I play both killer and survivor and I don't understand why they want to uninstall the game (unless there's some huge bug keeping them from playing). Just petty, childish antics. I guess they never played any Dark Souls game or Elden Ring? I don't know but I agree... I'm fine. The only time I had to take a break was after months of toxicity but now that I'm back, I guess there will be less of that since they're all leaving now? ๐
Thinking solo q is bad is being childish now?

Then I either don't know why you attested me a power fetish in a somewhat derogatory sounding way, or you seem to do so yourself. Still, this whole verbal exchange leaves me confused.
What makes you confused? What you said is that if survivors respect the killer and don't use dead hard they will be fine, and I'm telling you, I respect the killer and don't use dead hard and solo q is still not fine.

So you either have a power fetish or you show no respect for your opponent or the role they play?
Isn't the urge to disrespect the killer and to dominate and totally destroy them its own power fetish?
I honestly think that somewhat reinstating the original status quo ain't no power fetish but is unironical the way the game was original conceived. And I never felt particular servile in my survivor games pre-patch, I just never saw the killer as a punshing bag, but respected their ability to kill me.
I never teabag, never flashlight click and don't nod at killers. I never BM. I also don't use dead hard. What more respect do you want?

Ok?

This may be really unexpected coming from me, but this patch wasn't as bad as I thought it was gonna be. Aside from the bad killers getting free downs because of bloodlust, my survivor games, which were in SWF and solo btw, weren't that bad. Maybe because I wasn't focusing on gens as much.
How were you surviving without doing gens then?

Stop being so ridiculously mean.
This person is obviously kind of shocked and unhappy at the changes. rather than be a turd, why not offer an opposing opinion in an encouraging way? Prior to this patch, the forum was absolutely flooded by Killer mains whining and complaining to nerf Dead Hard.
All they got were asspats and group therapy. Now DH is ashes.
Like why is it so hard for you to just say "You feel that way, I disagree, and here's why"?
So sick of people being chased off the forums by bullies.
Solo Q survivors aren't allowed to not like changes, they just need to "get good".
Killers can complain tho. That's how the forums work.

That means that your build was not even affected by the changes. The point of my post was about the meta changes and how Survivors are trying to find new metas and getting accustomed to new builds and strategies.
Exactly my build didnt even change and the game is still way worse for solo q.

Well, what is your build?
Bond, Kindred, Inner Strength and Lithe. Again, what am I supposed to adjust on? Should I just adjust to the 20 hours megs i'm getting in my lobby when I have almost 6k hours?

I disagree.
My build is still the same and I still play solo q. what am I supposed to adjust to?

I have had no problem with my solo matches. Of course killers are stronger now, but if you always respected the killer before and learned how to play the game and looping without DH, then you are doing fine.
That's the issue, though. People are used to running circles around the killer and having DH as their free out-of-jail card. That's now working anymore and many are confronted with the reality that their skills weren't actually as good as they thought.
Some will drop the game, others will adapt and learn the game and things will carry on.
"If you respected the killer before you'll do fine" you people really have a power fetish.

I'd barely call making m1 killers viable instead of pallet eating + holding w simulator training wheels. I'm super confused how people can justify how terrible the majority of the killers were in chase do people just want to go back to free outs?
Solo Q was never a free out.

Okay, you still have 3 perks and you still have ways to counter the killers build which he used every perk slot for... which has no chase or regression in only slowdown whole replying on survivors to act certain ways
No I dont have 3 more perks. I have kindred for me, I have bond for me, I have inner strength for me, and I have lithe since killer chase was also buffed.

No that's your choice, you arent forced to run certain perks for you team. While I get you're trying to help them it's not worth it as even running kindred multiple people will be waiting for a save lol.
But a killer is using every perk to try achieve that and it takes the killer to do multiple actions while relying on the survivors to also do certain actions like breaking dull totems for no reason
It's not for my team it's for me.

I hope I'll be so lucky. Just had a game were we had 2 sure escapes. One survivor did the gen next to the doors and the killer was after me on the other side. I manage to survive the Blight's rushes long enough to get to the door ... that was not even touched. On the hook I saw the Nea walking on the other side, sparing her Sprint Burst. She died too of course.
I need a group.
If you're interested in SWF I'd more than gladly join

Killers still get 0 regression with that happening and by the time that's built up alot of the progress will be gone.
Plus survivors can counter alot of those debuffs from not detroying totems to give pent, heal to reduce thana or run resilience, prove thyself.
You run perks to counter perks, it's how perk based games are...
Cant run perks to "counter" gen slowdowns in solo q since everything else is already used for solo q

It's amazing what changing Dead Hard can do. (which is the most impactful change) It's almost as if survivors weren't as good as they thought they were, and using Dead Hard every game was actually a detriment to their gameplay, cause now they are cluelessly dying every game. Imagine that.
It was not only dead hard that got changed in case youre still ignorant to it, you should read the patch notes with the killer basekit buffs etc
-
Funny, just yesterday me and @Tsulan had a teabagging ghostface who facecamped him and hit him on hook and then a Bubba who facecamped a Steve. But I'm sure toxicity has been fixed indeed.

Except by base they arent. You're just taking every possible slow down stacked as if a killer spawns with it when in reality a killer has to earn thos higher numbers and by that time loads of gen progress should be done unless the survivors arent being efficient.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3074460#Comment_3074460
Ah yes let's go to the mega extreme and act like its every game.
If that's the case how did killer ever with with 4 survivors with commodious, BNP toolboxes rushing gens with second chance perks... oh that's right, it's not every game.
Besides that's a nurse issue not a gen issue.
Killers can still make it happen and it is a problem.

Just got my first escape ๐ญ (but I didn't try to save the two weak ones who did manage not to open the doors on their side of the map while the killer was busy trying to get me : my altruism is on a free-fall since yesterday)
Going against is not even a idea anymore. As a killer, I had a discussion with a survivor I had versed. One of their teammates, a Meg, was apparently sandbagging and tea-bagging in front of the hooks. Without getting the whole picture, I felt she was responsible for at least one needless death so I made a point killing her and giving the hatch to another.
Been playing for like 5 hours today and I've escaped maybe 3 times. Edit: my queue times are instant too so it's not like i'm wasting time in lobby.

Even if kindred was basekit, randoms still won't do gens when someone's being face camped.
More occasions where they would so, idk what your issue is with it being made basekit

@drsoontm said:

It's not only that. I'm going against survivors who have no clue about the game at all. It's not even a question of being able to survive a chase.
Same for the solo queue. There always at least one player who is at the level of hiding from the killer who is coming to him from his back.
I manage to run the killer for a while (and I'm not very good to begin with so it tells you how good that killer is) and no gens are being done. When I'm hooked I see survivors crouching on the corners, playing with a noodle or something.
I feel like I'm playing against one killer and two or three survivors. (Okay, I had one game were there was only one beginner and we almost did it ... one game since yesterday.)
That's exactly what I feel too. Even tho sometimes theres 4 survivors (if no one dcs or suicides) it always feels like i'm a 3/2vs1

No, but the game was changed. As a survivor, you and your loadout don't exist in a vacuum.
To the point, even if you didn't ever run Dead Hard you still benefitted from its power if anyone else in your match was running it. If someone brings Prove Thyself, you benefit. If you bring Kindred, your teammates benefit.
The game wasnt changed for solo q besides making it worse. My build consists on solo q. Bond, kindred, inner strength and lithe since killers chase power was also buffed.

@Mozic said:

I've been estimating that the additional stress put on survivor's loadouts is part of the impact of the meta-shift. I agree with you that improving in-game information sharing between survivors is important, but that you feel like you can't fit everything you need into one loadout sounds like the patch is having the effect it should. "Something for gens" is now a thing to factor for when it was previously a novelty.
The effect it should? my perks are exactly the same before patch, none of them was nerfed.

Oh its not about deserving to be here and there. Its just that the perk carried people with a decent amount of skill to regions where a lot of skill is required. That backfires now.
Guess I should have used dead hard to not get the 20-100 hour megs in my lobby

Bring a toolbox and gen-speed improving perks ๐ Like, there are resources to offset this. Toolboxes have been considered second rate items compared to the sacred medkit for such a long time merely because gens did not need the help. Now they do.
Ok make kindred basekit and I'll have a free slot for gen repair perks.

A single gen taking 164 seconds is not balanced sorry.

The 1 thing i really hate about the new update is the DS stun nerf.Tunneling is really easy, now that DS is dead.
The worst thing about Solo Queue though is horrendous matchmaking.Solo queue is manageable if every player is around the same level of experience, but that's almost never the case
They overnerfed things that didn't need nerfs. Also their "buffs" like pharmacy, botany and calm spirit are very questionable.

This I fully agree with. The killer buffs are great, but survivors needed something in return. I so want them to add those survivor icons to help out solo survivors. And I want them to actually nerf camping and tunneling, and not actually buff camping.
That's my biggest issue with this. Idc about dead hard or whatever, but basekit buffs for killers and nothing to compensate for solo q just isn't great.

This is just my opinion so it doesn't mean much but you have alot of posts so I assume you've played for a while, and I want to clarify inner strength is a good perk and I'm not hating on it I'm stating my opinion in general
People have gotten too comfortable healing in this game, and against skilled killers you need to make the most of your time, gens go fast if people commit to them and run builds to counteract the slowdown somewhat because there's not enough speed perks you can combine to totally stop it but still adrenaline, resilience is one hell of an underrated combo you're basically staying injured to have a free toolbox and if multiple people are running gen builds with adrenaline the gens will fly by faster than you think and you'll all fly out of there like cockroaches.
I've always said this and caught a bunch of ######### on here but good survivors don't need to heal because they're good enough in chase to stay on gens and still give the killer a decent run if they run up on them, survivors heal too much in today's DBD and there's a time and place for healing like after a gen pops and someone is right there other than stopping everything to reset everytime.
I'd be fine without healing if Iron Will was still available. The moaning just gets on my nerves after a while.

I genuinely don't understand how people can enjoy playing against the same perks over and over again for years and years.
Killer experience before was miserable, with a single dead hard costing you 1 or two gens because of the extra chase time.
About feeling bad about all survivors escaping when I'm surv, If the killer only got a few hooks on me, I would show some pity and gift them a Kill because that's ######### rough and we all been there at least once. If a match was already good to me (bp-wise), I don't see any reason why I shouldn't give the killer some points.
I main both freddy and pig and 1 dead hard did not cost me the game.

I literally play more as a survivor than killer, even have Legacy on Claud as I have been playing since 2016. Sure, I do play both roles, but my preferred role has always been survivor because it's way less stressful than Killer.

My survivor queues before were always instant and killer took 3-5 minutes.
Queue times has nothing to do with fun. It has to do with servers and timezones.

Killers also got told to "git gud" a lot.
Things didn't change because killers complained, things changed because killers weren't playing the game anymore. It took months of the game bleeding players for BHVR to actually take their earplugs out. But I'm sure that's the narrative those type of survivor mains will push.
Considering the survivor ques were minuets long while killer ques were instant yesterday for the majority of players, it doesn't seem like survivor is hurting that much at all. But its still too early to say, survs need to adapt to both the new survivor meta, which appears to be endurance at this time, as well as the new killer changes.
Solo que needs pings at least tho.
Just because people are starving for bloodpoints doesnt mean survivor is ok.

They made so you only get medkits from a chest after you're injured.
By the time you're injured, all chests have been opened already by everyone else.
