  • Thrilling Tremors is a decent perk, but it's not too amazing either. This perk is mostly used for tracking, the slow down effect part from this perk is pretty much worthless. It's good on killers with mobility ( Nurse, Billy, Spirit, Freddy ) and especially when combined with Pop Goes the Weasel, but I still feel like BBQ does the job a little bit better ( because survivors also need to waste time to counter BBQ unless they have Distortion ).

  • @OnryosTapeRentals said:

It really just depends on the character you're playing, the map, the survivor team and other factors.

It is still a potentially powerful perk, although it is easily countered by survivors not repairing a generator while someone gets picked up. It works best on the following killers:

    • The Nurse (she can quickly travel to generators being worked on)
    • The Spirit (same reason)
    • The Hillbilly (same reason)
    • The Nightmare (same reason)

It works best on the following maps:

    • The Game (The map is relatively small so generators are closer together and can be easily patrolled)
    • Haddonfield (same reason)
    • Badham Preschool (same reason)
    • Shelter Woods/Rotten Fields/Wreckers' Yard (because it is open with few obstructions so chases are easier after finding a survivor due to Thrilling Tremors)

Thrilling Tremors forms good synergies with the following perks and add-ons:

    • Tinkerer (Makes you stealthy when approaching a generator and provides additional information about how repaired it is)
    • Surveillance (Allows you to more easily patrol generators and apply generator pressure)
    • Overcharge/Hex:Ruin/Hex:Huntress Lullaby (To slow down generator progress)
    • Discordance (Apply more generator pressure)
    • Wraith Add-on: "All-Seeing" Spirit

Thrilling Trremors also synergy with Pop Goes the Weasel.

Nope that's not true the pig could tunnel the ######### out of you if the trap activated so it is balance.

She can tunnel even now, your point ?

  • If you and your teammates are good at avoiding his stalk, you can do 5 gens before Myers reaches EW3 with that add-on + he is still very loopable even in EW3.

  • Good, new players can just learn to counter BBQ now.

  • In the best case scenario, they might make Demogorgon as strong as the reworked Freddy, but I don't see him in top 3-4 ( Nurse, Spirit, Billy, Hag ).

  • @Kycer said:

Double fatigue?? What’s that? Never heard of it before

There was a bug with Nurse after Saw Chapter where she would wipe her blade and then go into fatigue after hitting a survivor.

  • @ImKateDenson said:

Wats the Mather if someone escape ? My god stop crying about everything this is pathetic, killer can’t every time get a 4k accept it and deal with it

That can be said about survivors, they aren't entitled to escape every match.

  • But if all died, then Claudette isn't that OP and Family Residence isn't such bad map.

  • It's pretty meh and not needed on her. The only killer you might want to use I'm All Ears is Nurse and that's it.

  • @prayer_survivor said:

We can get another perk for survivors: NOWD No one will die. An object is hidden around the map. If the killer don't find it when gens are done or at EGC the survivors automatically escape. Looks balanced too.

But NOED doesn't automatically down all survivors, so your point is flawed.

  • Ruin, Pop, Thana, Monitor and Abuse, Infectious Fright, Enduring + Spirit Fury, BBQ and Surveillance are all good perks on Plague.

A Nurse's Calling, Sloppy Butcher and Coulrophobia are useless on her tho.

So why only glass shards glow? I do not think it's a bug. Survivors need some sort of info, her phase is not audiable in TR which was already a massive buff after PTB.

Well, I heard it was a bug on PS4 at Spirit's release with her shards glowing even brighter than now and that was fixed and because devs didn't say anything about this "intended change", I guess it's a bug again. It might be intended, but any dev confirmed it untill now.

  • Nurse, Freddy ( I know what devs said about him, but I have a weird feeling that an unexpected nerf is coming, like it was with Pig ) and the new killer from PTB to live.

I literally see no thread, maybe just one asking for spirit/billy to be nerfed, legion had no counter play in chase, he needed a change (and yes, I did play old legion) and as for nurse her add ons are currently OP (although I don’t mind) and honestly, nurse herself is a bit too strong(still don’t mind) stop acting like certain changes aren’t needed.

Not saying the other guy is right but both of you are over-dramatizing things.

Dude, I literally saw at least, AT LEAST, 3 threads per week with "Spirit has no counter play, pls nerf" and I recently started to see threads made about Billy tho. There are also threads without anything to do with Spirit/Billy which for some odd reasons lead people to change the subject and start talking about these 2 killers again.

  • Just put an entrance besides that window. Problem solved. There are still worse maps than Ironworks of Misery tho 😁.

  • I would probably buff Pig, she deserve it the most after her EGC nerf.

Only to those without imagination, it completely counters maps, bond, empathy, denies seeing the auras of survivors downed or hooked, and the kindred effect. Very powerful in the right situation, but your free to use whatever add-ons you want. Though I highly stress using Dream Snares

Oh, so you counter the things that almost no one uses and the things that matter are irrelevant with a 60 seconds timer. So it's still a trash add-on.

    >billy has cooldowns on missing & on hitting an object

    Thanks, Cap.

    >Asking for longer cooldowns would turn him into an even easier-to-loop Killer.

I did not speak about this, but about limiting the possibility of constant spam using a saw. In order to have to think where you can to saw, and not press the button constantly. And do not fly from gens to gens continuously. For example, after 10 charges of a saw - overheating and cooldown 10-15 sec.

Billy with 15 seconds cooldown wouldn't be even in top 5 killers anymore. He would fall a lot. Without his mobility, he is nothing.

  • I already talk about this combo in a previoulsy thread and one of the devs told me that she talked with team design and they will decide if they will let Head On working with Sprint Burst and she also said that in her opinion, they shouldn't work together.

  • @BlueFang said:

If your struggling to apply pressure with Freddy

Run Make Your Choice, BBQ, Weasel, Hex: Haunted Grounds

Absolute INSANE pressure. You will have them exposed so often they'll eventually succumb to attrition and just stop healing meaning everyone can now be one shot

BBQ and Weasel combined with Freddy's teleport allows you to maintain control on oppisite sides of the map. Playing on Yamaoka and the survivor ran you to the other side of the map? Just hook him, teleport to the generator, pop it, patrol and then go smack the survivor that ran to unhook with make your choice, and do it all over again

When you play him right he is insane at the pressure. Also run Dream Snares especially with Unicorn block as they can be really nasty in the right situation with that add-on

Unicor Block ? That add-on is trash.

  • Because OoO disables every killer besides Nurse and Spirit and it's insanely powerful in SWF teams. But the only killer I saw DCing against OoO is Hag, usually people don't DC even against 4 man OoO.

I’m doubtful they are messing with base Nurse. Her add-ons are getting changed though.

I can only imagine somebody really complaining about Leatherface. “hE hAs An InStAdOwN pLz NeRf HiM!!!!”

If the trend did continue it would be Billy, Hag, then Huntress.

I actually saw people already complaining about green add-ons on Plague. Apparently, these add-ons are "toxic".

  • From where are these ideas with 2 new survivors ? You really think they gonna release 6 new survivors perks in this chapter, especially now, when their ideas for new perks are limited, because of how many perks we already have ?

    Easy tracking.

She literally cannot see Survivors when she's ghosting. She gets the same scratchmarks/moving plants/blood as EVERY OTHER KILLER.

But somehow, NOT seeing Survivors makes her track people EASIER.

    ...WHAT!?

She doesn't even get blood without an ultra rare add-on.

But by trying to cut you off she takes a gamble that you will continue the loop. If you run from the loop, or take a different path she won't catch you. Also unless she has MDR at some of these loops she can't make it all the way around in a single phase, especially if she was already phasing before you got to the window. So even if she predict right, she will be ending her phase walk long before she gets back around to you, which means you are now getting chased by a 110 killer.

Sometimes she still catches up before you vault that window, depending on the add-ons she has, how far are you to the loop and your positioning. I saw plenty of Spirits hitting survivors right before jumping on the Grim Pantry window.

  • I am thankfull for devs releasing Spirit ( my favourite killer ) and for devs killing Mettle of Man ( which was a stupid perk ).

  • @thesuicidefox said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/633766#Comment_633766

You need to re-read my comments.

I'm not saying these loops aren't strong. I'm saying they are STRONGER against Spirit than other killers for the exact reason she is forced to end phase walk and vault, or continue phase walk and cut you off potentially wasting it.

But if she cuts you off it isn't wasting. Also, she can deal with them better than other killers with certain add-ons.

  • @thesuicidefox said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/633732#Comment_633732

That's debatable, my point is that these loops are very strong against Spirit, more than all other killers (except Huntress). And unlike all other killers, she can't bring Bambo because that shows when she vaults a window so she loses some mind game potential, meaning she might get better at these loops at the cost of being worse at other loops. Not worth it IMO.

Actually, these loops are very strong against majority of the killers, even 115% speed killers usually avoid chasing survivors on strong buildings ( Ironworks of Misery, Disturbed Ward, Grim Pantry, Haddonfield ), because they are too time wasting even for them.

  • @thesuicidefox said:

I agree with the OP. Despite what some claim as having no counter play, she does indeed have counter play. But it's not as easy as other killers because you need to have good prediction and reading skills. You have to understand what is the most optimal choice and take it. You can't hesitate either, you need to make a decision and do it ASAP. The longer you wait to do something the more likely she will get you. Sometimes making a bad decision quickly is better than making a good decision slowly. Remember she has to track you while she can't see you, and scratch marks take about a second to pop up. You have room to work with that.

Also, people fail to understand a very important thing about Spirit... she can't vault during phase walk. That means windows and downed pallets are your safest option to counter her, even to loop her. While most of the really strong window loops are just good in general against almost any killer, they are ESPECIALLY effective against Spirit because she has to stop phase walk to vault, or waste her power trying to cut you off. Unlike Hag she can't break the loop. Unlike Nurse she can't just ignore the loop and teleport through the wall. Unlike Huntress she can't get a cheeky long range hit at certain angles (which to be fair Huntress is still hurt badly by these loops too, just making a point that she's actually better at those loops than Spirit). So if you want to consistently beat a good Spirit, use windows. LT windows are not nearly as good, and neither are jungle gyms, but depending on the context they can work. If you run to a pallet drop it right away, because pallets are not safe against a Spirit.

I seriously can't tell you how many survivors, who I've played and are really good loopers, just become complete potatoes against Spirit. It's like their brain just leaks out their ears. Too many survivors just run blindly and don't even try to predict you, some survivors overthink it and do really dumb stuff to try and mind game you, and other survivors don't seem to understand stealth at all. Then there are those few chosen ones that actually understand what to do and do it well and consistently. I had a game the other day I was trying a fun build (Insidious, MYC, Prayer Beads, you can figure it out) and I got a group of players I'm friends with. I decided I will play normally and then ease up, mess around, and let them go because I know PB Spirit is lame and my build was super lame. Anyway, one of them I chased around a small pallet loop for literally like 2 minutes. Granted I was screwing around trying to mind game her, but she didn't fall for ANY of it. I could have easily brute forced the loop, either normal chase or in phase walk, but I was practicing stuff. She predicted everything I did, avoided getting hit for a very long time, and had that been a normal game I would say that she was the reason they all survived (outside of me just letting them survive) because she occupied a lot of my time as this one loop.

These survivors exist, and counter play does indeed exist against Spirit. Her power is not infallible, it's just very hard to wrap your head around.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/633290#Comment_633290

You know there is almost always an optimal choice that she can't beat right? If you see her standing still walk away and break LOS. If she is phasing, no scratch marks. If she is not, you force her to either chase normally or phase after you without knowing your exact position.

People don't understand that it's not really a guessing game as much as it is a calculation of the available options. There isn't an infinite amount of things she can do in that situation, there are 2. Stand there and wait, or phase walk. And unless you are in a really bad spot most of the time you can get away by just saying to yourself "well if I do this, she will have a harder time tracking me in phase walk and I can use that time to make it to this next loop". It really isn't rocket science. The problem is survivors overthink these things and do really stupid stuff like vault the pallet into her face or try to hide in plain view, or just take off running with no care whatsoever.

I've been able to consistently beat good Spirit's that use the stand still mind game. And as Spirit, I've had many survivors that don't fall for a single trick I try to pull. They force me to either brute force the loop in a normal chase, or always phase walk and do what is most predictable.

It indeed is a mind game, one that survivors mostly do to themselves. There is always an optimal choice that will greatly reduce the effectiveness of this trick.

Actually, Huntress is still weaker than Spirit against these buildings, just yesterday I saw a Huntress being afraid of putting a offering for Autohaven Wreckers just because she might get Wretched Shop, LMAO.

  • Her hit boxes are fine, I actually never saw Plagues having problems in landing hits.

You can use Monitor and Abuse to catch broken survivors off guard, Infectious Fright is very good on her now that it works with Corrupt Purge too, Thanatophobia + Pop Goes the Weasel can help you to slow down the game if survivors don't cleanse and Enduring + Spirit Fury can also help you to down broken survivors more easier.

Also, you can use Apples to get your power and force the survivors to cleanse, because they know that you will get your Corrupt Purge anyway.

They haven't said this, but I'm extremely confident that Haddonfield is the next map to get a rework. This map is so horrible for killers. The only killers I feel aren't screwed by this map are Trapper (he can trap the house loops), Spirit (except when the infinite at Myers house is open, because windows like that crush her), and Freddy (if he has snares, he sets 2-3 along the loop and breaks it, also because he can gen teleport). Everyone else gets massively dumped on with this map, and even these guys it's not a good map for them just more neutral.

Hag and Nurse can deal with this map too.

  • @gantes said:

If you know how to use them, snares are pretty damn good as is. He doesn't need any buffs period.

EDIT: and he already has map pressure. Stop trying to overload killer kits, focus on asking for buffs for killers who aren't this good.

I would say his blocks add-ons needs buffs, a purple add-on should not give Hemorrhage period.

    Here's the thing.

You're thinking about top level play only from a survivor's perspective.

When I say top level play, I mean the best of the best survivors AND killers.

And the best of the best Spirit can wipe the floor with survivors.

The best Nurses can predict every survivor movement, the best Spirits can do the same, and guarantee free hits all the time, and the best Hillbillies know precisely how to curve around obstacles and get insane hits. Have you seen how the best Huntresses play? It's crazy.

Just because other killers are weak and can't apply pressure and "the only way to play at rank one is to play the top 4!!!11" doesn't mean they're immune to critical analysis and possibly nerfs.

And I'm gonna be honest, all of the top four killers have some stupid crazy things they can do at top level play. And those things probably deserve to be nerfed. Hillbilly's curve. Huntresses' hitboxes. Nurse and Spirits minimal counterplay.

Please, don't nerf Huntress, she is already killed by map design like no other killer and even the most BS hit boxes don't help her when she gets looped for 3-4 minutes around certains buildings ( Wretched Shop, Groaning Storehouse, Grim Pantry ).

  • Because she is a viable killer, which can deal with most of survivors BS, of course survivors will ask for nerfs ...

  • @BenZ0 said:

Alright thats fine then, i didnt know the exect numbers of the range that you gain from these addons, that makes sense then. But i wonder why ppl say then omega blink is the MOST OP ######### IN THE GAME COMPLETLY BROKEN and stuff, because its just 7 meters so ye nurse overall is broken so ye, in that fact you could say every addon is broken :D

But still thanks for the explonation!

Because Omega Blink also increases the range of the second blink and can let you hit survivors from very far away. So even if you messed up your first blink and survivors gain enough distance on you, it doesn't matter if you have Omega Blink. Also, it doesn't have any real downside and you need less charge time to travel certain distances ( without range add-ons you need a full charge to travel 20 meters, but with range add-ons you don't need a full charge to travel 20 meters ), so range add-ons also decreased charge speed in practice. But some people overracting a little bit their strength, like you can't fully traverse the map even with Omega Blink, unless you play on a small map like The Game.
