The hate towards Spirit is beyond me.
I met a survivor who accepted to play even against a Nurse with 3 blinks, but when he played against Spirit, he DCed immediately after he got downed. Like #########, a 3 blink Nurse doesn't mind you, but a Spirit with 2 green add-ons does ?

Correction: survivors don’t cleanse against a POTATO Plague. Even high rank survivors eventually cleanse when they realise their mistake going against a Plague good with her M1, doesn’t fall for long looping nonsense, and doesn’t stray too far from gens.
And you can throw in an Apple. That’s enough to frighten survivors into cleansing.
It's not worth the add-on slot still. High rank survivors seems to not want to cleanse even if they are going down constantly and untill they decide to cleanse, the game is over already.

Speed matters in this game, so her movement speed, activation speed, reduced cooldown add ons for either VP or CP are just pure gold. Being able to stop mid chase at a fountain to activate CP real quick and catch back up to the survivor super quick make these her most valuable add-ons.
The problem is that people don't cleanse against her and that's why they are ineffective.
-
Devour Hope, Haunted Ground, NOED and Make Your Choice is a very fun and mean build on Spirit.
Rancor + Save The Best For Last + charge time add-ons can also be a deadly combo on her.
Surveillance + Thrilling Tremors + Pop Goes the Weasel can help you to stall the game effectively.
-
Hex:Ruin, Pop Goes the Weasel, Thanatophobia and Monitor and Abuse is a good build on Plague. You can also replace Thanatophobia with Infectious Fright, Surveillance, Barbecue and Chilli or even Whispers.
Black Incense is by far the strongest Plague's add-on. Apple, cooldown, effectiveness and charge time add-ons are very good too. Iridescent Seal is pretty situational, but can do work. Infection time, duration of Corrupt Purge and speed while holding Corrupt Purge add-ons are trash and you should ignore them.
-
I agree that Second Wind isn't that good. It looks good on paper, but I think in practice it won't be that great. You need a fully heal to activate this perk, so if you are the first one being chased and hooked, the perk won't do anything after your first hook and maybe even after the second one if you can't heal someone in that time or you get tunneled. Then, you are broken after you get unhooked, so if your unhooker has We'll Make It, you made his perk useless on you. Then you need to be outside of the terror radius for this perk to heal and that can be easy against stealth killers or impossible against giant terror radius Doctor. And all the killer needs to do is to down you before being able to heal which deactivates your perk. This perk seems to be even more situational than Deliverance or Unbreakable. The effect is cool, but it has too many restrictions attached to it for the perk to be effective.
I agree that Nancy's perks are better than Steve's perks.

stridor isnt top tier, but it's a good perk. and im not trying to prove anything, like i said my point is that survivors have few useful perks compared to killers who have nearly all perks useful.
That's a lie, killers have mmany useless and niche perks as well.

NOED: Annoying perk but just cleanse totems.
Nurse's: Don't heal inside terror radius.
BBQ: Hide in a locker.
Make Your Choice: Play more cautiously, resort to stealth over anything else.
Surveillance: Understandable, annoying and no actual counterplay.
Discordance: Work on the gen alone?
PGTW: Also understandable, annoying and no actual counter.
Haunted Grounds: Resort to stealth.
Ruin: Work through it, if you come across the totem, cleanse it.
Spirit Fury, Enduring: Drop pallets early, it wastes more time than stunning the killer when this combo is being used.
Whispers: Gives the killer a helping hand, is in no way shape or form strong.
Thanatophobia: Gives almost no impact on action speed.
Stridor: Practically useless.
Practically all of these perks can be made useless by survivor actions and choices, just like how survivor perks can be made useless by the killer's actions and choices.
NOED and A Nurse's Calling will get nerfed indirectly by Inner Strength, Nurse's Calling is already not to good anymore because survivors don't heal as much as they used to and Thanatophobia and Stridor are useless, you make fun out of yourself by listing them. Oh, and Discordance is overrated, it procs maybe 1 time per match before survivors start to counter it.

That's bc Omegablink and 4 Blink have zero downsides. There's a giant downside to object of obsession
I wouldn't call revealing your aura a giant downside, not against loopable killers. I know survivors who run this perk just because they don't care about their aura being revealed and have no problem being chased by the killer.

I think every killer can be good, if the player has good skill with him. I have faced trappers that are just unbeatable even without OP perks.
1 Trapper is never unbeatable.
2 There aren't any OP perks.
-
She is the 4th best killer in my opinion. The fact that she gets destroyed by a SWF team with Object of Obsession doesn't matter that much when every killer not Nurse or Spirit gets destroyed by such team. And anyway, nobody is gonna use Object anymore, once the Undetectable status effect will be added.
-
@PickCollins said:
I'm still confused why ppl say Ghostface against Object is useless. I've seen Object running SWF get boot stomped by Ghostface and have done it myself. It's impossible to communicate pinpoint locations to Surviviors on every map (ever try telling someone where the killer is on the Game? Or Lerys? It's a wreck lemme tell ya). Object gives you a pinpoint look but bc there's a human behind that pinpoint look, they can only give a general idea of where the killer is.
Not to mention object already carries a massive weakness of exposing the Survivior to the killer.
Either way. Ghostface as a killer is fine. He is not a Myers knockoff. He has defining characteristics that make him what I would argue an A tier killer.
Object makes his power useless. He can't sneak up on survivors and survivors can reveal him more easily. Also, your point that you see Ghost Faces winning against SWF teams with Object is flawed. For example, I saw 4 man escapes against Omega Blink Nurses, that makes Omega Blink Nurse balanced suddenly ?

You're missing the point. There's no denying he's faster with his frenzy, which is why it makes sense for him to get a quick hit that injures most survivors then just get regular hits where it takes longer to get the first hit and longer to get the second hit. With gf, you get the first hit almost instantly on ALL survivors which then allows you to start a regular chase with one health state out of the way and other survivors heeling. It provides a bunch of map pressure if you know how to you. Still not seeing how his power should be made even better to the point where you can negate the chase of a whole health state and then almost immediately down them after.
If survivors aren't idiots, you won't injure them all.

Well, I don't remember the last PTB not being in a Tuesday. Peanits said the PTB will be soon, so my guess is it will be tomorrow.

Actually it is. Undetectable is basically what tier 1 Myers is minus the slow speed and no lunge. Spine Chill is a detection perk, and Myers for example, is immune to it in tier 1. Undetectable will REALLY benefit stealth killers, and so so with certain non-stealth killers.
You can say that Undetectable is what Spirit has, because aura perks don't work against her while she's phasing, but Spine Chill and Premonition still does.

Do you playing him with good add-ons or not?
Because I am counting base power level and not add-ons.
Sorry but I found Legion slightly more dangerous than Wraith.
Base power ? If I was to make a tier list based w/o add-ons, I would have at least 6 "unplayable" killers. There are too many lackluster killers without add-ons and almost nobody plays killer in red ranks without add-ons.

Spirit is boring, guess you're a Spirit main who loves getting rekt by the most boring thing in the game.
Spirit starts chasing you = Stands still
You get to a pallet or window = Stands still
Spirit sees you = Stands still
You breath = Stands still
What a fun and interactive killer
How do you get hit by someone that just stand still ?
-
Pig is a solid mid tier. Trapper is the worst killer. You could also argue for Clown or Legion.
-
I want DS to not trigger a skill check if the survivor is grabbed out of a locker for the sake of counter play, however, I find it very funny when a survivor is grabbed from a locker, stun the killer with DS and then use an Instant Heal, just to piss the killer off.

Yeah but the spirit just seems like a worse nurse, she basically is like the nurse except instead of teleportation you run fast and you cant see survivors I say weak.
Literally every killer is a "weak Nurse". Theoretically, there is no point in playing any other killer other than Nurse.
Spirit is the second strongest killer in the game once you learn her and she even isn't too hard to play ( that if survivors don't bring specific perks like Iron Will ).
Also, she has Spirit Fury ( very good for M1 killers ) and Haunted Ground ( good snow ball perk ). Rancor can also be nice.
However, you can get Spirit with Iridescent Shards, so if you want to buy a licensed character, go for Myers. Ghost Face is pretty inconsistent and buggy at the moment.

Second Wind Confuses me? Would it work for any Broken status since the perk makes you Broken. Would it overpower any status effect that makes you Broken. When the Deliverance timer ends, would you then heal over time? So many questions.
Devs said it doesn't overpower other broken status effects. Like if you unhook yourself with Deliverance, you need to get rid of that broken status effect first ( 60 seconds ) and just then the Second Wind Wills starts to passively heal you and after 20 seconds of another brokn status effect, you get healed.

Is this Badham Preschool 1 ? Yeah, that map still has problems.

They should all be reworked or removed. Keys, mories, instadowns and heals. No one enjoys getting robbed a down because of an instaheal and no one enjoys getting robbed a kill or 2 because of a key. No one enjoys getting insta downed or getting moried. It leads to toxic and unfair gameplay and involved no skill at all.
There are 4 killers that have instant down in their base kit. You demand nerfs for these too ?

Spine chill? Spine doesn't show you if a spirit is Phasing or faking. It's only really helpful against prayer beads spirit. And even than, the killer can moonwalk to gens and render that perk useless.
Premonition has a cooldown, so it's not reliable. Also, it's a wasted perkslot against all other killers and I don't like to use one perk slot just to counter one single killer (which as I said isn't reliable cuz cooldown).
Key with purple addon (forgot the name) shows spirit aura of hee Phasing? That's new to me. However, keys and that addon are limited + any killer who is seeing a key in the lobby will equip a mori.
You can't see Spirit's aura while she is phasing, but Spirit also can't see your aura as well.

I understand what you are going for, but you are looking at this the wrong way.
Instead of saying that stealth killers shouldn't get Undetectable (which they really need), you should be asking for those bad perks to be buffed.
So if Alert really is as bad of a perk as you are saying, and this new status effect makes it even worse, then they should be buffing Alert, no?
If OoO is really so bad that it helps the killer and not the survivor running it, then they should buff the perk.
Stealth killers (especially Wraith) REALLY need this new effect.
Ah, and OoO doesn't need any buff.

How would you buff Alert in this case ? It already was massively buffed in one patch, when they gave to this perk unlimited range and no cooldown.

Slippery Meat.
Honorable mentions : Premonition, Small Game, Saboteur, Open Handed, Up the Ante, Sole Survivor, Technician, No Mither, Wake Up, Vigil, Detective's Hunch, Stake Out, Boil Over, Diversion, Autodidact, Solidarity and Mettle of Man.

I don't understand why people call Iron Maiden a counter to Inner Strength. Theoretically it is, but practically, any non potatoe survivor will be able to loop you for 15 seconds and make the exposed status from Iron Maiden useless. Did you forgot why 20 seconds of exposed status from Ghost Face old power was very bad ? Because survivors could literally run from a certain distance in a straight line and you wouldn't be able to catch them before the exposed status ran out. That's the exact problem with Iron Maiden, 90% of the time won't do anything against Inner Strength.
-
Survivors work all the time through Ruin on the PC.
-
But what would be the point of stealth killers then ?
-
On Pig you can go with the "M1 build' : Ruin, BBQ, Enduring and Spirit Fury or you can switch up for Pop Goes the Weasel + Surveillance ( you can sneak up on people better and have better gen defense with these perks) or Monitor and Abuse + Whispers ( to know exactly when to crouch ).
-
Ghost Face is rather weak. It's enough 1 Object of Obsession and you don't have a power. SWF teams will always keep an eye on you and will transform you in a M1 killer that can turn his TR off from time to time. His power cooldown is so long, then playing Ghost Face without power recovery rate add-ons is atrocious. You can get revealed behind cover. And he can't even camp with his power unlike Pig and Wraith because even hooked and dying survivors can reveal you, even if you are behind something.

I would agree if I failed this repeatdly at rank 1 but I don't so sounds like your issue at this point. If plenty other can pull it off then you should be able to, and at that point one survivor should be dead if you haven't kill one person yet well I don't know what to tell you.
I saw plenty of survivors escaping 3 gen strats are rank 1, so your point is invalid. But how you kill 1 person ? Because you said to abandon chases with strong survivors to chase weak survivors. But if in that team aren't any weak survivors, who you chase then ? How you kill them then ?

there are only few actually bad perks in your list. you probably listed all of that because YOU don't like to use them. i say for example dying light and third seal are actually pretty good but u refuse to use them because they're not OP and meta perks..
There doesn't exist any OP perks. I bet you can't tell me 1 OP perk.
Third Seal is a Hex perk, so it can be destroyed in the first 30 seconds of the match + SWF teams hard counters this perk.
Dying Light is trash, it forces you to tunnel your obsession with a Mori, without a Mori there is no reason to use this perk.
By your logic, I can say survivors have a few bad perks, but you don't like to use them because they aren't "OP meta perks".
-
@StupidButTru said:

That's if you're impatient, patience goes a long way. If you're insecure you can run Surveillance which makes this strat strong, if they don't play by your rules they just make it harder on themselves. If you catch them working on any of the gens just hit them and force them away, if they're feeling frisky they're more likely to return to that gen and more than likely they will screw up. I do this strat especially against swf groups and I always get a 4k out of it.
You still can't put enough pressure on 4 survivors. It doesn't matter that you have a 3 gen strat, if 4 survivors are still alive, they gonna get the gens done. And the 3 gens strats is just survivors fault that they didn't spread out the gens.
-
@StupidButTru said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/649337#Comment_649337
Then do this technique you force the survivors on one side of the map let them complete those gens, keep the three generators that are close together untouched meaning keep them away. Once they pop all the other gens except for those three, they're forced to work those gens that are close together. I did this a few nights ago against a sweaty swf and let's just say I recieved 4 hate mails calling me a no life killer.
But survivors can avoid 3 gens strats + if they are 4 survivors alive, a 3 gen strat will do nothing, because you still need to down and kill the survivors, but if survivors put enough pressure on gens, you won't succeed.
-
There are more God loops like the main building from Disturbed Ward, the main building from Groaning Storehouse with the God window open, the main building from Grim Pantry and the main building from Ormond.

@StupidButTru said:

They don't get a free escape if you just protect the gens and prevent them from getting them done, go after the weak ones and kill them first.
But what if they aren't any weak survivors ?
