues already, better they focus on one mode before doign such stuff

Ez.
I think both killers and survivors should be more reasonable.

But as a 900 hour player (at leats if you played killer too) you should know how fast a SWF can knock out gens if they want toI do play and know the gen rush SWF groups. Gen rush is the most broken thing in this game period.
Saying it takes 110 seconds is disingenuous though. I gave my raw number to kill all survivors as well which is 60 seconds. Does it happen? No.
It is impossible to kill all survivors within 60 seconds, even if they all wait in the basement for you to hook them. It takes 2 minutes for a single survivor to die on hook
You didn't read my post then. I said everybody tried to escape and fail and didn't struggle.
If we are gonna talk about best case scenario here is the best case scenario for the killer.
Oh well then best case scenario is 1 second, all survivors Dc immediately.

Yea I really wish they would. Now I used to play on a regular ps4 and got the pro a couple months ago and there's a huge difference right there. It doest seem AS BAD on the pro but there are times when the killer gets his free hit because of lag/framerate issues and that gets really frustrating.
You realize that the killer suffers from the low framerates way more than a survivor does?

As a Pig main, games are usually 5 minutes long if the survivors are extremely competitive but otherwise, your looking at 10 to 20 minutes games. A lot of killer's say "2 minute" games but even myself with 600 hours haven't had a game where all generators are powered on in 2 minutes.
All 4 survivor jump on different gens asap (5-10 sec)
Only one survivor can get chased at a time, everyone else stick to his gen.
60-80 seconds later 3 gens should be done and the first victim hooked.
Now either a) killer is camping and the remaining gens will be done in another 60-80 sec or b) killer is not camping -> free unhook and heal -> repeat the above.
= 120 - 160 seconds to do all gen
This leaves another 1- 2 minutes to open the gates and you are still way under 5 min.
Okay, that's all cool and all but it's easier said than done. LINK me a generator rush video that shows all generators being powered on in 2 minutes!

I got one for 3 minutes on rank 1. But that doesn't count, right?
Link me the YouTube video!

Before the survivors get all salty at the title, let me state this isn't the typical "wah they finished the gens before I could kill them" QQ. So first, let's address what I am referring to when I say "gen rushing" before we hear the typical, "there is no such thing" argument. Gen rushing is when survivors push generators hard from the beginning of the match and multiple gens are completed within a few minutes. This can be caused by the killer lacking pressure on the map or survivors ignoring everything in order to push the gens. As a killer, when I see 3 gens popped in a few minutes, I get a little frustrated and I think, "wow". As a survivor I think, "okay this is good, but I'll get worthless pips and no points." This is one of the reasons I don't particularly care to play survivor often. What fun is pressing M1 on a generator the entire match? Is anyone really wrong for doing this? No, I don't believe so. Survivors are just doing their objective and killers may just be getting looped or inexperienced at patrolling gens. I think what it boils down to is survivors have gotten so good and adapted to this game over the years, it has revealed a huge flaw in this game. It needs to be fixed.
So what is there to do about it right now? Killers have a few perks that can sort of help with this. At best, these perks are like an off brand bandaid and they only benefit the killer. Survivors can stop doing their only objective and purposely run the killer around for chase points, but why on earth would they do that?
There have been some creative solutions mentioned over the past couple months I have played. My favorite is adding more objectives in the game or even different game modes. Unique quest can be added in the map that upon completion, could reward the same benefit as escaping would (BPs/pips) and you could even escape after escaping for an even larger bonus. This is just an example of what can be done and my own personal input.
So, I'd like to finish off my QQ with one last thought. This last game I played. Let me say, the survivors did really well. They were very sneaky, pushed gens quick. As far as doing their objective goes, they almost finished the last gen and were potentially very close to escape.

Unfortunately for them, they made a few minor mistakes that I was able to capitalize on. The point of me posting this pic is to point out that they did do well in hiding from the killer and finishing gens. In my opinion, they were not rewarded enough and this is one of the big problems of gen rushing. It's generally a bad game for everyone, not fun and no one gets points.
Thoughts?
Genrushing is not a thing in the realm where the devs balance the game. Survivors are actually scared in this realm and will move away from gens when they hear heartbeat, they wont stay untli the last second just to zoom away with their sprinburst. Also skillchecks will be failed such that the killer can hinder their progress too.
Loved the old days of DBD, had so much fun with my friends even if we got totally screwed. Nowadays its just a shitshow
That is a very specific situation and not everyone reacts like that
So you are telling me that nowadays survivor hide when they hear the heartbeat instead of continuing the gen? "specific situation" mhm k

The only reason i can see the invulnerability on dehook take effect is when a survivor is doing a yolo save, one gets hooked, killer is leaving and another survivor rush to the dave without waiting (yolo save) and the killer hit the hooked survivor during thw unhook animation. The fault is of the unhookng survivor, yet the one punished is the killer.
Ah this is what you mean, fair point.
Well the devs are just holding the survivors hand because apparently BT and bodyblocking is not enough

@Peasant said:
Since the spirit cannot see bloodstains while haunting you're going to have to rely on three things:- Audio
- Scratchmarks
- The map
Just because you can't see survivors doesn't mean you can't hear them. If the grunts of agony are very loud then swing as you might be on top of the survivors.
Scratchmarks will be a key indicator for novices so get Predator on the Spirit for decent tracking.
Since bloodstains aren't an option some map items are just as good. Things like "Grass, Corn, and Bamboo" move when survivors move through them. The Spirit on Coldwind Farm is very effective because of this fact.
Iron will will become meta now. You cant hear the usual footstep or gras sounds while phase walking because there is a permanent weird loud sound being on top of all the other sounds.
Mostly it will be a 20 sec cd mindgame, thats why many killers complained and gave bad feedback

The whole gen rushing thing confuses me. Isn't finishing the gens literally the only thing survivors need to do to escape ? Why would they wait, to take in the scenery ? It's like complaining that the killer starts killing right away...
"Gen rush" is the term for the missmatch in time it takes to complete survivor objectives versus killer objectives.
A decent team that knows how to play, will spread out and all jump different gens.
With a single hit taking ~30-40 seconds of chasing plus carrying the victim to the hook, the killer needs AT LEAST 70-90 seconds for the first hook (ofc unless the survivor play stupid).
With gens taking 80 seconds -not including great checks, toolboxes or perks- 3 gens will be done when the killer gets his first hook.
So the survivor did 3/6 of their objectives (5 gens + 1 door), while the killer did…
depends on what you consider a "win" for the killer.
4 k would need 12 objectives done (without camping).
2 k would need 6 to 10 hooks, depending on how much the hooking is spread among the team.
And all this does not consider DS, pallet stuns during pick up or flashlightsaves and bodyblocks or insta heals.
So under the best circumstances the killer (the SINGLE player) has done 1/6 of his objective to win, while the survivor (the TEAM player) have done 3/6 of their objectives.
Do you see the problem now??Be careful, the last time I showed that under the best circumstances for the Killer, chases are still too long, I got a bunch of angry people saying that "not all games" are like that.
Yeah its fine because the imbalance doesnt strike every game. Just DC in these games I guess....

Camping is a legitimate strategy but it can also ruin the game for 4 out of 5 people which is the majority of a match plus it's just boring as a killer. If you're being camped with 5 gens left its frustrating, even if you aren't camped and do gens it's boring playing generator simulator not to mention the lack of benevolent and bold points. Previously the devs had tried slowing or stopping the sacrifice bar if the killer was too close to the hook but was abused by survivors by looping the killer near the hooked person. I believe the devs were headed in the right direction but needed some adjustments. The bar should continue to decrease if the killer is in a chase or if gens are completed. An alternative idea I came up with might work with some tweaks. When a generator is competed it stops all progression on generators and sacrifices for a set amount of time, this slows down the game and gives more incentives for killers to leave the hook and find someone else.
Both could be used together to counter early camping which is the main issue or and slowing down the game in general.
Looping is a legitimate strategy but it can also ruin the game for 1 out of 5 people (guess the killer is the minority, so who cares) plus its just boring for the other 4 survivors runing in circles and wasting time.
If you are being looped with 5 gens left its really frustrating because you know the gentime is ticking in the background. -
Dont try to understand the changes with logic. You wont come very far in this game.
Basically the devs only cater towards the survivors crying about camping etc even though they already got plenty of tools to unhook safely in front of a camping M1 killer. -

I'm sick of swf. I came up with temporary solution for myself, to blow off some steam. Its in the description.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yKHa6EL3Ls0
This has been addressed so many times but devs refuse to do make it happen.Intentionally playing against new survivors so you can then bully - very admirable of yourself.
Absolute embarrassment, i've seen three killer mains talk about intentionally deranking now, and they're all incredibly vocal about balance. I'd love to speak to the newer players you intend to bully and see if they thinks it's fair and balanced they'll have to play against people who know all the mechanics of the game. Its actually funny, but the new players that get "rekt" actually enjoy these kind of games. They type gg and well played and ask for tipps. I had some really nice conversation and even have some new friends now.
Survivors only feel bullied when they played the game long enough to get entitled to wins, but then cant win.
The only survivors that blamed me for tunneling/camping and the usual stuff were the red rank SWF mates queueing with their low rank plebs to verse low rank killers. Yes, those kind of guys will regret being in my game and I will do everything to kill them

Problem with your logic is what if someone crashes as opposed to just rage quiting / dropping, then it's going to punish for something that is out of their hands.
So? Welcome to ranked matches in just about every single online game. It happens once, you get a small punishment but a punishment nonetheless. It happens consistently (say, more than twice a day)? Then that means it's likely something on your end, now take a long (forced) break which will give you time to fix your issue.
Exactly, that is just a poor excuse for survivors that wanna keep ragequitting every 2nd game when they miss their DS

Problem with your logic is what if someone crashes as opposed to just rage quiting / dropping, then it's going to punish for something that is out of their hands. They give killers blood points for survivors disconnecting, I say do the same for survivors too.
If your internet crashes regularly, you shouldnt be playing a competitive multiplayer game at all.
If you crash rarely you will deal with a small queue time punishment, hell your punishment time will almost be over until you are back in the game.
I am sick of these excuses "punish for sth out of your hand", you get puinshed in any other competitive game for that too and I never see people crying about that.Killer gets 2,5k BP if all survivors DC, he loses ALL addons and offerings. Even a single common addon is more expensive
