report option

does it work? more specifically the unsportsmanlike option. If so, what are the repercussions and how many votes does a player need to actually be punished? Because something tells me the devs put this thing so they dont get flooded with tickets.

  • They are currently doing a complete overhaul of the report system. But no one knows when it will be launched.

My magic sphere predicts 2020-2021 if the game is still alive at this point and hasnt suffocated in toxic excrements

  • Yes it does.

It is NOT a vote system. There is no magic number of votes where the person just gets automatically punished. Each one is reviewed individually, and if we can prove them, they will be punished. Although it goes without saying that it's not exactly possible to go through every single report, so the report system is going to see some changes in the future to make it easier to find those repeatedly getting reported and such.

You should still absolutely use them. Making a report logs the game and its chat log and allows the ACMs to investigate it. Without reporting it, it'll only save a very limited amount of info and we won't be able to investigate as much.

There's an actual team dedicated to reports now, basically. About a month ago they hired six of us. You may not see massive changes over night, but over time, we hope to weed out most of the toxic people and cheaters. Please just click that report button though. I can't stress that enough. It's really important for us in order to do our job.

How would you deal with reports on console? I heard the developers can do nothing to console players if they are breaking the code of conduct in DBD.

Damn I really feel bad for these six guys, having to face the worst sides of the game all day^^

I am curious, do you have automatic systems filtering out useless/meaningless reports or is everything done by hand?
